Fantastic experience: I was told about Pacific Smiles through word of mouth as I required emergency dental treatment. My dentist was unavailable to see me for a month. There are so many reasons why I have already recommended Dr Jacqui Vaidya to family and friends. I felt safe with her. I trusted her judgment. She allowed me to make decisions about my dental health and provided excellent referral specialists who helped me guide and confirm my final choice. Dr Jacqui was so gentle and compassionate throughout my visits. My damaged tooth unfortunately could not be saved, it had been problematic and incredibly painful for a month. The final extraction went smoothly considering there were potential risks due to the close location of the tooth to my sinuses. I received a phone call from her this morning, the morning after my visit. Jacqui was checking in on me, asking how I was progressing and reminded me how I could continue to support my healing. Her personal, empathic manner was reassuring and comforting. I can’t thank everyone at the clinic enough.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Vaidya at Pacific Smiles. I went in for a filling, and the entire process was smooth, comfortable, and very professional. Dr. Vaidya explained everything clearly before starting, which helped me feel relaxed and confident about the treatment. The procedure itself was gentle and precise—no discomfort at all. I really appreciated how patient and attentive Dr. Vaidya was, constantly checking to make sure I was okay. The filling was done perfectly, and my tooth feels completely normal again.

Negative experience: The receptionist was polite. Dr. Mary Panikulam was polite. She cleaned my teeth well. She asked me how I was. I told her that I have pulled muscles in my shoulders and back. One time while she cleaned my teeth, she asked me to move my head to help her see inside my mouth better. Before I could, she gently pushed my head forward. This caused my pulled muscles in my back, shoulders and neck to feel some pain. After she cleaned them, but before applying fluoride, she told me to swallow the fluid that was in my mouth. I was shocked because all my life I've been told by dentists and my parents to rinse and spit after the teeth have been cleaned and that swallowing can be dangerous. I looked around to see a basin to spit. I could not see one immediately next to me. I was not even given a cup. The only sink I could see was behind me and between the dentist and her assistant. Because of the fluid in my mouth, I could ask them to make room. I swallowed and hoped that it would not harm me. Dr. Mary then applied the fluoride. The assistant provided me with a cup and tissues. Dr. Mary asked me to spit. Not water was given to me to rinse. I have had only one appointment with Pacific Smiles Dental Clinic and will never return.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr Jacqui since she worked at Eastland and have followed her through 2 house moves and recommended her to all my friends and family. We very rarely have to pay a gap here for our 6 monthly check up and cleans. She will always tell me about my problem areas that she will be watching for next time, but in the 3-4 years I’ve seen her I’ve only needed the smallest fixes, definitely not over-servicing like our previous dentists.

Positive experience: Post procedure issues & inability to speak to the doctor. Receptionist passing on information that was unclear & unhelpful in a urgent care/serious situation. Extremely disappointed. Don't care for the copy and paste response from Pacific Smiles too

Negative experience: Avoid this clinic like the plague! I was charged $702 for a simple routine clean and one filling that had fallen off. The Indian dentist in this clinic by name Jackie Vaidya (she also has another Indian name) charged me a whopping $702 for under 30 minutes work. Be careful of the sweet talk here, it will leave a huge dent in your pocket. Cheats who make quick money prying on vulnerable patients should not be allowed to practice. I have been to this clinic before and was served by a decent & honest dentist with no out of pocket expenses, but he does not work here anymore. Never again to this clinic! I would not give even one star and I have never paid over $700 to any profession for under 30 minutes work!

Negative experience: Half job not completed , waste of time. Evaluation then can’t do it because not enough time only have to pay consult fee. I went to Clayton dentist, no problen, fixed and done, not too much talking.

Negative experience: This was a very bad experience. The dentist was extremely careless and inexperienced. The entire cleaning process took only 10 minutes, and when I asked for a mirror to check afterward, I was shocked to see that there was still a lot of plaque left. Unbelievable! No skill, no service. Teeth are so important—I’d strongly recommend being cautious when choosing a dental clinic.

She explained everything as we went along and checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Keanna for a tooth filling. She was Professional in her approach – explained the Procedure well in a calm tone of voice, without rushing. Even during the Procedure, she stopped a few times & repeatedly kept asking if I was in any discomfort. Her concern felt genuine. I experienced little to no discomfort during/after the Procedure. I have no hesitation in going back or in recommending her. Dr Keanna also treated her Assistant Angelina with a lot of respect. This stood out to me especially because of the shabby manner the previous Dentist I saw at the Clinic treat her Assistant. The other Dentist, was very forceful & dismissive in her approach - did not pay due consideration to the discomfort I was in or to what I had to say, after the Procedure. She also gave the impression of wanting to rush with the Procedure to attend to her next Patient. I would not have attended the Clinic for a second visit if not for the lady at Reception – Olivia, who convinced me otherwise when I requested not to book a second Appointment. A big “Thank You!” to her for introducing me to a good Dentist.

