Fantastic experience: Dr Emad and his assistant Bhumi are a genuine DREAM TEAM! I've found it pretty much impossible to feel respected, treated with compassion, entertained, and properly informed in any prior dental visit, but Emad ensured from the moment he met me that he was committed to me as a person, and not just a job. I really want to give Bhumi a shout out too, always asking questions, anticipating Emad's next steps, and making sure everything was prepared properly, well in advance, and putting up with Emads jokes to keep me feeling comfortable. I am very grateful for the level of service, care, and professionalism I was treated with, and could not in good faith recommend any other dental team before this pair. They have my business for life.

From booking the appointment, to the warm welcome at reception, to the time in the chair and out the door again – everything felt easy, calm and seamless. Negative experience: Its a shame that the company is all about money making , had a filing actioned , return 3 days later (more pain that before (but could not see the dentist that did it as he was booked , so i could get it checked only , lady at a counter said if i booked the same dentist it was no charge as it was the dentist in the next room they charged me again for a 12mins check ,this is price gauging at it best , ill will let everyone i know about this , I did try nicely and I got the this is our policy . Im going to reportthis business .

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen Dr Ehmad and others here on multiple occasions and it’s some of the best medical care I’ve ever received. Not soulless robots looking to get you in and out. The general atmosphere at the clinic is friendly and I will be a repeated customer here! Love the care they take with check in calls after procedures and the staff are amazing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sam Huang is experienced and very informative! The dental work isn’t cheap, so it’s nice to have pleasant treatments from a great dentist! Dr Ramsey is very professional & efficient, which makes me happy to rebook!

Negative experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Ozberk. I had explained over the phone that it was not an emergency, but when I arrived, they told me it was just an “emergency appointment.” I tried to explain that I wanted to begin treatment to replace a front tooth that had turned black due to a damaged crown. However, it was clear that no one had read or understood what I had described over the phone. They said it may have been a communication issue, which I accept as I'm not a native English speaker — but the receptionist is not a dentist, and no one clarified anything before the appointment. Since I don’t have Medicare, I had to cover the cost myself. It was $71, and no one even looked inside my mouth. I come from a family of doctors and dentists, so I have some experience in the field. To close the appointment, I had to explain to the receptionist what forms I needed to see if Bupa could cover part of the cost — which I doubt they will. That was my experience. I don’t recommend this clinic. There was no real consideration given to the situation.

Negative experience: Have been attending this clinic for years. However, just recently got private health and discovered that Pacific Smiles charge private health patients an extra $100+ dollars. Had this confirmed by both my insurer and the practice (only after they’d blatantly lied when I first queried it). Unethical and taking complete advantage of customers… will be finding a new dentist

Negative experience: Just had a horrible experience. Was about to do a cosmetic Tatoo and call them about the numb. Decided to go there because I live just close by and the lady from reception told me to wait for about 10 minutes because they wasn’t busy at all. After nearly 30 minutes waiting she decide to tell me that unfortunately the dentist was busy so wouldn’t be able to see me. Was so upset because end up missing the appointment. They should be more organize and more professionals.

Fantastic experience: I visited Pacific Smiles Burleigh as it was recommended by my health insurance however I would recommend to anyone. Dr Chirag Patel was extremely thoughtful and kind. I have super sensitive teeth making dental cleans painful but he applied numbing gel and it made the whole experience better. He was also very knowledgeable and happy to answer all my questions.

Negative experience: Would never go back to this place. Terrible service with rude staff. I had an appointment booked 3 months in advance on the 29th Dec. I was called to say the dentist couldn't make it and changed to the 30th. Then got another call to tell me the dentist couldn't make it the day before. This was the last day to get my check up for the year through private insurance and I was told im best to go elsewhere. I have now lost my yearly allowance due to their incompetence and then sold to find another dentist to rectify the issue. Atrocious service

Fantastic experience: Pacific Smiles in Burleigh Heads is one of the best practices I’ve ever been too, staff are super friendly, welcoming and the dentists are very experienced. I have had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Tarek - he made me feel so relaxed and talked me through everything so well, he was very knowledgeable and I felt so confident being in his capable hands! He is the best in the area for extractions so if you think you need one definitely book with him! I had my two front teeth fixed by Dr Jennifer Bhuta and they look amazing! I’m so happy with them and they’ve lasted over a year so far - i appreciated the fact she didn’t rush it until she felt it was perfect. She did exactly what I wanted and she explained everything to me before starting any treatment. Her surgery had a very relaxed atmosphere which I liked and she also took time to have a little chit chat before and after! She’s a fab dentist! If you need your teeth cleaned or fixed i highly recommended coming here, you’ll never look back

Fantastic experience: As nerve-racking as it is to get a tooth removed, the staff at Pacific Smiles Dental in Burleigh were very professional and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process! I went to see Dr Tarek around 3 months ago to have a lower wisdom tooth removed and the appointment was a breeze. He not only talked me through the process every step of the way, but was also very good at explaining my after care instructions to follow and it ended up healing as quickly as expected. The staff at Pacific Smiles are very accommodating and followed up with me the day after my procedure to see how I was going and if I had any further questions. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: As a self confessed dentist avoider, after 5 years I unfortunately decided it was time to bite the bullet and get an exam, scale and clean just to make sure all was well with my teeth. I saw Dr Jen Bhuta and she put me right at ease from the moment I walked in. She was super friendly and approachable. She answered all my questions and even took the time to take photos of inside my mouth to show me what she was talking about. She was extremely gentle and I would recommend her to anyone. Maybe I won’t be so scared to go back now that I’ve had a good experience.

