Negative experience: I visited based on the great reviews here, and am leaving this review in hopes to warn others. I came to simply have a discussion about a guard to stop my teeth grinding. I have 100% heath cover for dental. I was charged $150 for a chat with Dr Paul, he said it had no cover or health care codes to apply. He said I could come back for the $900 guard and "save" the consultation fee. I don't trust or believe this dentist has my best interests in mind and is carefully finding a way to ensure you return to spend more money.

Fantastic experience: Having endured many painful dental experiences throughout my childhood and twenties, my greatest fear was going to the dentist. That was until I started going to Paul. Everything about my very first experience over 25 years ago and every other visit since then has completely changed my perceptions. Paul has real empathy for his patients and applies techniques that actually minimise the pain (no more happy gas); he also takes the time to explain what will happen each step of the way. His commitment to outstanding work and doing things properly the first time, means you’ll have a quality result which will last and people commenting on your smile! You only need to walk into his surgery to see that he takes great pride in whatever he does.

I have every confidence in him. He explains his procedures, and is never rushed. His work is just beautiful. In addition to this, he is funny and interesting, and a dental appointment with him is fun, I always enjoy a good catch up when I have an appointment. I could not recommend Paul more highly. His dental assistant Frannie, is lovely too.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Dr Coumbis at least 5 years ago and I couldn't talk more highly of a dentist. He's a perfectionist in everything he does, and the surgery is the most hygenic and sanitised space you'll ever find. When you're in the chair he shows movies with sub-titles so it passes the time quicker. The surgery is right next door to the new arcade that goes through to Woolworths in Double Bay so it is perfect for parking and shopping afterwards. Highly recommended!

I had heard excellent reports from my friends, that had visited Paul, ( Dr Coumbis ) so I booked a consultation with him. Not only did he fix my problem with a minimum of fuss, he was so caring & so patient with me, & he talked me through the entire surgery and made me feel totally at EASE ! - It is without doubt ...the most gratifying experience I have had with a dentist EVER !!! He was careful & watchful, & foremost it was pain free ...with his help. The rooms were ultra chic and spotless. The big screen TV on the ceiling had movies blasting through while I was horizontal, took my mind of the teeth.
