Positive experience: I went to NIB Dental in Sydney and the service was excellent. At NIB Dental Brisbane I tried a couple of dentists and found had one who was great but she left and I was provided with no information, just bumped to another dentist. They are constantly calling during work hours to change appointments, they seem to want to change every appointment that you’ve set. They send multiple messages to confirm and then reconfirm appointments. I confirmed a Saturday appointment twice via SMS only to arrive and the appointment was cancelled for no reason. Fortunately another dentist was able to fit me in. Real mixed bag.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Dr Sonia Sangwan and her team who made my wisdom teeth extraction as painless as possible and was over so quickly! She was even kind enough to remove my sutures weeks after at no extra cost for my comfort. Much appreciated!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Sonia for the past 12 months undergoing invisalign, the results are amazing, she guided me through the various options, presented the predicted results, the treatment was completed in the most part within 9 months. Any concerns or questions were resolved and the treatment cost what was presented to me at the beginning of the treatment. I am very pleased with the results and service. At a previous dentist, I had a panic attack in the chair and now I seem to be susceptible to anxiety at the dentist. Unfortunately, today, I had a panic attack in the chair and Dr Kodoth could not have been more kind and supportive. I’m a late 30s woman, crying in the dentist office and was so embarrassed. However, she was so lovely and gentle with me - she even put on my favourite music to help calm me. It wouldn’t have been easy for her to work to the soothing sounds of My Chemical Romance! I really appreciate her care and patience. Very glad to have found her.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Diane Nguyen for many years now, and she has been fantastic. She has taken care of many cleans, check ups and wisdom teeth removal. More recently she recommended I get clear aligners to fix bite issues and TMJ symptoms. She did an amazing job at fitting them and I am seeing great results. She always provides a professional service and it is always a joy seeing her. The team are also very friendly. I highly recommend!!

Negative experience: The worst experience ever, dentist was the most unprofessional, incompetent and I was left with a cheek literally drilled in multiple areas. Last appointment of the day, Dentist was not present or speaking to me. While carrying out a clean with a very sharp instrument, stabbed my gum and said nothing, no sorry, no accountability, nothing. It required antibiotics and I was left in pain for many days. The Dentist bolted out after the appointment, with myself left to pay in full after having excessive damage to my inner right side of my mouth. The Dentist should be banned, mistakes happen, own it, you’ve demanded payment after inflicting an injury that took weeks to heal. Disgusting service and please avoid appointments on a Friday afternoon, end of day. The Dentist is clearly a child in a man’s body with no aptitude of responsibility, not acknowledging his error.

I regret not meeting her many years before I did as I am sure she would have been able to help me prevent many of the dental problems I have experienced.

Negative experience: Extremely annoyed as I drove all the way in here today Saturday 3:30 pm to pick up my glasses, this is the time I always come after work and the store is always open! After driving all the way here I am told they have decided to close at 2 pm with absolutely no notice! There’s nothing on Google saying they are now close at 2 pm! Nib needs to be more professional and caring towards their customers especially when they decide to change hours and not care about those faithful customers that have taken the time to drive all the way in from the suburbs as they don’t have any suburban store! Getting my glasses from Brisbane city store has always been a pain in the neck and extremely inconvenient, for those that don’t live in the city, the distance to drive in the lack of parking! This has topped it off for me today. from now on I won’t be getting my glasses from NIB I will be going to my local shopping centre which is very convenient and reliable.

Positive experience: Team is good at looking after customer concerns but they should be more upfront and transparent with pricing prior to procedure to avoid inconvenience.

Positive experience: Nib dental care centre, services are great, starting with reception. Dental services are even better. The only negative side of all this is the location. Parking is nearby but often full. If you are being dropped off there is absolutely no place you can get dropped off legally. If you are going to have just a regular clean or a small filling then it’s ok, anything that requires anastetics then it becomes a problem with transport. That’s all I can say.