Negative experience: wouldn't recommend this place at all. My daughter was just a kinder kid and once she got a toothache, thats why we went to pacific smiles glen waverley. Even though my daughter already had a full mouth X-ray that took about two months ago, and I knew which tooth was rotten and needed to be fixed. The dentist still required my daughter additional full mouth X-ray, I told them I don't want my daughter to get radiations from X-ray, but he said without X-ray he can't do anything. My daughter was in hopeless pain, so I had no choice but to take another full mouth X-ray for my daughter. But after they took a full mouth X-ray for my daughter, they found out the image was not clear at all. Because their X-ray machine was broken, so the dentist told me they have to use the old X-ray. That's double standard and hypocritical.After my daughter got radiations from full mouth X-ray, no apology at all, that's how they treated their customers. Its all about benefits oriented.

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend. I had to have a tooth removed at the Oakleigh clinic and then I wanted a crown. Medibank recommend the Glen Waverley one so I went. They were very pushy for me to get the service I had for thr removal at another clinic put in their name and said they didn't do it properly and very much made me worried. ( I now see this as a red flag and more about money then patient care) They then went on to give me a clean and a filling and took additional xrays (even though they had them from the other tooth removal) and advised a crown. I went in to get a crown (2.5hours) and they could not complete the first stage, causing me to have to come back twice and then giving up and referring me on. I have to agree with others, the receptionist are terrible, they couldn't refund me on the day, didn't pass my referral on and I have chased them three times to get payment and answers. Still waiting After five weeks since we started I now have been advised by another dentist ($300 later for more xrays as they refused to send my records on to me) the tooth that they said needed a crown is compromised and shouldn't have a crown on it and should never have been reccomened too. They are all about profit and do it in strange ways. Never again

Negative experience: They are more interested in making money than in providing quality care to its patients. I felt dismissed by the receptionist at the Glen store, a receptionist acted unprofessionally, she was uninformed about the dental care services provided by the practice, as she skipped over discussing the services and went straight to payment.

Negative experience: Avoid Pacific Smiles Dental, Glen Waverley. Very poor customer services, untrained receptionist, aggressive to children. Tried to check in and waited for so long for as the receptionist was unfamiliar with basic office equipment or software, can't see my booking. And finally find the appointment with help. When checking out, the receptionist abruptly took the pen from my child's hand that been given while we were waiting, and scolded her, causing the child to cry. Without an apology she then immediately demanded that I pay for the dental service today. While I was trying to calm my kid down and retrieve my phone to pay (was only 5 seconds), the receptionist answered a phone call and began attending to the request. I was left waiting there with a crying baby. When I was about to pay, the woman interrupted me, saying "I am on the phone." I had to wait while she engaged in a lengthy conversation. Feeling frustrated, I picked up my child and left the store. The woman quickly ended her phone call to try and stop me from leaving and started an argument with me while another two walk-in customers were waiting. I believe that everyone should receive the same level of attention and service, if the receptionists had to answer the phone, they should politely excuse themselves and answer the phone. Rather than requesting that the person on the phone hold or call back later, the receptionist left the customer who was ready to pay on hold, along with a crying baby and two other walk-in customers who were waiting in line. This left the other customers feeling neglected and overlooked. And even argue with the customers at the store.

Now I’m worried about having a tooth canal if the toothache continues and is worsened. Feeling really regretful to have tooth filling in this clinic.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience. I normally go to another Pacific Smiles but needed a clean asap. Glen Waverley was the only clinic that could offer an appointment within 3 days. I saw Dr Maria Gonzalez and I found her quite pushy about x-rays, which made me feel uncomfortable. I had x-rays taken recently and it would’ve been unnecessary treatment to have x-rays taken again within 12 months. Also, a clean normally involves calculus removal/scaling and polishing (which is what removes stains and leaves your teeth feeling clean). Dr Gonzalez skipped polishing and when I asked, she said it can be done at the next appointment… which would be in 6 months time. The primary reason I needed an appointment asap was so I could get polishing/remove stains before appts later in the week and other social commitments over the weekend. I now have to use at-home whitening products. In addition, there was an issue with the dentist’s provider number and their HICAPS machine said “provider number not recognised” (yet it was working fine for the other dentists) so I had to pay out of pocket, then claim with AHM after which made things even more inconvenient.

Fantastic experience: I've been here a few times with my wife for dental checkups including clean and scale and have always found the staff to be professional and courtesy. The dentist (Dr.  Luciana Mizukami) was gentle, made sure I was comfortable when performing a clean and scale and took their time to explain about dental care. The experience has been exceptional on multiple occasions and I'll certainly be recommending Pacific Smiles and Dr. Luciana Mizukami.

