Positive experience: Overall, I found this to be a quick, in-out, no frills service. My clean was done in around 15 minutes or less and if I’m honest, felt quite heavy handed and painful. They might be a cheaper than my primary dentist but I’d much rather pay more to have someone take their time, with a bit more attention to detail and care.

Negative experience: My appointment has been cancelled because the doctor is unwell, it's fine, so I tried to reschedule as the message asked me. However, since my second phone call was also hung up by the front desk, I'm going to find another dentist. And this is the most terrible experience I've ever had.

Negative experience: I visit the clinic on Sunday ..with my painful tooth.. and end up with an amoxicillin prescription after spending 255$. Too expensive.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with how my appointment with Dr Darren Lai was handled. I called and confirmed an appointment for 5 pm the next day, yet it was cancelled the same day just because I didn’t respond to a text message. This makes no sense — if I already confirmed over the phone, why is a separate text confirmation needed? There was no clear communication that not replying to a message would lead to cancellation. To make matters worse, the reception staff was unprofessional and rude when I followed up. Rather than helping resolve the issue, they were dismissive and offered no explanation or support. This entire experience was frustrating, a waste of time, and completely avoidable with clearer communication and more professional staff. I would not recommend this practice based on how poorly the situation was handled.

She was direct and concise and explained everything about the treatment and went the extra mile to make my first Pacific Smiles Visit comfortable and with ease leaving me happy with the treatmen i received.

Negative experience: Beware of unexpected charges! I was billed $227 by Amy Chao for a procedure without prior disclosure. Despite asking for an explanation, the clinic failed to provide a response. Lack of transparency and poor communication—won't be returning. Avoid if you value clear pricing and honest service.

Negative experience: Least thorough cleaning I have ever received. Lasted at most 3 minutes and consisted of only power scaling, zero manual scaling. I asked why the cleaning was so brief and why there was no manual scaling. I was told it was because my teeth were in such good condition I didn’t require it. This was obviously false as I have periodontitis and generally require 30 minutes + for scaling to get under my gums. Guessing this was due to them being a Medibank provider which limits the amount they can charge - they make up for it with providing the lowest quality service possible. I recommend to go elsewhere, particularly if you are with Medibank.

Negative experience: 15/12 App# 1310 hrs Treating Dr- Dr Jesse Receptionist # unprofessional. Did not take the appointment properly. On arrival rude. Inspite of observing & been informed about pain insisted that I fill in a form to update my details. Whilst leaving spoke without been spoken too. Treating Dr: unprofessional. Stated I have squeezed you in for second opinion but will not treat as they didn't not book me in for long appointment. This was not informed on phone or whilst waiting for 28 minutes. Stated I can take the opinion & pay. I stated i don't need an opinion if you can't treat me. As now I can't find another Dr. on short notice. Walked out onto the reception stated I still have to pay as she treated me. Unsure how? Still in pain. In the name of checking left me with a swollen lump inside the mouth. Will look into sueing this Doctor. Stated clearly there is misunderstanding but decided not to treat.

Negative experience: Today my wife and I rang glen iris pacific smile to seek an emergency appointment - my wife was in severe pain .i impressed this on the receptionist. The soonest they could do was 3.30 pm the next day. My wife had seen christine from pacific smile the day prior but she had done a poor job. Though this was explained to the receptionist together with the current emergency the receptionist was NOT helpful. Very poor service

Negative experience: Dr Amy Chao did my cavity filling and it fell out just six months later, then I went back to do filling a week ago at the same tooth, it fell out again today! I had no problems with any other cavity filling before, very disappointed, and upon seeking a second opinion, I was shocked to learn that the filling was temporary filling!!! Only give one star to the environment and friendly service.

Positive experience: Phenomenally expensive. Appointments are 10 minutes apart and my clean and check took precisely 10 minutes and cost $280. If you are happy with that then by all means go.

