Harlow Day Spa

Negative experience: I had a shellac manicure and this was the result. The experience and Ivy were lovely but the end result of an 80 dollar manicure I’m not happy about. I have emailed the spa and sent pictures and have requested a refund. I’m visiting from CAnada so cannot go back to get it fixed. UPDATE: I have been in touch with the spa and they have refunded 50% of the cost. I’m happy with that.

Negative experience: I'm not sure I can even call what I received a massage. The experience was far from relaxing — the masseuse applied uncomfortable pressure with their elbows on seemingly random areas, and at one point ran their fingers along my spine in a way that felt odd and unsettling. They also used oil or hot rocks that were far too hot, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable rather than soothing. I've had several massages before, but never one that left me feeling this level of discomfort. I specifically requested a focus on my shoulders, but very little time or effort was spent there. For $125 and an hour of my time, it was a disappointing experience and definitely not worth the price. The ladies were very nice, and they did serve nice tea after and before our appointment however that was the only highlight of the appointment. Definitely not worth the price.

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed my treatments and the staff were so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back again and would recommend them to anyone!

Negative experience: The worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with the owner of a business. I got an eyebrow wax and tint which resulted in an uneven wax and tint all over the skin. The actual experience was quite good and the therapist did a good job creating a comfortable environment it is only the results I am disappointed with. When I reached out to the owner she agreed with me that they were not great. We came to the conclusion that I deserved a refund as I did not feel comfortable going back to her salon for credit. She then provided me a $15 refund out of the $60 service that I had paid, and i have been left in the dark about the rest of my money. Absolutely disgraceful as this is a seemingly respectable business in the area. I will not be coming back, Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Huge thanks to Dani for her help with my dad. My dad had his first ever facial treatment. He doesn’t speak English and Dani was very nice and understanding about all my dad’s needs. He is super happy with the results! Also, we purchased a few things and she gave us good deals. Really appreciate it!

Fantastic experience: Let me start off with when i walked into the spa i was greeted with a soothing herbal tea and light refreshments. I then was walked into the calming room where it smelt so relaxing the aroma was so calming. Natarsha made me feel so comfortable and at ease and asked what tension and stress was on my mind and was very helpful in making me feel heard (who needs a therapist when you have her).. We then got set up for my session where I was then sent to another dimension. I could really connect with my own inner self and all the stress and tension left my body. Once done I slowly came back to myself and felt so safe as if I was wrapped in a coo coon. Natarsha gave me more herbal tea and refreshments to have whilst coming back to reality. It took me a bit to wake up completely as my body had just went through an amazing therapy session to clear out all my negative thoughts and feelings. I was then sat down with natarsha woth some beautiful self affirmations. I felt so much weight lifted whilst walking to my car. I have already made myself another session moving forward. If you or anyone else you know has alot of stress or negative energy nartasha is your lady to definitely make you walk out those doors feeling supported and positive ✨️

Negative experience: I will say that the staff were nice but the end result was not very good.when paying over $400 you should have no complaints or need to go back and have it fixed. Both my daughter and I had eyebrow and lash tint and lamination as well as eyebrow and lip wax. The tint did not cover the whole eyebrow and the laminate on eyebrows hasn’t taken. The shaping of eyebrows was really uneven with stray hairs. Unfortunately won’t be back and it is a shame cause I like to support local street venues

Fantastic experience: I had a massage done by Tracey. It was the best massage I have ever had. It was exactly what I needed (destress) and I left there feeling so relaxed. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My partner and I went here for a couples massage and I have to say it was an amazing experience. We got the Relaxation Massage package for an hour. The team was super friendly and the experience was fantastic and super relaxing. The only regret is we wish we wished that we had picked the 1.5 hour package instead of the 1 hour package because it was that good. Would recommend and will definitely be coming here again

