Fantastic experience: I had such a lovely experience with Dr. Te Wai at Avant Garde! She was professional, kind and careful, explaining everything in a way that made it easy to understand. Her positive, calm energy made me feel really comfortable, and I left feeling well taken care. If you want a caring and honest dentist who’s going to look after you I can’t recommend Te Wai enough! Her Clinical Coordinator Carol was very caring as well and helped make the experience feel like you were in a safe pair of hands. Thank you ladies for looking after me! X

It's also the little things that make this place great - I've never been to a dentist before where they apply lip balm first, to make sure you don't get cracked or stretched lips.

Her expertise and care have not only saved one of my teeth from extraction but also provided us with invaluable advice on oral care. Fast efficient cleans, top-notch teeth whitening services, and the seamless transition from old metal fillings to modern ceramic ones have all been part of our positive experience. Even my kids, who usually shy away from dental appointments, feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Her comprehensive approach to dental care ensures that we always leave with bright smiles and full confidence in her work. And her office staff complements the experience with their friendly and helpful attitudes. They welcome you with warm smiles and ensure that everything runs smoothly. They are upfront about costing and helpful when it comes to arranging appointments to fit within a budget and timeline (for more major work). While I can't quite say that visiting Avante Guarde is delightful (because let's face it, it's still the dentist!), it's definitely a change from the norm. The combination of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care makes every visit as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be.

Fantastic experience: Staff and facilities are fantastic! I chose to switch to SBD after feeling like a number at my previous dental practice who never discussed plans, pricing, etc., I was basically going in blind not knowing how much this check up may cost! Dr Kimberly listened to these concerns, she then created a 12-month plan of which I'm half way through: check up/fillings, a mouth guard as she discovered I was clenching in my sleep which can crack your teeth from the inside (!!), filled the deep grooves as they can turn into cavities, whitened them and I've just had my left two wisdom teeth out in the chair with Dr Kimberly: no pain during or post-extraction, great follow-up care and minimal swelling - a great experience compared to other horror stories I was being told! Highly recommend, so pleased I took the plunge and changed dental practices to SBD!

Fantastic experience: Have been a patient with SBD since 2018. About as painless an experience for the 6-monthly check and cleans with both Kim and Kam. They are gentle with procedures, and continue to reinforce good dental hygiene practices between visits, in case my oral hygiene slipped vs the last check up. The admin Team (Ellie and prior staff) are also very helpful with confirming bookings and rescheduling when life happens!

She’s very professional and down to earth, caring and friendly, trustworthy, great to deal with. Fantastic experience: Simply the best dentist service I ever experienced... and I have seen a few!

Positive experience: Staff are professional, service offerings are comprehensive and clinic is well kept and clean. However, the genuine care for customer let them down and services are a bit on the expensive side. I was unhappy with my past few visits to SBD, I've had both dental and cosmetic injections. Services always seem to end up costing more then first appear or added (after the fact) without proper consultation/advice - which means it was already too late to decline. After my appointment, I questioned the costings and expressed my disappointment but not even the slightest effort was made resolve my query. I received a few blunt generic statement like responses. This really made me feel under-valued as a client and therefore turned it into a ‘money grab’ type situation. In the past, very rarely (if ever), have any of bi annual/annual visits to a dentist left me out of pocket! Be clear and ask questions before each and every visit to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim and her staff are awesome! I had a dental implant done, including some bone grafting and gum grafting. Dr. Kim was amazing through the whole process from explaining the procedure before hand, to helping me understand the expected costs, and to being very patient with me during each procedure. Further, my first procedure occurred just as we went into COVID lockdown with checkins a and another procedure throughout the months that followed. The protocols they have in place made me feel comfortable that I wasn’t being exposed to any additional risks. Thanks again! I’m very happy with my new tooth and the results!

Fantastic experience: Cannot speak highly enough about my experience at SBD! I had my eye on the place for awhile - the sign always stood out; sleek & modern. I booked in for the New Patient Experience and six weeks later had brand new bottom veneers to fix years of painful dental work that had slowly gone awry. It was something on the mind for ages and had avoided the dentist for years to delay making a decision. Kim & team put me at complete ease and I did not feel a thing. Her technician worked wonders to make individual veneers - I still can't believe these are my teeth! For years I had perfected concealing my bottom teeth and it's truly oh-so liberating to be able to talk and laugh freely. Thanks SOOOO much team SBD!!

Fantastic experience: Quite possibly the BEST DENTAL PRACTICE IN THE WORLD! I've always had a massive phobia with the Dentist. It stems from a bad experience sitting in the chair when I was a child. Although I have a temple of veneers to smile at you, extractions and fillings to molars were always a no no. The pain was easier to tolerate that the thought of sitting in the chair at the little shop of horrors... At SBD I had a crown and wisdom tooth extracted WITHOUT ANY PAIN!!! No little shop of horrors! AND no work for the sake of it... I will never go anywhere else. The practice is really welcoming, the service professional and calm, they don't rush, talking you through the procedure with charm, humour and grace, which was refreshing. I know where to get some Botox done when the time is right too!

Dr Ivett is the reason why I now go to the dentist again, I was told by a friend to go to her, still apprehensive I gave it a go. She is the BEST dentist I have ever been to....so gentle and makes you feel comfortable! She has taken all my old fillings out and replaced with beautiful white teeth and no pain or anxiety!!