Positive experience: I had a clean and check-up done today and the dentist did a great job. However, I was left feeling misled with the price. The poster outside the clinic says it's $190 for adult checkups but it actually costs $225 because "the price has gone up and they just haven't changed the sign"

Negative experience: Please do not send another you know to this clinic. They have caused a serious issue to someone I knows tooth and are not willing to help. I’ve tried speaking to the manager/messaging person who didn’t want to help my situation at all resulting in her hanging up the phone half way through our conversations on how we are going to resolve this issue and for me to speak to someone in higher management of Pacific Smile. Extremely poor service, rude staff and a place I highly recommend to stay away from.

Fantastic experience: DR Darren (glen iris and also in city ) is seriously the best! He is so kind and caring and explains everything happening during each procedure. He takes his time to numb you and I never ever felt even the needle. He is beyond awesome. My 2 crowns are perfect and he takes the time to make everything perfect! Today was my last visit after many many visits . Crowns, veneers, fillings etc. I felt almost sad finishing up and look forward to my yearly checkup! Who else can say that about a dentist? Negative experience: Went in for fillings, got up sold to get more. The dentist has brushed two of my teeth together. Called and had to almost scream to get an appointment and then I got Covid. Have kept calling back to re schedule to get this fixed and they couldn’t care. I’m in so much pain still!!!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had 2 negative experiences with 2 different dentist at this practice. I regret going back the 2nd time. Prior to my first appointment I called Pacific Smiles Glen Iris asking if they provided orthodontics -fixed braces and was told over the phone that they did offer it, only to find out they don’t. The first appointment I left feeling uneasy as the check-up scale and clean appointment only lasted max 15 minutes and my teeth didn’t feel any cleaner than when I arrived (this is unusual in my experience). In October I attended for my 6 month check up and clean. I arrived waited in the lobby and was called in within 5 minutes, 5 minutes was spent setting up/asking me questions. I reported I was worried about my gum health and I said I will need a scale and clean (calculus removal). The cleaning felt rough and rushed, similar to first appointment. During the clean the Dentist took pictures (not X-rays) without consulting me prior to or during the exam/clean. I had only asked for a checkup, scale and clean, I don’t need pictures for the dentist to prove I have a hole. This goes against AHPRA code of conduct 4.2e. I was told I have mild gingivitis, despite my diet/oral hygiene remaining the same over the past 6months. The only difference was attending this dental practice, which in hindsight I believe not doing a thorough scale and clean could contribute to gingivitis emerging. After the exam, scale and clean the dentist spent at least 5 minutes writing notes and discussing my treatment plan with me. My receipt shows my claim/payment was made 26 minutes after the appointment time, which means less than 15 minutes was actually spent on the examination, scale and clean. 15 minutes is not long enough in my experience and after calling my previous Dentist from interstate they confirmed this. Upon leaving my appointment I checked my teeth, the front ones appeared to have been cleaned however my molars were not cleaned according the the claim the dentist made on my insurance. I have contacted Pacific Smiles about my negative experience/s however have not had a response. I’m still angry at myself for coming back a second time, and I’m more angry that this dental practice has waisted my money on a examination, scale and clean I needed to have again.

Positive experience: I moved to this clinic after my healthcare provider has an arrangement with this dental company. The first time seemed okay but the nurse was inexperienced, most of the time was recording details of my teeth - fair enough for first visit. The second time, I was due for a clean and I had the same session done where I spent 45 min recording details of my teeth, with no clean. I was told I needed a deep clean even though I have my teeth cleaned every 6 months for last 20 years. This fee was over $800. I was also told I also needed a filling replacement and 2 other fillings. Rather than fork out the cash I went back to my old practice for a second opinion and I needed nothing of the above, got my teeth cleaned and I was out the door. Be wary and if you are unsure - I’d get a second opinion on major expenses.

