They will take there time with you and ask the right questions to make sure you are comfortable with all procedures. Sarah the office DA behind reception is super friendly and helpful and an absolute asset for the front face of the clinic. Happy smiles all round :)

From my first phone call to Leah on behalf of a struggling family member to my misadventure this year requiring significant dental work, Dr Matthew Cohen and his team have been consistently welcoming, professional and kind. Most importantly, I have felt completely impressed and reassured by Dr Cohen's expertise, and his commitment to the best outcomes for both the short-term and the long-term. He explains everything clearly - and his humour goes a long way in calming nerves!

Fantastic experience: I had been living with pain in my mouth for some time, but didn't realise how bad it was until I decided to visit Happy Smiles Dentist at the recommendation of a friend. Dr Cohen showed enormous empathy with my anxiety about dental work and explained every step of the process of fixing the issues I had. I could not recommend this practise in Hornsby highly enough. The entire team are so kind, professional and lovely.

Fantastic experience: Both my husband and I have been with Dr. Matthew Cohen for many years. The bottom of my teeth was biting my upper gum, which caused numbness every morning. Dr. Cohen suggested that I undergo Invisalign treatment, which would solve my problem and give me a better smile. Invisalign offers a comfortable and nearly invisible alternative to traditional braces. Over 18 months, I saw significant improvement with the clear aligners, which were smooth and didn’t irritate my gums. The aligners are removable, making eating and oral hygiene easier, though they must be worn 20-22 hours daily; you get used to it quickly. Overall, I am so glad I took Dr. Cohen’s suggestion. The treatment was very successful—now both my upper and lower teeth are aligned, and I no longer have food sticking problems. They look very healthy. More importantly, Dr. Matthew Cohen and his team are very welcoming and professional, and Dr. Cohen’s sense of humor makes the dental visit very relaxing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Cohen is the first dentist who our very dentist-shy six year old has warmed to immediately. I cannot recommend him enough, especially if you have small children who are a bit wary of the dentist. Our four year old had also seen him recently and she keeps asking to go back for more sparkly toothpaste. Reception and the dental nurses have all been wonderful as well. Safe to say, we’ve now moved the whole family over to Happy Smiles!

Fantastic experience: I highly reccomend this dentist. Extremely thorough, gentle and with a high level of expertise and experience. Also, absolutely the best dentist for kids. Again so gentle and fully equipped to cater for children, with a TV on the roof, soft toys to hold and a package for first time kids. We had Matthew and he was so good with my daughter.

Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased with my recent implant work to replace my dental bridge. Matthew took considerable time to step me through the various options, costs and outcomes. Whilst more expensive than some other treatments, I decided to take the implant option for my bridge replacement as I wanted a permanent option, as opposed to dentures. I'm very pleased with the results of the treatment and would highly recommend Happy Smiles Dentist. The staff are all lovely and help make you really feel at ease.

Positive experience: Usual dental service that you will get from most places! Had a check up and clean here and job was OK. There are many stains left on different teeth so was not a perfect job! Claim through HICCAP didn't work and receptionist mentioned it doesn't work with GU Health (Something I never had an issue before). Friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years due to dental anxiety. I then experienced a dental emergency which Happy Smiles accommodated for it to be addressed the next day. Staff were extremely empathetic, patient and competent which made returning for serious dental work a much more manageable task. I now feel comfortable returning for regular dental work/check-ups knowing I can trust Matt and the staff to look after my dental needs in a kind and caring way. As I required some major work ie an extraction, bone graft, bridge & 2 crowns, Dr. Mattthew Cohen suggested IV sedation. I’m so glad I gave it a try. I was very scared to get my wisdom tooth extracted as I never had a tooth extraction before, but Dr Matthew was amazing at putting me at ease and making me feel comfortable. Such a wonderful experience compared to the horror stories usually associated with extraction.Totally recommend getting any dental work or extraction done here as you are in very good hands. Fantastic experience: I come from a generation that only went to the dentist unless it was absolutely necessary, such as a broken tooth or a hole. Over the past month I have endured a painful loose tooth and sore gums. Like a typical man I figured some gargle would clear it up. I had my good days and bad and with Christmas just around the corner I booked an appointment with Happy Smiles so see what was happening. That was yesterday. I'm a wimp when it comes to seeing a dentist, but Matthew and his staff made me feel relaxed and explained exactly what was going inside and what my options were, moving forward. In the end I ended up with three procedures, two of which were extractions. I have now booked in for a check up every 6 month and a program to keep the teeth I have with regular visits and cleans. Thank you to Matthew and staff for fixing me up and giving me peace of mind so I can enjoy the Christmas holidays with a smile.

Within a couple of hours of calling I was in his cabinet and couldn’t have asked for a more professional and caring dentist. Even the charges were very reasonable. Fantastic experience: I recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Cohen. He was fantastic at explaining the procedure to me, and although I was initially wary from hearing all the horror stories about wisdom teeth removal, I decided to have the procedure to avoid problems and complications in the future. The staff at the SAN day surgery were so lovely and I felt completely comfortable and safe for the entire experience. I had virtually no swelling or pain after the procedure and only had to take minimal pain medication. Was not the horrible experience most make it out to be, and was almost completely recovered after a few days. Would absolutely recommend Dr Cohen and happy smiles for your general check ups, and procedures!

Fantastic experience: Dr Mathew Cohen offers an incredible service, helping me to maintain great dental health as well as tackling more difficult problems. I recently had a dental implant performed by Dr Cohen which was painless and probably one of the best decisions that I had made regarding dental work. I have had no discomfort and am able to chew properly for the first time since I lost my tooth. It also feels natural and cosmetically is perfect. I feel fortunate to have finally found a dental practice that I can trust .
