Negative experience: I took my elderly Mother with a toothache and they found that she had several cavities they filled two of them, but after a week we had to go back because the pain had increased they said it was probably her bottom teeth which were aching and sent her away after another week we had to go back again, this time we were referred to the senior dentist, who took X-rays and we were told that the two teeth that had been filled needed to be removed, but they weren’t prepared to do it and referred us to a specialist, who we couldn’t see Mum for a month. Finally the pain became too much so we sort help elsewhere and they removed the teeth, no more problems. So four weeks of pain and over a $1000 all for nothing. Definitely won’t be returning!

Fantastic experience: Was recommended by this dental clinic by my friend as I had sudden gum swelling. I saw a dentist there and she referred me to Dr Mariam Chung. She was truly a saving grace. She was friendly, gentle, knowledgeable and truly cared about my dental well being. As I was travelling overseas she even went above to find my dental clinic overseas should I run into trouble. Im terrified of the dentist but dr mariam Chung was amazing and her genuine concern to making me feel truly better was what made this whole experience better. I highly recommend her to everyone who needs a great dentist and the kind staff at pacific dental. 5

Fantastic experience: It was a wonderful experience with Dr. Vaibhavi Gore, not just for me, but for my entire family including my toddler. I've had a lot of dental treatment with numerous dentists in the past. Dr. Gore is probably the best dentist I've met. Her treatment and level of care were exceptional and we're so grateful for it. Even the staff at reception are warm and welcoming. The facility is great. It's been a great experience over all for us as a family - well above our expectation.

Negative experience: Not the best experience at Chirnside. The receptionist Sarah was lovely but dentist Dr Patel showed very little compassion for an anxious patient. Her assistant was more kind and caring. I had a very sore throbbing tooth ache and she was quite rough tapping on the tooth and avoidant about extracting it due to my medical history. My partner thinks she didn’t feel like doing a complex extraction at 4pm on Saturday afternoon. Made excuses and referred me to an oral surgeon an hour drive away. To be honest I didn’t get a good feeling about her after the first couple minutes so even if she agreed to remove the tooth, I wouldn’t of done it because she made me feel uncomfortable. Spent another night in pain. I don’t recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I visited Pacific Smiles Dental in Chirnside park on Saturday 11th February and was really impressed by Dr Sripali Amarasinghe's service. She was very thorough, very accommodating and very good at easing anxiety. The dental assistant who's name I unfortunately did not get was also very lovely and professional. Really good overall experience and will be going back for my 6 month checkup! UPDATE: Came back 09/02/2024 for a check-up and again, Dr Sripali Amarasinghe and her assistant Sarah were both fantastic. The two ladies at reception were also very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend this practice.

Positive experience: Dr Yamaoka is great. I switched to him because I wasn't pleased with the approach of two other dentists of the same dentistry. They both had recommended three fillings to be done on my teeth. Dr. Yamaoka took an additional pair of xrays and confirmed they only require monitoring at this time, and fillings weren't necessary. His approach saved me time and money. I recommend him to other prospective patients. Hence, four stars to the practice, and I'll give more than a 5 to Dr. Yamaoka.

Negative experience: Initially I left a 5 start review as I had an amazing experience at this dentist. BUT… I took my girls for their regular checks and had no issues. The ladies were lovely! So much so I decided to face my fear and finally go to the dentist. I thought I had a cavity but I was relieved to find it was just a chip in my tooth. The dentist did a X-ray, filed the chip so it wasn’t sharp , gave me a good clean and sent me on my way! About 2 weeks later I have a pain in the tooth. So I went back and had to see a different dentist who tells me, after another x ray, that I actually do have a cavity in the tooth and it’s extremely deep. I declined getting it filled and decided to go to another dentist who confirmed, i did indeed have a cavity like I originally thought. It’s all fixed now. After the dentist missed a giant cavity I decided to take my girls to my new dentist instead. The new dentist found that my daughter has 2 baby teeth that aren’t loose and adult teeth trying to push through! We have been referred to an orthodontist. I would have taken her sooner had I known there was an issue.

Negative experience: The store provides really poor services and reschedules your appointments all the time if you make appointments with Dr Nicola and Dr Mariam and they constantly recommend you other doctors, one which we saw two years ago. Dr Ayesha did the checkup and clean really badly and made my husband and myself really uncomfortable and painful. They also have a 'senior' nurse who they claim having many years of experience does not know how to cooperate with doctors, but just stand there do nothing during operations. Apparently, they do not provide training. They cancel your appointments and let you wait for a couple of months over and over again. When you question why they reschedule your appointments all the time, they would say they don't know and they will ask their manager to call you, then they don't pick up your phones anymore. There is also no customer solution with this Pacific Smiles Group anywhere on their website. Do not go to this store if you expect a good dental service.

