From our very first scan to our last we felt comfortable, excited & at ease. We were guided by the whole team who helped answer our many questions & fitted our scans in last minute. Negative experience: My mother had a very upsetting experience at this clinic. From the beginning, she was treated poorly — it felt like she was looked down on because she had a pensioner card and is older. They pushed for additional scans that didn’t seem necessary, which felt more like a money grab than genuine care. To make things worse, when my mother struggled to communicate in English, one of the staff members actually laughed at her. Completely unacceptable behaviour. We won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — especially not to elderly or vulnerable patients.

Since my first review I have been back again for a whole body MRI last year and again this year. This is the best thing I’ve done to insure that I keep my health on track for an early diagnosis. I’ve tried everything to get rid of the pain but nothing worked. So decided to go back to Mermaid Beach Radiology for help. And help I found. Dr Zane suggested to have a PRP injection in my back. I’ve got it done. All the pain has gone and I feel healthy and well again.I forgot to mention that for all my visits to the clinic I have traveled from Sydney. There is nothing like this clinic even in Sydney. So to Mermaid Beach Radiology, doctor and staff a big thank you for the support and understanding that you gave me. Fantastic experience: Coming from out of town over 600km away, walking into Mermaid Beach Radiology had a lovely feel and the staff behind the counter were welcoming and amazing. Kudos to her - she strikes just the right balance of friendly and warm with professional. She is easy to talk to and understands that our reasons for being there might be making us nervous and really knows how to put me at ease. You have a good one there - hold onto her! Easy to understand how they minimise radiation exposure when I was in the machine for such a short time compared to a PET scan. I was so impressed that they could access my portacath as well which makes it much more pleasant. I will be flying up to the Gold Coast just to get my scans done here!

Fantastic experience: I got the referral to MBR yesterday morning, was able to get an appointment the same day, which was fantastic. When I arrived, after completing the necessary paperwork, I was seen very promptly. The person who took my scans (Alex) was welcoming, friendly and gave clear information and instructions. I was in and out within 10 mins. Later in the evening, I received the information about how I could view my scans myself. An excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Wow . I couldn’t believe this was a radiology centre. I felt like I was checking into a lovely holiday resort. The first thing I noticed was the wall of plants. It was so beautiful and it immediately took away some of my anxiety . Not to mention the gorgeous coffee machine setup. I’ve never seen anything like it. The decor was incredible. There was even a cute area for children with a movie projector screen and toy dolphins lined up . The staff were so friendly and professional. I highly recommend mermaid beach radiology.

Fantastic experience: The Mermaid Beach Radiology staff were responsive, accommodating and so helpful from first contact to arrival on the day. I drove from Brisbane to their location and I’m so glad I did, the clinic is welcoming, well designed and I was seen too with in minutes of arriving by the medical staff who did my cannula and scan. Everything was seamless which made me feel very comfortable during what can be a daunting process at times. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Zane Sherif who was not only excellent in his diagnosis but extremely kind & caring when it came to my frozen shoulder pain. I have not experienced any more symptoms since his treatment & care. And have regained use of my shoulder completely. Fantastic experience: A few months ago my GP Dr. James Powers referred me to Mermaid Beach Radiology to have a CT Scan on my lungs due to my age and the fact that I was a smoker. When the CT Scan was done the Radiologist decided to do my whole torso - my lungs were perfect but an abnormality was discovered on my left kidney which led to being referred to Urologist Dr Martin Elmes who when looking at the scans told me I needed to have my left kidney removed. My kidney and the attached tumor turned out to be cancerous but due to being detected early it hadn't spread to any other organs. I am so grateful that Mermaid Beach Radiology decided not to do just my lungs as had been requested - if not the cancer may have spread throughout my body. Plus all the staff were so nice and friendly - would recommend them to anyone needing to have a CT Scan or other tests

Today not so much, when I went to pay the price was different from what I had been quoted and last time - wasn't much but when I question the receptionist she was dismissive and told me I was wrong and just put the eftpos machine in front of me, no explanation.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had to visit for a brain MRI due to my brain tumor and have been back since. The entire staff is fantastic, and I’ve felt well taken care of each time. Ben, the radiologist, has been especially compassionate and understanding of my claustrophobia, which made the process so much easier. The imaging is top-notch, and although I’m not big on the decor, the calming environment definitely helps create a positive experience.
