Jess has also been a superstar with my neurodivergent child, slowly slowly building up confidence, always protecting autonomy and listening to her boundaries - from initial appts of not doing anything more than sitting on the chair (on my lap), to now having cleans and small procedures (not in my lap). Jess was so understanding and a superstar. Highly recommend!

He always explains the procedures and will answer any questions, and give you a break when required. Eve is an excellent Hygienist and shares the same positive attributes. Clifton Hill Dentists has been a great find.

Fantastic experience: In 1997 Dr Malamas came to my rescue and solved a dental crisis days out from my wedding day. Since then I moved interstate and never found a dentist who came even close to providing the level of professional expertise in such a lovely and caring way. Fast forward to today and I’ve just walked out of Clifton Hill Dental with a wonderful new smile. A treatment plan over the last two years has included a tooth implant, SureSmile aligners, crowns, veneers, and zoom whitening. The team has been incredibly flexible to manage my care and visits from interstate which has also included virtual consultations. Clifton Hill Dental now look after all of my family too. It is apparent Dr Malamas has embraced advances in technology with extraordinary equipment available in the clinic. The team has also grown, but one thing that hasn’t changed though is the warm and caring approach of Dr Malamas, and now his team, that remains as present today as it did in 1997.

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend the team at Clifton Dental highly enough. I have spent the best part of a year receiving treatment for an old failed route canal on a front tooth which required an extraction and a subsequent implant. At each stage of the process, the whole team were incredibly supportive, professional and the quality of treatment was very high. Dr. Ed in particular is exceptional and I am delighted with the outcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone in need of treatment, big or small.

Eve now and formerly Jess are excellent hygienists giving you great feedback about the results you are achieving with your own dental hygiene at home and suggestions on how to improve this where applicable. However, Dr Ounapuu was excellent. He created a calm and relaxing environment and clearly communicated each step of my procedure which really put me at ease and made an experience I was initially nervous about very comfortable. Fantastic experience: Dr Jeremy Hockey is the best dentist I have ever had. I'm 36 years old and a friend (who has anxiety) recommended him to me. He explained everything in layman's terms and his knowledge of dental care is second-to-none. We drew up a plan together of my dental goals and how we could achieve them in the context of my income and time (and the pandemic restrictions). I cannot reccomend Jeremy highly enough.

Fantastic experience: My gosh, what an amazing clinic! Had a lovely chat on the phone with receptionist Ronda whom I told all my dental woes to. She was very kind and understanding on the phone and booked me in with doctor Jeremy the following morning and he is the most gentle, understanding and informative dentist! He completely understood my situation and gave me tons of options. It was so nice to go for a consultation with such a non-judgemental, high standard dentist. Highly recommended this clinic and the wonderful staff, especially Dr. Jeremy!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seeing Jeremy at Clifton Hill dental for the last 2 years. In that time he has done part of a root canal and a few fillings for me, plus regular check ups. Jeremy is hands down the best dentist we have ever been to. He explains everything extremely well and gives you options. He is always on time with appointments, and we have never had a complaint about his work. And best of all he lets you choose the music. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for the last year and would highly recommend. I've had cleans, checkups and fillings all done by Jeremy, and found the staff to be really friendly and attentive, remembering who you are and following up on things you discussed on your last visit. Jeremy knows what he's taking about, and explains everything easily enough along with your options, and is skilled and has entertaining banter while doing his work. I've had a filling done first thing in the morning, and was out in around half an hour and back straight back at work.

The staff were friendly and professional, the procedures weren't rushed, everything went smoothly and yay! there was almost no pain. Fantastic experience: I've been going to this practice for quite some time. It's very hard to find someone trustworthy, friendly and who provide high quality care. But these dentists seem to manage that, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS Recently having moved to the area, I made an appointment for a general checkup at Clifton Hill Dental. I was told during this consultation that I needed a filling in one of my molars. I returned soon after for this procedure. Never having felt I am easily susceptible to pain, I was surprised to find myself in agony soon after; I lasted a mere half hour at work, I couldn’t hold down any food without vomiting, and couldn’t get up from bed over the next 24 hours. Having never had a filling before, I did not realise that this was unusual. Two months later I noticed pain in the same tooth I’d had the filling, and went back to get it checked out. This time the dentist subjected me to several painful tests (one of which included a ‘cold’ test - blowing freezing cold air onto several teeth for long periods of time) and then told me I needed a root canal. The root canal was going to cost around 4 thousand dollars, and was three sessions with the dentist. The dentist wanted to begin right away, but I told him I needed to think it over, and they booked me in the following week. My family and friends urged me to get a second opinion, which I did. The second opinion (in which during the same ‘cold’ test this dentist barely touched my teeth for a second) stated that the pain was more likely due to me biting down on the filling, and an inflammation in my sinus area where the root of the problem tooth was. Clifton Hill Dental is operating as a sales driven business, and cares little for your health or wellbeing. I have been traumatised by the pain inflicted upon me here, and perhaps will never recover the trust I previously had instilled upon dentists as practitioners in the medical field.
