Negative experience: I dont know why these people keep auto-booking meetings like its going to trick me into becoming their customer.. Unethical behaviour like this is why dentists in Australia are largely viewed as unprofessional and more akin to salesmen amongst their international counterparts.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed in the chair by Dr Camillo and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The procedure was quick (about 20 minutes once I was numb) and I had absolutely no pain the next day. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: “Absolutely disappointed with the service from Camilo Ríos. He was rude and unprofessional during the entire consultation, showing no empathy at all. I specifically chose this clinic because they advertised a Spanish-speaking dentist, but in reality he refused to attend me in Spanish. Misleading and very disappointing.”

Negative experience: The dentist’s room was extremely small and cramped, with no space for basic equipment like a cuspidor. This made it uncomfortable for me as a patient, since I had to rinse and spit into plastic cups handed to me by the assistant. Holding two cups while lying back in the chair felt awkward and unprofessional, it is not something patients should have to manage. If you are claustrophobic, this space would be especially difficult to tolerate. Another issue was the dentist’s height. Because she could not reach my mouth comfortably, she tilted the chair so far back that I felt blood rushing to my head. When I raised this concern, she brushed it off and simply said, “You’ll be right,” which didn’t feel reassuring. The entire appointment, exam, scale, clean, and treatment was rushed and over in less than 15 minutes. It felt incomplete and lacked the care and attention I would normally expect. I won’t be returning.

Negative experience: Have had an appointment booked for wisdom teeth extraction for two months, Have organised my work roster around the surgery, dipped into my annual leave, received my confirmation message acknowledging my appointment the week of, called them 2 days before said appointment to see what my pre-surgery requirements were only to have the receptionist tell me “oh sorry, you’re appointments been cancelled, someone should have told you”. Amateur hour at best, absolute joke of a practise.

Negative experience: I wouldn't bother going for teeth cleaning here. Every clean and check up I've ever had at other pracrices has been a 50 minute appointment where I leave with squeaky clean teeth. However, today at Pacific Smiles Brookvale I was in and out in less than 25 minutes and my teeth certainly don't feel like they've been professionally cleaned. Despite explaining that I have a history of gum issues and deep gum pockets that need deep, vigorous cleaning and the purpose of the visit being for that, I certainly don't feel like any consideration was given to that. Rather than starting on one side and working around, the way the dentist moved around my mouth ad-hoc, there's no surprise that one whole side of my mouth doesn't even feel touched as I don't know how he kept track of where they'd been. In the history of dentitst visits, I've also never rinsed my mouth and seen not a spec of blood (it normally looks like a blood bath), but that isn't surprising as I also never felt a water pick go under my gum line once. After the briefest, barely surface level cleaning ever and a set of rays, I was pushed out the door with a quote for almost $700 in extra work, and most likely only one of those fillings is actually necessary. It might be great there was no gap payment because of my health insurance, but now over $260 is gone from my dental benefits and I'm only to have to book in somewhere else to get my teeth cleaned properly.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely happy experience with Dr. Fraser. My 11 years old son used to be scared of coming to dentist. Dr. Fraser made the whole treatment relaxing. He was knowledgeable, attention to details, patient to kids. With the post treatment care, he explained in details, make it easier for the parent.

Negative experience: The dentists at this practice have so far been outstanding and I have never had a problem with my treatment. However, I had booked in for a teeth whitening appointment and have had some sensitive twinges over the past week. Over the weekend, that seemed to calm down. They were worse again this morning. I called and explained my reason for postponing the appointment and they have charged me $50 because I didn't call 24 hours beforehand. It's not the money that has led me to give them 1 star - it's that they could not have cared less that I will no longer be going to their clinic and neither will my son. All they wanted was their $50. Their cancellation policy says that they "may" charge a cancellation fee. I said that I could still come in so that patients in the waiting room could hear me in pain but I didn't think that was a good idea. @Pacific Smiles, please do not respond with an automated message that reminds me of your policy. Or one that directs me to your customer email.

Fantastic experience: I have had the best experience here. I’ve been to more than one dentist and have been thoroughly impressed by everyone I’ve seen. They take time to answer all my questions and have helped me to manage my sensitive teeth. They always accommodate my toddler during the visit by putting on Peppa Pig for him so I can bring him along. Plus I love the fact that I walk away paying nothing with their ‘no gap’ pricing. Amazing!!!

