Absolutely Fabulous Makeovers Hair & Beauty

Negative experience: Took 4 attempts to book first appointment. Was confirmed, yet When I turned up, she was out somewhere & had to reschedule. Did that. I Turned up, she was out shopping, had to wait 20 mins. I was then charged $100 as underarms & Bikini are both 2 areas each?,!!?? ‍♀️ ok. I paid, or couldn't book next appointment. Booked next 2. Confirm 2nd appointment, I turn up. Locked up, no one there. I've driven 40 mins to get here each time. Excuse, oh I thought you were coming Friday! She confirmed Tuesday! Oh ... um.. there were workman in the street making noise. No call or text to me though. Not much goin on when I turned up. 3x now driven 40 mins each way. Had one appointment, laser seemed to be moved to fast, she seemed airy fairy & on another planet! I asked for a refund, it was refused. Never again. Dunno how this lady is in business. Unless it's a drug swap place! ‍♀️ Dunno, but don't waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, HIGHEST QUALITY and enjoyable service!! I have been getting my micro needling and facials done here for years by owner Dianne! She is an absolutely amazing beautician and a lovely person too and so is all her other staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

Negative experience: Filthy! Absolutely disgusting! Sink was dirty everything needs to be gumshend. Towels very old and have holes in them. So many ladies and cant tidy up the salon ? I almost walked out, the lady was nice but treatment did nothing. No difference. I did teeth whitening, which was from groupon cheap, but still. Do not recommend!

Negative experience: This is a really hard review to write because half of my service was amazing (Hair styling) the other half (make up & eye lashes) was the worst I've ever had and I have about 15 done every year due to events. My eye lashes started to peel as soon as I got into my car, I had more brown eye shadow powder next to my eye then i did on my eyelid, the foundation coverage was barely enough and the lipstick line was so far out I looked silly. My 14yr old daughter who has no formal qualifications can do better. I will say though, the owner was a really lovely person and went out of her way to accommodate my time request and even brought her daughter in to do my hair who was also really lovely and she did an amazing job.

Negative experience: I used this business for teeth whitening and I use the term loosely. I took before photo at home and after is completely NO different. The place was dirty and the bed towels looked months old with stains. OMG it was awful I would never go back not even for free, I’m horrified!

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with my experience as laser was quick, painless and I am hair free. I was well informed, felt comfortable and all questions were answered. My daughters have since used this salon and both are happy as well.

Negative experience: I walked in and had to wait 15 minutes for the owner to finish doing her nails. Once she finished she told me that arm pits are considered as two areas and Brazilian is 3 areas, the room was filthy and there were towels everywhere. Nothing was clean. There was loud opera music playing the whole time and definitely would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Tucked away in plain sight overlooking the Broadwater is this gem. All the usual treatments but done in a more professional and practical way for the thinking woman who is curious about the latest technologies and how she can take them into her Beauty Care Go To. I have had a deluxe facial today and don’t feel as though I have not been sold to or marketed to. My skin was glowing after the microdermabrasion treatment with no down time as followerd by a collagen hydrating & calming mask & LED light , serums massaged in to top off , I just feel Absolutely Fabulous! And now I have discovered I can have my pigmentation treated by IPL I’m be back.

Fantastic experience: Always loved my facials with Dee with a passion. I'm super fussy I like to go in and say rip my face off and give me a new one So I go for glycolic and the red laser . Omg I leave and my skin is all brand new .. they make me great again and have for over 8 years. Spray tan best I've had out of all of them ever best of the best .,

Negative experience: Not very impressed at all with the service my partner received from absolutely fabulous. She booked an appointment weeks in advance, she left work an hour early to get there in a taxi and as she got out of the taxi she phoned Diane to say she will be there in 1 minute....and was very rudely told that herr appointment had been cancelled as Diane (owner I pressume) had a personal appointment to go to instead. My partner explained that there would be no other time she would be able to come, and had already lost an hours work and paid for a taxi to get there. Diane's response was "there's nothing I can do about that". She said she could get a student to do it for my partner instead but she must tip her "AT LEAST $15" ... This student turned up at the salon stressed and moaning that she had to come back. The place was filthy and smelly, the rooms were not made up, the student had her boyfriend and his mate come into the salon having a social chat rather than looking after their client. And after over an hour and 20 mins which should have been 45 mins... the results were barely noticeable. Will never return. Terrible service and results.

Negative experience: A lady called me 10 minutes before my 12:30pm appointment saying they need to reschedule as she can't get hold of her massage therapist because she's "probably at the beach". They never called me back to reschedule. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Young Sam spoilt me with a fantastic microdermabrasion today. This young lady believes "If a jobs worth doing its worth doing well". She certainly does that!!! Dee the owner is also so kind and helpful. I highly recommend going and having a chat and seeing what suits you and your skin.
