Fantastic experience: Good communication and gentle. Less pain. Excellent results.

Negative experience: My tooth was slightly chipped. I saw Dr Harry for what was supposed to be a simple filling. Before the filling, Dr Harry checked my nerve and confirmed clearly that my nerve was healthy and there was no infection at all. I also told him that I had eaten lunch and had not brushed my teeth. He said he would clean the tooth before treatment, but no cleaning was done. There was also no mouth rinse at any point during the procedure. The filling took about one and a half hours, and I was in severe pain the entire time. After the filling, my tooth became extremely sensitive to cold and pain. I couldn’t chew or eat anything at all. One week later, and even after two weeks, the swelling and pain did not go down. I contacted the clinic and was asked to come back. During that visit, Dr Harry ground the treated tooth about several times, without clearly explaining why. After that, myfron tooth was literally reduced to about half its original size. So I eventually I saw a specialist(special X- ray) I was then diagnosed with a serious infection and nerve damage. So I had to undergo big surgery (root canal treatment)it was soososo painful for an hour, and my healthy nerve was lost completely. This period was extremely painful and traumatic for me, both physically and mentally. Despite all of this, when I went to see Dr Harry again, he never saidvsorry and denied any responsibility and said he had done nothing wrong, claiming that fillings always carry risks. There was no accountability or empathy. He was not hygiene for clinic and skills so I lost a lots from him and they said only can refund filling fees $500 something I don't remember it was cost more than $ 500 for filling I have more damaged mentally and physically also lost work 6 day for two people to visited here and specialist I have already spent over $3,000, and I will need to spend around another $3,000 for a crown, plus ongoing future care. If this filling had been done properly, I would be living normally and enjoying food. Instead, I have been unable to chew, living with constant pain, extreme stress, and financial burden for nearly two months. This experience has caused me enormous physical pain, emotional distress, and financial loss. I have evidences everything what's wrong..... I am very sorry to say this, but I do not recommend Pacific Smiling Dentist or Dr Harry.

Negative experience: Didn’t even get to see a dentist - the receptionist was so hopeless we left after standing there for 10 minutes without any form of acknowledgement. She was very busy chatting with a lady. There were other people floating about who I think were also on reception, but they had no interest in helping either. A poor experience, but easy to fix, hopefully this feedback will help.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 veneers done today with Dr Gupta, so happy with the result. My 2 front bottom teeth were chipped & I had them filled in before but they were never great. I cannot be happier with Dr Gupta’s work to make the teeth look perfect again. She’s a master, I cannot rate her high enough. Very reasonably priced too, good price too with health fund.

Negative experience: I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your clinic involving my daughter’s dental appointment. I received a call from your receptionist to remind me that my daughter was due for a check-up, and we agreed to schedule the appointment for Saturday. However, early that morning around 6:00 AM, my daughter became unwell. Since the clinic was not yet open, I immediately sent a text message to inform you of the situation and cancel the appointment as courteously and promptly as I could. Later, I received a call from the receptionist, during which I was spoken to in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. I was told I had made an online booking and cancelled within 15 minutes, which I believe may have been a misunderstanding. Despite this, I sincerely apologised and kindly asked if we could reschedule. Unfortunately, the conversation was abruptly ended with the explanation that you were too busy with other clients. My family and I have been regular patients at your clinic, but this experience has left us feeling undervalued and disappointed with the level of service and communication. As a result, we’ve decided to seek dental care elsewhere. Thank you for your previous care, and I wish your team continued success.

