Fantastic experience: I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Heather at Wallsend Vet Clinic. During one of the hardest times of my life, when my dog Milo was so unwell, Heather showed nothing but kindness, compassion, and genuine care. She was there for us every step of the way and made sure Milo was treated with dignity, love, and comfort. When the time came to say goodbye, Heather stayed with us right until the very end. Her empathy and understanding meant more than she will ever know. She didn’t rush us, she didn’t make it feel clinical — she made it feel humane, gentle, and full of respect for the bond we shared with him. Losing a pet is heartbreaking, but having someone like Heather beside us made an unbearable moment just a little easier to face. She is truly special and a credit to Wallsend Vet Clinic. I will always be thankful for the care she gave Milo and the compassion she showed our family. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough nice things about this clinic. Heather has become such an important part of our journey as first time pet owners. Her constant reassurance and wealth of information and support have helped us more than i can ever say. One the kindest most compassionate people I've ever met, and treats each patient like her own family. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Hi Danielle, thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review. From all the team at Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Negative experience: I took my dog to Wallsend Vet Clinic twice for a pre-arranged surgery, and on both occasions the procedure was not carried out. The explanations provided each time were vague, unsubstantiated, and far from clearly communicated. After the second cancelled appointment, I dealt with veterinarian Jenny, who was without question the most rude, condescending, and unprofessional individual I have ever encountered in any service industry. She took absolutely no responsibility for the clinic’s repeated failures and instead offered a series of excuses that did nothing to justify her behaviour, which can only be described as unhinged. I would never recommend this clinic under any circumstance. My experience was beyond unacceptable, and I will be lodging the appropriate formal complaints. Regardless of her veterinary skill, Jenny’s behaviour was completely inappropriate, and I sincerely hope she is held accountable for how she treats clients. Avoid this clinic. Your pet and your peace of mind deserve far better.

Fantastic experience: Called and made a same day appointment, lucky last of the day. Lovely Trudy made my appointment in no time Lulu was seen. All staff are absolutely lovely, extremely caring and everything was explained to me in simple terms. I can highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: The team at Wallsend Veterinary Clinic, Newcastle, provided exceptional care to my beloved fur child. I brought my staffy, Kora, in late on a Thursday afternoon after noticing she wasn’t herself. The vets quickly discovered she had a life-threatening infection in her uterus called "PYOMETRA" and needed emergency surgery immediately to survive. Even though it was already after hours, the team stayed back and performed the life-saving surgery that night. Thanks to their quick response, skill, and genuine compassion, Kora is now recovering well. I am beyond grateful to the entire Wallsend Veterinary team. If it weren’t for their dedication, love of animals, and willingness to go above and beyond, Kora may not be with us today. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough—whether it’s for a routine check-up or an urgent emergency, they truly care and put our pets first. Thank you all so much! ❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that Kora is doing well. It was our pleasure to care for her. The Team at Wallsend Vet
Fantastic experience: Awesome staff. I feel 100% better with my assistance dogs treatment now.
Thanks a lot for leaving your feedback Brett, we appreciate it! From all the team at Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Fantastic experience: Super friendly and accomodating, my pet loves everyone and they are affordable as well considering vets are expensive. Love the service!
Hi Sarah - We’re so grateful you took the time to leave us a review! Your support means a lot to us.
Kind regards,
Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Positive experience: Just another vet, really, they do what you'd expect, nothing more, nothing less. I will say, I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the fake compliments about how “beautiful” my pet is, like most places do just to butter you up before handing you an outrageous bill. That said, I did notice the appointment was about $20 more than what I used to pay at my previous vet, and overall, things seemed a bit more expensive. Not a huge deal, but it all adds up in the end.
Thanks for your review, Arch. We appreciate the feedback you’ve provided. We’ll share this with our team as we continue to improve.
Sincerely,
Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Fantastic experience: All staff are so awesome! So calming not just 2wards our Pets but their owners lol
Thank you so much for your kind words, Sisi. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
All the best,
Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Fantastic experience: Extremely professional and very friendly staff, highly recommended.
