Negative experience: worst dental experience in Australia 1. The first time I went there for a tooth extraction ，The dentist who served me broken my tooth even We all already heard the breaking sound of tooth but she still kept forcing to pull it which made the tooth broken totally.Then she wasted a lot of time to try to pull out the left part but failed though she cut my gum.The tooth was successfully extracted by her colleague. As a result of cutting my gum，I suffered a few days more on the gum pain. 2. The second time as well as the last time today. The other dentist offered me a deep cleaning. As the procedure ，he measured the gum pockets. But he touched the gum very heavily which made me feel very hurt and sore. This never happened in my previous dental clinics which usually do it very gentally.Then He just applied the anesthetic with cotton ball rather than injection. Such operation made me keep tearing which I never experienced in my all previous dental clinics before. That is not all.When I attended to the reception ，I was told I need to pay 1276 bucks as gap payment for a deep cleaning today which was so unbelievable. After communication ，The reception lady said the dentist made mistakes cuz he put the wrong item codes. I paid 266 bucks after they fixed it.That means I would lose 1210 bucks if I did not realize the mistakes they made

Negative experience: Where to start? I have never come across such a poorly run dental practice. From the front desk to the rude, unreasonable "practice manager". When I rang to express my disappointment, I was meet with a unhelpful receptionist & then when I asked to speak to the practice manager I found her to be unsympathetic & very defensive. Quick to blame corporate for the lack of her practice (that she managers). I truly recommend that you walk pass this practice at Belmont.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr Lawrence from HBF Belmont he knows how to deal with kid with autism. He ensures he is safe by explaining what’s he going to do first. Using this method my kid did not panic. When finished he asked my kid how was it, he said he was happy :D so am I as a mother.

Fantastic experience: I have an extreme phobia of going to dentist and surely I am not alone. I have been avoiding going to dentist for years due to this until I cracked my premolar. I took my chances and booked to see Dr Chimmi at the HBF Dental Belmont. Had no choice but to have it taken out due to so much pain. Dr Chimmi is really gentle and accommodating and really put my mind at ease. The whole experience with the practice was very positive. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Chimmi Yuden was very helpful and explained everything clearly. Last year, I went to Asfiya, but she only took an X-ray and told me I needed a lot of cleaning, so she wouldn’t do it that day. I felt really unhappy with her response. I go for cleaning every year, but last year she refused, which made me very upset. That’s why I decided to try with Chimmi, and I’m really happy I did. I will go to her again.

The staff are all so lovely and friendly and explain everything in great detail. Dr Khan is an amazing dentist. So friendly, caring, kind and, most importantly, gentle! Best dental surgery I have ever attended.

Negative experience: Very very unprofessional and unethical receptionist. They change my appointment without my consent and just send me a text saying the appointment has been changed. I called them as I was not able to make it as the time was not suitable for me but the receptionist was not ready to listen.

Fantastic experience: I have not been to the dentist in almost 2 years and was very satisfied with the service provided at Belmont HBF dental. Thorough examination prior general scale and clean with clear explanation of results. The dentist was gentle with scale and clean process to minimise discomfort and gum bleed. Clear 'take home' instructions to maintain oral hygiene to minimise risk of tooth decay. I'd highly recommend Dr. Asfiya Anjum. Place is clean and modern. The clinic has new dental chairs which are very comfortable when it is reclined during the cleaning process.

Fantastic experience: I read a good review of Dr Khan, so I went to see her after procrastinating on a dental visit for so long due to bad experiences at my last couple of dentists. I’m so glad I did, I would highly recommend her if you’re at all nervous about going to the dentist. She made me feel very comfortable and told me how I should fix the issues I had without lecturing me or making me feel embarrassed/ashamed for not taking great care of my teeth up until then. It can be very difficult to go the dentist when you’ve experienced mental health issues that have led to bad dental hygiene, so to have a dentist make you feel so comfortable means a lot.

Negative experience: Ladies are nice but they made me come in for a filling during my 9-5 ( I had to take the afternoon off for the appointment) just to tell me they changed their mind on the procedure and that it isn’t happening. No warning, no call, nothing. I had to miss work & explain to my boss why I didn’t have a medical certificate to support my absence because they refused to give me one even though they scheduled this appointment a week ago. I would have loved to stay at work and earn money for my family than to be stuffed around and loose money. In future call your patients if anything changes. Absolutely ridiculous

Fantastic experience: Dr. Khan was very nice and reception is helpful. There was a cancellation about an hour before my appt from HBF side while I did confirm 3 times to texts over 2 weeks before appointment date. I have had organised to have similar time with my partner and I barely able to make one appointment cos my type of work. I told them I am not happy as this was the 1st time trying to use dental service from HBF since I have been a member for almost 7 years. They pulled out pretty good afterward and tried to fit me back again to the appointment. I was upset but appreciated they at least tried to resolve it. I did understand this could happen with an emergency and etc; however, it did not make me feel any better even I understand the situation as it was my 1st time dental service with HBF. Anyway, I am pretty happy so far now. Thank you very much.

Negative experience: Got charged for the once a year "free" clean because my benefits had been exceeded. Them: 'If you had even 1 cent left in your benefits, we could waive the over $100 expense; since you don't, pay up'. It's December guys! You should tell people this costly technicality before they opt in to something only cause they think its just a freebie. I only wanted the $50 checkup which I was happy to pay for since my benefits are exceeded (again, December). Wont return. *Update*: Practice manager (Gauri?) called me and was argumentative about how the onus is on me to check my annual limits. Fair. But then conceded that she will tell ALL THE DENTAL CENTRES to provide quotes before procedures (which didnt happen when I went) and that they should tell customers that the "free clean" cannot be waived if your benefits dont have even a $0.01 in it. Absolute underhanded greedy technicality and I have to pay for their poor service? Admitting a lapse in their system, and not a smidge of compensation? Disgusting service. Once again, its December, and an HBF DENTAL CENTRE should be aware of HBF PRODUCTS and potential out of pocket expenses for their customers. Otherwise whats the point??

Fantastic experience: Modern, clean, nice, tidy fresh new clinic. The equipments (also the queue) is better than Carousel branch. This clinic is not too crowded, has peaceful waiting area. Me & my kids got very good doctor.

Dr Lawrence was upfront and clear in what was needed and what my options were, checked in throughout the process and didn't finish until I was happy with the result. The best, and possibly only good dental experience I've ever had.
