David my dentist who did my Vaneers is an absolute genius and an artist. Honestly changed my life. These vaneers are the best on the coast!

Negative experience: Been to the dentist twice in the last two months. Obvious that my records (4 years) had been lost. All the regular dentists have left. Went recently, Dr David (the owner) typed away on the computer while I sat there for about 15 minutes obviously trying to put all my details back. In the last two visits he has been rude and arrogant. I won't be returning and my whole family will be going to a new (quality) dentist. Disappointing as up until recently, this was a great place, now every person you see looks miserable.

After having a disappointing experience with two other dentists who dismissed my pain - both of whom completed unnecessary work that cost $ and left me in excruciating pain for over four days. Amazing Smiles went above and beyond to help me find the cause of my discomfort and provide relief. I ended up requiring an emergency tooth extraction. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for years but recently got composite vaners done (usually just go for check up and clean so this was abit of a different appointment). I was there for about 2 hours and the whole time the staff were so lovely, always checking up on me and making sure I’m not too uncomfortable. Before I decided to get composites my dentist gave me all my options on how to correct my teeth. The composites I have are also very high quality, I’ve had them for about a year and they are still so nice to look at. The best part is being able to have a nice smile that I’m not insecure about. Thank you to all the brilliant staff at amazing smiles dentist, especially front desk staff. always look forward to coming to your dentist.

Negative experience: Freindly courteous staff, but the the dentist was rough as guts, skimped on anesthetic even after I told them that I usually require extra, and definitely the most expensive I have ever been to for the same treatment. Almost double what I previously paid.

Fantastic experience: Came here after I had a cavity appear on my molar that was bigger than expected after I dug it out. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The front desk ladies were quick and so nice. They were able to get me in for a procedure asap to take away the pain. They remembered me on the return trip to finish up my procedure. Dr Riaz and his assistant were do amazing and they are so kind. Definitely recommend this place and Dr Riaz and his assistant.

Unfortunately for me, I’ve visited many over my 40 odd years and I’ve always left with the concept of only visiting a dentist if I really have to. Due to this past trauma with dental work, I had delayed the extensive work needed until I was in excruciating pain. The team here created an appointment for me within hours. From the moment you enter the reception Vikki and the team here are so welcoming and friendly. Dr Roben is hands down THE loveliest dentist. He takes great care with his work and takes the time to explain the process ahead. I believe you can tell a great deal about a dentist by the way they communicate and work with their dental assistants and team. Affordable, very clean, friendly atmosphere and a Dentist that cares with great quality of work! I will continue to happily book an appointment with Amazing Smiles Nerang.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Smiles have been looking after my teeth for over 12 years. I've seen the team for braces, cleans and most recently, a couple of wisdom tooth extractions - which are never fun! While dentist appointments still make me nervous sweat, seeing the familiar faces (especially Paula on reception) always puts me at ease. Today was no exception. After a nasty gum infection, I was booked in for a wisdom tooth extraction with Dr Riaz. His friendliness and professionalism during the procedure left me feeling like I had no reason to worry. Dr Riaz and his lovely assistant explained everything they were doing, checked in with me frequently, and with minimal discomfort, the whole thing was over before I knew it. I can't speak for everyone but my experiences have always been positive. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: My husband had the worst dental experience. He went to Amazing Smiles Nerang to get a tooth pulled, half of his tooth fell off during the examination. During examination the doctor told him that he didn’t have time to pull the tooth, but could drill the nerve out and do a root canal. He gave my have a husband the injection, then left the room and did not return for a long time, after a while my husband went and looked for him and found him doing another procedure with a patient in another room down the passageway, was told then by the dental nurse that it was a standard procedure for Dr David to do two procedures at one time. Dr David eventually came and did the drilling out of the nerve and was so flat out, obviously time was the issue, didn’t worry about pain he caused. Would never go back!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Riaz and his beautiful assistant made my dental journey as comfortable as possible. My teeth needed so much work. He is the first dentist to actually listen to what I wanted. We talked out some options and I was able to made a decision I wanted. Considering my fear is dentists he made so much effort in helping me. I can not fault my experience. My teeth are now beautiful. From the moment you sit with Dr Riaz you instantly calm down. Amazing man. As well as an amazing dentist. I live over 6 hours away. I will not hesitate to drive the distance for any dental work needed.

