Teachers Health Centre Parramatta - Dental & Eyecare

Fantastic experience: Dr Nimisha is a fantastic dentist - kind and gentle. Highly recommend her for dental work through Teachers Health.

Negative experience: Very understaffed you can never get an appointment when you want one. After waiting for over 3 months for a Saturday morning appointment, with 2 weeks to go Teacher's Health cancelled, as the dentist was no longer available. Pathetic service.

Negative experience: Usually not bad, but they made me wait 30 mins for an appointment today, even with a booking, and the place was not even busy. Patients coming in after me were seen before me. Not happy. The service itself was good. *update - two years since the original review. Again, we arrived on time as requested for a standard eye test. This time we had to wait 22 additional minutes because the person being seen before us had an appointment that went way over-time. We were only seen when we raised our concern (and had to pay for additional parking) at which point they paused the other appointment so we could be seen. If we hadn't said anything, we may have had to continue to wait for who knows how long. The place was otherwise almost empty again. I don't think I'll be back to this particular site as the city centre just seems so much better run.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff . Their customer service is poor. It feels like a toxic environment. There is no parking in the facility and you need to walk to the public carpark and pay.

Fantastic experience: Considering the changes and structures they have ungone in the last 2 years, they still remain to be above and beyond in terms of customer value, service and support.

Positive experience: The optometrist section was good and the gentleman was helpful. We went to discuss our actual policy and whilst advertised as open, the 'health insurance' part was closed. Made the large majority of the treck redundant. Honestly would have thought seeing it was targeted at teachers they would have had that open on a day all teachers have off and have all services open when advertised.

Positive experience: I have been going here for years but it's a real mixed bag when it comes to range and service. Some staff are excellent , while others leave much room for improvement. The range of glasses has also become dated and choices remain far too conservative when compared to their competitors. I got my eyes tested here and went somewhere else fory frames due to the better choice elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Both the dental and optical departments are very thorough and professional. I’m a very nervous dental patient and the staff are always reassuring and take the time to explain everything really well which helps a lot.

Positive experience: Teachers health provides great dental and optical at reduced rates for teachers and their families. Insurance rates are good considering what is covered. Staff at Parramatta are very friendly and helpful.