Thanks a lot for leaving your feedback Andrew, we appreciate it! From all the team at Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Fantastic experience: Got a same day appointment within 90 minutes of calling, was expecting expensive surgery to extract a loose tooth from my dog but the vet just whipped it out there and then and my dog is happy again. Great service, and it only cost $100. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: The vets and nurses here are amazing and totally put the needs of my dog first. My dog is highly anxious as he is a rescue and they totally understand and respect that.
Fantastic experience: Awesome vet, they really look after you are your pets
Fantastic experience: Great team there, went out there way to take care of my baby Rosie
Fantastic experience: Can’t thank enough to Wallsend vet for looking after my furry baby Medusa in a very short notice today. Medusa was severely constipated. The vet was very helpful and gentle with her and explained me everything very nicely. Would highly recommend this place
Thank you, we hope Medusa continues to improve and remains well, please contact us if you have any further concerns - Trudy Practice Manager
Negative experience: Absolutely shocking. My sister brought her dog here - over an hour late, overcharged. VERY rude vet, poor advice, disorganized office. Take a miss if you love your pet. SHAMEFUL. Zero stars if could.
Good Morning Alex, Could you please give me a call on 49514222 regarding your sisters recent visit. I am unable to track the appointment with your name. I would appreciate being able to discuss with you, Thank you, Trudy - Practice Manager
Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could. Paid $100 for a urine test and have rung every day for a week to get the results only to be told they would ring back later. Still no results and have had to take her to the emergency in the meantime. Expensive waste of time!
Hi Julie, would you be able to contact me at Wallsend Vet on 49514222 so I can discuss with you, Thank you Trudy
Fantastic experience: Had an amazing return to Wallsend Vets with my greyhound after being given an exorbitant quote from another regular vet practice. Wallsend Vets are so professional, helpful and give good advice and do not charge excessive fee for service. Have decided that it is worth the stressful car trip for my dog to remain a client at Wallsend Vets.
Thank you for your feedback, Trudy
Fantastic experience: Excellent service, excellent staff.
Fantastic experience: It pays to shop around,my original vet quoted $1100.00 for a procedure. I called this vet for a quote and they where less then 1/2 the price of the original quote. I also found this vets work to be alot neater with her stitchers 10/10 would recommend Wallsend vet
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff .. Thankyou for looking after our beautiful boy ..Leo
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. The staff are extremely rude. DO NOT bring any stray cats or kittens here, they will just be euthanised as they can't be bothered to treat the animal. We brought in a gorgeous little grey and white kitten, he had an injury that the vet said they would treat on Monday. He was so sweet, all purrs. We spent all weekend making arrangements to rehome him. We had a foster arranged. Left our number at the vet. Call up Monday to "what kitten? Oh, no one owned him and there was no microchip so we put him to sleep." No description of his injury or potential treatments, they just threw him in the too hard basket without contacting us. He was eating, drinking and playing. He couldn't have been too sick. What, were you guys worried you'd have to treat an animal for free? As if you dont make enough money from the public preying on their love of animals. I've personally never met a poor vet. And guess what? All of the kittens bills were going to be paid by the foster. So a warning to the public, unless you're walking through the door with a pedigree that needs a $5000 procedure, they dont care. They see your beloved pets and injured animals as nothing but dollar signs. If you can't be bothered to care about animals, look for a different career so you can stop adding pain and sadness to an already sick and difficult world. Rest in peace little kitten, the people at Wallsend Vets robbed you of the life you could have had.