Fantastic experience: I rang Amazing Smiles at about 9am - my 90 YO Mum had lost a tooth and I needed an urgent appointment - Mum had just moved into the Nerang area so did not have any connection to Dentists in the area. Paula got us in at a time that worked for me (needing to drive 30km) and Mum seemed to love her new Dentist. Thank You guys

Negative experience: Had 3 crowns done about a decade ago. One has fallen out four times. One is currently being treated, as they didn't do the root canal properly and an abscess formed under it. One is fine, so far.

Fantastic experience: Had only good experiences at Amazing Smiles. Friendly staff. Fillings done really well. No pushy sales for unnecessary work. They also do reminder calls the day before which is handy.

Negative experience: To be avoided. When I attended Amazing Smiles I blown away by how unprofessional they were. During a routine filling the younger of the dentists there managed to cut my tongue open with the burr/drill. Upon realising what he had done he started to joke with the dental nurse assisting him and tried to play down what had just occurred. There was A LOT of blood and I suffered a severe cut on the side of my tongue. This made my recovery take weeks longer and the dentist did not apologize or seem to care about what he had done. I am still facing issues because of this incident, including scar tissue and damage to that area of the tongue that was cut. When I called to say my tongue was still bad and asked for a follow up appointment, the receptionist booked me in. I confirmed this time via text and attended my appointment the next day. The receptionist said I had arrived late, but she checked the wrong appointment time and I was forced to reschedule. This cost me even more time off work due to having to wait for another day/appointment time. So it seems the unprofessionalism extends to the reception staff also. Do yourself a favour and look just along the road a little to a MUCH better practise with professional staff known as True Dental. The dentist and reception staff there are AMAZING, which only solidified in my mind just how poor Amazing Smiles are. I only wish I had gone there first and avoided Amazing Smiles to begin with.

Negative experience: Had am awful experience with failed extraction of my wisdom teeth with Dr. David Mai at Nerang. He was highly unprofessional, rude to me and the nurse. Sent me home with almost no vision on one eye (due to anesthetics) and needing emergency surgery but never explained how bad it was. While I understand that things can go wrong, it was about how he and the staff managed it all. This was over 2 months ago and i am still traumatized about the experience.

Fantastic experience: Going to a dentist is a nightmare! until I meet Dr Jolie. I have many bad experiences in the past not to mention which dentist. Recently I have been to Dr.Jolie and was impress as she takes pride in her job, Dr Jolie is patience and listen to my problems and go thru every single problem. Organise what suppose to be done, did a clean up and fix my issues in one single visit. Was very happy will certainly recommend anyone who wants a caring yet skillful dentist on the Gold Coast. 10 Stars! I double it.

Negative experience: Three years I’ve been attending this dentist. They are never on time. Today I waited to be checked in for 10 minutes, and then waited longer to see someone while dentists and hygienists strolling casually round. I’ve never seen the same dentist twice and lately, the dentist has been very rough. Update a week later: I visited Starklinic at Hope Island, they advertise a no pain solution. It was as advertised, and I was in the dentist chair right on time.

Fantastic experience: An amazing dentist. I have been going to Amazing Smiles for the past 6 years and I can’t recommend David and his team enough. I had to have a tooth out yesterday ( second tooth I have had removed) and I am totally amazed by his professionalism and expertise. I haven’t had to take any pain relief whatsoever and a day later I wouldn’t even know I had to have a tooth extraction. my biggest fear is going to the dentist but now I am adamant I will be going every 6 months for a check up ... A very very happy girl.

