Fantastic experience: I had a good experience at this dental clinic. I chose it because it’s close to my home. From the outside, it doesn’t look very appealing — it’s like an old house — but once inside, I felt comfortable. The reception was welcoming, and the dentist provided great care, which helped me relax. I’m usually very nervous about going to the dentist due to bad experiences in the past, but here, I felt safe and well looked after. I’m really glad I chose this place. The whole staff was friendly and caring.

Negative experience: I have been to plenty of places, but never — never — have I experienced such blatant incompetence! How do you forget to swap an insurance card during the actual appointment, and then have the audacity to call me days later demanding I come back just for that? Do you think we have nothing better to do? I took time out of my schedule, came in for service, and your receptionist couldn't even do the bare minimum? And now you want me to waste more of my time because of your mistake? What’s even more ridiculous is the so-called "warning" that if I don’t come back within 3 days, I’ll have to pay the full fee myself? Are you serious? Why should I be punished for your staff’s failure to do their job? Am I your servant or what?! You mess up, and I’m the one paying the price — literally. This is beyond unprofessional. It’s disrespectful, it’s irresponsible, and it’s outrageous!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! Best dentist I've found after living in the inner west for 20years. I saw Luisa who is kind, empathic with anxious patients like me and most of all absolutely amazing at what she does. I can smile again with confidence :) everyone makes you feel welcome and the online booking system is great.

Fantastic experience: After my regular dentist went on parental leave I was recommended to go see Ellis and I haven’t looked back. He is attentive and knowledgeable. My entire family now see Ellis. The staff at reception are also helpful whenever I’ve needed an appointment on short notice! My adult daughter had an Invisalign treatment to address a relapse post braces removal (done when she was a teen at a different clinic several years ago) - she was also very pleased with the results.

Negative experience: I am a existing patient. Very hard to make appointment, both by phone and Online. If you try make appointment online they want you sign up with passwords and really unnecessary information and procedures not really needed just to make appointment.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, the entire experience at Dulwich Dental has been amazing. It was only my second time at the dentist ever, I felt really embarrassed and afraid. Dr Ellis was so attentive, kind and gentle. I explained my anxiety and history to him and he was honestly so nice about it. All the staff here, including wonderful reception staff make you feel so at ease. Negative experience: It’s all about money money money. I did consultation with them, asked them if I am ok to put braces as I have gum disease. They said I am ok to put braces. Then after braces I lose a lot of teeth. Now I only have 4 teeth left in the bottom because of braces. Make my life like hell, no confidence at all. Be careful with them.

She also did a great Invisalign consultation and explained the treatment plan, what I needed to do and management for Invisalign. Highly recommended. Looking forward to my next clean.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ellis Vakirtzis is absolutely amazing! I have been seeing him for over a year now and I cannot be more grateful to have found him. My entire family go to Dulwich Dental now and that’s pretty much because of him. He is patient, detailed oriented and always keen to provide enough explanation to my queries. Even the small little things that I only notice, he takes them with respect and dedication to address my concerns and make sure I am comfortable with the decisions made. He does not suggest anything that is not really required, which has built my trust even more in his professional judgement. I know I am in good hands. His team in general is very kind and dedicated. I have had to reschedule several times and always find a friendly voice on the other side of the phone willing to help and sort out the logistics. The business itself is very transparent, there is no “hidden” costs out of my visits as they build directly to Bupa and it’s clear what gaps I am responsible for. I cannot recommend this practice enough, they are beyond expectations and I’ll continue visiting them to take care of me and my family. Thanks for such a great service!

Fantastic experience: Ellis is very professional, personable, gentle and patient Dentist. He always takes the time to explain where my tooth pain is coming from and the treatment required to eliminate it. He thoroughly explains my options and offers his expert advice. After some discussion he will always proceed with the best treatment for me. I am an anxious patient and Ellis makes me feel at ease and works through the procedure with me to ensure that I feel comfortable. He plays relaxing music to keep me calm and will always stop the procedure if I need a break. His dental work is impeccable and I have not experienced any incidents or felt any pain after his procedures. His Dental nurse Christine is always very friendly and assists Ellis to ensure that I feet at ease. The front desk staff are always welcoming, personable and friendly. They make it easy to arrange appointments and send me a reminder a couple of days prior to ensure that I don't forget. I highly recommend Ellis and Dulwich Hill Dental team to all my family and friends for their professionalism and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ellis Vakirtzis made the whole experience of going to the dentist relaxing and stress free, one of the friendliest and most approachable medical professionals I've ever been to. Fantastic experience: Ive been going Dulwich Hill Dental Service for more then 10 years now. From someone who hated the dentist am really comfortable and always satisfied after my visits. Dr Faddy is by far one of the nicest humans ive meet and is always kind and happy to see me. Not once have I ever had any pain or pinches when recieving local anisteics from him and his team is by far one of the most professional dental clinics ive ever been to. I have moved away from Dulwich Hill for more then 3 years now and still make the effort to go back and refuse to go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I first went here when I lived in Dulwich Hill, now I've moved further away I still come back for my check up and clean because the staff here are so amazing and genuine. Louisa is really professional and hospitable you can tell she enjoys what she does. I always get a free goodie bag with toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss when I go. Highly recommend going here!

Fantastic experience: A friend of mine recommended this surgery when I was new to the area a few years ago. I have been very nervous visiting other dentists in the past, but was very pleased when I attended Dulwich Dental Services. The staff were very attentive and friendly, they put me at ease straight away. I don't feel nervous going to the dentist anymore. All the services I had done, including wisdom teeth removal, fillings and cleans were of a very high standard. Everything was well presented and clean. I highly recommend Dulwich Dental Services.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the services of Dulwich Hill Dental Services. Our family have been patients for over 20 years. In that time our family grew to 4 children, who all needed orthodontic treatment. The doctors were outstanding in their assessment of all four children. Our eldest child required upper palette expansion prior to braces and this preparation produced a fantastic result without the need for removal of teeth. Our youngest child presented with a mesioden and undescended teeth and no where for them to go. This required surgery which was explained and followed up to ensure our child was comfortable with the procedure. The result is a beautiful smile. Negative experience: I went to Dulwich Dental for braces. Although the dentists were really great the orthodontist was awful! I wasn't told when paying the deposit that the orthodontist was only there one week per month, although this was inconvenient I dealt with it. What I was really unhappy about was the amount of times he slipped while working on my teeth and stabbed my mouth with whatever tool he was using, even when he cleaned my teeth he was cutting my gums which was extremely painful! It was as if he had unsteady hands or bad eyesight. When I had the braces removed I had my two front teeth capped, which look terrible - they are uneven, I can't even floss between them and they have discoloured even though I brush my teeth regularly. To top things off, I paid for 2 years worth of consultations and when they took the braces off after just one year I didn't receive any refund for the excess paid. Every consultation I had I was overcharged so on top of my health fund paying the max benefit, I also had to pay over $100 every visit. Since having my braces removed, both the permanent retainers have broken (within the first 3 months) and when I called up about it they told me not to worry about it unless it was causing me pain. I now have to pay to have these fixed again at another dentist, as well as my two front teeth recapped. Dodgy dental surgery claiming peoples health fund benefits plus extra.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Dulwich Dental Services over 5 years ago, with a phobia of dentists. The dentists and staff are all very helpful and friendly. The dentist took the time to explain what I needed and the procedures involved. I have since had my wisdom teeth taken out, cleans, fillings and orthodontics done here and would not go anywhere else. The prices are fair for the high quality of work that they provide. The best part is I no longer have a fear of dentists! I would highly recommend this dental surgery!
