Fantastic experience: I’ve only had an initial consultation at The Katoomba Dental Centre, but cannot speak highly enough about their care and attention, making me feel safe, knowing that I was going to get the best of care. I was also very impressed by their state of the art equipment , which was used competently, giving the best information to the practitioner and allowing her detailed knowledge as to my needs. I highly recommend The Katoomba Dental Clinic to anyone looking for a dentist that you know will give you the best of care.

Fantastic experience: I was really anxious with first partial dentures about if they would be comfortable. Moe did a fantastic job! I don't even realize they are in my mouth at most times, and they match my remaining teeth wonderfully. When I accidentally broke them, he fitted me in the next day and they were fixed that same day! Additionally, even though the break was through no fault of his work, he fixed them for free! I'm all, a really great experience.

Fantastic experience: From reception, to nurses, and dentist, everyone was really friendly and made the whole experience easy and positive. They take the time to explain each step of the process and leave you lots of space to ask questions and feel comfortable. They are upfront and open with costs and map out everything on your plan so you can see everything clearly. The facilities are clean and modern. Great dentist!

Fantastic experience: Dr James Lim and his Dental Hygienist Megan are wonderful and the team at Katoomba Dental Centre. My experience having my teeth cleaned and fixed have been painless.

Negative experience: I recently went to the dentist for a filling and experienced the most significant pain I’ve ever felt. I’ve been going to the dentist (not this one) since I was a kid and never felt anything even similar to the pain I experienced from this filling. I don’t know if what numbs the mouth wasn’t administered correctly or if the dentist just doesn’t know how to properly do it. During the drilling I felt everything and even after I mentioned this and they gave me more I still felt it to the point I could feel the medicine going into the nerve. Although the dentist himself is lovely, his approach and abilities were horrific.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic good great beautiful people,no muck around went there for a tooth extraction less than 20 minutes, big love to the dentist that took care of me there thankyou to the staff also

Positive experience: I booked in an appointment for my wife as she needed to see a dentist and this seamed like the most convenient being in town. On the morning of the appointment my wife was unable to attend and rang as soon as they opened to let them know she could not make it for personal reasons. The receptionist was extremely rude and impatient as English is my wife’s second language. She was very intimidated from the call and was harassed throughout the day by constant phone calls trying to rebook the appointment when she clearly wanted nothing to do with them. They have proceeded to sending us an $100 bill and state in there letter any less than 2 days notice you will be billed this fee! Edit: I called and spoke with the manager and he waived the fee. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend the practice and James Lim enough! I had a sore tooth and thought it was am impacted wisdom tooth. In the night the pain became almost unbearable sore and I didn't sleep at all. As an overseas backpacker, its not easy being away from home without the comforts and people around you when you're feeling unwell. I called the centre in the morning and they booked me in that day for a whole hour to leave time for any X rays or procedure if necessary. I was overwhelmed by how fast they could see me and how much time and attention to detail there was. Not just with me, but I witnessed the receptionist know the patients by name and it had a very warm, family feel to it. Mr Lim was so kind and really took care of me. You could see he genuinely cared about his job and patient welfare and answered my questions and showed me photos of my x rays and photos. It turned out it was an infected gum and he explained it all really well, in a way that was clear and easy to understand as a lay person. I can't thank Mr Lim and the centre anymore. They really helped me in my time of need.

Fantastic experience: Dr James was very helpful when I needed to come in for an unexpected and in short notice appointment. He not only fixed my broken tooth but also informed me what was going on. Would recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Moss is an excellent dentist with countless years of experience. I had my wisdom teeth extraction from him today and not only was he quick, he was efficient and confident in his work. He pulled the teeth out in one go and the whole process from injection of local anaesthetic to wisdom teeth extraction took less than 10 minutes. He's the most efficient, confident and reliable dentist I've had. I've had zero pain after extraction (even after the local anaesthesics wore off). I could still eat and drink normally and it only felt like two empty sockets of where my teeth used to be. No sutures required at all. I highly recommend Dr. Moss if you want someone who is confident and experienced in what they do.