Negative experience: From the beginning to the end of what should have been routine vaccination for my three dogs, this was a difficult and painful experience, especially given a very stressful family event that was going on at the time (that I informed the vet and receptionist about). The vet kept us waiting outside for nearly half an hour, offered zero apology for doing so and from the get go was brusque, rude and treated me like I was a child. When she couldn't get my dog to open her mouth she started instructing me to go home and teach it to do so and then said she would take her for some "rough treatment" from one of the nurses, not allowing me to follow her as she took her away. There was simply no sign of care from this older female vet and her attitude to both my three dachshunds and me was shocking. It is a shame because all other interactions with this practice have been good. Since leaving in a hurry due to the family event, after paying $420 for the vaccinations, I have tried three times, twice by phone and once by email, to obtain the dogs' vaccination certificates, which were emailed simply and easily last year, and three days later I still have not received anything. This, in spite of promises to get them to me "as soon as possible" (three days ago) and to "get right onto it" (yesterday). If this senior vet's behaviour is anything to go by, I would avoid this practice at all costs.
Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly my little dog seemed quite at home .
Fantastic experience: Came here at 2:00 for my grandmother's dogs to have their nails clipped and Veterinarian Nurse Jess was a lot of help, energetic and extremely kind. One of my Nans dogs gets really scared when going to the vet I noticed today that before the appointment she had her tail between her legs, was trying to get to the door, her ears were down too, but after the appointment today she came out super happy, tail wagging, ears up. Thank you Jess! And next time I'm with my nan at the vets I'll bring my pen too!
Negative experience: Don’t bother Couldn’t clean my dogs ears as they said I took my products to show what I was using which they took outback so I can only assume they used my products to half clean my dogs ears and charged $220 Thanks for nothing
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend . Genuine caring people they do not push unnecessary treatments. Truely care for the safety and well being of your pet.
Negative experience: Ms Barnes is the single rudest 'professional' i have ever met, & her advice contradicts established veterinary (and medical) best practice. Did not even understand basic aseptic practice. Of course the infection she denied immediately spread as soon as treatment (prescribed by another vet) was withdrawn by this banshee. Other reviews made me check - the medication i was charged $60 for is $10 most places online. This seems like taking advantage of people at their hardest times, at best. Especially given the corporate conglomerate that runs the surgery.
Negative experience: Don’t take your animals here !! The worst vets I’ve ever been to. So unprofessional and disingenuous. The staff are rude and incompetent.
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this Vet to anyone wanting to get their pet the care they need, very happy with the service I receive and the benefits of their Best for Pet program
Fantastic experience: My two Chihuahuas have always had the best care here. Highly recommend wallsend vets for your pets.
Fantastic experience: My little dog Ellie is a regular at Wallsend Vet Hospital and I wouldn’t consider taking her anywhere else. She gets terrible anxiety and the team there are always fantastic with her. Geoff is an amazing vet, it’s obvious our pets are his priority, he’s always so patient and caring. Lianne is the best vet nurse I’ve ever dealt with and clearly knows her stuff. Experienced, professional team, I highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Such a great vet. We have been taking our two dogs here for the last 2 years and they have always been amazing. Extremely fair pricing too! Thanks team
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! We're so glad that you've enjoyed your visits with us!
Fantastic experience: The staff are always amazing. And a extra extra Thankyou to Lianne , you won’t get a better vet nurse than her . Just a special lady that knows her business x love and hugs Benson and Roxy

Fantastic experience: I can not can not fault Wallsend vet !!! The next 3 months my dogs have been injured and boom they’re seen by a nurse Dr straight away ! If your looking for a vet Wallsend is your one !!!
Thank you Grace for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! We're very glad that we've been able to help you and your pups!
Fantastic experience: The staff are very lovely and understanding and were very helpful with any information i required.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this great review, Adam. We're so glad that we were able to help!
Fantastic experience: Unbelievably genuine people! Geoff and Judy are amazing, so caring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them, even when I was so stressed and and emotional, not making much sense they were so helpful.
