Fantastic experience: TLDR: Dr Muna is fantastic! Zero pain root canal! After my first root canal procedure several years ago I was very anxious about having another. It was deemed a failure by the dentist who attempted it as he was unable to fully extract all the roots. It was also deemed a failure by me as it was, and still is, the most painful experience of my life! I ended up requiring a surgical extraction leaving me with a gap at the upper back side of my mouth as I wasn’t prepared to pay around $5k for an implant outside my simile line. I shared my anxieties with Dr Muna at our consult where she said “I don’t do pain. It’s not good for you and it’s not good for me”. After X-rays and a CT scan she fully explained the planned procedure, the potential risks, the costs and the intricacies of my 4 nerve canals, generously suggesting this may have been the cause of the previous failure. Consult + scans cost $490. The root canal procedure 2 weeks later went ahead to completion without issue. Temporary (albeit severe) pain for the two local anaesthetic injections and some mild discomfort at the back of my head from the headrest were the only minor complaints. All four canals were fully cleared despite the identified intricacies, on top of some very narrow and tricky canals (Dr Muna “enjoyed the challenge”). The stretchy rubber ‘drape’ they placed around the tooth whilst they were working was a godsend! It prevented the usual half drowned, half sick feeling you get from all the cleaning fluid, debris and water required for such a procedure. Genius! Cost $2900. Less than 48hrs pot-op I’m left with a dull throb that doesn’t even require Panadol to manage. I’m very optimistic about the success of the procedure. Now to wait a few weeks before going back to my new dentist for the pennant filling and crown. Thanks again Dr Muna!!!

Fantastic experience: I have had three root canals with Dr Rahimi at Chatswood in 2010, 2011 and 2013. I was initially referred by my dentist, who advised Dr Rahimi is one of the best endodontists in the country and that he also undertakes teaching / speaking to dentists and endodontists about root canals. Whilst this review is 15 years in the making, I am happy to report that my three teeth have held up well.

Fantastic experience: I had root canal treatment with Dr Rahimi, and for someone who is petrified of the dentist, the experience was pain free and done with such care. He was extremely professional, with a friendly and caring manner and explained the process in great detail. He was constantly checking in to make sure I was ok during the treatment and had his team follow up the next day to check in on me. I’d highly recommend Dr Rahimi for any dental work.

Fantastic experience: I find Dr Muna Al-Ali highly skilled like Swiss clockwork, professional, of excellent work standards and very pleasant to communicate with. Her caring team is very friendly and helpful. To my amazement there was no actual pain during two separate root canal treatments I had over the past 6 months. Both teeth settled down as expected without further complications. There was an elephant in my head regarding the amount of pain these treatments would cause. That elephant turned out to be a little squirrel of discomfort, not pain. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A root canal treatment and I loved it? Well I didn't love it but it was good and painless, definitely even on the path to pleasant. Mehdi Rahimi lived up to the gentle dental name and his staff in Double Bay worked to produce a relaxing environment. I could actually smile at the end too. So far so good, crown at Eco Dental Glebe on Monday, fingers crossed.

Fantastic experience: Edited some typos, but this was written in late 2024: I have just finished my third appointment with A. Prof Mehdi Rahimi. I was referred to him with 3 abcesses on 3 different teeth and needed 3 root canals and my bone had a big hole in it above 2 of the abcesses that were next to each other. He has saved my teeth, one may not last long-term due to so much being ruined before I saw him, but that one is okay for now and the other two are saved and he has spotted another that needs a filling and Im going to go to a new dentist for that filling and it may need a root canal, but A. Prof Rahimi has caught a lot of things that were missed by my previous dentist. I have a phobia of dentists and drills and he, his assistant/s and Reception staff are all so kind, caring and considerate. They made it such a great experience and I will be going back in 9 months for follow-up to check on my bone healing, which has healed out of sight thanks to the wonderful treatment. His gentleness and the other staffs gentleness really helped with my anxiety, which was severe the first appointment. I used the gas and listened to Taylor Swift in the appointment and that was very helpful. This last time, on the tv in reception there was something with fish playing and it was very calming. Thank you again for saving my smile, my teeth and my health. See you all again in 2025.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Dr Paul Nakad :) the best way I can describe him was that he was very thorough, gave clear instructions, was clear on pricing, and was warm in his approach. I got a root canal done on a molar which even my dentist was worried to treat as this problem has been ongoing for over a year. I spoke with different dentists and hygienists (all who have been helpful and friendly), but no one diagnosed the issue like Dr Paul did. I have a lot of anxiety around dental related things.. so if you have something similar and need someone who is caring and skilled, I would recommend Dr Paul :) I’m really grateful to have been treated by him

Fantastic experience: As someone with debilitating anxiety and previous trauma’s regarding endontic and orthodontic procedures at other clinics, I cannot recommend this place enough. Dr Rahimi was so patient and kind throughout the entire process. From the beginning I had a very unique and complicated case, and feared the worst with having to have two of my front facing teeth removed. Dr Rahimi used all his skillset to instead adopt another pathway that would see me keeping the teeth. On the day of the appointment he was completely thorough with explaining the process, provided every detail and eased any concerns. Both him and the lovely dental assistant I was with were so compassionate during the surgery, and made sure I wouldn’t even notice the needle. During the surgery they both consistently checked in on me and were super encouraging. Any anxiety I had coming into the appointment was completely alleviated during the procedure (albeit the happy gas helped too lol). The staff at the reception have also been so lovely to correspond with during this entire process. Thank you Dr Rahimi and the team, it’s been such a pleasure to have worked with you guys!

