Negative experience: Roughest clean and check-up I have ever had in over 70 years. I was asked about 20 times in 30 minutes if I had any questions. Totally unnecessary. They had no record of my appointment when I arrived, even though I had it written on one of their cards by the receptionist from the previous appointment.

Negative experience: Overcharged! our Health fund provider paid for our visit, also our Credit card was also charged, so Pacific Smiles has been paid twice, getting a refund is hard work, still waitng after over 2 weeks!

Negative experience: Receptionist was really nice and friendly but it started and ended with her. Alex Chen had terrible beside manner and was incredibly rude and dismissive in my appointment. Never been so disappointed from a dentist appointment from the way I was treated. Will not be back to see him that's for sure.

Negative experience: Dental check up , xray , teeth clean all done in less than 15 minutes. Rushed up procedure resulted in painful sensitive teeth

Negative experience: I had a teeth clean, which I have had many times before, which was all of 6 minutes. No floss, no polish and no application of fluoride via a teeth guard. I was charged $280 for this less than satisfactory service. Luckily my health fund covered the cost but I can't help but feeling this is wrong.

Positive experience: I was charged $180 for a 15-minute cleaning. The receipt showed that there was a visit, but no visit was done, no x-ray, nothing special. I sat on the chair a 2:40 pm, left at 3:00pm...something is clearly wrong... The cleaning should be a maximum of $120...

Negative experience: Had my first experience at pacific smiles although the reception staff were friendly I felt like the dentist had no care or rapport and was just trying to get money from me have had no issues with my teeth till today suddenly I need several things done and they charged an absolute fortune for a clean and check and my teeth didn’t feel clean at all Just felt like they were after money

Negative experience: Disappointed today as we had a 9am appt. & the entire place was closed. Others were in a queue waiting outside too. Sign on the door said open. Website said open. Voice message said open but you were well & truly closed. NO MESSAGE was given to us letting us know the appt had been cancelled. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Negative experience: Hi I had a relatives tooth removed and it was the wrong tooth.Apauling I will be taking it further,as it is very unprofessional also had to wait over a hour later in the waiting room ,because dentist was running late .Very Unprofessional People .Do not Use

Fantastic experience: We've been going here since moving to the area 15 years ago and have seen various dentists. All have been fantastic with all ages from tiny tots through to an elderly and frail parent with dementia, who required extensive work. Took my (now) teens to see Dr Mina Giuguis today - lovely dentist, very reassurring, affirming and went out of his way to show a genuine interest in the kids and build rapport. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: We have used this dentist practice for a number of years and for much of that time had received a good experience but over the last year it has really gone downhill. Our most recent visit was our worst yet by some margin - and it will be our last. My young daughter's crown had come loose and was only attached on one side so we called the dentist and made an appointment to urgently get it fixed. To say the dentist was disinterested in her plight is being generous to him. He didn't speak to my daughter for the entire appointment let alone try and set her mind at ease or make her feel comfortable. He barely spoke to me either, just grunted a lot and generally made it clear that he would rather that either we or he were elsewhere. After much fiddling around in my daughter's mouth as she winced in pain and with no explanation to her of what was going on he announced that there were all sorts of problems but he wasn't going to be fixing them. And just left it at that with an awkward silence. After much pushing I eventually managed to get an explanation of what he considered the problems were. He made it clear that in his view these problems were caused by dental work she had done almost three years ago. We were promptly told to go away and try and find the dentist from three years ago who should be the one to fix it because he had no intention of helping us. Meanwhile daughter is trembling in the dentists chair not understanding anything that is happening and with a crown hanging off her tooth and we're being ushered out of the room being told to pay on the way out. Daughter is now petrified of going to the dentist, we're out of pocket before even getting anything done to help her and we were provided with no solutions at all, just essentially scolded for something beyond our control and told to go somewhere else. We came to try and get my daughter help but this practice is the last place I suggest you go if you want dental help or you want to have your child treated how a scared child should be treated in a medical setting.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I've ever been too! The Assistant Centre Manager, Kathie, is absolutely lovely! Loves having a good chat with customers and helping them with any questions or problems they may have. I've been seen by Dr Ash (I can't remember his actual name lol) and he was thorough, very gentle. Highly recommend Pacific Smiles Torquay!

Negative experience: I was just doing teeth clean in this store and then dentist persuaded me to do teeth filling, my teeth had small decay but actually I didn’t feel any pain, dentist guaranteed me if I don’t do filling now, my teeth will end with root canal. Then I did filling and after that my teeth started to have pain and my jaw experienced constant sore, even after one month, this discomfort did not go away. I tried to re-visit same dentist twice but not helpful, she could not do anything. Afterwards, tried to call store to connect to store manager several times, but every time I was told manager is not in store. They created pain to patient’s teeth and not even tried to resolve it.

Negative experience: The dental nurses here are terrible. Making snide remarks about paying customers, and being crytical or their teeth and dental hygene. What a disgrace. Should be reported to the A.D.A.

Fantastic experience: Have always been great. I'm happy to drive the extra half hour to go to this practice, who have been exceptional every time. I go the extra mile, as they do when seeing me.
Negative experience: Pretty disappointing, I scheduled an appointment for 12:30pm 2 weeks ago, only to be told that the dentist was running late when I got there, and that 3:10pm is now the earliest I could get in. What's the point in making an appointment if you can't hold that appointment?
Negative experience: The most uninterrsted Dentist I've ever experienced. Not interested in helping me. Wow, I will never be back there again.
