All the staff are so lovely and accommodating however Dr Moon is so efficient, provides comfort and tells you exactly what she is doing whilst frequently checking in to make sure you're OK. Couldn't recommend more, 11/10!

Fantastic experience: Do recommend this business, they are good at their job, pleasant to deal with and let's be honest who likes going to a dentist. Having moved around a lot this is the best I've been to & happy to go back for regular checkups. As we all know dentistry is expensive so you're going to pay, so you just as well go to a dental business that educates you, is welcoming, not out to overservice you, fit you in as required and get the job done with minimum hassle & pain.

I have been really nervous about dentist appointments in the past however Moon was understanding and I felt really calm in her room. She was extremely thorough and I left the appointment with a clear plan for my teeth health that I’m now excited to achieve. Fantastic experience: Very happy to have been accomadated with very short notice as I unfortunately had that nightmare painful sending me half crazy holding my jaw with both hands walking down the street looking like a man trying to rip his head off his shoulders. The team at Aura are very professional and did a bit of magic so my arms gently sway by thier sideas they are supposed to. My tooth ache is gone so I'm a very happy living man.... Hahaha someone might get that last almost in-house joke

Fantastic experience: Would just like to send my thanks and gratitude to Simon and staff. I have been going to this practice for a while now and I have always been treated with respect. My interactions with everyone have been friendly and helpful. Thanks to them all from a very nervous, anxious patient.

Negative experience: I called Aura Dental, (where I have been before), to make an appointment for a clean. I was told by reception that I must first make an appointment to have a “full check up and X-rays” before I can make a second appointment for a clean. I politely questioned these comments, as I had never heard of it before. The receptionist placed me onto a second person who confirmed that I “must get a full check and full X-rays before a clean”. She then informed me that Aura was just “following guidelines set by the ADA” (Australian Dental Association), and should I have a problem with that, “then call the ADA”. So immediately after speaking with Aura, I did call the ADA. I explained to the ADA what I had been told by Aura Dental. ADA told me that I was not told the truth. The ADA said that it was not necessary for a person to have X-rays before a clean, and that the ADA “cannot enforce such guidelines”. The ADA then recommended I seek out another dentist, and in fact recommended a dental hygienist for a clean instead. I was informed that a dental hygienist will give me a more thorough clean. ADA then offered me some contact details for a few in my area, and I wrote down their phone numbers. I phoned Aura back and asked to speak to the Manager. I was informed ‘Nat’ was on another call and would call me straight back. The next day, I called the practice to speak to Nat, as he didn’t return my call. I was informed by reception that he did try to call me twice. However, there was no record of an incoming call, that I did not answer, on my iPhone. I was informed that Nat would definitely call me the following morning. Nat did call the next morning, and started the call, not by being apologetic, but by confirming what his reception told me. I told him I had contacted ADA, and that I was told a lie by his staff. After mincing his words for a while, Nat finally stated that he “apologised if I had been miscommunication to”. I then had to explain to Nat, who spoke over me on more than one occasion, that it was not a miscommunication, but in fact a lie. The ADA was very specific that what Aura staff told me was not true, and that a patient did not have to get X-rays etc, just to get a clean. It is one thing for a practitioner to suggest a procedure, but it is completely unethical and immoral to categorically state that a patient MUST undergo extra treatment at the patient’s extra cost, claim it was guided by the regulatory body, and then dance around the fact when they are caught out. Shame on their dirty practices. I did however, give them two stars in this review, because prior to this fiasco, my family did very much like one of Aura’s dentists, who I did not get the chance to speak to about Aura’s handling of this issue. However, I shall be seeing another practitioner from the contacts that the ADA provided me with.

Fantastic experience: Aura Dental is a clean, modern, and spacious dental clinic with the most kind, caring, and gentle staff and dental practitioners. There is no better dental practice in the Wide Bay area.
