The issues my wisdom teeth were causing could no longer be ignored, so I went to Dr Helen seeking treatment. I was a huge ball of nerves but Dr Helen’s calm, methodical and pragmatic approach immediately put me at ease. She is an excellent dentist, very professional and truly experienced without all the frills, bells and whistles. It was great that I could get general anaesthetic in her clinic and I didn’t have to get referred elsewhere. I got through my procedure with minimal pain and swelling. Thank you Dr Helen, I am looking forward to my six-monthly check-ups with you.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! Dr Helen was recommended by not one but 2 friends, who drive down all the way from the northern suburbs to see Dr Helen! She is the nicest doctor I’ve ever met, very gentle, and gives very clear explanations on the exam and the treatment. You don’t feel pressured on anything (which can be the case in some other clinics).

Fantastic experience: Having a fear of dentists for over 30 years i decided to go to Dr Helen to fix my teeth which were broken, gapped just ugly. Dr Helen was patient, empathic, and completely transparent at every appointment. Over many sessions my fear started to disappear. To say im happy with my new smile is an understatement. Fantastic experience: For 20 years I had outstanding dental care because my cousin was a dentist. Unfortunately she retired and I started to look for someone to take good care of my teeth. For next 10 years I was bouncing between various recommended dentists only to be disappointed. Finally friend of mine recommended Dr Helen and right from the first initial consultation I knew I found what I was looking for. Subsequent visits proven my initial impression. What impressed me most is that Dr Helen does what is necessary but at the same time refuses to do what is not required from good dental health perspective. Dr Helen professional integrity is second to none in my experience and that’s why I stay with Dr Helen until I expire or she retire. I’m twice her age so I’m sure she has been appointed my dentist for life:)

Fantastic experience: From the initial consultation to the last appointment, nothing but excellent service and first quality professionalism shown by Dr Helen and staff at her Dental studio. I had a complete upper and lower dental implants and now I have a great looking as well as fantastic use Set of teeth. It has been a long process, however, Dr Helen has always been very meticulous in her work, her attention to details was impressive, and I am very grateful. I was considering to do this implants overseas where they said it would be just a fraction of the cost, however I am really glad I stayed in Melbourne and chose Dr Helen’s studio. It might be initially be cheaper to have done it overseas, however the whole process would have not been possible to be completed in a short stay overseas which means multiple travels and hassles. Fantastic experience: WOW! I cannot recommend Dr Helen highly enough. I was trying to find a dental clinic to assist which my dentist phobia and was looking for sleep dentistry. I was lucky enough to find Dr Helen Clinic on google and made an appointment. Firstly, her clinic is like a home. She is the only dentist who works within this building, so you are not bombarded with sounds of drills etc when you walk in. Secondly, her fabulous receptionist Stephania is very kind and welcomes you with a lovely smile. The whole atmosphere is not your typical dentist so I was instantly impressed. I then met Dr Helen, who is extremely patient and kind. She listened carefully to my dental concerns as well as taking into consideration my fear. We had a gentle examination of my teeth and after a few scans, within 24-48 hours I was given a plan on how to assist with my dental concerns. I chose sleep dentistry due to my fear and it was worth every penny. The team involved are phenomenal and I woke up with no pain and temporary veneers. My smile had already improved. Dr Helen also showed me videos on how to properly brush my teeth and floss to ensure my gums can improve. After a few months, I had another appointment where I wasn't put to sleep and Dr Helen was extremely gentle in the deep clean and a perfectionist when it came to my front teeth. 9 months after seeing Dr Helen, my gums have stopped bleeding (they have bled for years due to gum disease), i have permenant crowns on my front teeth and I have never felt more confident in my smile. I am now booked in for 6 months time for a check up and for the first time in my life - I am not anxious at all. Dr Helen - thank you so much for your patience and gentle demeanour when addressing my dental needs. You have changed my life and help me conquer my fear. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have long suffered from dental anxiety, many times I have reached the front door of a dental practice and in a split second, vanished as fast as i could in the opposite direction. So, when my teeth began to crumble and I ran out of options, my wife and I began the process of finding a dentist to remedy the pain I felt every time I tried to chew my food. Dr. Helen was the second Dentist we saw and immediately the one that I felt most comfortable with; there was no pressure, her voice I found to be calming and soothing, there were no bright lights shining on me, all my options were explained to me, pricing, payment options, ways of payment reductions, etc. After months of consideration and many other visits to other Dentists, I'd made a decision and we came back to Helen full of confidence that she was definitely the one for me and that she would bring my smile and confidence back and take away all the pain, suffering and low self esteem that had built up over the past decade. Fantastic experience: Birds of a feather flock together. Dr Helen is really gentle when performing treatments and has excellent skill administering local anesthetic. First arrived here with multiple problems to be fixed, Helen is judgement free and offered me comprehensive treatment plan. Over the past 1.5 years I have done almost all procedures here (implant,RCT, fillings, wisdom teeth extraction) now start routine check and cleaning :) This would be my go to clinic for all dental problems if I don’t move back. As a vegan based in the U.S., I contacted Dr Helen all the way in Australia as her dentistry practice is the only one I could readily find which is a "Vegan" Dentistry Practice. It is clearly mentioned on her website that it is 'At the Ethical Forefront'. I was much impressed by her extraordinary attention to ALL vegan aspects where possible. She even offers treats such as vegan chocolates! I sent her an email and she responded quickly in detail. She on her own kindly offered to do a zoom session, and I then had an hour plus session to guide me in detail over my options in the U.S. I am relieved and so thankful that she is more than willing to spend time going forward as I may need.

