Negative experience: Always waiting 30 mins after scheduled appointment

Negative experience: I had an ultrasound here recently and unfortunately didn’t have a great experience. The lady who performed my ultrasound made me feel really uncomfortable and anxious hinting there was something wrong but not explaining to me what it was . Considering this is a very invasive test I would have appreciated more care and support .

Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an X-ray and ultrasound done today and the whole team were awesome. The receptionist was really warm and welcoming, and the techs were kind, patient, and super quick. You can tell they genuinely care about people and make you feel comfortable the whole way through. Such a friendly, family-style place — highly recommend Iris Imaging!

Negative experience: Im basing this off my experience three days ago, they were great when getting the CT scan, very professional and fast. But they didn't send my CT scan to my doctor, so when I contracted them three days later to see what was happening, they said they hadn't received anything. So I tried to call them, no answer, multiple times. So I even went to the centre, and there was a sign on the door saying they are closed, on a friday. I was absolutely fumming, and still on. So not only did you not do your job probably, so the doctors cant help me over the weekend with my pain etc. You didnt even have a voicemal to let people know you are not open. So unprofessional. I still cant believe it.

Negative experience: One of the worst experiences i ha e ever been a part of. Trying to support someone after their scans (that were over 2 hours late by this point) the male dr came in and decided that is was a massive issue I was in the room and the way he spoke to me and raised his voice at me triggered a panic attack for the person I was supporting making them have to leave. The excuse give was miscommunication. Even if that was the case that Drs behaviour was completely out of line and unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Anyone looking for a ultrasound or X - ray , do yourself a favour and look no further than Iris Imaging Sir Overall Drive Helensvale, not only do they Bulk Bill which is hard to find these days , foremost all the Reception staff and Doctors and X ray operators are excellent, they ask all the right questions and put you at ease . Negative experience: We waited a long time for the scan time they gave us while we were in a very difficult situation. And they were in no hurry. I don't think I will ever come again.

Fantastic experience: I went to Iris imaging yesterday, wow what a beautiful clean and professional company. From walking in and seeing the wonderful ladies at the front desk and then waiting for your time you get to relax listening to beautiful relaxing music. I have veins that just don’t like to play so the beautiful young nurse tried so hard felt so bad, had to get Doctor. Once that was done I got my CT scan done. Thank you for being so patient with me. It has bought back that there is care out there.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely AMAZING. Best imaging on the coast!! I have been here quite a few times this year and I cannot praise this company enough. The reception staff are always so kind and patient and as I am an anxious customer, they always seem to get me an appointment on the same day of calling. Every member of staff are just wonderful. Negative experience: Again rude and dismissive customer service when I tried and make a booking with Iris Imaging. Again a female of course. She had a strong foreign accent but I don't recall her name. I explained to the lady that I was coming from a different practice that I used for years and where my experienced Sonographer left and I was looking for another senior expert sonographer as me and my wife had cancer and needed several accurate ultrasound per year. I asked how experienced the sonographer in their practice was. I was answered abruptly to call back to my previous practice and ask them to find another expert sonographer there. I could not believe to my ears... I thanked and hang up. Thank you Iris Imaging and thank you rude lady. I hope you will be replaced soon and sent back where you came from.

Fantastic experience: The lady who served us at reception had great customer service and she was very friendly. Some of the others werent as much. I wish i got her name, she was always smiling and making conversation with us. The sonographer was also very friendly, polite, and made me feel comfortable. I dont know why i havent been here before. Ill be back for all my futute scans. They also booked me in within 1.5 hours of calling.

Positive experience: My mother had CT scan here with Katie While we found her a lovely female, the results came as a shock! The GP told mother that no results came through because the breath was not held properly. I was beside my mother translating the machine instructions and I would see mother hold her breath whenever asked. The receptionist couldn't see the images as well so why were not the test taken again while mother was under the scanner?

