Fantastic experience: The vets here are empathetic, honest and upfront about any questions you have about your pet’s care or the fees. Over the last year MVH has treated our cat and dog with emergency care after horrible accidents, as well as routine dentistry. During a stressful time they’ll reassure you and they’re also very honest if is something out of their scope (our dog needed a specific type of specialist). Dr Yoke Tan and Dr. Sarah Park are fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this clinic for a couple of years now and I’m always so impressed with the genuine care I receive from not only the vets, but from the front of house crew as well. I have recently had quite an issue with my cat and had to visit the clinic every day for the last four days and they have been incredible with handling my cat and me! They are so thorough and full of empathy! I highly recommend this vet for anyone who is nervous about attitude or service or who have had bad experiences elsewhere. And they’ve just renovated so it looks incredible as well!

Fantastic experience: We went to the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital mainly to get some advice concerning a little lamb we had in our care since it had been neglected by its mom. Tanya was very helpful and went out of her way to give us as much information as possible. This practice doesn’t specialise in farm animals, which is understandable, but we felt the deep sense of care and compassion. We were able to purchase some items that would be helpful in looking after the lamb and got directions where to get some additional food supplements from a shop nearby.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to all the entire team at MVH. The amazing vets, nurses and receptionists for all your care of Shiloh over the last week (and over his whole life too!) It has been reassuring knowing that he is in good hands with you all. You’ve all been wonderful. We really appreciate all your time and effort with him. Thank you for all that you do!

The Vets, nursing staff, admin staff are second to none and i wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. This is my 4th Australian terrier to be cared for by the staff at MVH since my fist visit in 1993. Fantastic experience: Having recently lost our beloved Lily, our Maltese 'Princess' I would like to put up some observations about MVH. All of the Vets have been fantastic with Lily and us, as her owners. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, be they Reception, Nurses or Vets. We were given plenty of time and information about Lily over the last year. We never felt rushed in the appointments, our questions were always answered and we never felt that Lily was " over treated". Everything was realistic, manageable and reasonably priced. All of these factors are what a pet owner needs to know. After Lily's passing, we received a lovely bunch of flowers and a card, plus a follow up phone call a week later to see how we were all getting on without Lily. Several weeks later, the Vets generously gave their time to speak to our adult daughter and help her through the grief of Lily's passing. We would highly recommend MVH for your pet, as everyone is very professional and knowledgeable about their work.

Fantastic experience: The entire team at Moorabbin Vet are supportive, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Our little pup Willow needed a lot of attention last year (2 knee surgeries and spent a few days at the vet for dehydration), and the team went out of their way to show her so much love and helped keep our anxiety/stress levels as low as possible with regular communication and check ins. We are so grateful for their help. We now travel 40 mins each way to continue using them as our regular vets

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best vet care is given by the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital staff. We used to take our Guinea Pig Cookie here and now our dog Zaar. The staff are amazing, super knowledgeable and very helpful. Zaar gets excited to come visit the vets and is never scared. He has unfortunately had a few incidents requiring medical attention and the doctors, nurses and the reception staff have always been there and offered the best treatment, care and support possible. Fantastic experience: I started taking my 2 cats here a couple of years ago and they are great. Recently one of my cats was injured and we have been in every few days and the whole team have gone above and beyond. I couldn’t be happier with his treatment from Dr Jennibelle, Hayley and the others whose names I can’t remember (sorry)! I highly recommend them and am so glad I found them. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: Dr Rhona has been an incredible experience over the last 5 consecutive weeks of care for my clients dog Lady. My client who has had a bad past experience with vets was very soon put at ease with Dr Rhona's bedside manner, empathy and her care in animals and their health. Although it was not the end result we wanted, Rhona handled everything with such expertise and compassion for my client as well as her dog. We have now been referred to an eye specialist and we can only hope for the best moving forward. Thank you for your care!

Fantastic experience: Have been attending this vet for many years with our cats and as a family for over 30 years. The staff have always been friendly and nice to deal with, being animal lovers themselves. Facility hours are the best in the area, being open 7 days a week. Clean facility and quick to get an appointment. We have always been pleased with the time taken to explain everything, but even when we had concerns, the team are happy to explain things further and alleviate those concerns.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my 10 year old fur baby here for a major dental procedure which I was terrified of doing. The staff were all amazing and made me feel so much better about having Kuda put under. I honestly couldn't recommend anymore! The only place I would trust to take him from now on - everyone was amazing!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, very nice, affordable