Fantastic experience: MY IMPLANT JOURNEY I have decided to share my implant journey hoping to help others in the decision-making process on dental implants. We all have a different story but here is mine. I had tried to maintain my own teeth but was at a point where I had lost a few and had multiple that had been repaired. The day came when I was eating and heard the dreaded crunch!! A front visible tooth had broken and fell out. That sinking hollow feeling was instant. I decided to look into full mouth implants, but where do I start? Like most people Google. The gravity of this decision was overwhelming not only the financial but fear if not done right what then? All my teeth would have been removed. I needed to have confidence that I was going to have the best chance of a successful treatment. I decided for me a local dentist was the right choice. I felt I needed a personal approachable service. I came across Dr Helens website after looking into her training and experience I began reading her articles. It was evident to me that she cared for her patients and understood that everyone’s expectations and limitations were different. I booked a consultation to discuss my options and a treatment plan. Dr Helen was compassionate to my fear of the process and importantly listened to me explain the impact my tooth deterioration was having on my everyday life. After examination I was given treatment options. One key difference I noted was Dr Helens treatment plan included 2 sets of bridges. The 1st temporary bridges 3-5 days post-surgery, then 5 months later once my jaw had healed, I would receive another full set of bridges. Dr Helen was happy to discuss and answer any questions I had. I felt she understood the enormity of the decision and didn’t rush me in any way. The outcome of this initial consultation was: 1. Treatment options given 2. Advised scan was needed to address variables such as bone density. 3. Advised of possible complications and how these would be addressed. 4. Provided with estimation of costs and referral for scan. The procedure required a general anesthetic, fortunately this is done at Dr Helens practice. The anesthetist contacted me and provided all relevant information. On the day of surgery, it was reassuring to walk in and know my surroundings and everyone. It was the usual friendly greeting I had come to know from Dr Helen and her staff. Dr Helen made sure I was ok and again gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. I went home that night with medications and reassurance to contact the practice If I had any questions or concerns. Post surgery I was never in pain or discomfort. Five days later I returned to have my temporary bridges fitted. I now had a smile I had not had for many years. It affected everything. I was happy all the time. I had my confidence back. I think because my dental problems were a gradual decline, I knew it was impacting my wellbeing but had underestimated just how much. Five months later with my jaw healed and my implants fused it was time for my final bridges. 1st was a trial fitting giving Dr Helen and myself the opportunity to discuss and request any adjustments to the laboratory. Final fitting. My temporary bridges were removed, and the final bridges screwed in place. I didn’t think there could be much improvement. I was very happy with my temporary bridges however the fit was amazing. They feel like my natural teeth. Being at the end of this journey I now understand the importance of 2 sets of bridges. Yes, I was happy with my temporary bridges, but my final bridges fit and feel amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Helen for your dental needs. She is genuine, kind, compassionate, non-judgmental and very approachable. I feel I was given detailed honest information on available options for my dental needs and the opportunity to discuss and make informed decisions on my treatment. I am extremely grateful to Dr Helen.

Fantastic experience: I don't have a lot to add to the very positive reviews other than say my experience with Dr Helen has been excellent. This was for some complex work . The clinic is popular so an appt can take some time, though the staff have fitted me when an emergency occured.