Fantastic experience: I had an Angiogram at Iris Helensvale today and my experience was excellent from the reception to the scan. I am disabled with other health concerns that makes having scans MRI's and xrays very challenging for myself and the technicians. Today the young english lady who assisted me was so patient , friendly , helpful and non judgemental. She put me at ease straight away with her understanding nature. The other lady assisting with my cannula and scan was also lovely and very patient. My protective husband was very impressed with how the ladies dealt with my challenges today which he very rarely is. We will be Iris clients for life !! Thank you team Jen

Negative experience: The sonographer here was nice, however our overall experience was worsened by poor customer service at the front desk. The ultrasound we paid for was unable to be completed, yet we paid the full amount and were told we would have to pay the full amount again to complete the ultrasound. Disappointing and not handled very compassionately.

Positive experience: I have been to Iris Imaging in the past and have had no issues all of the staff have been kind and respectful towards me however today I went in for a Pelvic Ultrasound and the woman had to keep repeating everything to me as I am hard of hearing and notified her of me being deaf and every time she had to pull her mask down so that I could understand her she then sighed and rolled her eyes in frustration at me after I would respond to her questions. I understand having to repeat yourself multiple times gets frustrating but try being hearing impaired since you were a child and being made to feel like you are different or a burden to people because you cannot hear and have to make people repeat themselves. The lady who did my ultrasound needs some more training in how to be kinder and more patient and understanding towards patients especially ones who are special needs.

Negative experience: Went for a abdominal pain ultrasound , lady was so rude she shouldn’t work in this industry , I told her she was hurting me too much , was nearly in tears

Negative experience: Called to check the specialist doing my scan today was not a trainee, my question was is the technician I will be seeing today fully qualified or are they a trainee, she said they are qualified but would not say fully, I said ok but are they a trainee or not as I do not want a trainee and she said they are qualified, end result was the female technician on today is 100% a trainee and the lady on the phone would not tell me until I kept repeating the question, ending up cancelling the appointment she was not straight up and if I hadn't kept asking I would of turned up and had the trainee do my scan without me knowing.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful fitout. All the equipment and furnishings look like new. Always friendly and professional staff with short wait times.

Negative experience: Don’t usually leave reviews but really annoyed at this practise. I went there for my 6 week pregnancy dating scan a few months ago and didn’t have a great experience down to the service. Just called to book my 20 week scan which my gp gave me a referral to their practise specifically. She kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me speak, and then once she let me say what scan it was she said “we don’t do that” and blatantly hung up on me. So many other radiology clinics that have good service and care for their patients, wouldn’t even consider trying here again.

Fantastic experience: Wow! You appreciate good practice when you go to a bad place. Firstly this place is clean and pristine. Sliding doors to enter, hand sanitizer. Waiting room with nice flat screen and clean seating. Rooms and toilet are clean unlike a well known radiology company that I went to with overflowing bins with condoms or used ultrasound covers on the floor. Furthermore, they have screens at the top so while you are having your ultrasound you can see what they are doing above you. I would have thought south coast has this but they don’t. Dr was polite and readily available for me. Now forget about the awesome experience, now report writing is crucial, the doctor wrote a detailed report and once again I am comparing this to a vague report by another clinic. Now when you get home you start wondering what your pics look like, yes you guessed it… it was uploaded online for me same day. Was provided with logins and all. Iris I will always go back to you guys and refer my friends. Thanks to the two lovely ladies at reception who got me in same day and didn’t make it seem like it was a trip to the moon….