Fantastic experience: We are on holiday in the Blue Mountains and I needed to see a dentist urgently. I was lucky and Katoomba dental care got me in very quickly. I had excellent professional and caring treatment by Dr. Yang and the problem was quickly solved. I told him if he was in Sydney I would definitely be having him as our dentist! I highly recommend him for the people of the blue mountains.

Positive experience: i went to katoomba dental for composite bonding results were great and then one broke and they got me in straight away to fix it which was awesome then another one chipped and i tried to book in to get it fixed but i wasn’t able to because of a receptionists mistake of not cancelling my booking for a clean when i had called in to cancel so now i am left with a fee that i must pay to be allowed to rebook an appointment to get a tooth fixed that should be fixed by them so i am not please about this

Fantastic experience: after moving to the upper mountains, I needed a new dentist and found the Katoomba Dental Centre on the internet... it was easy to make an online appointment, and on arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful.. then I learned from the Xrays that my silver fillings (which had served me well for over 40 years) were now badly needing to be replaced... a daunting prospect... however I was reassured when my dentist Elizabeth made everything clear to me regarding a new set of white fillings... she gave me a detailed quote which helped me to make the choice with confidence... now (5 weeks later) I am very happy with my new set of pearly whites... the whole experience I would definitely rate as 5-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: As you get older you realise just how important your teeth are, especially if you start losing a few! My wife and I have been attending the Katoomba Dental Clinic ever since we came to the Blue Mountains about ten years ago and have had Phillip Moss attend to our needs over that time. Although going to the dentist is not my favourite pastime, and my regular dental health and cleaning check my least favourite “thing”, (give me a crown any time instead!) I have to say that the expertise that Dr Moss exhibits in every aspect of his work has completely eased the fear of dentists that I had as a child and into early adulthood. All the staff, both dental and administration at the Centre are friendly, professional and efficient. Thanks to all of them we both, now into our 70’s (soon to be 80’s), have been saved the ignominy of being “toothless” or of having obvious gaps in our smiles. The reminders to have regular checks and maintenance are important and have ensured that nothing gets to the stage when repair is too late. We are both glad that we found the Katoomba Dental Clinic!

Fantastic experience: My first visit was 24.6.21. Very efficient very experienced dentist - Dr Liz. Told me the reasons why she did everything and spent 5 mins reeducating me on where i was going wrong with my brushing. The whole business is run like a military operation - seem to have embraced the idea of implementing best practice in all their work systems. Impressive.

Fantastic experience: The Katoomba Dental Centre has been taking care of my dental needs for over three years. Over that time I have recommended this practice to friends without hesitation. Courteous, efficient receptionists and short waiting times make the visit straight forward. My dentist is an experienced and caring professional who explains procedure, administers my injections quickly and at the conclusion allows time for any questions I may have. All the staff follow covid safe practices throughout. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: The absolute worse dental surgery on earth. After 9000 dollars lose 3 teeth. After corrosion tactics had 3 wisdom teeth removed. Mouth full of blood the sadist dentist would not write me a script for pain killers. I sprayed blood in chemist. I kept hearing can’t fix 3 grand. My new dentist said magor damage caused. Was able to get all my teeth fixed for 1200$ and have stopped losing teeth like flys. Avoid this scam

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been patients of Katoomba Dental for the past 11yrs. We are leaving the area, hopefully we will be lucky enough to find something similar... We have enjoyed our time with the lovely people there, they make you feel very special and part of their dental family. They have always been there for us over the years, covering every situation. Susan is very knowledgable and allays your fears over the phone & always manages to find a spot for you as needed :) James is such a caring person ...and phoned me twice for 'follow up' after a difficult extraction! He has a wonderful personalty and makes you feel very relaxed before and after your appt. Dr Moss is a great Surgeon, and going hand in hand with that is patient, gentle, caring and has a calming voice and manner. Those that we have referred, have agreed with all of the above ... The K.D.C. prices are reasonable and have payment plans. My personal experience with dentists was traumatic due to childhood and teen experiences. When we lived in California I had major dental work with a 'Cosmetic' dentist surgeon, a brilliant kind and considerate person, just like at Katoomba Dental Clinic.