Fantastic experience: Loved every minute of my treatment today I've been coming to Harlow Day Spa for a few years now. I've got all different treatments from microdermabrasions, skin needling , red light therapy , massages & waxing. Everytime I have left the day spa, I felt good about myself & the ladies have always been very welcoming, nice & attentive. I changed to there skin care products (Medik8) have use for the last 18months, really love the product, skin always looking/feeling great. Thankyou ladies

Fantastic experience: The staff at Harlow Day Spa are incredibly knowledgeable and have helped me with all my skin concerns. I requested a facial to exfoliate, treat and hydrate my skin. The therapist changed up the menu for me and used the correct products for my skin as she checked using the woods lamp to see what my skin actually needed during the consultation process. I had the most amazing facial with the right amount of pressure which almost put me to sleep. Which I cannot tell you how much I needed that! During the facial they explained what they were doing and why they were using those products and the benefits it would have to help correct my hormonal acne. Afterwards my therapist wrote me up a skin routine for AM & PM for the products that she actually used. My skin felt so soft and hydrated that I decided to purchase all the skin care that was recommended. I’ve been using it for a week now and can definitely say the products that Harlow day spa sells and the incredible knowledge of my therapist has helped me achieve dewy, plump skin in only a week. My hormonal acne doesn’t look so aggressive. I cannot wait to continue my skin journey with them and continue to use these products. Would 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: Natarsha is a gifted clinician. Massage, facials and body treatments are intuitively given with much love, attention and natural products. Decadent spa experience giving deep relaxation, disconnection from daily stresses and reconnection with self. Highly recommend this self care experience.

Negative experience: I received a voucher for a specific treatment. I called 3 weeks after to make a booking only to be told that service was no longer available. I booked an alternative treatment, a little disappointed but looking forward it regardless. The owner said she would do my service, like it was a big deal. On the day of my appointment, I received a phone call to confirm my appointment, I had called 3 times , left voice messages and sent an image of the voucher, no one had followed up. Minutes before I was due for my appointment, the owner called and informed me she could no longer do my appointment. I was annoyed, free time is a luxury for me. She was rude , did not apologise and reluctantly booked me in half an hour after my initial booking , that was fine. I waited at the front of the store in the freezing cold for a further 20mins. A young staff member informed me she was doing my facial and the owner was not returning to work. The facial was products I have at home, and the extras that were not mentioned as an upsell. The owner was completely unprofessional, rude and the treatment was cheap. $260 for the worst salon experience, zero stars !

Negative experience: I would not recommend this salon at all I paid $240 for the worst facial and pedicure I have had in years I can not even give this a star I provided feedback on to them when requested and thought they might have been in contact but no not a word. I have never given a review but was do disappointed in the service. I could have done the facial at home and it would have been more relaxing I am new to the area and would have loved to have a local beautician to go to regularly but will give this business a wide berth. I actually did not even want to give it 1 star but I will because the first beautician was lovely

Negative experience: Would not recommend - incredibly difficult to make a booking with gift cards I had received. When finally able to book, I receive texts to pay half of the treatment price which will be refunded when I get to my appointment to confirm the booking. After calling the salon back to confirm on my behalf, I was only then told you can only use ONE gift card at a time and it’s impossible to pay for my full treatment with gift cards. With $250+ of gift cards, with this stated no where on the cards themselves I find this incredibly difficult to believe. I also struggle to understand why this would be an issue considering the Spa has already received the money for the gift cards - it’s not as if they are out of pocket. Incredibly unprofessional staff and policies

