Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and the care I received from the receptionist, nurse, and dentist was exceptional. From the moment I called, they were professional, understanding, and did everything they could to get me seen quickly. I managed to get an appointment within three days, and when I mentioned I was in pain, they worked hard to fit me in even earlier. The dentist, Dr. Mark Calvert, completed the filling in under 30 minutes, and I left the clinic feeling like a new person. Highly recommend — fantastic service and genuinely caring staff!

Mark recently made me a mouthguard after I came in with sore teeth and constant headaches. The guard is made from a scan of your teeth, unique to you. The turn around time was two weeks. Fantastic experience: With no promises, but lots of advice and knowledge Dr Mark has fixed my jaw and I ate my first burger in 1 year today. Last week I suddenly realised I had no pain when I chewed, and I could use the left side of my mouth again. Miracle worker!

Fantastic experience: The words needed to accurately describe the high calibre of this dental clinic simply do not exist. I’ve been taken aback by the professionalism underpinning the practice from the moment you are greeted at reception to the final moments of treatment. Dr. Calvert does not do random, patchy work; he creates a detailed investigative profile of the whole mouth and has a genuine interest in identifying ways of saving, repairing and correcting problematic teeth. Above all, he is so skilled at what he does that one feels totally at ease and always prepared to take on board the well-considered advice. Similarly, I cannot speak highly enough of the hygienist, whose thoroughness is out of this world. In short, I now know, for the very first time that my teeth are in good, competent hands.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walk in the door I find that ALL staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I have always been a nervous dental patient and now all that has changed! Whether it be the receptionist, the hygienist, the dental assistants, or the dentist Mark, they are all so patient with me and explain my issues and what treatment is required. They have also educated me in my own preventative dental care. They work well together as a team and now, instead of a feared appointment, I know that I am going somewhere where I feel relaxed, quite special, and can chat to some 'old friends'.

Fantastic experience: Our family has always had good experiences at this dental clinic. No “dentist anxiety” for us. Procedures are clearly explained and never rushed. We have seen Mark and the team for, in the beginning, a dental crisis and since then for careful management. I highly recommend this clinic if you need a skilled and professional dental “workout”.

Fantastic experience: Mark, Thao, Sonia and the team provide an exceptional service. I have been a patient for over 7 years and most recently (aged 50+) had braces put on. I am THRILLED with the results. Mark is fastidious in his work and treatment plans and costs are transparent and discussed prior so there are no surprises. Thao is a thorough hygienist who provides education and freebie toothbrushes and toothpaste to ensure her hard work lasts! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Mark and the team for a few years now, initially when I had issues with my jaw and recently I completed Invisalign with them. For all dentist-related matters — Invisalign, jaw issues, general upkeep — I could not recommend them highly enough! Mark is very friendly and a calming presence, which I appreciate as someone who is nervous at the dentist. He is also clearly very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what is going on to you in an intuitive way.

I had avoided the dentist for nearly a decade after many horrible experiences (with different dentists) that had left me shaking at the idea of going to see a dentist. I was frightened, I had limited funds, and I had spent years living with gum and mouth pain. I explained my situation on the first consultation, and Mark listened. I got the help I needed, a realistic plan/ roadmap that suited my budget, and I was not heckled to have work done that I couldn't afford. What is being actioned is discussed with me, so that I feel prepared. I no longer have a fear of going to the dentist. Instead, my teeth and gums are in the best shape they have ever been in my adult life. I have taken all the advice given, and I feel confident smiling again. I recommend this dentist, this team. I'm so grateful.

Fantastic experience: Having previously worked as a dental assistant, I have a high expectation and standard of dental health care provision. I visited Dr Mark as I have recently moved to New Farm and was very impressed - I cannot recommend Dr Mark and the team at New Farm Dental enough. I was blown away after my first fillings with Dr Mark, as I didn’t even feel the needles! For anyone who is nervous around getting dental needles, you can rest assured, you are in good hands. Stacey, the receptionist, ensures a high standard of patient care and experience, and always follows up to ensure post treatment recovery is going well. Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Mark and his team highly enough. I started visiting these guys when we moved to New Farm in 2017 and even though we have now moved to Ipswich, I still make the trip to New Farm Dental - it's worth the effort! Mark is a very skilled and experienced professional, and is always happy to answer any queries or explain his methods for those willing to ask. In addition to Mark, the whole team have always been very warm, friendly and professional during my time visiting the studio. Recent Note - I had a wisdom tooth removed last week and if I hadn't been awake in the chair, I wouldn't even know the tooth was removed thanks to the care and skill Mark displayed during the procedure. I also got to keep the tooth!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had many issues with my teeth and gums over the course of my life amd was incredibly nervous about finding a new dentist. After a recommendation from a friend I thankfully found New Farm Dental Studio. I’ve been a patient of Mark’s for more than three years and can’t recommend him and his team highly enough. I was told by my previous dentist I would never be able to repair my damaged teeth and gums however Mark worked with me through this and last week I finally got my smile back after getting my veneers. This has been 35 years in the making and is something I never thought was possible. He is kind, considered and professional (and a perfectionist) and I now recommend him to all of my family and friends who’ve gotten discouraged or fear their dentist. You’re in good hands here.

Positive experience: Agree with the other comments that the service is great, however the pricing isn’t very transparent. I don’t have dental insurance so asked for a quote for a night splint at my first appointment and was told it could be done for $950. The cost ended up actually being $1230 which I did query, but was told the initial quote didn’t include the moulds or fitting. Given these weren’t optional extras I really think they should have been included in the initial quote.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mark Calvert is excellent. He identified a cracked filling and said I should get it replaced. I hate fillings but I took his advice; lucky I did. Decay had eroded under the filling all the way to the base of my tooth, just before the nerve…he saved me from another root canal. Thanks Mark! Also, he is a boss at local anaesthetic. I honestly hardly even noticed it.

I moved interstate a few months into the treatment and still continued to fly back to Brisbane for my monthly appointments. Dr. Mark explained everything wonderfully and in depth, and wasn't intimidating and rushed unlike other dental studios I've been too. The studio is a very calm space and is super accessible with public transport nearby as well as the Merthyr Village carparks. I'm going to miss not having a trustworthy dentist down here in Melbourne! I can't recommend New Farm Dental Studio enough :)