Negative experience: The whole experience was lacking - but would have been ok if it wasn’t for the Review Consultation. There appeared to be no real handover from the original Vet to the Reviewing Vet. The 2nd Vet didn’t even read the file notes. I don’t know if the file notes were adequate or not, but there should be a pre-defined handover procedure. I am really not happy with the Review nor am I confident that things are ok with my dog after $$$ surgery. The original surgery, after care, and nurse involvement were all good (not perfect but good) and I would rate that at around 4 stars. The Review has left me concerned and unsure as to whether or not I need a second opinion. ***Update: I had a call from the principal Vet asking me to change my review. He didn’t address my issues: he just wanted me to change the review. The response (to my review) from the practice, is really a bit of a stretch. Firstly, the title of the practice includes HOSPITAL so I do expect things to be shuffled around when an operation is required, and I do expect you to be highly skilled at that. If the operating vet had to work overtime, then she should received overtime, TIL, etc, the cost of the surgery was more than enough to cover this. That my dog remained overnight, well this happens, she was far too sedated to come home. I provided all of her food and snacks. Nurses were excellent! When a client writes a negative review, the recipient has the opportunity to address the issue and this can result in a negative review becoming a positive review. The worst possible outcome, is when a client votes with their feet.

Fantastic experience: With a long history of pets and four now, it is easy to notice a good diagnostician vet . Highly recommend Sarah Parker who has advised on difficult matters and is also empathetic and kind to both pet and worried owner! Friendly staff at the reception helps the experience a lot.

Fantastic experience: We are grateful to the amazing team at Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital! Our dogs ate a bag of chocolates each, and we raced them straight there. They acted quickly, offering expert care and reassurance. Jenny, John and the staff were compassionate and professional, keeping us informed throughout. Our pups are doing great now, thanks to their quick response. We have been taking all our animals to MVH for over 50 years, and they have always gone above and beyond in looking after our animals.

Really friendly front desk staff and nurses and clean facilities and work-friendly operating hours with late night trading. I especially appreciated the sms reminders and email links to complete required paperwork ahead of appointments. Dr Jenny is a wonderful vet - Really took the time to assess my Italian Greyhound thoroughly and understand his history and recommend the appropriate course of dental treatment that minimized pain and delivered good outcomes while being up front and reasonable with pricing. Went to this clinic as a second opinion after moving from interstate and so glad I did! Took great care of my pup during his dental surgery, provided SMS updates of his progress once out of surgery and called me as soon as he was ready to go home. I'll happily take him back for his yearly health checks :) Great experience!

Fantastic experience: The Moorabbin AEC was amazing and helped me out in a dire situation and my pets were safe because of them. I'd like to particularly thank their receptionist and training vet Jasmine for her quick thinking on the phone and hospitality when I arrived!

Negative experience: Brought my parents dog Milo a few months ago. Milo is 11 years old, and had glaucoma in one of the eyes, and was poorly that day. The vet suggested an operation on one of his eyes. When I said my elderly parents who are on the pension could not afford such a hefty bill, and its risky to put an elderly dog under anaesthetic and what other options we had, she casually said we should euthanise him that week. Two moths later we have a happy dog, who eats, goes for walks etc. I thought that comment was very inappropriate, considering she only saw Milo for 10 min, and had very little info about him. I still find it very upsetting when I think back on that visit. I do not remember the vet''s name, but would not recommend her

Fantastic experience: My partner & I brought our 14 year old husky, Simba this morning for an emergency appointment. From the beginning, the lady on the phone (I’m so sorry I forgot your name) showed empathy and concern- something my own vet for over 10+ years did not show when I rang them. We saw Dr.Jennibelle who showed the same concerns we had for our boy. More importantly, she listened to us, answered every question we had and gave us the hope we were looking for in proper care for Simba. Thank you, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring him back to your care in his later stages of life.

Fantastic experience: We had two incorrect diagnoses at two other vet hospitals before meeting Dr John. We found out about this clinic too late. If we had known about this clinic earlier, our Zora girl would still be with us today. The team went above and beyond to help us during a critical time, despite only meeting us for the first time that day. The heart felt care we received was better than our previous vet who we had known for more than 18 years. We will only ever take our current & any future dogs to Dr John.

Fantastic experience: The vet was able to quickly see our puppy (who had eaten a foreign object) with very little notice and slightly before opening time. Very impressed with the service.

The adoption process for my kitten was seamless and I was given all of the information and resources I needed. The same goes for his recent check-ups & appointments - I couldn't ask for a better vet clinic & team.