Negative experience: Lovely ladies at reception. All was OK until l got into the room. Don't get me wrong and lm not blaming the lovely lady who was obviously learning the ropes BUT there should have been someone experienced in the room with her. I expressed my concerns at her using my left arm to gain access to my veins as my right arm clearly has a better vein. She ignored me. It was obviously going to be difficult as l know from experience. She placed the tourniquet on my left arm but it was up against my elbow which l had to move up as it was painful. She then asked me to make a fist. Far enough but this went on for over a minute. Not good. Pins and needles set in. She took ages to put in the canula and then blood everywhere which she decided to clean up while l was still waiting for her to finish taping down the now blood stained canula, my arm and the bed. Then someone appeared and repositioned me on the bed and explained to the person why etc. Waiting, waiting. This is usually a quick procedure and l totally understand that people have to learn the ropes. Then the contrast went in and lm not even sure that any images were produced as she came in and said all done. I questioned her and she said yes. She said l could leave but the bed was still too high and l had to call out to her to lower the bed so that l could safely climb off. Then said the results would be ready the next day which l again questioned, they are never ready the next day unless there is an issue. Sure enough after ringing my GP no results arrived next day and were not expected for a few days . I'm all for gaining experience and by no means am l blaming this person who was lovely, and trying hard, l just feel that you need someone with a degree of experience with these trainees at all times whilst they are learning. My husband even remarked 'what's all that blood on your arm' l have always had a good outcome when l visit Iris but this one episode was memorable for sure in all the wrong ways.

Fantastic experience: I have been going Iris Imaging for some ten years including the family found they have picked up on things the others overlook on two occasions

Negative experience: Incredibly rude Doctor. Just in it for the money so that he can bulk bill medicare (or bulk bill us taxpayers). Its not about a caring medical service trying to giving the best service, its a McDonalds style system of scan scan scan scan! Faster scanning means more money so that the Radiologists can buy his 9th BMW to add to his collection! Also not providing basic CPR to a women who was in full cardiac arrested at the time and as a result is now dead just looks absolutely brilliant!! Go and look it up, the Doctor is in the news about this.

Negative experience: I have just been refused medical service due to my disability. This place is about to be sued for disability discrimination and refusal to provide medical assistance. Don't come here.

Negative experience: My experience here was absolutely awful! The male staff there is incredibly rude, insensitive and unprofessional. At the first signs of discomfort he started to open up the door and told me to get out if I won't immediately comply, this was the response to me merely saying "Man this is uncomfortable" as I followed his instructions. He then continued to berate and humiliate me, asking why I even came, what was I expecting that you'd just walk through an xray machine, ect. He talked down to me like I was an idiot when I asked if everythings alright, he rushed me out before I could even clean the gel. I left a mess, barely keeping the tears back. This was by far the worst experience I've had never come here!

Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted!! After doing a dated ultrasound, and the male doctor struggling to get a good picture as well as failing to explain anything about our baby to us (heartbeat, how many weeks, due date) I requested to get an internal scan. He said he is happy to but he wants my partner to leave. I asked for someone else and he said they are all uncomfortable as its a personal choice. He put zero effort into this and what was meant to be an exciting experience for me and my little family, I walked out extremely upset and unsatisfied. This is the Asian Dr BTW. Before I left he said if zi want to know anything to look online at my scans. Woe. . Just wow!!!

Negative experience: Wow a radiology doctor that don’t care at all, very insensitive especially with pregnant woman who suffered multiple losses. He was the black guy with the african accent, he’s very rude. What an awful service!! Not recommending at all. If you care

Fantastic experience: Dr Emerchete is a true professional who can see things, in scans, ultra sounds ect that other doctors miss. If you want to heal, he is the doctor to visit.

Fantastic experience: A while back, Dr Emechete found a clot in my husband's lung, which had been previously missed by a hospital xray dept. The emergency department doctors had stated that my husband was simply having a bout of vertigo, and that he was ok to go home. Thank goodness Dr Emechete had given us his report and the scans to take to hospital as proof. I believe he saved my husband's life.