Negative experience: I don’t recommend pacific smiles dental. You may be lucky and get a great dentist but I was told I needed a filling, which I booked in a few months later with a different dentist. I arrived and she had a look, and decided I didn’t need a filling. I was stoked but also annoyed cos I had to pay for the general appt. Fast forward to now where my new dentist with another business says I 100% never needed a filling and had been told by many people that they do dental work there that may not need to done. I’d avoid

Negative experience: Update … as per response below sent customer experience an email and have heard NOTHING further. After being placed on hold on the phone for some time I went online to make a couple of bookings at the Brookvale Practice and got an email confirmation via for one of my appointment bookings. I then tried to book my daughters appointment (appointment straight after) but suddenly the time slot I had just booked (and received confirmation) became available online again . Then the time slot disappeared along with all time slots for around that time. Although the practise are alluding to IT issues it would appear that someone in the practise deleted my booking for another customer (long appointment) then refused to honour my booking even though I booked it first and received a booking confirmation . Not a fair system.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr Gilks for a couple of years now, and she has always been friendly, professional and caring. She is always attentive, explains everything that she's doing and takes care to ensure that there is as little discomfort/pain as possible during the process. She also takes a lot of pride in doing a great job, and is obviously very passionate about her work. Would recommend for those who are nervous when it comes to seeing the dentist - she will make you feel at ease!

Fantastic experience: I live about 40mins away from here but always make the trip so that I can have my checkups with Dr Gilks. She is very professional and instantly puts me at ease and will walk me through all my options in a down to earth way.

Negative experience: My first appointment got changed 3 times on the day, my second appointment got reschedule to another day and then Smile wanted to reschedule that appointment to yet another day. I was definitely not smiling !!! The customer service was not good enough for an ahm recommended dentist.

Negative experience: No bathroom not helpful when you have small children…. Clean, no waiting. However wouldn’t say the service was that friendly.

Negative experience: Useless Practise! Walked in, introduced myself and said I was there for an 11:30 appointment for Dr Gilks. Filled out Covid form n paperwork, handed back. Sat down for 45 mins (only person in waiting room) before the same imbecile that did my paperwork asked if I was there for an appointment only to tell me that there was no booking... Showed email confirming by booking and they just played the “IT problems” bull$#*+ Overpriced and front desk useless.

Fantastic experience: What a shame that such a great dentists works there. Dr.measuria was amazing. Did my treatments and iv spent over $5000 on few treatments. I just had two really really crazy treatments done for over two hours! Completely in pain. And dentist did absolutely an amazing job. When reached to the reception to pay$1750 for my treatment she decided to speak to her friends... then she asked me to wait... then comes back I could no longer wait and she very rudely says can you sit down can you sit down!!! I’m sorry finish your personal talk on your own time! I was so shocked and so appalled by the way she treated me! Then I couldn’t stay there any longer so I went to the car. Y husband stayed to pay and she did exactly the same. Please if the owner reads this tell that lady who works in reception to learn some manners. And be empathetic towards patients. And stop ruining such a great dental practice. Four girls surrounding the reception taking... talking and not a care in the world about the patient who just had her tooth pulled out for one hour plus duration! Who does that? I am not acting like an entitled princess. Any other day I honestly couldn’t care less if I had to wait. Iv worked in customer service and you have your good and bad days. But tbh I had my tooth pulled out on one side which took over an hour to perform as it was so hard to extract. Then I had my second last treatment for a crown after root canal. Either side of my mouth was treated. Whole express painless and dr was absolutely amazing. At the end he walked me to the reception desk, quickly add my other appointment and did a very quick job as he knew I just wanted to go home. Very empathetic. Those ladies man! What is up with them? Don’t you have empathy? Working at a medical practice you need to understand how to prioritise. I have my final appointment in two weeks which I canceled now that I don’t want to go there. But I also don’t want anyone else to complete my crown but doctor Measuria. Please whoever is in charge get back to me and let me know if any other days and location where I could see the same dentist! Literally have spent over 5000 now and I am not gonna let these bullies who call themselves receptionists lose my moneys worth. Thank you. Five stars just for the dentist!

I got my crowns and veneers done with Dr Celeste on my front teeth, she was amazing! The teeth look natural and she is gentle, efficient and painless while working. Negative experience: *ENTER AT YOUR RISK* Went in for a check up & clean with consultation as I knew my wisdom teeth had come through, and by the end of the clean “Dr. Choi” filed my teeth crooked. I can’t believe it. I was charged $190 for my teeth to be permanently ruined.