Fantastic experience: I had a broken front tooth for over 2 years, it did not look aesthetically pleasin and I couldn't bite on my front tooth for a long time. I had an appointment with Dr Diane Nguyen. She suggested that the tooth could be replaced with a crown and it will be a simple procedure. in just a few appointments I got my tooth back and it looks very natural just the like how it used to look before it broke. Dr Diane was so sweet through the procedure and explained everything thoroughly. The procedure was mildly painful. I'm so happy with the results.

From cleaning, to pasta, to my Ortho experience, Doc Diane Nguyen has been the nicest, kindest most reliable dentist who always looks after their client’s welfare during and after each treatment (especially the ortho treatment I’ve had) and I can say that I am satisfied. She explained everything thoroughly and gives advice. I felt comfortable throughout the entire treatment process. Also, the staff were all friendly and helpful as well. The center is well equipped with modern facilities and location is very good. Overall, the service was top-notch, and I always left with positive experience. Highly recommended for all dental needs! Negative experience: Don’t recommend at all, they called to confirm my booking a week prior to my appointment which I did. They then called me the day before and I missed the call, they didn’t leave a voicemail and didn’t send a follow up text. I didn’t call back as I didn’t recognise the number and there was no voicemail. I arrived in the morning to find that my appointment had been cancelled (also no message confirmation of this). The cleans are also so quick and terrible, you could do more with your own toothbrush. I’ll be cancelling my NIB insurance as it is far inferior to other providers.

Negative experience: This clinic used to be great but the standard of care has been dropping since Dr. Tab Prakash left mid 2022. I agree with other reviewers that dentists and hygienists joining this clinic don't have much experience. The dentist who treated me last time looked like she was in her mid twenties! I had a check up & clean and was in and out of the chair in 8 minutes! Usually my appointments take at least 20 minutes. Don't know why they're rushing appointments because they were running on time and no patients were waiting when I left. Unfortunately there's only one NIB Dental Clinic in Brisbane but I think it's worth finding another dental practice you have confidence in and just paying the gap.

Fantastic experience: Efficiency, friendliness and cleanliness 10/10. I love how i turn up on my appointment and I get what I need to get done straight away without delays. Negative experience: Absolute nightmare. My teeth were feeling fine, no pain. Then this dentist told me I needed a filling replacement. Simple procedure she said. She didn't use anaesthetic and it hurt like hell. Then I had pain with it afterwards when eating. I've since gone to a new dentist who attempted to fix it but now has discovered the tooth has likely been cracked and I'll need root canal surgery. I'm absolutely terrified. Don't go here.

Negative experience: I went for a routine teeth clean but it was not in the least thorough and I was done in 20 minutes. I do a better job with a toothbrush. It left me bitterly disappointed. And parking is a major issue being in the CBD.

Negative experience: I had come here for years due to NIB insurance. I thought they did a fine job cleaning my teeth and dentists were nice but now I know they are not thorough or knowledgeable dentists, dismissing patient concerns casually so that you trust them but they don't know what they're talking about. I went there and specifically asked if my orthodontic wire retainer had lifted and they said no. I could feel it was different with my tongue but they insisted it was fine. A year later I've gone to another dentist and yes it detached some time ago and now my teeth have moved so I would have to have braces again to fix this!! Thanks a lot!! ALSO I had a non-urgent routine x-ray when I told the dentist I could be pregnant and he dismissed this casually that it's not much dose but didn't offer me a lap shield or anything. Turns out I was pregnant so my baby was exposed unnecessarily. I've never had a tooth decay issue so he could have easily postponed the x-ray or provided more caring advice.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever! I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Renu Lakra and she damage my nerve, my teeth was supposed to be removed by a specialist but she assured me that she had plenty of experience with wisdom tooth close to the nerve, I went to see her to have her reference for the specialist, but she convinced me she could do it, I told her my previous dentist who was at Nib aswell, said that was a very delicate case and just a Specialist should do it. I listened and trust Dr Lakra and let her removed my wisdom tooth, and it’s been the most painful procedure I had to go through, a year later I’m my nerve hasn’t heal, I live with constant pain, a sharp pain in my gum that somedays could be really bad, I take medication for the pain when is unbearable. The worst part is 2 weeks after the procedure I went back to her and told her about the killing pain I was feeling, that my face was still swollen and it didn’t seem normal, she said was totally fine, so she sent me more painkillers and said will follow up in a week, which never happened. I had to find another dentist, who told me and explained the damage she had done in my nerve. Would never recommend this place.

