Negative experience: Bloody ripoff, 500 dollars al up to remove a tooth. And someone should tell that dentist girl she have to wait for the anestetics to take effect before she ripped the tooth out. That was after i told her i can still feel it, but she went ahead and did it anyway. They wont see me again
Hi Hennie, we’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your visit from several weeks ago. Our team always ensures that all treatment options, including costs, are explained clearly before proceeding. The quoted fee included your consultation, a full mouth (OPG) X-ray, and the tooth removal, which were all confirmed prior to treatment. Removing a tooth is a process that requires multiple steps to ensure patient safety and we take this process very seriously.
Two types of local anaesthetic were administered to ensure the area was fully numb before proceeding. In some cases, especially with infected or inflamed teeth, anaesthetic can take longer to take full effect or may not achieve complete numbness despite multiple doses. Our clinician proceeded only after confirming with you that you wished to continue at that same appointment.

Fantastic experience: Can't speak highly enough of this dental service. I have extremely sensitive teeth,,so having a dental clean, hurts a lot!!!!. But the dentist is so caring and understanding. As is her assistant . And Does everything she can to make it less painful. Nicolette on front counter is amazingness. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and less afraid. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm very greatful to everyone there.

Negative experience: Good dentist but very dishonest billing. Charge you extra for everything without telling you first. Take a quick photo of your tooth to show you? $45. Put fluoride on your teeth after (no suggestion it's optional): $50. Overall leaves you feeling ripped off which is a shame as the dentist is nice.

The photo you mentioned was an intra-oral image, this is taken with a specialized intra-oral camera and is used to help accurately diagnose potential oral health concerns and allow you to see exactly what we were seeing — this is a standard diagnostic tool in modern dentistry.
The fluoride treatment was provided at the end of your Check-up & Clean appointment as part of standard preventive care, helping to protect teeth from decay and strengthen enamel. This treatment is not an “extra add-on,” but rather a preventive step that reduces the chance of needing more invasive (and expensive) treatments later down the track.
Both services are common clinical recommendations and are itemized separately on your account, in line with standard dental billing practices.

Fantastic experience: I went into the dentist very scared and nervous right from the moment I walked through the door I meet the receptionist who was aware I was scared she comforted me and assured me that she would let the dentist know, when it was time to go into see the dentist I was pretty worked up and really scared and nervous the dentist sat me down asked what did I need I said I needed a tooth removed she had a look took an X-ray and said yes I did need the tooth removed she asked was I happy to go ahead with removing the tooth I said yes, throughout the whole procedure she kept stopping and asking was I ok telling me to relax and breathe and that everything was going well within a few minutes she said the tooth was out. I can’t highly recommend this dental practice enough from the receptionist, to the dental assistant and the dentist they took the time to make me feel safe and secure enough to have my tooth removed. For anyone who is scared or nervous please come to The Family Dentist you won’t regret going. A huge THANK YOU for making my visit as pleasant as one can be.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, competent and reasonably priced. All staff members are very friendly and welcoming. They made time to fit me in when I was in bind which was much appreciated. My dentist, Dr Karriapper, has been great - efficient and fuss free - and has made me feel comfortable with every procedure I have had so far. Prices are reasonable, especially for Biloela, so that's a nice bonus.

Fantastic experience: My phobia : dentists !!!! After a not great experience as a child with dentists ( think 10 teeth out in the chair within 5 days and your tongue clamped down so you can’t swallow) , I have avoided dentists as much as I can . But I’ve been to Dr Fahd twice in the last few weeks for 2 fillings and he’s been amazing and very understanding. From the lovely, friendly receptionist to the dental staff, I can’t fault them . Would defs recommend !

Negative experience: Two xrays taken and only realised they were being taken when the dentist left the room. Charged $518 for a filling. Still had pain after filling, went back and was told not to chew on that side of mouth. Two days later I rang to make appointment to have tooth out. Was called back later same day to say sorry but we are not confident enough to remove tooth, go somewhere else! Went to Ace Dental and had tooth removed for only $234, LESS THAN HALF OF THE COST OF PREVIOUS FILLING. Debbie Abell

Fantastic experience: Visited the practice today to have a tooth removed, I was seen by Dr Ham, he was absolutely incredible. Took amazing care of me and my fear, also made me aware I needed two teeth removed. I can't commend these guys enough they are always accommodating and amazing super happy.

Fantastic experience: My partner went in today with a tooth ache she had been complaining about for a week. They squeezed her in last minute and had a wisdom tooth removed that afternoon. The doctor even turned around from his trip home to see her. She is very happy with the results and the pain is gone. Couldn’t recommend the staff enough.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Dr Shaba today and I highly recommend her. She is so gentle and yet thorough even with my filling. I have receded gums and sensitive teeth but somehow she managed to cause me absolutely no pain. It was the best dentist experience I have ever had in my 42 years and I will happily go back for any needed visits.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Paid for a consultation regarding 2 tooth aches, was told I would receive a treatment plan within 2 weeks had heard nothing by 5 weeks, rang and emailed and still 8 weeks in heard nothing back. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Life Saviour !! During my visit to Sandstone Wonders in Biloela I experienced discomfort in my teeth. The pain wasn't bearable and I couldn't have enjoyed my time in Biloela or driven back to Townsville in such discomfort. Biloela Dental came to my rescue on weekend. It was so easy to schedule an urgent appointment over the phone and the dentist took good care. Thank You Biloela Family Dental for offering such a wonderful service during the weekend.