Fantastic experience: Such a relief to have found a dental clinic that has helped me with my dental anxiety. Dr Niusha is incredible. She is compassionate, meticulous and gentle. Her tone of voice alone calms you down even when you are in a state of panic. I've been able to undertake treatment I thought I would never be able to handle (root canal!) which, overall was a painless process under Dr Niusha's care. Laura the dental nurse is lovely, she looks after you when you're nervous (even gets you a blanket if you feel cold). I am so grateful for the care provided by the Pacific Smiles Chirnside Park team!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Pacific Smiles Chirnside park enough! I've had a fair bit of dental work over the last month and they have been thorough, caring, friendly and so informative. I've never been afraid of the dentist however some of the recent work was pretty major for me and I was made to feel calm and like I was in great hands. I also brought my 2 yr old Son in a few months ago to introduce him to the dentist early, and despite the fact that he wouldn't get into the chair, they were so good with him! Showing him all the tools and how fun the dentist is.... so amazing to be like that with children. Thank you guys for always being so great to deal with

Negative experience: Absolutely livid with the amount of cancellations and changes. First they called me to change an appointment for myself which was fine. I have now walked in with my two young children for their appointments only to be told that they tried contacting me a month ago to reschedule these appointments (with no calls in recent weeks to confirm I was notified). I also received confirmation emails on the 7th to confirm both appointments today. No emails to advise of any reschedules nothing! I will be looking for another Dentist and suggest you do the same!

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen a couple of dentists here and cannot fault them. Always caring and explained everything. I was an hysterical mess on my first visit and these lovely dentists and dental assistants have just about cured my fear of dentists. It’s not about he money to them, they genuinely want to help their patients

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment early October. . I had come for a second opinion on a root canal on a cracked tooth. My dentist was able to save the tooth without performing a root canal. She was very gentle and caring, she and her assistant told me what was happening every step of the way. Would definately recommend the dentist's here. The Reception staff member was very pleasant also.

Negative experience: Extremely poor service bordering on negligent. I have severe bruxism and have had two dentists over repeated appointments fail to refer me to a specialist as promised. Was supposed to go back in today after waiting weeks for an appointment only to have my appointment cancelled because they sent a confirmation text message to the wrong phone number that I made sure to update last time I went in. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful.

Fantastic experience: After not seeing a dentist in many many years I was super anxious about the experience as I had no idea what to expect. Mariam and the dental assistant I saw (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name) we’re absolutely amazing. They explained each step and ensured I was relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Negative experience: Went for a filling on Friday week ago, had been in pain ever since as it was a large filling. Call Tuesday and was told to have more pain relief and it will settle soon. After the weekend just gone and waking up Monday morning in severe pain I called for an appointment. Granted they have stopped the pain but happy charged me when this really should have been done properly. I k ow it is only a small amount out of pocket but having to lose a day's pay on top of that is not good.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today with Mariam to fix a hole in my tooth. Going in I was very nervous due to past experiences at other dental clinics, but Mariam was patient and kind and really took her time to explain everything that was happening, so by the end I was much more comfortable. Positive experience: We've seen 2 dentists here. Both very gentle with my daughter. However, I am disappointed with the lack of transparency on an optional dental service charge. The dentist told me she'll apply Fluoride after cleaning my daughter's teeth. It was only the tooth mousse. When I saw the bill it was billed for $35. If I was informed of this before hand I would politely decline the service even if it can be claimed from the child dental benefit. The fee cost more than the toothpaste itself. I think i'll go back to my regular dentist even if the waitlist is longer...

Fantastic experience: What a amazing place. Had my son there today due to a sore tooth and he was quite anxious leading up to his appointment but was put at ease straightaway due to the amazing dentist Jacqui and also Laura who was the dental nurse. They were both very compassionate and very gentle and explained everything to him and to myself as they were going along. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Amazing!! I had to bring my 5 year old daughter in as an emergency due to a bad fall and they were incredible! They made her feel so comfortable and sent her off with lots of goodies to make her feel better! Will definitely be going back!

Fantastic experience: I went to see Nicola yesterday for a filling, I’m not the biggest fan of dentists and get extremely nervous, but Nicola and the dental nurse made me feel very comfortable and we’re so lovely. I needed a filling at the front, I am so happy with how it looks. My teeth aren’t the best and we have now discussed further treatments to make me feel more confident with my smile.