She is simply the most compassionate, altruistic, judgement-free, empathetic and skillful medical practitioner I've ever encountered. The after-care that the practice provides is nothing short of absolute excellence, going well above and beyond. The practice is aiso very well equipped with high-tech gadgets, scanning on site. It was priced very reasonable too, and the safe and cosy expertise they offer I would say, is probably worth more money. I had a very difficult extraction procedure and unlike any dentist experience before, she ensured at lengths that I felt no pain. None at all. I would say, it was as comfortable as getting a dentist job from my own mother, she cares that nurturingly! I am just so, so grateful for what she done for me today.

Fantastic experience: I attended your Practice as an Emergency Patient last Tuesday 21st May. I had snapped off an Upper Central in the morning and although there was no pain, it was unsightly and I sought a rapid solution. I was given an afternoon appointment with Dr Sibel Ur. Attending at 4.30pm I was met by a charming Dental Nurse who made me very comfortable, and by Dr Ur who welcomed me and examined my problem. She had a previous OPG already and the severed crown in her hand. What to do? She was very thorough in her examination and checked various things. She then coughed gently and put her diagnosis to me. There were eight options, which she explained clearly and gave rough quotatiions for each. And what did I want done? I explained that I was reluctant to go to Sydney without my front tooth and so she skilfully and rapidly made a very good temporary arrangement and allowed me to leave her surgery - although it was by then considerably later than we had hoped. This was an excellent response to a difficult patient. She was running very late when I left and yet she had been most courteous to me thoughout, to a stranger and a potentially difficult case. I have nothing but praise for her performance; if this is the standard of a dentist at the beginning of her practising career then the oral health of patients in the years to come are in good hands. I am recently retired from a busy dental practice in Sydney and was going down to visit my successor the following day. I doubt whether he noticed my discomfrture in Tuesday! Incidentally, I was also most impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the Reception Staff. Dr Keith Hammond

From the first phone call speaking with James to the actual procedure everything was done to make sure that not only did I know what was goiing to happen but they made every effort to make me feel relaxed and comfortable... a hard thing to do when you are having to have all your teeth removed... I live in Penrith and they worth the travel time to go and see them for whatever your dental needs may be.

I had a lot of work done, mainly because other dentists I'd seen in the past did terrible jobs. He and the nurse always made sure I wasn't in pain and would always go through the treatment with me. I was always very comfortable. My teeth are saved! Would highly recommend, 11/10.

Fantastic experience: Professional quality service for the many years I have been going there.

Negative experience: I felt really uncomfortable being there, as I suffer from an anxiety disorder. I always need someone to be with me whilst I'm out & they wouldn't allow that. So I was in there with the dental assistant & the dentist. The guy who was extracting my tooth was rude. I had an abscess from my infected tooth, and he was NOT gentle. He really caused me a lot of pain during the surgery. He was rough with getting my tooth out & heard a lot of cracks. The receptionist accused me of smoking (I've never smoked in my life). They were overall rude. They expected me to talk to them when my mouth was numb and had a back tooth taken out. They did not give me special instructions on how to cope for the next few days. The second appointment was just a checkup. They told me they'd have to do an X-ray. I had someone in the room with me this time, and they said that's why not we're here for. We are here only for the check up regarding my recent extraction. So we left right away & never gone back. I would NEVER recommend this dental practice to anyone. They're expensive, they don't care about the wellbeing of their patients either. I've been too scared to visit another dentist since.