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency root canal in my 7th month of pregnancy and could not find any willing doctor. By God’s grace I found Gentle Endodontics Dr Tasmania. They kindly gave me an appointment the very next day and accommodated me during after hours. In one sitting he fixed my tooth root canal, tooth and gum infection. By next morning, I had no infection at all. Highly recommend Dr Tasmania and his extremely kind and helpful dental assistant. The receptionist also called to check in on me after a week. Great place for dental treatments.

As someone who has a complex. jaw/dental and mouth opening issues, he is gentle and works around the jaw issues when doing root canals, in order to minimize any pain. His work is outstanding . The whole experience from entering the surgery until your treatment is completed is done with such care, thoughtfulness, honesty, genuineness, and professionalism from each and every staff member that you feel very welcome and at ease. Fantastic experience: Amazing team, from the receptionists and nurses to the endodontists. Dr Muna removed a broken instrument lodged in one root of one of my molars, it was a difficult procedure due to the way the particular root curved but she is very skilled and got it out. She talked to me, explaining what she was doing the whole time which I found really reassuring. The nurses are very comforting and caring. The whole team really focus on patient care and did a lot of little things that really demonstrated this. Highly recommend!!

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend Dr Mehdi Rahimi. His attitude and approach to patients and his staff is extremely disrespectful. He is extremely rude and arrogant. The staff at the Double Bay clinic are very friendly and pleasant they do not deserve to be spoken to by Dr Rahimi in the manner I witnessed. If you can’t treat your staff with respect it says a lot about your personal and professionally values.
Negative experience: Worst endodontist ever!!!! And his root canal treatment for the back teeth fail after 3 years! And charged me around $3700!

This center has very professional staff and well-equipment that I could see all the procedures of treatment in the kindly and relaxed environment. Thanks everyone especially Dr. Mehdi Rahimi. Fantastic experience: The endodontic retreatment with Dr. Mehdi Rahimi was the best dental experience that I have ever had. I had the root channel treatment previously with the other doctor but my tooth did not heal at all with lots of pain. There was a little chance of surviving this tooth as I asked other doctor. But Dr. Rahimi could save it professionally and unbelievably without any pain in all procedures (even in injection)!!! Beside lots of advanced equipment, up-to-date methods (like using nitrous oxide for reducing pain and anxiety), and calm environment with supportive staff, He explained all steps kindly and professionally that I cloud lie down without any worry and listen to music until he told me that treatment was finished and even after the effect of anesthesia injection wore off, I was able to eat easily and painlessly without any inflammation. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at this practice. Saw Dr. Tasmania. Did my lower second molar root canal treatment in a single visit. Did not feel any pain afterwords. Negative experience: Called reception to ask for a quote. Mind you, the lady on the phone Karen wasn't that nice. First off, she mentioned there was nothing available until November? And then was quoted $400 for consultation and roughly $2800 to repair tooth. Karen mentioned that could be more than that depending on the state of my ONE tooth and that it still wasn't guaranteed because it could be several appointments i'd have to attend which was roughly $200 per visit? No thanks, i'd rather have it pulled out.
Fantastic experience: The receptionists (Karen and Mina) were welcoming and so helpful with every query that I had. I appreciated that they notified me a week in advance about the details of my appointment and any preparation I needed to do prior (e.g., a COVID-19 test). Dr Garima Sharma is amazing and always provided me with the best medical advice when it came to my root canal treatment. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to get this procedure done!

Customer service was excellent and beyond rating, follow up was amazing and to top it up she made an appointment for me at another of their branches for ease of convenience. Fantastic experience: I had a double root canal done this week with Dr. Tasmania. I couldn't praise Dr. Tasmania and the staff more. He was extremely patient and gentle during the whole procedure. The reception and assisting staff were equally as wonderful and Caren in particular did everything she could to get me seen to as soon as possible. Negative experience: Im extremely disappointed at this place, I had an appointment with Dr Tasmania. I only had a referral for 2 teeth but I asked him yo have look at the other one because I was in pain he was so cranky at me because he inly had time for 2 teeth! After that he inly explained everything in 2 minutes made me so uncomfortable that I couldn’t ask any questions and yet he charged me $400 just for consultation,I don’t think a plastic surgeon would charge this much. Im glad I find a better place to go to and would not recommend this place and this Doctor to anyone!
Negative experience: After having having my teeth knocked by a specialist working here, I left with worse tooth pains than I entered with. These have not subsided since my appointment moths ago. The doctor was also extremely rude and inconsiderate when I was explaining how I felt. She belittled me and made me feel very uncomfortable.

I went for IV Sedation due to dental dam fear,my experience was made relaxing by experienced Dr.Rahimi and Dr.Vallari together with nurse and courteous reception staff. Fantastic experience: I suffer from anxiety when visiting the dentist. I went in for a consultation and afterwards the reception staff were amazing. Reassuring that everything will be ok. Even had a laugh about while I was there. On the day of procedure, everyone was accomodating and patient. All staff were caring and supportive. Leading up to my procedure, staff called me to make sure I was ok and likewise post procedure, highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr Mehdi Rahimi and his associates/team for root canal treatments especially to anyone that has anxiety about seeing the dentists. They truly saved me from agony today. His reception staff were so helpful and so caring, he himself was super gentle and made me feel at ease. But he also injects using this pain free injection and I felt nothing not even a prick. I am so grateful to Gentle Endodontics for fitting me in on such short notice and for all their kind care and attention. I can't say I hope to be back but if I have to this is the only clinic I'm willing to come back to.
