Nu Beauty Therapy

Positive experience: i did a couple treatments before, and it was very good service , but i month ago i paid for a FRF which was done in 40 or 45 min, pretty comfortable and i have a moisturise mask at the end, yesterday i did my second session which lasted about 15 min (a bit more paintful) and don’t know why i ending with a burn in my face, not a good thing , if you have an appointment please respect the time that people are paying for, not gonna come back, thanks

I was very worried at the beginning and how it’s going to turn out with my hyperpigmentation issues, but SHR kinda helped not only to remove the hair but with the hyper pigmentation and ingrown hair. Fantastic experience: After waxing for years I have now almost finished my SHR journey at Nu Beauty with Rach. This treatment has been amazing for my PCOS hair growth and has also reduced any ingrown hair/uneven skin texture. I have tried IPL and laser in the past at other clinics but find the SHR treatments the best as they are pain free, super quick and effective. Definitely recommend for an easy pain free permanent hair removal option.

Negative experience: Well people here say Rachel is a professional, if it is so I don’t why she treated me like that. Maybe she has a problem with women like me. Prior to this I had been dealing with one of the girls there who was nice, she was the one recommended me peeling and even booked one for me. But when I went there the girl had called in sick and Rachel was filling in for her which I was fine about. But she was not nice to me from the beginning. When I said I was there for peeling , she was repeatedly saying “BECAUSE YOU DONT USE OUR PRODUCTS I CANNOT DO THAT FOR YOU “ . now I understand that if I am not using a certain product my skin won’t be ready for a certain treatment. But then why did the other girl did not have any issue when she booked me in for that. And even if the other girl had made a mistake Rachel could have been more polite in saying that. She was speaking in a way that I deserve a punishment for not using her products. All she had to do was to tell me the product I have to use , she can do some little advertising on her products, but repeatedly saying “because you’re not using our products blah blah” was rude. C’mon not only your products have vitamin A. Also i had booked in for two treatments and she finished both of them in less than 30min. According to the website they should long at least 45min . I think she was doing both the other girls and hers appointments so she couldn’t wait to finish. But that didn’t stop her from charging me full. Moreover she asked me to remove my necklace (but it’s a difficult one to remove by myself, I accept it’s partly my fault). But I have Been having facial treatments for more than a decade, and they all did the treatment on the neck too despite having a necklace on. Rachel didn’t tell me in the beginning that she wouldn’t do the neck because of the necklace, and when I realized that she is not gonna do the neck I pointed that out, I said she can do the neck even while having the necklace on. She just pretended she didn’t hear me. I mean it was a thin necklace, if it’s that bothersome she could have avoided that area and do the rest of the neck. She didn’t touch below my chin. Like I said she just wanted to get it over with and get my money. Still I would have gone there booking in with another girl but after I came home I did some research and learnt Rachel was the owner. So I would never step in there. Just because you feel like someone is inexperienced in something you cannot treat them different. People might not be experienced in facial treatments but they are not stupid. If you think they will pay you no matter what without questioning you’re highly mistaken.

Positive experience: I regularly go to nu beauty. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. They take pride in their work and take care in ensuring you are happy before leaving. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Went there maybe 8 or 9 times for laser hair removal with Rachel, the owner, in 2020-2021. I never said anything however now that i think about it the service was quite bad. Rachel was consistently 5-10 minutes late every session, most of the time coming back from the supermarket with groceries. She would often leave during the treatment to answer the phone or chat with another client. On my last treatment Rachel was about 30 mins late when another woman who worked there said unfortunately Rachel cant make it today, is it ok if i do your treatment today? I said it was ok and continued as usual. Firstly she tried to squirt the gel onto the popsicle sticks they use for waxing which should've been the first red flag. She then spilt all of the gel on the floor obviously after trying to put it on a waxing stick. She then proceeded with the machine by mumbling "now how do i use this thing" following the instructions off of a printed out step by step manual. She then asked me what level does rachel usually use which i replied i don't know. She asked how many treatments i had which then she based the settings on, she used level 8, which later googled is for dark skinned people, i am quite pale with pale hair. During the treatment i mentioned that the machine was a lot warmer than usual, uncomfortable. She told me that means its working after the treatment was finished i went home and i had red burns all over the area. Later that week i had two blisters on the area which have since left permanent scars. I never reached out to the salon because I find Rachel a generally intimidating person that wouldn't care either way. Anyways i guess what im trying to say is if its too hot say something so you dont get injured or permanently scarred like me.

Fantastic experience: Booked an appointment at Nu Beauty for a microdermabrasion with no clear expectations but to treat myself. I am astounded by the outcome. I have an acne prone dry/oily combination skin with moderate post-acne pigmentation. The combination of microdermabrasion and products recommended by the ladies has lightened my scarring in just less than a week! Will be back!

Negative experience: Overrated, the girls are to busy gossiping instead of doing their jobs. They gossip at the expense of other clients and rude language is constantly being used. No such thing as confidentiality here.