Fantastic experience: My first visit, to have a pressing dental problem investigated, leading to a treatment plan. A delightful surprise! Alayna, the lovely lady at the front desk, went out of her way in resolving my pre-dental predicament. I had left my wallet behind — so no Medibank card, and no credit cards either! Despite my suboptimal phone signal in the subterranean location, deep in The Glen, she hot-spotted my phone via hers, and downloaded the Medibank App. I was examined by Dr Priyanka Chowdhury, a very experienced dentist, with the able, personable Anamika Singh as Dental Assistant. Between them they made a very thorough assessment with comprehensive measurements; carried out a full cleaning; delineated all of my options for the two diseased teeth; and set up the next phase of the treatment plan. Alayna then used the freshly downloaded Medibank app to process the payment. Magic! If only more dentists and dental practices operated like this one! Thank you, good folks. Our friends are bound to follow in our footsteps!

Fantastic experience: I have been here a few times myself and with my family. I always find them to be professional and discuss everything with me before proceeding. When using the child rebate they did what was required and tried to make it so there would be enough for a check up in 12 months or if any emergencies pop up. Great hygiene practices in place and it's great to have everything in one clinic. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: It’s was a very bad experience in this clinic, I had filling last week in this clinic for almost$300, just one filling, and I actually wants a cleaning of my teeth last week, but unfortunately the doctor run out of time, so she organized me to come back this week for more filling plus the cleaning, during the last week’s visit, she already charge me for the oral examinations, and she already has an ideal of all my teeth’s problems, so then she quote me for today’s visit for $490, which included the 3filling I am going to do today plus an free cleaning as I am an member of Medibank private, however after today’s visit, the clinic charge me for 690, which is 200more than the quotes, which include another oral examination this time again, I feel they just wants to get everything they can from the insurance company, so I ask for an explanation, and the receptionist attitude were very bad, she said she forgot to put the 200 for the cleaning, which was unreasonable I think, I feel I am being ripped off, I didn’t expect the free service, but I expected the quote to be accurate, not misleading the customer, and the doctor was unprofessional too, did not do my cleaning properly, after she cleaned, she didn’t even show me the mirrors, later on I found out there is still a lot of stains in my teeth like it was never been cleaned, she said stain is normal, if she cleaned it will comeback, so what is the point to come and do the cleaning, I don’t like the way they treat the customer, if I am coming for an cleaning, I expect my teeth to be fully cleaned, even the filling was not done properly, I can not floss one of the teeth after the filling, very bad

Fantastic experience: I went a month ago to see Dr. Prajakta (Jacqui) Vaidya, with concerns over a broken tooth. She explained me all the possible options. She managed to avoid an extraction with perfect tooth filling. She is very caring and has excellent bedside manners. Would definitely recommend seeing her for dental care.

Fantastic experience: I have had two appointments with Pacific Smiles, and both (Filing and Dental Cleaning) were with Dr Prajakta. On both occasions I was seen on time, reception was very polite, Dr Prajakta was very professional thru out and went out of her way to explain each step, regularly checked to ensure I was comfortable and clearly explained future next steps. Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Pacific Smiles and Dr Prajakta.

Negative experience: For - Dr. Jacquie Vadiya and Reception: They do cheating via unclear communication, no professionalism. I had shared my story in feedback survey but no response came back, so sharing my story here. (I ended up paying $300 for cleaning and front x-ray). Here is the full story: I had sold a $190 package (cleaning + x-rays + etc+ etc). I was late due to the appointment's day timing confusion. Instead of rescheduling the appointment, Dr. decided to have the session for the rest of the time and later just did a minor cleaning (formality of the session) and told me that I could have another sitting. She told me that she will not charge for it and will do the remaining package work. When I went for the second appointment, she did a good job and performed the cleaning (that I was expecting in the first session). And then the surprise came, she asked the register to charge me $165 for it. Wow, that was a little embarrassing moment as I thought everything was under the package. Then we had a conversation where she changed the charges to $151 ($110 + $41) and explained in her taxonomy that she did everything in my favour and also told me that my teeth cleaning requires two sittings (best scapegoat statement). I ended up paying $110 more as I don't want to be in a bad state. But when I went back to the home and rethink, here is the conclusion. I paid $300 for my teeth cleaning and only front x-ray (for which I didn't get any file or information). And have been asked to come again for further work and the rest of the package-work can be done along with new sitting (I know you can see it, what they are trying to do here). Now with this experience, I'm not sure anyone can even recommend Pacific smiles. I'm sorry for this review as I understand it takes a lot to run a business and $100 doesn't matter at both sides. These small things make experience terrible and create trust issues.