Fantastic experience: Back in October 2021, our regular vet was (thanks to COVID) too busy to see our Bichon when his condition deteriorated. So with a quick google I found myself an appointment at the Moorabbin Vet Hospital within in 24hrs. The staff were polite and accommodating, showing us nothing but compassion and sympathy while we navigated the passing of our boy. From the moment we walked in the door both front and back of House teams went beyond the call of duty to help, making us feel like we were 'regulars' and nothing was too much trouble. Now I happily travel 20minutes to receive care (and lots of kisses and cuddles) for our new puppy. I can not thank MVH enough for welcoming us into their 'family'

Negative experience: Very poor service. I brought my cat in as he had a swollen tummy, was told it would have to be drained but they didn’t have time. They did half and was told to bring back my cat on Monday to do the rest. Then tried to pay the bill but the staff member ignored me and continued to have an aimless conversation. This used to be a wonderful place to bring my pets but it has slowly gone downhill.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely place to take your animals. Kate was the original receptionist who was always lovely and engaging. Would take my dog in just to say hello if I was walking past. Unfortunately she no longer works there but all staff seem caring and compassionate.

Fantastic experience: I came across Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital during Christmas as my cat got into an accident and broke her leg. This clinic has been absolutely remarkable, i could not recommend enough. I am not even from the area but willing to travel for the quality of service, kind and caring staff that I am constantly greeted with. Not only were they super informative, but i also felt that they genuinely cared and wanted to help at the most economical price. After spending hours prior calling other clinics and animal hospitals, only to receive ridiculous prices, I came across Moorabbin Vet Hospital. They saw me straight away ( even on a public holiday), had the MOST reasonable price i had ever come across and actually gave me proper information. I was updated via email and text, the service was unmatched. I am so grateful to all the reception staff and the VET Jenny who performed my cats surgery. After several weeks of bad luck, finding this clinic was a true blessing. I will most definitely be travelling there from here on out!

Fantastic experience: The saddest day arrived on Monday when we had to make that awful decision to put our beautiful 11 year old terrier to sleep. As everyone knows as you’re reading this post it’s heartbreaking . With the covid situation as it is , some clinics won’t allow you in as a couple to say your final farewell , however, John and his wonderful team allowed my husband and I to be with Ted as he got his wings to fly while both cuddling him in the car with the sun shining outside. An experience that no pet owner wants to go through was made as best it could by this kind practice. Please chose these guys, you will never be disappointed by their level of expertise and compassion.

Fantastic experience: Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital is the best vets I've ever been to. The doctors are friendly, knowledgeable and good at explaining issues and options for treatment. They provide great behavioral advice and general advice for a pets well being. The receptionists and nurses are also second to none and create a really welcoming atmosphere. I've been going to them for roughly 5 years now and have seen several different doctors and all have been good. Even the passing of one of my pets was greatly eased by their considerate handling of such a difficult event. I honestly can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: The medical staff at Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital helped me and my cat through the painful but necessary process of diagnosing my cat's terminal condition and the very thoughtful and caring experience of euthanasia. I wish to thank them.

Negative experience: Took my cat in one afternoon due to him not moving and not eating. On arrival we were told he had a very high temp around the 41 mark and they would like to keep him overnight to run test and get him on fluids. The next morning they called me to tell me his temp had risen with his blood test results and ultrasound coming back in gold condition. They kept him for 2 nights, climbing the bill to 1500 to be told they don't know what's wrong with him and these things happen. Animals just fall sick with no explanation and there was nothing more they could do. Upset and still having a sick cat, I took him to another vet to find out he has fiv. It has been almost 2 weeks and my cat is still sick and running a fever. I was sent home with no explanations. He is now bring cared for by a new vet that won't rob me of my money and give me awnsers.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say thank you to the team at MVH, especially Dr Aoibheann for saving our cat's life yesterday. We were fearing the worst with the diagnosis of heart failure, and are so glad that he is able to come home with us the same day. We have been going to MVH for a few years, and have always received the best advice and care for our cat.

Thankyou so much to Dr. Aoibheann Clarke for always treating my cat Chilli with gentleness and compassion and for your expert care. Aiobheann always took time to explain in detail Chilli’s incurable condition and our options, however we never felt rushed and our wishes were always respected. Also a big thankyou to Kate who displayed great understanding and compassion and who went above and beyond to assist in her final arrangements. If I get a new addition I know where I will go for expert veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: We have also taken our dog and one of our cats here, the staff are amazing and treat your animal like their own. My daughter and i both go in just to say hello to Mia the cat and also Jemima , Jenny's dog. Would definitely recommend to anyone