Fantastic experience: My Family and I have been coming to Pacific Smiles Dental in Burleigh for a few years now. We have recently had a change to Dr Jennifer Bhuta as our dentist, she also completed a crown on my smile line which is fantastic. She always makes us feel very comfortable ad she is very lovely. I brought my 3year old in for his first check up and she was great, did't pressure him and kept a relaxed and happy vibe the whole experience. The dentist is one of my absoulte hates but coming here knowing that I have Dr Jennifer Bhuta always makes the experience a little less daunting :)

Negative experience: Dont use this company. Most inexperienced dentists with the most condescending office staff I've ever experienced. My husband went to get a check up and clean, which ended in the dentist telling him he needed a crown (which he does) They then had him sign a consent form to crown over the top of an infected root and they will "see how it goes". Had him pay a $300 deposit. He then called as soon as he left the practice and advised he thinks he should get the root canal fixed first. The dentist called him back, shamed and be-littled him and told him she's now out of pocket and "thanks a lot" for changing his mind and said the moulds had already gone to the lab. (this was 10 minutes after he left the practice) Wouldnt give the deposit back or even a receipt as an extended consultation so he could claim back on his Health Insurance. Ive been in the Heath Insurance Industry for 18 years and am pretty sure I'm right to recommend you steer clear of Pacific Smiles. This was at Burleigh Heads.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service, I went in for a filling and was left with a noticeably chipped front tooth which the dentist denied and they gave me 4 fillings in total, the dentist was so rough and hurt me several times by poking and stabbing sharp instruments into my mouth unexpectedly, they also kept bumping all my front teeth with a metal instrument while drilling into my back teeth, they then overcharged my poor Mum for over $1000 of expenses lucky I had some health cover but there was about $200 difference that she had to pay and now my teeth are in so much pain and they were fine beforehand and I can’t even drink cold water now... I’m not happy at all. I wish I went to another dentist I’m now left unable to drink water or even eat properly weeks after the appointment meaning it’s permanent damage.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just relocated to the GC after seeing my previous dentist for the last 10 years, and saw Dr. Hedge for a checkup and was really happy with the quality of service. He was very professional and informative, explaining everything he did throughout the appointment. I’ll definitely be going back in future!

Negative experience: Problem with Pacific Smiles Dental and health care funds seem to be a recurrent issue! Before having my dental check I talked with them on the phone and specifically said "just double checking that iam covered for a free dental check up and clean with Bupa"...reply "yes when you come tomorrow we can double check that for you". In fact they double check, but only after the service is done! Result: I had to still pay because they are not a Bupa Members First. Why not tell me this on the phone or even when i got there? Very dishonest and very little consideration for their patients.

Negative experience: My wife and I have regular check ups every six months. After recently moving to the Gold Coast we went to Pacific Smiles Burleigh for a checkup. We were advised by the dentist that we both needed large amounts of work amounting to several thousand dollars in total. We were not happy with this advice given that we had no outstanding problems at our last checkup. My wife sought a second opinion from another dentist and was told the dental work was not required! Be very carefull!

Fantastic experience: I think people claiming they were lied to maybe just didn't understand what they were entitled to and should be blaming their health cover not the dentist. Got offered a free check up and clean from my health fund and went here cause why not sounded good. On arriving the dentist told me I also should have x-rays done as my health fund would also cover it once a year and I was like really they never told me that are you sure, because I didn't want any hidden charges. But she said yes it was free and did them and everything else and I walked out not paying a cent for $200+ worth of work done. Will definitely be going back

Negative experience: Do not go here! I received a call stating that I was due for a check up/clean with their no-gap promotion with various health funds meaning it was free. After going there, checking again it was going to be free and being told multiple times it was no gap I got the clean and the check up. When I went to claim I found out that it actually wasn't covered at all and ended up having to pay $220 gap! I am a student and this is extremely expensive for me. I was informed that it is a patients liability to "know their cover" however they should never have called me in the first place and have given false information if they are unsure of the various health funds cover themselves!

Fantastic experience: Great service, flexible hours and very good equipment. I've chosen Pacific Smiles Dental due to flexible hours and so could have my appointment on Sundays. Dr. Shehab Faragalla - very experienced - and his helper were great and very attentive. I'm happy with the results and will definitely be back.

Negative experience: I'm currently in Thailand for dental work after yet again receiving a ridiculously expensive quote from Pacific smiles. They said I needed 2 root canal treatments/crown's, one of which was a specialist job and also 2 small fillings. The quote from them was just under $9,000!!! This is my 3rd trip to Thailand to BIDC after receiving extortionate quotes from very young dentists at Pacific smiles. Yet again my dentist here has confirmed I don't need all the work they have said and don't need ANY root canal. I have had the 2 small fillings and the "specialist" root canal wasnt needed, just a large amalgam filling removed and crowned. This has cost me a total of $970. The dentist I use here was trained at Masechusis, ranked 4th top dental university in the world. The practice is modern and service is exceptional. STAY AWAY from Pacific smiles, they can only be described as underqualified scammers. Anyway a free holiday for me, pain free and happy! I will be finding a new dentist on my return to the Gold Coast.