Fantastic experience: The team maintained a high level of professionalism even after a long procedure of an unwilling wisdom tooth extraction, kept me updated throughout this period, made me feel at ease, and gave me lots of after procedure instructions to take home in a lovely folder. Negative experience: Medical appointments are very limited at present and everyone want early appointments, we all know that. This place has tried to work to manage it but completely failed. I booked an appointment for my husband about 2 weeks before the appointment date. I got 3 text messages to confirm the appointment stating currently appointments are limited so non-confirmation would result in cancellation. The last 2 messages being sent the morning before the appointment. I sent yes as a reply within an hour from the text message. No any update before we attended the clinic and then when we reach the clinic we are told that the appointment was cancelled the evening before. What actually went wrong? I can understand why this process was in place but why is the system not receiving all the messages that it is meant to receive resulting in the non-confirmation of appointment that mean the staff will cancel it without checking with the patient. Next if you have decided to go ahead with cancellation the appointment, should you not be notifying the client about it in similar way you ask cancellation? Should I have received the cancellation notification yesterday I would have contacted immediately to inform you that I have sent confirmation message and I would not turn up for an appointment that the staff cancelled. I think the main aim of this initial process was great but it ended up making the life of consumer worse because you are relaying in a mode of communication that is not great

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with this dental practice. I booked a new patient appointment for a check-up and clean, which cost $270. However, Dr. A Gupta only cleaned my upper palate and then asked me to book another appointment for my lower palate—effectively doubling the cost for a full service. When I raised my concerns with the practice manager, she assured me that she would look into the issue and get back to me. I have followed up twice, but she has been evading my calls. It has now been three weeks, and I have received no response.

Manager Charlotte does not take responsibilities and the dentists are purely for money making. Do not have a professional attitude to provide appropriate service for the money they charge. Never recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: The team at Woden are amazing. I struggle like most don’t like going to a dentist however from my experience with the team there made me feel comfortable and intelligent. From the front reception to the dentist then cycle is on point in managing time, expectations and results. I highly recommend the team in Woden if you need help at all. Thank you again and I will be a repeating customer as it has been the best experience I have had in Canberra.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a teeth cleaning appointment with Dr. Jeffery Sun, and I can't recommend him enough! Even though it was just a routine check-up and cleaning covered by my private insurance, Dr. Sun provided exceptional care. He was incredibly patient and gentle during the cleaning, making the whole experience comfortable. Dr. Sun also took the time to show me how to properly clean my teeth and recommended some great products to maintain oral health. He explained my wisdom teeth and tooth decay condition thoroughly, ensuring I understood everything. The boutique services provided were excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffery Sun for anyone looking for top-notch dental care!

Fantastic experience: I Really enjoyed my experience. I am not a fan of dentists (like most people) but the staff there were super welcoming and the dentist and dental assistant were super accommodating and acknowledged my concerns and helped make the experience bearable. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Had a filling done. It started showing a ridge and stain accumulating in there after 7 months. Even though the dentist told me that I have been cleaning very well. Came in to have it fixed and they still charged for it even though it was a job not done well the first time. They said it is not covered after 3 months. It only started showing after 3 months so I couldn’t have come back within 3 months. A filling should be expected to last for longer than that. Just unreasonable policy. Not coming back here again. This place spends less time and care with each person compared to before. Very disappointed!

Negative experience: I had a very bad interaction with Dr. Harry Patel. He is rude and the only thing he cares about is money, he was talking about money and charging the whole time when I was there. He talks very fast which confuses people and it is impossible to understand him and his only motive for this is to get his client and job over with for the day. Although I will admit, he was right about the case of my teeth but he did not have to be so rude about it. Because of his behavior I had to cancel all my future appointments with him.

Negative experience: Good dentists - rude receptionist. Had an appointment booked for 9am this morning. But then last night at 1am my toddler got sick, so I found myself at the ED until 5am. Exhausted, I decided to send them through a text saying I wasn’t going to make my appointment. The receptionist called me at 9:05, asking where I was. When I explained that situation, an appropriate response would have been to demonstrate some empathy and then hang up, because from my voice it was clear I was still half asleep. Instead, she told me off for sending a text and not calling to let them know I wouldn’t make it. Excuse me: I’m an adult. And a paying customer. I don’t have to tolerate being condescended to by my dentist’s receptionist. She didn’t even ask if my kid was ok!