Negative experience: I would NOT recommend this vet to anyone . Especially if you have a senior dog ! I have been going to this vet for several years as they were local and didn’t want to travel too far having a senior dog in case of an emergency , and depending which vet I saw as they seem to have different vets coming and going all that time , I didn’t have many major issues with them . Until recently , I took my unwell 15 yr old baby to them who had been vomiting and not eating ( she had a history of pancreatitis ). At the first appointment , blood tests were done and they determined it was her pancreatitis , we agreed on a treatment plan and that all seemed fine . Over the next few days there was not a lot of improvement in her condition and she was still refusing to eat so I returned to the vet for a check up , the vet performed the bare minimum check up and was told she’s old and will it will take longer for her to recover then other dogs , the appointment would have been less then 5 minutes and we felt rushed out . After another few days I returned once again as she was STILL not improving or eating , I had even presented video footage to the vet of my dog to show him the things she was doing that was strange and out of character . He hardly looked at them and instantly diagnosed her with reflux , which she had NEVER had in the past and then in his words said “well she is an old girl” and after another bare minimum check up was given some meds and rushed out again , I did also express my concern about her kidneys which showed some abnormalities in the blood tests she had at the first appointment , but that was brushed off and dismissed as her being dehydrated . Another couple of days past and she was rapidly declining so I decided to take her somewhere else for a second opinion , this new vet I went too instantly performed X-rays and an ultrasound and it was found that she had a blockage somewhere and fluid leaking into her abdomen and could only be fixed with surgery , by this stage she was too weak and would not have made it through the surgery and was given a very low chance of recovering . I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my baby put to sleep then and there . To say I’m heartbroken and distraught is an understatement !!! After a discussion with the new vet I went to he agreed , had further investigating and testing been done earlier , especially given her medical history and past conditions which you were well aware of as I had been going to you for quite some time , she could have been treated and made a recovery . After coming to your clinic 3 TIMES , you neglected and failed to and simply could not be bothered looking further into why she was so unwell , instead writing her of as an “old dog” and leaving her to suffer those last couple of weeks of her life ! Even after privately emailing your clinic with these concerns , you didn’t have decency or compassion to even respond or reply back . The lack of action and care we were given and then ultimately leading to losing my soul dog , is unforgivable !!!!
Fantastic experience: We came down from QLD and our dog hurt himself, they were so helpful, caring and understanding (even when we got lost and we’re 20 mins late!) honestly best Vet we have seen in 13 years !
Fantastic experience: Always the best care for my best mate Ted, if you love your pets then make Wallsend vets your go to
Negative experience: If I could have given less than 1 star I would have. Beyond disappointed at how my partner was treated and the 'professional advice' given after taking our Dog in for a check up here for the first time. This vet does not know the history of our dog - the recommendations provided were cause for concern alone when she mentioned taking him to a dog park to socialise with other dogs (after advising her he hasn't had a good history with other dogs), feeding him foods we know will cause him stomach issues because he's 'a carnivore'. Last I checked dogs were omnivores. She very much was 'old school' vet and really needs some refresher training or something. It's situations like that, that turn people away from getting their animals regularly checked over by a vet. Such a shame this is our local vet.
Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service and vets bedside manner. Best for Pets pet insurance is great value as well. My dog always enjoys going there.
Hey Fred, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this great review, we're so glad you and your dog have enjoyed your experience at Wallsend Vet!
Fantastic experience: Excellent. Had an emergency as a new patient and they fit me in immediately. very caring and loving as well as knowledgeable. Really respect the lady vet who served me, she was right on the issue and knew exactly what was happening, she gave great advice and was very kind. She also wasn't afraid to tell me off for having a bit too chunky cat, but in a non condescending way and gave amazing advice on exactly what to do. Definitely left with all the info I needed and a potentially serious problem solved
Fantastic experience: Excellent communication with our dog.He been sick 2 years going to other veterinary clinics without helping us and costing us $$$$$$I now got help and support to make the dog feel better, not suffering from his condition permanently Reasonable prices also with parking.
