Negative experience: Terrible customer service, they cancel appointments without informing you.

Negative experience: Summary - if you are reading this. There are plenty of 1 star reviews telling you not to come here. And this dental place rating is far below any others in the area for a reason. As of today I have escalated my complaint to AHPRA. And despite the response below no one contacted me, refunded me, or reimbursed me for the cost of Invisalign I came to have my permanent retainer re-bonded. The dentist who did it - applied it wrong bending the wire and mis gluing it to my front teeth. It has caused my teeth to shift. Now I will have to spend >$5,000 to get Invisalign after already undergoing through orthodontics. My teeth have clearly shifted. I have gone now to two different opinions which agree that is due to the bottom wire being misplaced. Go to Newstead smile or Tenerife Dental. Far superior. And for all those people with clearly got misservice for your time here - escalate your concern. This is not ok.

Negative experience: Would leave zero stars if possible... Had my permanent retainer broken here during a routine scale and clean previously. After that time the repairs to the retainer have failed twice. Both times I previously went back a dentist at Pacific Smiles attempted to fix this and it was charged to my insurance. I went back today as it had broken a third time and got it patched up by Dr Henry Low. Now all of a sudden the price has changed to $238 for the same service?? When questioned the practice manager claimed "you got the treatment and we can charge whatever we like". Absolutely disgusting the way I was spoken to and gaslit. It was like the practice manager was enjoying the power trip and being able to speak down to someone. Embarassing behaviour and probably time to change jobs. Will be taking this to APHRA as well as the ACCC for misleading practice. You can't quote something previously twice and then change your mind afterwards. No where when booking does it state different dentists have different prices. I ll also be reporting to AHM about their preferred provider. Hopefully this gives the practice good value for its $238 scam.... It would have been great if my retainer wasn't broken here in the first place but of course this was never considered. The only thing worse than the dental treatment here is the staff on the front desk And pacific smiles don't bother replying with a copy and paste template suggesting that I email my concerns through

Fantastic experience: Very Professional

Negative experience: If it weren’t for the convenient location, I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to friends or family. I’ve now had two negative experiences here, and what’s more disappointing is the lack of acknowledgment after raising concerns. I shared my concerns with the practice manager over two weeks ago and received no reply or acknowledgment, which only added to the frustration and left me with little confidence in this practice.

Fantastic experience: Great clinic conveniently located at Gasworks making it easy to find parking. Reception is clean and inviting and reception team always attentive and friendly. Seen Dr Toan a couple of times now (once for emergency capping when I knocked myself out..long story).. and again for a clean. Put my nerves at ease (very nervous patient ) and was gentle, efficient and knowledgeable. Now my family go there too! No complaints from us!

Negative experience: I recently visited Pacific Smiles for a checkup and cleaning, and the experience was downright infuriating. The entire service was rushed, barely lasting 20 minutes, and the dentist completely ignored my questions throughout the appointment. Despite the pathetic level of care, they had the audacity to charge me $453 for what was supposed to be two $225 services.(insurance pricing) When I got home and checked my teeth, I was stunned — the job was half-done, with several teeth completely untouched. This is beyond unacceptable. I confronted the manager, and her attitude was nothing short of arrogant and dismissive, as if I was the one causing a problem. I feel completely scammed and disrespected. This clinic clearly has no regard for its customers, shamelessly charging obscene prices for incompetent, slapdash work. Avoid this place if you value your money and expect even a shred of decency.

Negative experience: arrived for my appointment, and was expected to wait 45 minutes over my appointment time, with no communication from anyone. i had to walk out to go back to work.

Positive experience: If you want a great dental practice, you need Pacific Smiles, as with people like Dr Jordan and there great staff - you'll always get great service.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to Dr Jordan Tselepy. She's fantastic, personable, thorough and thoughtful. It's always a pleasure and I absolutely recommend if you're apprehensive about the dentist or just looking to upgrade your dental game.

Fantastic experience: The entire team were professional and very pleasant. The service was exceptional. For an initial consultation and clean. X-Rays were taken and a plan of action put into place to protect my teeth. As an AHM private health fund member. It was hassle free and no gap payment needed. Overall, a great experience at the dentist.