Fantastic experience: I have attended all the highly rated clinics on the Gold Coast for cortisone injections for my long term injury before I attended the helensvale clinic. Dr Emechete is the best doctor Ive had for cortisone injections. He takes his time and care to achieve the best results and the least painful experience. I wont see any other doctor from now on for my cortisone injections. I highly recommend Dr Emechete and the clinic at helensvale

Negative experience: The reception is friendly and happy to assist, although the Doctor rushed me in and out in minutes. He failed identify the glass in my hand that could be felt through my skin (if he didn't refuse to take 2 seconds to run his fingers over the lump). Wanted to send me back to the same GP that refered me to him in the first place. Clear that he was just trying to palm me off. Refused to answer the last question I had for him the moment I stepped out of his office. Lazy and rude.

Fantastic experience: A lot of comments on here about how bad this place is..couldn't be further from the truth.Very polite and in and out no hassle. Definitely recommend

Negative experience: I would not recommend going here. Dr was condescending and told me my breast lump was nothing to worry about. He refused to do the core biopsy that was requested by my GP and instead performed a FNA. This resulted in a suspicious for cancer result, which meant I had to go elsewhere for the core biopsy to confirm the diagnosis of breast cancer. Additional, unnecessary testing and a delay in diagnosis due to the incompetence and arrogance of the doctor there. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: This place will refuse treatment. We had an appointment where I would suffer panic attacks and only needed my husband holding my hand but they refused to allow this. When we advised them we had told all the staff about our needs we were told it would be alright. The Manager on the day was rude and kicked us out of the building. Health ombudsman is investigating.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Never go to the Helensvale Practice. The African woman (Oby EMECHETE) is the wife of the owner and displays a significant level of rudeness and disrespect. On Saturday 1 June 2019 she personally refused treatment and ordered us to leave simply because I wanted my husband to hold my hand during a procedure (injection). Qld. Health Ombudsmen are investigating them.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, its all about getting in for a really quick scan. Terribly rushed and rude Dr. First lady that took me in started to ask questions and symptoms and the doctor barged in and just took over without as much as a hello. No questions. 2 minutes and I was out and the next patient in. Don't go here, if you have a form for this place, go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I went here for a mammogram and ultrasound this morning. Horrible experience. The woman doing the mammogram pulled and tugged on my breasts so roughly ive been left with splits under my breasts. Then i have the ultrasound and he notices one of the cuts and tells me and i say yeah from the mammogram and he says no way. I only noticed the full extent when i got changed as the gel he had put on was stinging. I left quite upset and when i called to complain i was told that it couldnt possibly have happened there lol i was gobsmacked. Where else would i get splits under my breasts? Ill never go back and ill be telling my Dr about it too. Disgraceful.

Fantastic experience: As a rule, I don't write reviews on my first visit anywhere. Same here. I had a number of scans CTs, ultrasound and X ray done at Iris Radiology Helensvale. I can't praise the staff enough. Courteous, professional and always very accommodating. The waiting time is very acceptable considering that no appointment is required. The radiologist is very good when reading the scans- according to my doctor. So to all you racist people out there who are bad mouthing Iris at Helensvale, get a hold of your mouth and be greatful for Iris Radiology. If it wasn't for places like Iris, we would be paying a lot for our scans to other radiology places.

Fantastic experience: I read all the reviews and I was a bit worried but I went to helensvale for my pregnancy dating scan yesterday and I dont get what all the bad reviews were about everything was great for me! The staff were nice, the scan was bulk billed, I only waited about 15 minutes and they gave me a cd of the scan without having to ask for one. I went to a different place with my last pregnancy had to pay and they never gave me anything!. My partner also came with me and they didnt say anything about him coming into the room with me. Thanks for the good scan iris imaging!

Positive experience: Helpful staff. They don't take appointments but you can call ahead and see how busy they are if you are nearby

Positive experience: I was having a scan on my foot , then a doctor came in and told me to move to a position , I did not under stand his pigeon language , and didnt do as he apparently asked , then he said abruptly , i will leave through the door if you wont do as I say ,, well ! I didn't understand what he wanted ,, I went to school and learned ENGLISH with many hits across the knuckles , If they want to come here , LEARN HOW TO SPEAK CLEARLY ,absolutely shocked ... otherwise well serviced lavatory. thanks