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND - Not worth your time or money. Treatment was terrible and not what I asked for. Not to mention an additional $24.95 Saturday SURCHARGE. The receptionist I spoke with to make my appointment was really lovely and made a recommendation to meet my needs. I went in with a quote and and expectation of a relaxing facial, hot oil hair treatment with a head, neck & massage. (I requested the need for a massage and facial). I went in and was greeted by the same receptionist who was lovely, the Therapist was trying to change what I was getting. The receptionist had to show her the notes she had written. I got into the room, the light was shining right in my face the entire Treatment, the music was so loud she couldn't hear me to say I was ready for her to enter the room. The Therapist talked the entire time & what was worse was the massage I was in desperate need of was a 5 minute quick massage (definitely NOT what I asked for or was expecting). Then to top it off I had to pay an additional $24.95 Saturday surcharge on top of what I was quoted. So not only did I have to pay $165 for the worst Treatment ever, (facial and massage). They charged me EXTRA.... I called to complain and was expecting a call back from the owner. However, instead I received a call back from the young Therapist who did my treatment apologising. It took alot of courage for a young girl to do that and I commended her for that and really appreciated, that she wanted to make the call. However the therapist then tells me the owner asked me to pass on that she will do my next service (thinking it was for Free) with a 15% Discount. Totally appalling when it was not only a horrible experience, I walked out without feeling any better at all. I definitely did not feel like I received any treatment at all. My skin had no change in it what so ever (I've received many facial treatments in my time) and the massage, well that was disgusting considering I needed the massage. Honestly, I would NOT RECOMMEND, especially with that kind of response from the owner that she passed on. Not worth the time or money. Extremely unprofessional and clearly don't care about clients walking out unhappy.

Negative experience: Highly do NOT recommend. They leave an apprentice by herself in the salon with no supervisor whilst doing treatments. When the service I paid $125 for didn’t work, I contacted them by texting them - no response. I then emailed them and got a response “she was just an apprentice keep that in mind” I HAD NO IDEA SHE WAS WHILST BOOKING. I then emailed another 3 times asking for something to be done about it and got nothing back.

Polish package, (my favourite) teeth whitening, Balinese foot soak, pedicure, collagen led calming facial. Recommend you book yourself in as soon as possible. I feel like a new person. Negative experience: Was booked in for a massage and the therapist didn’t show up for it. I was 5 mins early and waited 20 mins but still hadn’t been properly served. Non of the therapists could get in contact with her and I didn’t want to wait any longer. Worst experience and not good vibes. Very unprofessional and the girls don’t look professional at all.

Negative experience: Worst spa experience I’ve ever had! I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed. I purchased a couples package that included a foot spa which was performed while laying on the massage table, which was already an uncomfortable position. When my feet were removed from the bucket of water the girl started laughing at my feet! So unprofessional !! The girl was also sick and was sniffling the whole time which made it very uncomfortable to relax without feeling like I was going to also get sick.

Negative experience: Terrible experience at Harlow day spa. I went to get my eyebrows waxed before my wedding.. I said that I liked them thicker. The beautician went ahead and waxed them incredibly thin.. did not pluck any extra hairs away and it looked horrendous. It’s so disappointing that just before my wedding I have no eyebrows!! Also left wax all on my eyebrow that was incredibly difficult to get off. If your going to charge 40 dollars for an eye brow wax it needs to be much better than that..

Negative experience: Booked a week before for an appointment and double checked the time 1 hour before over the phone. Waited 15mins in the Spa before they realised my booking was not on their list. Took them a further 5mins to let me know they definitely couldn't fit me in. They did offer to rebook later and discount it but that is really tricky with a baby in toe, to time right. A lovely client offered me her spot but by then my baby was awake and a restless bub is not ideal in that situation. Looks like it's bushy covid lockdown eyebrows a bit longer for me..

Fantastic experience: After trying a few salons in the area I have finally found one I love in Harlow Day Spa. Not only are the staff friendly, the facilities and practices hygienic but the quality of service is the the best in the area. I can't wait to book in again for some pampering.

Negative experience: Not happy!! had to pay as my voucher ended up not being negotiable after the treatment. Was asked half way through treatment about my voucher when I told her she said I'm not sure its valid here but kept on with the treatment i ended up having to pay for everything. In the terms and conditions it mentions you have to quote voucher numbers before booking appointments nothing was mentioned.
