Negative experience: Don’t bother going to this place. They do not disclose out-of-pocket costs before treatment, which is not legal. Their excuse was that you can claim it back from your health provider which not sure how much we can or cant. On top of that, the receptionist lady was extremely rude and repeatedly threatened to hang up the phone. When I asked her to stop threatening, she hung up. It’s clear they realised they had failed to disclose the out-of-pocket charges prior to treatment. Instead of apologising when this was pointed out, they chose to be rude and hang up.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and very clean and you don’t need to pay gap

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my insurance app was temporarily down, but I had clearly requested only a basic preventive cleaning. At my first appointment with Dr Kapadia, there was no discussion of the treatment plan or any cost estimates before a series of procedures were rushed into, reflecting a clear lack of transparency. I was overcharged for multiple procedures, resulting in significant out-of-pocket costs. Some preventive treatments were carried out without a clear explanation of whether they were necessary, and important information was not properly filled or documented. I then had to return for a second appointment for the basic cleaning with Dr Gill, who was fine, but again there were no upfront details provided about the procedures or cost estimates. Overall, the practice demonstrated a lack of transparency, with very poor communication and billing processes. I would not recommend this practice to new patients.

Negative experience: Do not recommend!! I have been visiting Pacific Smiles for years, getting regular cleanings every 6-8 months. The dentists there always assured me that my teeth were in good condition, so I felt comfortable seeing any dentist in the practice for my cleanings. However, my experience changed dramatically during a recent visit with Dr. Sonal Babbar. During my first visit with Dr. Babbar, she informed me that all my teeth were at risk of falling out due to a spreading gum disease and that I might be pre-diabetic. This was alarming news, as it was the first time I had ever heard such a diagnosis. Dr. Babbar printed out a treatment plan worth over $1000 without explaining any details about the proposed treatment and urged me to get it done as soon as possible. Frightened, I went to my doctor the next day for a blood test. Thankfully, I was told that all my levels were fine and that I was not at risk of pre-diabetes. In preparation for the expensive treatment, I called my insurance company to change my plan to cover more of the cost. The day before the procedure, I tried calling Pacific Smiles 2-3 times to get more information about what the procedure would entail, but no one answered. When I went in the next day, Dr. Babbar instructed me to sit in the chair without explaining the process. When I inquired, she mentioned she would need to numb one side of my mouth. This was a surprise to me, as I had not been informed about this aspect of the procedure during my initial visit. When I expressed my concerns about the lack of information provided, Dr. Babbar rudely argued with me, showing a complete lack of professionalism. She even accused me of lying about changing my insurance coverage and refused to acknowledge her mistake in not explaining the procedure beforehand. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Pacific Smiles. Despite being a long-time patient, none of the other dentists had ever mentioned that I was at risk of gum disease. To make matters worse, no one from the facility has contacted me to apologize or address the situation. It seems they are more interested in making money than caring for their patients. I would not recommend this place. Be careful and make sure you get second opinions before agreeing to any expensive treatment plans.

She did an awesome job keeping me calm throughout my provedure and talked me through every step of the way. Also, their receptionist (unsure of her name), was amazing to deal with, she was so polite and accommodating and easy to deal with. I would 100% recommend this dental practice!

Fantastic experience: The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I came and check for availabilities because i was suffering for 3 days already on my toothache. The receptionist was able to put me in an appointment on that day. The dentist was so professional and gave me options on what they can do to treat the pain. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and they really taken care well of me while doing the procedure. So happy that i am no longer suffering on my toothache.

Fantastic experience: The dental practice that looks clean, smells clean and staff are wonderful. Dr Yi-Xing Liew is the best dentist I have ever been to! He's very thorough when he cleans my teeth. He can stabilise his hands without anchoring onto my face. Me and my partner have been coming here every six months for our dental check ups. Never had any problems.

Negative experience: Very poor clinical service, reception and dental support excellent, however booked for a general check up, and the Dentist only looked at the right hand side of my mouth, wishing to discuss a potential problem area, all he wanted to do was palm me off to a specialist

Negative experience: I went to pacific smile blacktown for consultation..Dr did the checkup and she Charged me 200$ for checkup only..they don’t tell you the price before they slug you after the treatment. I would never going back there again.. that was really bad experience..

Negative experience: I had 4 tooth extraction done in lidcombe cost me 150 each. I went to pacific smile and DR Y. Liew Charged me 350 to extract a wiggle tooth. I only had 300 cash and they expected it. What a RIP off that why they don’t tell you the price so they slug you after the treatment. I would NEVER going back there again.

Negative experience: The receptionist (possibly from indian origin works on Saturdays) is unbelievably rude and has no people/customer skills. On top, somehow she thinks she is the doctor and advises what we should be doing. Although the doctor was suggesting something else. We did try to lodge a complaint against her, but didn't find any way to do so. There is no contact details available online to escalate this matter. We are not going back there. Hopefully the practice sees losing patients from here onward. With such unprofessional behaviour, customer doesn't feel invited in the centre. I hope the management understands that.

Negative experience: Charged me $60 just to look at my teeth and tell me I need new wire and to book another appointment that would cost $450 after telling me she would look at them without a cost

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is supposed to be a horror story, but not with Pacific Smiles and especially not with Dr Akhter, she is an absolute gem and with her treatments and advice I have seen a clear improvement in my dental hygiene and teeth/gum health. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Lovely dentists but be aware of the “hidden costs”... I forgave the added $250 on the first visit thinking perhaps i was not specific when i asked for a quote but was quoted $750 and paid $1000... second time though i was very specific, enough that they called me back to confirm and STILL THEY STOLE ANOTHER $100... First densure was loose and uncomfortable as well, only realised that when the second fitted great So 50% of visita gave great results And 100% of visits they charged more than quoted In a street with 10 dentists, choose another is my advice
