Fantastic experience: In November 2025, Dr Tsai performed a gum graft procedure on me under local anaesthesia administered by Dr Dong (the presenting issue was a tooth with significant root exposure). I am very happy with the results - while I had some general anxiety around proceeding with the procedure, Dr Tsai and his team were supportive throughout the process, addressed all questions, and provided clear after-care instructions, ensuring that the graft took up successfully and with no post-procedure complications. I highly recommend Dr Tsai and his team.

It has been over three years since I received gum specialist treatment and dental implants from Dr.Paul Tsai, and my gums have remained healthy ever since. Negative experience: By looking at the reviews, I decided to use their services. First thing was to get an appointment which took ages to materialise. Then the issue of seeing someone which resulted in $380 as the assessment charge which was quite exorbitant as compared to rest of the industry. I proceeded with this in the hope that these guys were good and will be reasonable in terms of their cost, but that is when I declined to proceed Because they were charging about $700 per per quadrant for the deep cleaning of teeth. This is not the kind of money anyone can afford especially if they don’t have health insurance coverage or Medicare coverage or indeed any other coverage. I was given some reduction by bringing the cost down to $500 per quadrant. Even then it was very expensive and far more expensive than rest of the industry. They are very courteous and very polite and perhaps do a good job but I don’t believe they need to charge as much for their services. I will recommend any potential customers to shop around.

Fantastic experience: Dr Fady Bassily is an exceptional Doctor. He is very thorough and takes the time to explain his treatment plan. His treatments are pain free and his sense of care for his patients is amazing, regardless of how complicated the treatment is.

My case was a bit more serious and the whole treatment took almost a year, but Dr. Tsai and his team made it such a smooth and stress-free experience. Fantastic experience: I have now had two rounds of treatment with Dr Tsai, the first about 14 months ago and the second about 2 months ago. Both have been very successful and on both occasions I have been impressed by Dr Tsai's compassion and obvious deep seated care for my comfort and wellbeing whilst in the chair and for the follow up to ensure all was well. None of this would be possible without his experience and training which he expertly applies. I still vividly remember the horror of coming to grips with what needed to be done, I don't think I could have gone ahead without his full explanation of the process and how any pain would be controlled. In the end I was not in any pain whilst in the chair, was only on painkillers for the first 24 hours afterwards and some discomfort for a few days but the end result has been well worthwhile, bearing in mind that family members have lost their teeth due to gum disease and I was very keen to avoid a similar fate. I can't really thank Dr Tsai and his team enough for what they have achieved with my gum rehabilitation and based on my experiences have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Paul was delighted to see me and very excited to discover the condition of my gums after 4/5 years. My gums still feel good and there is no evidence of recession after the surgery. Negative experience: Poor time management at the gum specialists. My initial appointment which I waited months for was moved and they were delayed in attending to me. Difficult to get in touch with even though they say they are just a phone call or email away. My first procedure this morning for 8am is delayed to 0830 and the receptionist advised me that my other procedures were cancelled by me. Not to my knowledge. I would not recommend the gum specialist. I hope my appointment goes well soon. Not happy

Fantastic experience: Compassionate, caring and gentle. I highly recommend them. Dr Tsai and his whole team are basically lovely. Probably like a lot of people, I have hated the dentist since I was a kid, I go because I have to and it's never been pleasant; knocked out teeth, braces, extractions, implants, you name it, I've probably had it at least once, and I need a ton of anaesthetic needles cos I seem to have a tolerance and those needles in the upper palate are bloody intense... but this doctor has a calming presence and kind nature and all of it is a lot more tolerable :) The nurses and assistants are observant and notice my white knuckled clenched hands and knotted shoulders and they try to comfort me. I have always appreciated someone just patting my shoulder or helping me to breathe or relax or hold my hand. It makes such a massive difference when I am a ball of anxious tension. And they have very rarely drowned me with the water stuff or sucked on my lip./cheek with the machines... they are good.. and good people :) AND he only hassles me a reasonable amount about my maintenance/flossing/etc (or lack thereof).

My daughter was incredibly anxious about her surgery but came home saying “I didn’t feel any pain at all, he was so nice, played music and chatted and it was all over so quickly”. Fantastic experience: I lost my 2 front teeth a couple years ago and had to wear a denture for a while which often would come loose when I am eating steak or anything that is hard to chew, upon recommendation of my dentist I decided to get implant done and refered me to Dr Tsai. After a few appointments with Dr Tsai I had my gum cleaned, x-rayed and took time to discussed the best planned to have my implant done. On the day I had the surgery I was nervous and anxious but the team at The Gum Specialist made me feel at ease ( Shout out and thanks nurse Sue ) which made the surgery a breeze and I was able to drive home on my own. One suggestion is get the mouth wash and the pain killer from the chemist before the surgery as I was struggling to talk in the first hour from my numb lips. I took 2 days off work for the surgery. A few weeks later when my gum had healed my dentist made and fitted the new teeth onto my implant. Best decision I made, I can now eat anything I want without worrying about my teeth coming loose - got my confident back.