Negative experience: The vet was scared of our puppy, there is a first for everything i guess.. Then he said his conjunctivitis was fine and no treatment required. The conjunctivitis got worse, took him to our normal vet (hamilton) who were furious with the advice received from wallsend vet and gave pup antibiotics straight away.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff - specialists for greyhounds and would not take my dog anywhere else. Reasonable cost - they genuinely care about your pet.
Fantastic experience: Wallsend Vet is the best vet I have ever taken my cat to. The vet and vet nurses are extremely knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate. The vet was extremely thorough with my cat's consultation and we had a diagnosis and treatment straight away with a clear followup plan. I felt extremely welcome and all the staff were more than happy to answer my questions and provide suggestions and recommendations. They are now my vet of choice in this region and I will be back for routine checkups (hopefully under better circumstances than my last visit). Thankyou again Wallsend Vet, you guys are incredible.
Negative experience: I have been coming to Wallsend vet for a while now and have always had a really good experience. They've always taken very good care of my animals. However, I have been 3 times over the last week because of a newborn kitten and have been very disappointed. The first visit was to a new vet that I've never seen before and he seemed to have no idea what to do. He didn't assess the kitten or anything. He had to speak to the vet nurses to work out a solution to the issue and gave me no information. I was back 3 days later because the kitten was having the same problem. We saw a different vet who was fantastic, answered all my questions, told me what possible problems were and how to handle them and what I could do. I had to take the kitten back again today because he had unfortunately taken a bad turn overnight and was very dehydrated. I saw the vet from the first visit. He refused to listen to me when I told him what the issue was and basically told me the kitten was too young to do anything. It wasnt until I put my foot down that he got a vet nurse to help him give the kitten some fluids. He wouldn't listen when I tried to relay the information the vet from yesterday had given me and would not believe me when I said that the original issue wasn't why we were back again. He also spoke to me very condescendingly the whole time which I did not appreciate.
Hey Jacinta,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback, we’re sad to hear that your recent experience didn’t go as expected.
All medical patients that come through our doors will receive a physical and vital sign assessment, we have extensive written history from the vet who first saw you and your kitten that confirms a full assessment was performed during that consult, which may have been performed as your kitten was receiving some treatment in our private hospital zone. We understand that there was a break down in communication regarding the milk formula as the brand has recently changed their packaging/feeding guidelines, so the vet communicated with the nurses for assistance to track down the correct feeding guidelines for such young kittens to ensure their feeding advice was accurate before providing you with instructions.
Regardless of the above, we do not wish for any of our visitors to feel as though they have not been heard when they voice their concerns or that they weren't communicated to appropriately and we appreciate you reaching out to us as this kind of feedback helps us grow. We have spoken to those involved and have provided your feedback as well as offering training to help ensure this situation does not happen again.
We’re also very glad that you enjoyed your experience with the second vet you saw and we have passed your positive feedback on to them!
If you would like to discuss this matter further, please call our practice manager, Trudy, on (02) 4951 4222.
Kind regards,
The Wallsend vet Team.

Negative experience: Our dog had surgery with this vet after she was attacked by another dog. The actual vetinary care was fine however we had significant issues with the payments. The first issue was that the vet under estimated the cost of the surgery and we were provided a larger bill without any explanation. The second issue was that the vet admin reported to my partner at the time off the surgery that they could submit the insurance paperwork. Yesterday, i called to follow up on where the application was up to and was begrudgingly informed that the insurance paperwork is done on tuesdays and thursday and later that same day i was told that 'she (the other vet nurse) is doing it now'. Today my partner took our dog to get her stitches removed and was informed that they dont have time to do the insurance paperwork. They reported that they never do insurance paperwork as they dont have time. We are going to swap vets as their is nil consistency in what we are being told which is really sad as the vet is really nice.
Hey Daniel,
Thanks for getting in touch. We're so glad that you enjoyed your experience with the veterinary care that was delivered to your pup and that we were able to help her make a full recovery considering the nature of her extensive injuries. It was always such a pleasure when your little pup came to visit and it was very rewarding for our team to watch her make such a successful recovery from her considerable wounds.
