Fantastic experience: Extremely happy with the work from Dr Dan and the friendly staff at Dental Town. I Had extractions,crowns,plates and a mouth guard for sleep apnoea. 10/10

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience at Dental Town. I went in with a toothache, but they immediately pushed for extraction without offering other options. They took an X-ray but didn’t give me a report—just showed it briefly on screen. Then they recommended a cleaning (which felt unrelated), and charged $640 without clear prior explanation. They quoted $440 more for extraction, but I went elsewhere and had it done for $240. Felt completely misled. Be sure to ask questions and check prices before agreeing to anything here.

Fantastic experience: I had a terrible toothache overnight and contacted Dentaltown the next morning — they got me in the same day! The lady at reception was incredibly helpful and kind, and communication was easy and smooth. Dr. Dan, who treated my tooth, was very professional, gentle, and clearly very experienced. I’m so happy with the care I received at Dentaltown and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you again .

Negative experience: I have been to dentaltown a few times about 5+ years ago. The rebuilt molar broke apart shortly afterwards. Just received an unsolicited phone call from them today trying to trick me into making an appointment as though I had missed one. I called them out and they just went silent. Tricky tricky tricky.

Negative experience: Rang up cause I'm in so much pain,but they didn't want to make a payment plan.so have to wait in agony over the weekend to get seen by another dentist.shame on yous

Negative experience: Don’t waste $200 being told that the dentist couldn’t prescribe antibiotics and that you would need your tooth extracted and it could never be replaced then told an extra $550 to extract on top of the $200 consultation fee. AND that if a surgeon had to be called in MORE costs incurred . When I said I couldn’t afford the extraction he gave me a script for antibiotics …. Confusing and awkward and a big waste of money I’m putting my money with Dr Tan

Negative experience: This dentist is a rip off quotes 300 then after the treatment charged us 750 we have reported him to Medicare for fraud hopefully they will charge him he should be shut down disgusting dentist

Fantastic experience: Called on a Sunday morning with the most agonising tooth pain, got seen at 6:45pm that Sunday night, Dr Dan the dentist made it so much less stressful for someone with large amounts of anxiety around the dentist! The caring staff made the whole experience of a tooth extraction way less painful and daunting! The next day being called up to check on me and the progress of my tooth! Amazing customer service!! Will be back

Fantastic experience: My husband need an emergency appointment and I found Dentaltown on the web. I rang and Dr Dan found time to fit him in at 9.30pm on a Sunday night, I was amazed and very impressed. Dan worked on my husband for two hours pretty much but he walked out pain free which was such a relief. Highly recommended as getting that service out of hours is really hard to find, and when you’re in that much pain then it means the world to you. Thanks Dan, awesome job.

Positive experience: Came here to get my tooth capped due to my usual dentist being closed (he charges $150 for a cap) They did a good job with the cap but very expensive and was quoted $399 during the procedure, ended up paying $508, was way out of what I was willing to pay, but luckily I was able to cover the bill. I wouldn't come hear again due to the pricing, Staff was lovely, but wasn't really aware about pricing until after as it wasnt exactly confirmed on exact pricing. Come here if you have money to spend, otherwise go else where if you're on a budget

Negative experience: They have overcharged us for a simple clean and reach more than 350 dollars just for it. This is unethical and overcharging people. I would suggest avoiding them unless you are rich. The staff doesn't even dare to tell us their usual price because he knows he is overcharging me. I'm never going back anymore.

Fantastic experience: Dr Daniel is fantastic I had a fear of dentists met Dr Dan and never looked back so fantastic

Negative experience: An absolute rip-off tried to charge 900 for 1 filling which they told me was only going to require a 30 minute appointment and then tried to lie and say the boss was out of town when I asked for a spilt payment.

Fantastic experience: Visited DentalTown afterhours. Daniel fixed my dental issue rather quickly, was very prompt with getting back to me late in the evening and very accommodating.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Daniel and Emma enough!!! I was petrified of dentists and had many appointments as I had to have a full removal and full dentures done. Daniel and Emma where so supportive and kind, and went above and beyond to make my experience as painless and stress free as possible. They both supported me through my journey 100%.

Fantastic experience: I will 100% be returning. I was in pain for days, and accessed the 24 hour support and received a phone call back quite quickly. I was booked in for an appointment in the afternoon and had my teeth examined and booked in for treatment shortly later. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and Dan who I believe was the dentist, was kind, caring and exceptionally professional, my tooth was extracted and I have had almost no pain since the extraction, I had a tooth pulled at another dentist many years ago and there was a lot of pain, so I was worried and I was expecting there to be pain, but I have been able to function, talk and have not required much pain relief at all. Amazing service was offered by Emma and Dan throughout the whole experience and I will be 100% returning to improve my dental situation. I'm glad I chose these guys. Thank you Dan and Emma for the positive experience. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.

