Fantastic experience: Very impressed either way my first visit to Pacific Smiles Dental, which is located between BigW and Woolworths in Rockdale Plaza. Open 7 days per week which is super convenient as I work full time Monday to Friday. Warmly greeted by the Receptionist. The dentist who looked after me was a female, Dr Saroja. She was very welcoming, thorough, professional and took the time to explain why I needed various treatments. I was as very impressed and will continue to go back to her for further treatment.

Negative experience: Sick & tired of making appointments with them to be cancelled or replaced by someone online. Dentists changing all the time….over it. Will now have to find a dentist practice that is reliable. The dentist’s that I’ve seen are not the problem it’s practice model that is!

Fantastic experience: The staff and especially Daniel were wonderful There is not enough words to say how wonderful and very patient with me who was nervous and scared. But Daniel was extremely patient and as gentle as he could be taking 2 teeth out. The first appointment was where He gave me all the information I needed before the procedure so that I was aware and knew what might happen as I have osteoporosis and the dangers because of that. I cant thank Daniel and Pacific Smiles enough. I have found a dentist forever and will recommend them to anyone I can The procedure went well better than he expected. He was so amazing. Negative experience: My friend has a horrible experience last week. Went in for some basic consultation, the dentist conducted an X-ray yet failed to understand what treatment needs to be provided. Went ahead with removing her existing fillings and replacing them. Only to make it worse, one week later the pain is unbearable and when she went back, she is now being told she requires root canal. Why wasn’t this diagnosed the first time around. Bagged $500 for the filling and now quoting another $1000 for the root canal. This place is a scam, watch out unless you want to be in physical and financial pain.

Negative experience: An absolutely terrible experience with Dr. J Guirguis at Pacific Smiles Rockdale. My friend visited him for some basic sensitivity issues, expecting a proper consultation and care. Instead, this so-called "doctor" didn't even bother to conduct a proper consultation or take an X-ray before jumping straight into treatment. He started working on her without understanding the underlying issue. Now, my friend is dealing with a severe infection that's spread, and she needs a root canal within a week! To make matters worse, Dr. Guirguis refused to prescribe any antibiotics, even though it's obvious that she needs them. It’s clear that he was more interested in draining her wallet than actually providing proper care. Absolutely horrible experience! Beware of who you trust with your dental health—they’re just out to loot your money.

Negative experience: BUTCHER!! Went to doctor J Guirguis as I had some sensitivity in my teeth. He saw me for 5 seconds and the said, great, we need to redo your fillings. A week later I am in excruciating pain, go back to him and he is like oh I think you need a root canal. YOU THINK. Made him write me a script for antibiotics in case it’s just an infection - MADE HIM WRITE ME ONE, he was ready to get his tools out and start with the bloody procedure. Could he NOT see that the nerve was infected when he did my xray the first time I went around? I paid 500 plus for the fillings and now another 1000 approximately because the doctor is incompetent. In extreme pain and suffering from an unexpected financial hit thanks to this practice.

Positive experience: All of my experiences with Pacific Smiles Dental have been great. The only negative is (as usual with dental) it's so expensive and you get so little back from the insurance companies, not that that is the fault of theirs.

Fantastic experience: Took my dad for emergency dental work. Professional staff who took the extra miles to explain, educate and provide my dad with all the available options for his tooth infection. Fantastic experience: Dr Samaan has been great - from the first appointment he clearly explained to me what treatment i needed and how he'd take a staggered approach to fix my dental issues, and at each appointment reconfirming what we were doing in that appointment and what the next steps were. He always checked in with me during the appointment to make sure i was feeling okay and always asked if i had questions. They even pushed out my treatment plan a few months so my annual private health dental entitlement would renew, so i had less out of pocket expenses to pay. With the high cost of living pressures, this has helped me alot! The ladies at reception have been super helpful too. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with pacific smiles today. After reading some reviews here I was a bit sceptical, but decided to give it a go anyway. My doctor did a very thorough evaluation and great cleaning to my teeth. I had some stains I’ve been worried about and now the all gone! I am very happy with the service provided. It was probably the best hygiene appointment I had so far and I lived in a few different countries including England, so can compare. It wasn’t rushed at all and was very thorough. Will come back for sure

Fantastic experience: Great dentist, Dr Guirguis is excellent as I was worried he reassured me everything will be fine. Had 2 teeth extracted within 10 minutes. Once sedation wore off there was a little swelling but have not felt any pain at all.. Highly recommend pacific smiles, all round service is brilliant and the pricing was very fair.. Brilliant...

Positive experience: Dr Jihan and her assistant Sanam (sp.) were very good. Dr Jihan explained every step of the process. She knew I was slightly nervous after not seeing a dentist for three years. So - as she was working on my teeth, she regularly stopped and asked me if I was okay. Very considerate and professional. The technology was interesting - as there was a screen on the ceiling which projected images of my teeth so I could see the before and after. I would go again and recommend my family and friends to see Dr Jihan. She took away my previous dental discomfort, and the clinic was so close to home.

She shouts at me and called my daughter without my permission just to translate my words because she thinks I didnt understand her. Very unprofessional behavior. Negative experience: It was my first dental appointment with Pacific Smiles Dental Rockdale with Dr Jacob Guirguis. It was the worst dental cleaning experience I have had in my whole life. He has heavy hands, and I left there with a sore tongue and inner cheek. I went home feeling upset and with a sore mouth (not smiling after a dental visit) Clearly, he was rushing to get out of there as I was the last patient. He didn't even take an x-ray or photo of my teeth (or even suggest it), which is what they usually do for first-time clients. I don't think I will come back to this clinic. Please cancel my next booking.