Negative experience: Dentist procedures were okay. Had been quoted one price for teeth whitening kit and then at payment , suddenly need to fork out $50 for materials that nobody told me about. Annoyed to say the least and then to be told I don’t need to pay for it if I don’t take whitening materials is simply absurd. That’s the whole reason for coming in. The issue is under pricing or not informing me of costs. It’s also not on that the dentist and receptionist discuss amongst themselves but don’t acknowledge the fact that they are passing on costs which they never communicated. Not on to have the dentist not come out on the topic. If this is the literal meaning of leaving a bad taste in one’s mouth, then this is it. If you had told me about it up front , it would have been fine- but don’t start adding costs in for your incorrect quotation. I won’t be back on these grounds so you can cancel my next appointment as well. I don’t deal with people that aren’t on their integrity. By the way , I wasn’t going to waste another 15 Min waiting for my receipt. Please email it to me.

Negative experience: Went in for a GAP free clean and they refused to clean my teeth without doing an x-ray... walked out. Will go back to my old dentist and pay for a clean rather than hand over cash to these money hungry grubs!

Fantastic experience: Went for check-up and clean. Dr. Yekaterina Kokoreva (aka "Kat") was professional and friendly. She proved a clear communicator who explained the right and wrong of personal dental care evidenced during exam, and the risks and rewards of any resulting dental procedure choices to be made now and in the future. Clinic itself felt bright and clean. Support staff were kind and helpful.

Negative experience: I was super unhappy about the way they handled my booking. I called to book this location as my previous location at cbd was fully booked. I needed to squeeze my appointment in and they managed to fit me in the next day. The receptionist told me she will have all my details transferred and everything will be taken care of. The next day I received a call and they said the dentist need to charge me for another initial consultation fee. I was not told about this beforehand. I have already paid for my initial consultation fee and I don't see how this is necessary to get a couple of fillings done. I had my last consultation done about 2 months ago so nothing would've change and I can't see how the new dentist cannot trust another dentist's judgement that my teeth just needs filling. Worst part is I had to give up my work shift on a short notice, making me to lose money in the process all due to some petty and greedy cash grab.

Negative experience: Do not come here. 1. Reception is rude 2. They book everyone in half hour slots - was left waiting for 20 minutes past my appointment with not even a sorry. I'm surprised they don't manage booking times by the type of appointment. 3. Scammers - if you do go here, please check your itemized invoice. This business WILL add on things you did not ask for and charge you for it. I got a mouth guard for $700 - the itemized invoice had cleaning on it too but no cleaning was done. The same thing happened to my fiance. 4. They said they would store my teeth mould - turns out they have thrown it away and I need to get a new one made now. 5. When asking about cost - their response is "Don't worry, you have insurance so it costs you less" - insurance is a % so cost matters to me. Will never come back here.

The after care I received after my latest procedure has been amazing especially thanks to Melissa who has checked in on me since and been so kind. The dentists and nurses at this practice put you at so much ease and ensure you are happy and know what’s going on at all times ☺️ I couldn’t recommend the team here anymore!

Fantastic experience: It's extremely difficult to find a dentist you are comfortable with and can trust. Upon giving this place a try for a concern i had with tooth pain half a year ago, and was very impressed, this time i went back for a checkup and clean. Dr Angela Amado was amazing. She was patient and took her time, she was very very thorough, and checked over again and again. She was gentle and ensured i wasn't in pain throughout my clean, constantly offering me small breaks. I didn't feel rushed like I have at other dentists. I am very selective when it comes to dentists as I have had some bad experiences, but i wholeheartedly recommend this clinic and Dr Angela. I have found my new dental clinic! The experience from being greeted at reception by the friendly Sri, until leaving was fantastic.

Negative experience: Would not recommend! Moved from overseas so needed to see a new dentist. I actually enjoy going to the dentist but the experience I had at this dentistry was horrible! I had a check up, clean and x-Ray. Super uncomfortable. Dentist was rough, cut my lip and felt like I was having a shower (sprayed with so much water) . When it came to the check up I’m not sure she knew what she was talking about, I had to bring up issues she failed to pick up on. Communication between the dentist and assistant was terrible and and one point the assistant didn’t have any gloves on. Also I’m sure they took advantage of charging me for things as they know I have health insurance. Disappointing.