We believe there may have been a miscommunication regarding the payment as well as the Insurance paperwork;
According to our records you were quoted $1300 for the procedure to repair her wounds, but the total bill actually came to less than what was quoted. On the admission form that was signed on the day of the procedure this amount was specified on the form and was also signed for by yourselves to give permission to go ahead with the estimated cost of $1300. Luckily the procedure did not come to this full amount.
As for the miscommunication for the Insurance paperwork, we are always happy to fill out insurance paperwork for owners and provide as much evidence as necessary for the insurance papers to be processed (e.g. vet history, treatment receipts, etc.). We apologise that you were told that we would submit the paperwork to the insurance company on your behalf as this is something we do not do, instead we contact the owners when the forms have been completed for them to collect from us and send to the insurance company themselves as it's always best for the client to communicate with their insurance company directly so we do not interfere with your policy or desired outcome. We aim to have our insurance papers processed within two weeks and process them on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but unfortunately during this period of time that you were visiting us we were extremely busy with complicated medical cases and many animals that required treatment, which unfortunately got in the way of us completing the insurance paperwork within a two week period.
If there's anything else you would like to discuss further, please call us on 4951 4222 and ask to speak with either Hayley or Trudy who will be able to help you as much as possible. :)
Kindest regards,
The Wallsend Vet Team
Negative experience: Extremely rude staff. I called this morning looking to book an appointment, my dog was extremely sick (not eating and vomiting). The receptionist scoffed at me, and sarcasticly said "yeah, its not like we would be busy on a Monday morning", then bluntly told me they were booked out. Its totally understandable they they were full, but I didnt appreciate the sarcasim and felt the rude dismissive attitute was unecessary - especially during a time where I'm extremely worried for my dogs well being.
Hey Dudley,
We appreciate you taking the time to contact us about your recent experience and we're saddened that you did not enjoy your interaction with us.
It is true that we are busy on a Monday morning, but our receptionist didn't intend to come across as rude or disregarding and apologizes for the miscommunication. She did offer you an appointment for early that afternoon so that we could still see your pet but we understand this may not have fit in with your schedule. If we weren't booked out and tending to critical patients at the time you called we would certainly have offered you an appointment in the morning, but we do have to try our best to triage our emergency cases.
Patient well being is our biggest interest so we hope you were able to book in elsewhere and hope that your pet is doing well.
Kind regards,
The Wallsend Vet Team.
Positive experience: 3 weeks ago i had to make that hard decesion for my little girl rosie ,then i learnt from my son, who had to take our other dog for a needle , that my little girl rosie is still there ,and in the notes it says for my rosie to be on hold , hold for what ,everything was paidedfor ,for her to get cremated and returned to me ,there was no phone call from anyone at the vets , but do you know how upset i am ,to think my little girl has been there all the time when iwas waiting for her ashes ,i did speak to a lovely lady Coral this morning who tried her best to answer my sobbing questions ,she will ring me back after she speaks to that nurse as ive requested an explanation this is not good enough , my heart is breaking today .
Hello Marie,
We're so sorry this situation has caused you so much grief and we completely understand the way you're feeling considering the circumstances of what's happened.
As Carol explained, the miscommunication was on the end of the crematorium and we were not holding Rosie with us, but rather that we were waiting for the crematorium to come collect Rosie from us. As this was organised over the Christmas period there were some delays on the end of the crematorium and one of our nurses had written a note on Rosie's file saying 'on hold?' as they were unsure why Rosie was still with us- the crematorium had been contacted already and this was followed up with the crematorium several times until they were able to collect Rosie from us. We do think there may have been a miscommunication when that note on Rosie's file was explained to you as we were not holding Rosie, but were just waiting to hear back from the crematorium and we sincerely apologize for this miscommunication.
We understand that situations like this are very hard to deal with and we would never with-hold an animal from their owner but unfortunately we had done everything possible on our end and we were waiting to hear back from the crematorium to be able to proceed.
