Fantastic experience: Exceptional. The practice manager was incredibly accommodating, she went out of her way to fit myself and my daughter in. I had my first appointment with Dr Sue, and l would say the most relaxed and professional clean l have ever had. Definitely recommend this practice.

Positive experience: I recently went here to get my teeth done before going to an endodontist, they were lovely staff however when I saw the endodontist the next day they said my teeth weren’t cleaned properly and they still have plaque on my teeth, and when I left the dentist I even felt as though they weren’t cleaned to the best of there ability as my teeth were rough at the back. Overall I had a really good experience. but I wouldn’t recommend going there if you want a proper good clean :) this isn’t me saying anything bad on them this is just the truth and what I have been told and I feel as though it’s my responsibility to make that clear for people who want a good cleaning. And to clarify the lady said it’s normal for it too feel rough afterwards because I asked her if it was but then I had been told the next day as I said previously that they weren’t cleaned properly. Fantastic experience: Extremely satisfied with the service I’ve received at this clinic. I’ve seen Dr Lee multiple times (check up/cleaning and teeth whitening treatment) and always had a great experience. She is calm, gentle and provides clear explanations about what she does. The receptionist (Mandy) is always friendly and professional too.

Negative experience: I had my teeth cleaned there and it was the roughest clean I’ve ever had. Left my gums sore for days. The older female receptionist was also rude. Won’t be going back.

Positive experience: Good dentists. If you have to make appointments for kids, it may be best to go into the office as it can take some time. I booked a 40 min appointment for myself and the dentist only wanted to give me 20 mins - I had to explain that I couldn't come back, and wanted the full time to complete the work, which the dentist did do.

Negative experience: I am absolutely appalled by the treatment and service I received at Pacific Smiles Balgowlah. I arrived 5 minutes early for my 1:30pm appointment and was told “you won’t start till 1:30 because they’re on lunch break.” That was fine — I knew my appointment was at 1:30. But after waiting until 1:40, I politely asked the receptionist if the dentist would be finishing their break soon, as I have a newborn at home that I needed to feed. The receptionist responded in an incredibly rude and condescending manner, saying their break was “more important.” I was shocked. I explained that if the dentist couldn’t see me soon I would have to leave because my baby is only 1 month old. Instead of showing any understanding, she continued to be dismissive and condescending. When the dentist finally came out, she seemed annoyed that I even had an appointment during her “break.” She immediately insisted I do an x-ray. I explained that while I normally would have been fine with that, I couldn’t this time because the appointment had already run late and I needed to get home. She became visibly irritated and kept insisting, not listening at all to my situation. During the check-up, she also made unnecessary, rude comments about my tongue injury, insisting it was an ulcer in a disgusted tone even after I explained I had bitten it. She then told me I “needed fillings right now” and was angry when I declined, despite me clearly saying I needed to leave. The receptionist also made it clear she was unhappy when I didn’t rebook for the fillings. This entire experience left me feeling upset, disrespected, and completely disregarded — especially as a first-time mum, already sleep-deprived and managing limited time away from my baby. It felt like their only concern was money, not patient care. To make matters worse, I went for a second opinion and was told I did NOT need any fillings at all. A friend later shared she had the same experience here, being pressured into unnecessary treatments. Absolutely disgraceful service. Avoid this clinic at all costs

Dr. Rios has a way of putting you instantly at ease - calm, precise and with an attention to detail that leaves you feeling thoroughly looked after. I felt confident I was in good hands and wont hesitate to book in again.

Fantastic experience: I am an extremely nervous patient and i was very anxious about a widsom tooth removal. Dr Rios was just fantastic and explained the whole process. The anaesthesia and laughing gas meant i didn't feel a thing and felt completely relaxed during the procedure. Highly recommend Dr Rios for anyone nervous about dental work!

Negative experience: Read good reviews on Google but had the worst dental experience. Aggressive in communication, rough actions, aggressive use of anesthetic that all made me feel sick. Anesthetic stayed for 6 hours and having tooth and gum pain once the numbness is gone. Complaints sent to [email protected] but no response.

Fantastic experience: Dr Deborah Kwan has been my dentist since she worked at Hyde Park Medical Centre years ago and I've since followed her here. She's always been very thoughtful, knowledgeable and experienced with emergencies so I know I'm taken care of when I see her for routine cleans and procedures. I'm grateful that she meticulously redid my permanent root canal filling in the same visit after seeing a tiny 0.5mm gap on the xray between the filling and gums which seems tiny, but she explained my tooth would last longer with a deeper packed in filling. Thank you Deborah for being so precise with your work, taking care of my worries and my teeth!

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist Ever! I highly recommend Dr Juan Camilo Rios Lopez and his dental nurse Di. I have been to numerous dentists, orthodontists, and dental surgeons for the past seven years, and I have never been so pleased after an appointment - that goes for my routine cleans and my wisdom teeth extractions. I experience great anxiety at dentists, even for a checkup, and my pain threshold is the lowest of the low - so you can probably imagine my fears for wisdom tooth surgery yesterday. Dr Rios has been the only dentist to make me feel completely safe and calm, not to mention his professional and friendly service, amazing attentive care and skilful dental work. Negative experience: REALLY MY PARTNER HAD A TOOTH EXTRACTED AND WAS ASKED ( AS THE Anaesthetic) wouldn't work. Was asked if he was on illicit drugs! I mean really! My partner is completely t total and does not take any sort of drugs! Thefore went home in pain! I used to go here but never again! Disgusting service

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Pacific Smiles and Dr. Camilo Rios enough! Last week Camilo removed / extracted my wisdom tooth. I've had three removals with three different dentists and Camilo was the best - extraction was pain free and the sutures / mouth look great.

Negative experience: In my recent visit, fees had increased by 20% (as a result of removing GAP payments). The receptionist struggled to process our payment and I ended up spending more time at the front counter than I had been in the dental chair. Not once did I get an apology for the inconvenience or delay, I was just told repeatedly that it was not the receptionist fault. Very disappointing experience, I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: I took my 2 year old for her first dental check, the staff were so lovely and friendly, the receptionist was very good with my daughter by keeping her occupied in the waiting room. The dentist and the dental assistant made my daughter feel very comfortable when she was in the chair. I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a good dentist.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Booked in and waiting at 9:00am. At 9:15 was told the dentist was still not there and was going to be 35 mins late. I was asked if I could reschedule. Being late December I wanted to use my health care before it restarted in the new year and asked if seeing as though I was already there could they not bump another patient who perhaps had a later appointment? But no, couldn’t do it. Realistically if a dentist can’t be professional enough to get into the surgery before 10am then I probably don’t want them working on me anyway. I won’t be going back.
