Fantastic experience: Im a 61 year old male. We stopped in Griffith for a sleepover after visiting Lake Mungo. I saw the barbershop and thought its time for a cut. I have long but very fine hair. I walked in and the music was pumping and there were a queue of six guys before me and both barber chairs were occupied. Then you know youre at the right place. The young guns before me all asked for styles and fades and stuff i know very little about. I started to think they might find it difficult to cut soft long baby hair like mine. Upon my turn i got in the hot seat and gave a vague description of what i want. Luckily the guy ignored me and cut me the coolest short ish style! Im super happy and a nice vibe with nice people. I can now go back to my homeland South Africa sporting a very cool Griffith hairstyle. Reminder for long hair people. It was 37 degrees today. Go cut your hair at this joint and feel cool and cool!!! Fantastic experience: I, on the advice of my best mate convinced me (finally) to try a Barber Shop call MANCAVE in Central. She and her hubby know the owner and she praised the owner and his staff. So today I went in, just to find out how expensive (how long I'd need to save) a full on short back and side - layered would cost. I nearly cried with joy at their unbelievable reasonable prices that I couldn't hobble to the chair fast enough. My barber today was Kevin, and he handled my (nightmare hair - 3 x crowns and 2 x cowlicks that do not behave well when trimmed), Kevin (I feel) could tell I was nervous, and he made me feel so comfortable, he was genuinely nice, yet still very professional. THANK YOU KEVIN THANK YOU MANCAVE/Central. And to all the other Shelias out there - if you are sick of being ripped off, and like your hair cut/trimmed by not only professional staff, but also take 100% pride in their work - get your butts into MANCAVE / Central. I promise you will NOT regret it! Cheers Danii! CONTEXT: I had given up trying to find a hairdresser that didn't: 1.charge rip-off prices - average of $20-$30 (for approx 2yrs because I always came in with my hair already washed and conditioned and afterwards no styling at all), for a less then 10mins in the chair. The suddenly, one day I get to the counter and was told "that will be $70 please", I refused to pay it as that was more then double the price with NO warning prior to sitting in the chair... 2. nor were more interest in their phones or even worse; gossiping with the client in their chair - way too loudly! I went through EVERY hairdressing salon before I just gave up and left my hair to grow out and gave myself a wee tidy up every now and again, and my hair lived in a pony tail for the last several years. OK..... shutting up now

He took the time to make my hair look perfect, all line work done is straighter than a ruler. I’ve had many haircuts in my life by a lot of different barbers in different states my man right here is a king of his craft..

Negative experience: My son asked for a mid fade and showed the guy a pic of what it looked like. He walked out with a military style cut. They have no idea about fade or anything else even when shown a picture. Lesson learnt for my son as a positive. No fade at all. Avoid if you want this.

Negative experience: My Husband went in with a head full of curls and asked to leave the back shortened up the top and sides only. They say the difference between a good and bad haircut is 7days, well it took my husband 12mths to grow what your inexperienced, hoodie puffer jacket wearing barber took minutes to cut off, and not evenly might I say...Pathetic wouldn't take my dog there....

Fantastic experience: Perfect

Negative experience: I came in today and asked for a mid skin fade and a centimetre off the top. The barber then proceeded to go to town on my head like he was mowing the lawn. absolutely zero fade, took so much off the top and left me not wanting to go out without a hat on. The barber I had was so rough and had zero care for me or his craft.

Fantastic experience: I take my 5 & 3 year olds to Yambil St & Central. The 3yr old always has a tantrum when having his haircut and they accommodate us so well everytime. Nothing phases them which is great. They also rocked my newborn back to sleep while I sat with my 3yr old to have his haircut. I really really appreciate the service and help at a time that can be stressful and chaotic for me. Great job guys!

Negative experience: Worst barber shop i ever seen.. kept main door closed at 4:30 pm.. there was loud music playing inside but no one cares to open the door or if it busy at least put a sign closed. This happen consecutive two days in a row. I should find another barber shop in town..

Fantastic experience: If you're complaining about wait times then you know it's a good barber. Top quality couches where you wait, great variety of tunes, professional staff and a competitively priced trim. I've seen Tristan giving a trom to a squirmy toddler. So professional, happy to take time and careful with the kid. If someone can send a toddler off without crying then they can cut my hair. You won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: Barbers are just too chill. If you have a lot of time to wait, you can go to their shop but I wouldn’t recommend because they just talk too much. Customers are waiting in the chair for their haircut and they’re just chatting non sense, will do their phone browsing, will do their hairstyle & beard ( talking about the barber) while their customer is waiting for their haircut in their chairs. You show them a picture and explain how you want your haircut to be, they’ll do it the way they want to do it (especially the short one). I am personally not happy with their customer service!! You can check them yourself though It’s just my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: Best haircut I’ve had! Tricky for me because of my crowns and style but my Hair dresser nailEd it, was extremely confident and skilled. I can’t put forward his name because I forgot to ask but if this is the kind of hairdresser your looking for go in and ask about the Frenchman! Was so happy with the cut I tipped him 33%! Keep up the great work champion. Highly recommend the Frenchman but also the crew were amazing there and I’d be happy to trust them all to do the same high quality work!

Negative experience: Walked in with my 11 year old son and asked for a really basic inconspicuous hair tattoo. An image was provided to the barber. The barber agreed. Without consultation my son went between three barbers and ended up with something so much bigger and different to the picture I'd provided. After holding back my anger and frustration (made significantly worse by the foul language and explicit images blaring from the TV screen) I was stung with a $70 fee. Hair cut aside, how is it ok to air these video clips in the presence of young kids?!! Just quietly, it's not!!!