Our deepest and sincerest apologies.
Warm regards,
The Wallsend Vet Team.
Fantastic experience: We just recently completed an 8 month journey with Wallsend Vet after our Kelpie/Collie was hit by a car in March 2019 breaking her Femur. Being an active dog, it was difficult to keep Sugar quiet during her recovery and a couple of times we were back to see David & staff as the surgery was undone due to Sugar chasing a bird or a ball. Each and every staff member at Wallsend Vet was amazing! These people should be given more appreciation for the work they do. Sugar had her last surgery 10 days ago and the pin was removed from her Femur, this has now given Sugar more ability to run & jump as she did before the accident. During these 8 or so months, a couple of times I would just arrive on the door step with Sugar first thing in the morning due to some issue. I was always attended to and given the best alternative for the situation. Thank you David & staff for helping make an unpleasant situation into a manageable victory for our special girl.
Hey Robert,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! We're so glad that we were able to help Sugar and that she is now enjoying running around and being a dog again after her long recovery.
We're very glad that you have enjoyed your experience with us, please let us know if there's ever anything we can do for you and Sugar in the future!
Kindest regards,
The Wallsend Vet Team.
Negative experience: Disgusting customer service. Cancelled both of our dogs bookings with 10 minutes notice. I told them when i booked my partner had to take a day off so we could bring them down. Ironically one of my dogs had a massive swelling on the side of her face the size of a tennis ball that morning also and they still didnt care.
Hey Ashlee,
We apologize deeply for the experience you recently had with us. We always try to give as much notice as possible during emergency situations but unfortunately we don't often get much warning to act upon. With the emergency that was presented to us on the day of your booking our vets were unable to continue their normal consulting services and had to make the decision to cancel their remaining appointments to tend to the emergency case. We understand that you were not given much notice and we agree that this would have been very frustrating and we wish we could have offered you more notice.
We extend our deepest apologies for the inconvenience, please let us know if there's anything we can do for you and your animals in the future.
Please call us on (02) 4951 4222 if you would like to discuss things further.
Kind regards,
The Wallsend Vet Team
Fantastic experience: Such dedicated care shown to our cat, both vets and all of the nurses were wonderful.
Thank you for the great review, Rachel. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience at Wallsend Vet!
Fantastic experience: Amazing service ! Took my two cats there today for vaccinations and the staff were so friendly and professional and the pets were comfortable to be there too. They usually go there to be boarded but we switched today and made it our vet as well.
Thank you for the great review, Amanda. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with us!
Fantastic experience: The team at Wallsend vet were beyond amazing with my baby girl. Even though she was a difficult patient she was shown nothing but kindess, compassion and respect and given a peaceful, pain free send off. Thankyou Dr Angela and team for making a difficult time so much easier.
Fantastic experience: Great friendly service and advice. Would recommend.
Thank you, Tristan. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with us! :)
Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff and service
Thank you for the lovely review, Garth!
Fantastic experience: I can't recommend these guys highly enough. We've seen a few vets over the years but David Larratt is phenomenal and all the girls are lovely as well. We are very grateful that our pooches always receive the best care when its needed most
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this lovely review, Manuela. We're so glad you've enjoyed your experiences with Dr David and the team! :)
Positive experience: Very friendly and professional staff. My one concern is being charged $41.60 for 4g Tricin ear and eye ointment. This product is $8.95 online. According to a staff member the price includes a $14 dispensing fee. We were also charged $15 for 1 Fluorescein strip which come in packs of 100 for around $40 or 40 cents each online. According to a staff member this includes a 'professional fee' which is in addition to a $75 consult fee. For transparency each 'hidden' fee should be itemised and stated clearly on the receipt.
Fantastic experience: My puppy developed tick paralysis and the team at Wallsend vetaniry practice were professional and caring. Thankyou for all the support and love you showed for mini. Definitely recommend this practice for the ensurance of safety and love for your pet.