Negative experience: I first went here a couple years ago when there were government grants of about $2000 for dental work. And they were so amazing I went back to get dentures for my top teeth, when I went in they said they can't do anything without a $150 clean. I agreed and afterwards they told me all my had to be removed and there was no other option so I should just book it in straight away but I'll have to pay the $10000 up front. I left and went to a UC Dental closer to home who told me it would cost maximum $5000 including dentures and they only need to remove the top teeth not the bottom. Amazing smiles Nerang is money hungry and put their greed before your well-being. Definitely look around.

Fantastic experience: The team at Nerang are your number 1 go to for all dental work. With such a positive “family friendly” type work environment, great service from start to finish and the communication with there clients making you feel like an actual customer and not just a number I couldn’t be more happy to give them 5 stars. I was fortunate enough to have David give me a new smile by replacing existing dentures with composite veneers, a custom half cap gold grill to protect the front 4 pearly whites and a whole lot of confidence to go with it

Negative experience: David is rude rough depending on the day he is having if you smoke don't go he has no tolarence for smokers I'm absolutely terrified of dentist had a panic attack all he did for me was yell at me didn't even give me anything to put in my mouth to stop the bleeding after an extraction walked out of his practice shaking and blood all over my face do not recommend him at all

Fantastic experience: Wonderful customer service

Negative experience: Had a tooth filled while pregnant by them that resulted in an abscess, I opted for an extraction to allow for a dental implant and was left with a broken tooth socket and major bone loss resulting in a bone graft being needed for a replacement dental implant. The dentist left me with large pieces of broken bone chips that took 9 weeks to slowly push themselves out of any open socket. He refused to cut the tooth into pieces and spent what felt like 30 minutes rotating the tooth side to side without attempting to lift. It was a traumatic experience and resulted in weeks of pain and inability to eat having had a tooth removed years prior I was not aware nor wad I told you could fracture and create bone loss like he did. Would not recommend them after this experience

Fantastic experience: I had serious pain, and they helped me within hours. Super nice reception ladies, Dr David is an ace and the nurses were excellent. Honestly I'd seen the Google rating before going here and after reading some reviews I was a little concerned, but these people deserve better and truly do a great service.

I am from Melbourne and Due to an emergency i came across Dr David, he opened his practice on a Sunday to help me with a broken tooth. from the moment he helped me I knew he would be my dentist for good. his years of experience, professionalism and his perfectionism confirmed my instinct immediately, so much so that i decided to do all 10 crowns with David and I flew up from Melbourne again to have this done and my teeth came out brilliantly, David was like an artist creating a masterpiece and my friends are amazed by the results. Fantastic experience: Ive had 3 wisdom teeth removed here, 2 fillings, routine dental work, and my mum had her orthodontic work here as well. Excellent practice, easiest removals and fillings I've ever had. Paula the receptionist is amazing and Dr David is the go to guy for your wisdom teeth. All other dentists I've seen there have been lovely and very competent as well, take the time to explain what you need to do and what you're doing right. Thanks so much Amazing Smiles!

Fantastic experience: What a lovely team of people. My friend needed emergency treatment in Gold Coast whilst on holidays from Scotland. The dentist was wonderful and able to fit my friend in at short notice and continued to be supportive by answering questions via text after the procedure when we flew back to Sydney. My friend has just arrived back to Scotland where the dentist said that whoever started the root canal did a wonderful job. David and all his associates are generous with pain numbing treatment, they are patient with their time to allow the product to work and with all their procedures. Their gentle touch provides a pain free experience. David has saved us thousands of dollars compared to the cost of dentists in our local area. He has thoughtfully and artistically dealt with the dental needs of both myself and my husband and this ranges from simple fillings to implants and crowns. Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency after a failed cosmetic dentistry treatment at another location that required urgent fixing before an overseas trip. I was able to get the appointment right away thanks to Jennifer the friendy and skillful receptionist who went above & beyond to fit me in on such short notice. After assessing the problem & listening to my concerns Dr David Mai was able to offer me a solution to my problem which I had previously been told could not be improved...In short, my problems were fixed in just 4 weeks (it had been dragged on for 5 mths by a previous dentist.) In addition, despite the amazing management & high standard of service, I was pleased to find that the cost had been kept down to a very affordable price. I'm so grateful for the professionalsm of both Dr Mai & his ceramist. My experience with the staffs at Amazing Smile was first rate & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who's looking for a highly skilled & affordable dental practioner (particularly for cosmetic work)