Fantastic experience: I don't have the words to describe what a life changing experience having implants is. It's like being given a second chance in life. I lost all my teeth due to my fear of dentists. I would avoid going to a dentist until another tooth had to come out. Eventually I had almost none left. I tried to wear full dentures but I just couldn't eat with them as they rubbed and moved so much. I contemplated implants for so long but because of my fear, I just couldn't make the first step. When I met Dr Helen she put my mind at ease. She reassured me with honesty and explained what to expect. I felt comfortable and cared for. So I did go ahead with all on 4 implants. It wasn't easy but I don't regret my decision for a moment as I can now eat like I used to many years ago, and don't have to cover my mouth anymore. I can't say enough how well Dr Helen and her team looked after me. She is so approachable but professional. I had many questions and concerns and she made sure they were all attended too. She was available whenever I needed help, even after hours. I've been to many dentists in my life, and sadly I developed a phobia as a result, which was hard to shake, but this place is not like other dentists. Dr Helen really cares about her patients. You are not just a number. Unlike my previous experiences, she went well and truly out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. Her expertise and honesty paid off in the end as I followed her advice, and I couldn't be happier. I can't thank Dr Helen and her lovely team enough. My new smile has trully changed my life.

Fantastic experience: Recently I was on business travel from Washington D.C. to Melbourne attending the Australian International Air Show 2023. After a lot of research and back and forth emailing Dr. Helen and her staff, I decided to take a few days afterwards to have some dental work performed in their studio. Take it from me, it was well worth it. The receptionist Charlotte and Dr. Helen provided the most pleasant and professional experience ever. Faced with having to have a tooth extraction and filled with a pocket bone graph for future implant, Dr. Helen worked with my periodontist here in America to assess and provide a price quote for the procedure. As it turned out, it was a third of the price of what was quoted here in America, even with my dental insurance plan and personal cost of extending my trip a few days. (Stayed in a nearby cheap and cheerful hotel on St. Kilda beach which was lovely!) So to any local and international clients looking for top quality, professional dental work, I recommend Dr. Helen’s Dental & Implant Studio.

I had done a lot of research in hopes of finding someone that would be able to help me not only towards better dental health, but in working through my terrible anxieties. Dr Helen made me feel so comfortable, both listening to me and providing insight & suggestions on how she felt I would be able to achieve my desired dental outcomes. Including providing a breakdown of associated fees that would be upcoming. This gave me great confidence in knowledge. Sought a second opinion, all issues treated in 4 sessions at less than $3k. The second opinion dentist was also very aware of phobias, calm and patient, made me feel at ease throughout. At Dr Helen's there didn't seem to be a real understanding of dental phobias and I was also very uncomfortable with there being only the dentist in the room and no assistant. My new dentist said I was quoted for lots of unnecessary work such as replacing existing fillings. I read the initial reviews and assumed there was a understanding of dental phobias and anxiety. Not the case unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: I have a terrible phobia of the dentist and my teeth were in terrible shape. I hadn't been to the dentist in more than 10 years. I was very embarrassed and reluctant to go but Dr Helen and her team were so kind and not judgemental at all. They offered me oral sedation before each appointment for my phobia and Dr Helen was very gentle with me when I was in the chair. Everyone at the clinic contributed to my feeling safe and my teeth are in the best shape possible now. I highly recommend Dr Helen and will be getting regular treatment from now on. Fantastic experience: Dr Helen is a very competent and caring dentist. I have been to her for several procedures, the most recent a tooth extraction with a 40 year old root canal. She removed the tooth gently and I am healing nicely. I was also most impressed to receive a follow phone call from her to check how I was healing. I highly recommend her. Fantastic experience: Dear reader, not long ago I was sitting in a similar position and reading through hundreds and hundreds of dental reviews and every possible combination of the words “sleep” “dentistry” and “phobia”. After a few searches, I came across Helen’s website. Helens approach to write an open letter to her patients made me feel confident knowing this was a dentist who would go the extra mile and be understanding. After calling and hanging up (twice) as the receptionist answered (sorry), I finally worked up the courage to book in an appointment. I live in regional Victoria and travelled 3.5 hours for my consultation appointment. I stepped into the room and intense fear washed over me as I saw the dreaded chair. Helen was so kind and patient with me and made me feel very safe. On the way home I was walking on air because “i did it, I made it through the door!!”. 6 weeks later and I have just completed wisdom teeth removal and 15 years of neglected dental care. This was all completed under general anaesthetic and I can only say that I was completely cared for by the team. I cried with joy on the other side, for I had been brave enough to go through with it. Dr Helen checked in with me a few days later and I became teary on the phone and genuinely meant that words couldn’t express the confidence Dr Helen and the team had provided me. If you have made it this far, I would recommend ripping the bandaid and ringing the friendly team. The treatments are extremely affordable and there is truly no price on conquering that fear and moving forward with your best smile!