They also offer afterpay which is very helpful as we all know how difficult it can be to have the money readily available for necessary dentist work. Hopefully a shift in Australian political leadership will see dentistry added to medical care

Negative experience: Waited 35 mins over my wait time, already anxious to go in for 30 seconds and have the dentist tell me they could not remove my wisdom tooth today and had to refer.. the dentist referred me to another specialist but I had filled out online I needed a wisdom tooth removed prior to coming into my appointment.. would have been nice to be called prior or emailed prior to appointment to tell me that there’s a chance they may not be able to remove the tooth.. $96 dollars for a 30 second check to be told I needed a referral.. waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Really nice staff, runs on time, everyone is kind and professional. Im not a fan of visiting the dentist at all, but they really make you feel looked after properly here. Very happy with them.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with Dr. H Low. I booked an appointment with him because he was the only option available. He was supposed to repair two broken teeth, but both fell out within a week. He didn’t attempt to fix one of them and claimed he hadn’t worked on the other, despite photographic evidence I provided. Never book with him!! Is a waste of money and time.

Negative experience: They tend to refer to other dentists rather then make a treatment plan or refer to specialist. My theory is so that they can have more sessions and bill more. Totally unprofessional.

I have a private health insurance which is partnered with pacific smile dental. Dr. Kim is thorough and understanding, being mindful with my health fund situation and determine the best plan for me. I've never walked out of a dentist feeling that positive and hopeful with my bad teeth. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I’m always looked after by the team here, and really love their no-gap checkups/cleans. I find their prices somewhat reasonable, but I have private health that covers most of it. Appointments are flexible, staff are friendly, and they really care for their patients well-being and comfort. I’m glad Newstead finally opened up as I used to travel quite a bit to my old Pacific Smiles Dentist.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in the service. Nothing against the dental work itself. I was running 5min late to the appointment. I’m walking around the gasworks center lost, trying to find the store. To have reception call and advise that my appointment is canceled while I’m just meters away. I was hoping reception was going to assist in giving me directions, instead got the cold response that they are canceling on me. I understand the tight schedules for appointments. My appointment was given away to the next person. Therefore that person’s appointment has left a gap. Instead of offering me that persons time slot, I’m outright canceled and rebooked. I acknowledge that the ‘late policy’ was clearly explained as part of the booking process. However… good service requires some flexibility. I’m feeling really quite defeated after that experience. To be in the area and on time for the appointment. But end up being late trying to locate the store. After the advice for cancellation, I was told of the location, I realize I’m just meters away. If only I thought to go around the corner a little more. Was a bit of a waste of time and effort. I’m not expecting a response. I’ve got another appointment scheduled, I’ll move on. But worth raising this feedback. My health insurance has a working arrangement with the Pacific Smiles franchise. There is no other competitor in the area, that has an arrangement with my health fund. If I had the option i would have chosen to book somewhere else. It’s just a very cold and clinical customer service experience.

Fantastic experience: I can't fault the team at PSD and Dr V Sharma is wonderful. I was worried about getting two needles in my mouth when having my fillings done but I did not feel a thing!! I was reassured all the way through the treatment and offered a rubber insert to rest my teeth on so I didn't have to keep my jaw open and uncomfortable the whole time. I would definitely recommend this dentist clinic.

Negative experience: This Smiles Dental opened in Newstead at end of June 2021. My wife booked for a clean and x-ray early July. $190. The female dentist treated her and said my wife had two teeth needing treatment and booked her to come back. No x-ray was shown to her. No explanation. Before the appointment we went to the office and asked for more information. The receptionist said two teeth needed refilling at $440. My wife accepted this and had the procedure. After the injection wore off she had pain in one tooth and gum which continued for over a week so we went back and the male dentist ground back the filling which helped a little but the pain stayed until we made another appointment the next week. We saw the original dentist. She put my wife in the chair and studied the situation and came to the conclusion that her work was ok but a crown next to it was the problem. It was not a problem before. She only went for a clean! Now she still has this pain caused by this dentist. She also charged $139 for this. My wife has paid $769 for what? She now has to get a compentant person to fix the problem. We will not be back.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, it was so good going here, the best dental experience I've had in AU. Very professional, very good at what they do, highly highly recommend. And very good pricing.