Fantastic experience: Emergency crown required for my father on a Sunday morning . I msgd Amazing Smiles late the night before to arrange the Appointment back in July and they happily attended to everything and did the work at a very reasonably price. Very happy!

Fantastic experience: My son fell from a concrete wall on a Saturday afternoon and was taken to ER. On our way to the hospital, I called but no answer. I received a call back straight away from a mobile number and Dr David arranged to open the surgery the next day at 9.00am for us on a Sunday morning as we didn’t know how long we would be at the hospital. The next morning we went in. My son had face planted, split his lip and snapped off almost all of his front tooth. Not only did Dr David restore his tooth beautifully but he also stitched up his lip with delicate sutures to keep the area from resplitting and scarring badly. Negative experience: Unprofessional,the place is a mess,probably doesn't meet the dental standard of a dental practice,the owner/head dentist david has no idea what is happening,he makes mistakes and blames everyone else,if a complaint is made against him nothing is done about it,they just sweep it under the table and hope you just give up on chasing them,iam having a major issue with his work that he has done for me,now its going to cost me more then double the amount that i paid him,

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service and attention to detail, from the waiting room to the dental procedures. I cannot thank the team at Amazing Smiles enough enough for everything they have done. They went above and beyond, ensuring I was both happy. I have spent so much money and time trying to fix my teeth and it is only since seeing the team at Amazing Smiles that I found a solution to my problems. Negative experience: Called for an Emergency at 7:30pm (Robina Hospital recommended). Replied to my phone call with SMS asking the problem, I stated the problems and no reply. I do not recommend this practice for time sensitive emergencies!

Negative experience: After 4 separate unsuccessful attempts to do a filling on the same tooth from dentist David Mai ... my 5 th attempt was managed successfully from the hygenist ...simply because she took her time (one hour) to do it properly .... I feel angry I had endured considerable discomfort for a couple of years because of the rush to do things in this surgery ..

Negative experience: I wouldnt recommend trying to contact Amazing Smiles in an emergency as they don't seem to want to help. I called the landline and mobile, only to get sms messages back which my last ones still unanswered. Not very professional at all.

Negative experience: Avoid! I Was in agony Sunday and was told I could be treated, all I got was attitude from the dentist that he was working on a Sunday! What a joke! I left in the same pain I walked in with, except I was now $90 poorer. I will NEVER go back.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful service and beautiful staff!! The ladies on reception are so welcoming and beautiful and I was even happier with the awesome kind ways of Dr Jamie and dental assistant Lili. I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and they were simply brilliant!!! Could not thank them enough for making such a horrible procedure an actually really great appointment. Oh and very reasonable priced!!!

Negative experience: $500 for 20 minutes work 3 basic fillings. I am annoyed

Negative experience: I had an implant done with Dr Mai. The procedure was excruciating. At times I felt like I would pass out from the pain. I have since spoken to other dentists who say this is not supposed to be the case. Since the implant was put in, the screw has come out three times in as many years and has been very difficult to get fixed. If you're thinking about using this dentist, I'd recommend that you consider other options.

Fantastic experience: Super professional and friendly staff, I was dreading going to the dentist but the staff were so friendly and professional i'm kicking myself for not going sooner and living with tooth pain for weeks. The staff kept insisting it was me that made the experience so easy because apparently I was a good patient but noooo, it was them, they were simply great! Positive experience: Great dentists reasonable prices, nice friendly staff. However not the best fillings I've had They get the job done but quality could improve a little bit. But never the less a great dentists!