Negative experience: The price of the dental assessment was very interesting, it cost 120 to check one tooth and I had two areas that needed filling.... It would have cost 199 for assessment only. I was very clear that all I needed was a filling as I had only had my teeth checked a few days earlier. I told the dentist exactly what I needed, but it was surprising that an assessment was necessary. His advice was useless and I paid $199 for nothing but some useless information I had already known. I told him exactly what my problem was and what treatment options I needed. All quotes were to the highest standard.... I paid for a full examination but the teeth were not seriously examined.

Negative experience: I visited this dentist a while ago and my experience was so unpleasant that I still think about it, and it has been over a year. I felt uncomfortable during my time in the clinic, and the “treatment” (more advice) was not worth the high prices. It felt very rushed/confusing, and the communication between dr and patient was not effective. I left unsure of what I had even paid for, as it seemed that nothing was done in the quick 10 minutes that I sat in the chair. My mother was with me and she also felt uncomfortable. Disappointing because the reception staff were nice, and their phone communication before and after the appointment was good.

Negative experience: I went in for a late night appointment. I was advised of the cost for consolation and x-rays. Which came to $350. Once I arrived, I was then informed that there will be an extra treatment charge on top. Once inside, inside of asking about my condition, I was immediately questioned about the cost. I was in severe pain the whole time. I was taken out back to a room, were instead of being treated, I was asked to sign up to zippay before I could get help. My zippay wasn't approved. So all I got was a local anisthectic in my gum which did absolutely nothing to help the pain and given a script before being rushed out the door so I wouldn't miss the pharmacy. I am still in pain and $350 down for absolutely no results.

Negative experience: Very bad experience, the staff is very friendly, but the doctor Daniel Hetrelezis is very unprofessional and unfriendly to the patient. In order to find an excuse for the possible medical error that Daniel Hetrelezis himself may cause, he even signed you an unreasonable exemption document. Launceston has a history The most unprofessional dentist has no second place. For dentists, I would not recommend this doctor. If it is not for emergency, it is really unnecessary to come here to receive the indifferent speech attitude and unprofessional treatment of this unprofessional doctor. There is no dentist in Launceston that will allow patients to sign a disclaimer before any treatment. If you do not sign, Daniel Hetrelezis will tell you in a very unfriendly manner that he is not willing to do any treatment, and you'd better leave his clinic, we believe we are not The first and will not be the last patient to be treated this way until the next.

Negative experience: expensive . In my opinion prifits over outcomes

Negative experience: 3 visits ( l have to travel 1 hr @visit, plus costs) for one filling, first to quote for filing, $101 (had to come back in a week), do filing $587, 3rd to fix 2nd visit (only dentist l have been to who never checked the height of the filling with the colored paper) Total 1 filing $688. First meal after 3 rd visit, snapped off tooth beside new filling (most probable a coincidence) went to another dentist, similar length producer, 1 visit $320, asked what price if they had done Dentaltown filling, he said $400. Also said they wouldn't have used pins in a white amalgam filling as they are likely to fail ( i didn't ask for a white filling, more expensive and not as strong? and it wasn't a front tooth and my mouth is full of silver amalgams). Will add that the staff are friendly, but you go to a dentist for your teeth.

Negative experience: I was quoted a set price for consultation and an additional cost if xrays were required. I was charged a LOT more 2 xrays and digital photos. I was never told about the extra charges until it was time to leave. My appointment was to assess required dental work and for a quote. I did not get either. I felt treated like a child and told what I could not have rather than what I could have done. No details of what was needed or how much it would cost. Told to go home and think of a budget despite telling the dentist I want a price for everything and then I will decide whether I will get it done. Totally misrepresented online and a very disappointing waste of time and money. The whole operation and consulting rooms looked cheap and nasty, no privacy.

Fantastic experience: Visiting the dentist has never been one of my favourite past times. However, Dentaltowns innovative approach to providing a new and friendly environment is very welcoming. Dr. Dan takes the time to listen and work out a plan that works best for the health of my teeth and general well-being. By providing a comfortable environment and friendly staff, I felt very relaxed throughout my procedure. I highly recommend Dentaltown to those that have anxiety issues when it comes to Dentists and needles, as they really are, as they say, gentle.