Negative experience: The receptionist was very slow and untrained. The amount of time taken by receptionist to manage billing was more than the time I spent on the dentist chair! The procedure I had was simple cleaning which was covered by my insurance and still the receptionist was unable to perform her job clearly.

Positive experience: It was my first visit with Dr. Jacquie Vaidya. I didn't have to wait outside. She is so caring and gentle, explained everything very well while examination.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 Star if I could. Such bad service, I waited for 1 hour 15 mins without dentist to attend to, specially my appointment was 9.30am, but they called me to change to 8am. When I arrived, the reception kept misleading me that the dentist was coming in half an hour and then later she came to me again saying the dentist was coming in half an hour. In the end, there was no dentist to come at all, the reception was so careless and unsure whether dentist was coming or not but just kept me waiting and waiting to waste my time. I couldn't believe such unprofessional Dental Clinic, no organization, no clear communication and no service.

Negative experience: I stood there for a long time, been ignored by several dentists and one of the receptionists, then another receptionist came back, no apologies for the wait time, and barely smile while serving the customer.

Fantastic experience: My first visit today at Pacific Smiles in Glen Waverley went very well. The treatment suites are modern. Dr Jatika Kaur was very caring and gentle, and explained everything clearly before the examination, scaling, cleaning and fluoride treatment. She also treated and filled a tooth I had chipped while eating. I will certainly be returning and will recommend this practice to my wife, family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I had a very bad tooth ache called Mulgrave pacific smile and the staff was so helpful to find an appointment on the same day in Glenwaverely pacific smiles Saw this dentist , she was so professional and explained all the options , I opted to go ahead with extraction . Dr Latha made sure I was fully numb and the whole process was painless and she called the next day to see how I was going .. my family will surely return to her for more treatment ..

Positive experience: Had a scale and clean, they were very gentle and helpful.

Negative experience: In short: be very careful, they are commercial and will try to make you spend more, even if the treatment is unnecessary or can have adverse effects. Went here because I always go to Pacific Smiles on Bourke St and they have good dentists (Dr Rama and Dr Houman are great) Did a check up and clean with Dr Latha Manivachagam and that’s where my mistake started. During the check up she said that she is ‘not happy’ with most of my current fillings. I did say that I had sensitivity on one tooth and after the cleaning she recommended me to do urgent fillings for 2 teeth. I decided to go ahead because I wanted to avoid doing things too late and ended up in root canal. Around two weeks after the fillings I started having toothache and worse sensitivity and decided to go back to check whether the ache came from the tooth that I ald had the new filling with her. She did and x ray and said that it was not from the same tooth. It was from the tooth behind it and told me that tooth also needs replacement fillling. I decided to get a second opinion and did an xray again where the dentist told me that the back tooth is fine and the ache came from the tooth that she filled. So what is she trying to do, get more money to damage my healthy tooth to avoid the blame that the ache came from her fillings? Be very very careful. I should have checked that the review for this branch is not the same as the review for the bourke st branch.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sajnee K is an amazing dentist!!!! She took her time, explained things in great detail and was very professional. My teeth have never been cleaner. Thanks guys!!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr Julian Liu at this practice. He’s gave my teeth a thorough cleaning and treatment with patience and care not to hurt. He would kindly explain anything and teach you how to look after your teeth. Definitely will return for my and my family’s teeth health.

Negative experience: We've booked in advance, but they can't find any information in the system. Poor service！

Negative experience: Year ago went for filling , it was too simple but she grind too much and at the last she said it’s 40 % chances it will be settle down. Strongly recommend never go to this clinic

Positive experience: It was actually a year ago when I visited. It was very new and everyone was friendly. Equipment was good and teeth felt clean afterwards (I don't visit the dentist enough!). Felt like they might be missing some essentials back then like a sink to spit in after gargling. The dentist was helpful with all my questions and took the time to go into detail when she saw I was pretty lost at what was happening. Will be visiting again. They take private health insurance :D

Negative experience: Worst experiences I had. There is no much difference after teeth clean. The whole clean & whole check last only about 15 minutes. There is no water for washing mouth and I don’t know what have done. The doctor doesn’t explain until I ask. Not recommending!

Fantastic experience: A brand new practice with the latest equipment and then more. Dentist was gentle in his approach and explained what he was doing each step of the way and stopped to check how I was going and gave "rest points" as he did the scale and clean. Would recommend him any time to all. I rate him 5 out of 5.

Negative experience: Called to book an appointment. Asked if they accept American Express, as this was the only payment method I had available. Was explicitly told they accept it. Arrive, get my treatment, all goes well until I go to pay - get told they don’t accept American Express. Terrible experience, as I obviously would have kept calling alternate dentists until I found one that accepted amex.

Fantastic experience: highly recommend this clinic. specially Dr Jatika she was very gentle and gave me excellent dental treatment.