Hi Brittaney,
Thank you for your kind review. Mini is gorgeous and we will do everything we can for her recovery from tick paralysis. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Kind regards,
The Wallsend Vet Newcastle Team
Fantastic experience: Always 5 star quality care at Wallsend Vet. My puppy had FHO surgery in July 2018 & ran into a bit of a complication that delayed her recovery time, the continued care & support from the team at Wallsend Vet was outstanding! After nearly 3 months, my girl is now feeling much better! And despite everything, my girl still loves our visits to the vet (which says everything right there). Biggest thank you to David & Team
We always love to see Charlie at our veterinary hospital! Thank you for your review, Katie. It is a pleasure to see Charlie moving so well since her procedure. She is a beautiful girl. Kind regards, Wallsend Vet Newcastle
Fantastic experience: Definitely 5 star service. Their customer service and how accomodating they are is just fantastic. They treated me like a regular long time customer, even though it's a one time visit, as I'm not a local to Wallsend. They made a stressful situation just so easy and never made me feel like I was imposing, even though they had to look after my baby boy after closing time. I was so impressed that I'd recommend them to anyone thinking of going to them.
Thank you Alba for your feedback, Martin was a pleasure to take care of. We hope he makes a speedy recovery and if you are ever in our local area, we look forward to seeing you both again!
Kind regards,
The Wallsend Vet Newcastle Team
Fantastic experience: Beautifully run surgery. Professional. Kind. Caring staff. Highly recommend.
Thank you for the great rating and kind words about our team!
Fantastic experience: Exceptional care given! Thanks to the whole team at Wallsend Vet my Cavoodle Toto lives on. I brought him in badly hit by a car and after several hours of complicated surgery and weeks of post op TLC Toto wags his tail and runs about as if nothing ever happened. Amazing guys, just amazing!
Hi Joanne, thank you so much for your review, Toto was a pleasure to care for. It is very rewarding to see him come so far from a bad accident. We look forward to seeing you both soon on your next visit to Wallsend Vet Newcastle.
Fantastic experience: Bella and Max are my two beautiful agility dogs. I take them to see the vets at Wallsend because of their amazing experience and skills with Sports Medicine . Bella and Max love all the cuddles too.
We love Bella and Max, Suzie. Thank you for your caring review. We believe all dogs should move like Sports Stars!
Fantastic experience: We couldn't ask for better Vets and staff than the wonderful people who work here. We took in one of our Guinea pigs who needed immediate medical attention the Vet was straight on to it and she did everything she could to help her but the outcome of several tests ment that we would have to make a very difficult decision. We cannot thank the Vet and staff enough for being so understanding with us and it doesn't matter what size your furry family member is they do matter to them. We will definitely be taking our other guinea pigs to this vet.
Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Wallsend Veterinary Clinic this week. Our cockatiel was motionless on the bottom of the cage when we arrived. The concern and care given to our tiny patient was amazing from the nurse at reception to the two vets and practice staff that attended to him. With the treatment given and instructions on how to administer, what we were given to use at home, against all odds, our bird was back on his highest perch and talking to us by the next afternoon.
Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for a more caring or dedicated team of professionals. The quality of care given to both of my dogs and our cat has been outstanding thank you all.
Fantastic experience: After visiting several local vets that charged a small fortune to fix my rabbit with no successful outcome, I've finally found the perfect vets that not only have established the cause of issues with my animal, they have shown they care more for the animals than the money. It's refreshing to see such wonderful and caring staff and I only wish I had been recommended to see them sooner. Cannot recommend enough.
Fantastic experience: a very busy place good for grooming and all veterinary needs.. I have always been given details and the dogs are ay ease there. I travel to get there out of my choice, they are very holistic about the care they give.
Positive experience: I've taken my dog to these guys for over 10 years. My experience has always been positive. The vet staff have always been very professional and knowledgeable and the support staff are very helpful. The only negative is at times the wait is a bit long and sometimes I have arrived there and no one is manning the front desk which is a little frustrating.