Fantastic experience: Making an appointment at Pacific Smiles Dental Woden is very convenient. They have a n useful website. They remind you about appointments. When you arrive, you are greeted with a smile. Being in Woden-Westfield, it is easy to get to and parking is easy to find. Dr. Vidhi Patel is friendly, memorable, kind and good at his job. She is our family dentist.

Negative experience: I went to Pacific Smiles Woden for a routine check up and clean. The treatment I received was rushed and fraught with carelessness to the point where the dental assistant made me bleed. I had to pause throughout treatment as I was in pain and uncomfortable. I miss the days when you’d go to the dentist and they’d treat you with care as professionals should. Following the awful treatment I was greeted with a rude receptionist who insisted there was a gap fee for my routine check up and clean which has never been the case before. I explained that with my cover there should be no gap fee but it fell on deaf ears. He told me to ring BUPA as it wasn’t their problem. Sure enough when I rang BUPA they told me that I shouldn’t have paid a gap fee and they reimbursed me. I contacted the same receptionist to let him know that his customer service was poor and he should have looked into my concerns on the spot rather than dismiss me and refer me on to BUPA. I don’t recommend this dental practice and I’ll be looking elsewhere for my dental care. It’s time to do better Pacific Smiles Woden!

Negative experience: I have been going to this practice for 11 years (Pacitic Smiles / NIB dental), but recently with a change in clinicians I would like to share a word of warning. For a $191 routine check up and clean, the dentist spent 15 minutes on the consult plus clean, which was intended to be a 30 minute service. This makes me doubt the level of care and thoroughness given. I go to the dentist every 6 months for 10 years+ and rigorously clean, so was shocked to be told by the new dentist I suddenly needed 4 fillings (not 1 or 2, but 4!), to which when I got a 2nd opinion I was advised it was actually not required. When I got up from the dental chair after my clean, I turned around to see the dentist scrolling through Facebook on her phone which I know is a breach of policies in many practices. Upon requesting and reviewing my dental notes, I noticed that the notes stating discussions had and advice given had not happened and not accurate. I am highly concerned about the quality and value of the service and have given this feedback to the dentist when they called me to discuss why I was requesting my dental notes and xrays. After 11 loyal years of going to this practice, I have decided to leave due to all of the things I find very alarming!

He was very efficient for my general check-up and clean as well as my X-rays. I did not feel rushed too - I will be returning!

Positive experience: I tried Tugg branch today and I decided to go back to these guys. They are more caring, and dentists are more professional and easier to deal with. Most dentists at this clinic are understanding and they don't break your bank.

Negative experience: They are a business and only think about money, the only option they told me for my tooth was to get an implant (9k). I went to see another dentist I spent 1k. I will never go back there.

Fantastic experience: Was looked after Dr K Jackson, who did a thorough job in our consultation. She referred me onto the right specialists to ensure my needs and requests were met. She was very kind, warm and explained everything in great detail but in a way that wasn't overwhelming. An absolute pleasure and delight all around. Very happy with the service I received. Little bit sad she's leaving. 10/10 would recommend

Negative experience: I booked a specific time two months ago because I have a busy schedule. They called me to tell me the day before that they had double booked me. Couldn't offer a suitable alternative. Incredibly inconvenienced by this.

Negative experience: Friendly staff but check up and clean are not thorough. Only less than 20 minutes with a charge of over $200. All other dentists I had been in the past spent at least 40 minutes for checkup and clean. This place is overpriced for the service you receive. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: Worst place e to get an form of an appointment, they don't have customer parking even, an the whole Surroundings area has 1 hrs max Paid Parking! - Plus they could have done all their clients registration on the Phone , wanted me to redo this and come back for another paid parking to do the dental ! Forget it told them, never ever walking in here again !

Negative experience: Recent visit to Pacific Smiles Woden and after my checkup and clean had been quick decided to time my daughter's consult. Only 12 minutes for a checkup, clean and flouride treatment with a charge of $238. Most dental websites recommend between 30 minutes to 1 hour to adequately perform this service. While they cover the gap with the health fund it seems they are not cleaning thoroughly.