Negative experience: Sent my partner here for a mouthguard as he grinds his teeth very loudly while sleeping and I'm worried he's going to further damage them (they have already been worn down). Not only did the dentist not address this, she claimed she could not find any evidence of grinding, despite the enamel on the top of his teeth being damaged, and the fact that I have witnessed it personally. His treatment was also not covered by his insurance with nib. We will be going elsewhere to a hopefully more competent dentist.

Negative experience: I made the mistake of making a dental plan with them reasonably priced with good benefits, however first when I used the free cleaning for the first time the dentist took literally 15min, but ok I didn't take too much into consideration, I got a caries and had to start To treat it was then that the problems started, every time I went there they changed dentists and I always insisted on going with the same one, but it was always different. In short, after using all my credits and what I paid, they couldn't fix the tooth and I went to see a private dentist where I started a proper treatment and I will spend a lot more to fix the damage they did.

Negative experience: I booked a dental appointment over a week in advance with Dr Morgado through the NIB website and received immediate email confirmation on booking, then a reminder the day before. I had rearranged other commitments for this appointment and traveled an hour into the CBD for it. Only to be told when I arrived that they were having 'system issues' and I had no appointment. I showed them their own emails confirming the appointment but to no avail. They did offer another 5 hours later but that wasn't convenient so I'll go elsewhere. Very poor service from a massive company like NIB. Beware their 'system issues' if you book online!

Negative experience: I keep getting emails from nib offering deals, to join..I am not interested as I have cover and have been with current heath cover company for 18 years, I get 2-3 a day, there is no unsubscribe, and I have never had any contact with them ever, So I call, YOU guess it automated, on hold 25 mins twice, IF THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS NIB, ITS WRONG AND VERY TYPICAL OF BIG SCAMING BUSINESS TODAY.. No such emails exist If my mother wasn’t fully aware of the payments going out of her bank account she never would have picked up the fact that her policy had lapsed through the lies of the company themselves When I sent a complaint email explaining all this I got very little back Just an vague email saying they haven’t been successful in contacting me I don’t have any voicemails suggesting they were trying to contact me at all! I do not trust this company I do not trust their call centre liars Beware! Especially if you have elderly parents Keep checking that their policy is up to date Very angry at the deceit

Negative experience: A nasty experience with a non disclosed Graduate Dentist charging full rates (as is the business model with 'Pacific Smiles Group') Super rushed service for 2x fillings - both of which fell out not long after procedure Dentist was coaching dental assistant (a different one on each my three visits) on how to perform proceedures 'quickly' Dentist convinced me to have an extraction which led to a painful & very unpleasant dry socket. She charged to later treat the dry socket that was likely caused by her inexperience. I've since found a quality, independent & established dental practice and have learnt (the hard way) to steer clear of these franchised dental centres. Avoid like the plague

Negative experience: Went there to fix my molar which got chapped. They suggested me to get a porcelain inlay. It costed me around 1k+ because i did not have medicare. However, the dentist is too young, the inlay caused some infection on my root canal. I went back a couple of times to be told that i need to floss more. Eventually i went to another dentist, he found out i have infection on the root canal. I removed the inlay entirely and clean the root canal, anti bacterial and stuffs.. Not too recommended if you have a complicated problem.

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom tooth removed here and have to say it was the easiest procedure I've ever had. Dentist was very reassuring and friendly, even when I had to stop after initial anaesthetic he was very willing to just wait and chat until I felt better. Also, cheap fees and really lovely receptionist as well. Perfect experience (as much as someone yanking your teeth out can be).

Negative experience: Paid $280 for three X-Rays and no solution to my pain. Had to pay another $240 the following day at another dentist who picked up the problem in less than 5 minutes.

Negative experience: Had a routine checkup and clean with this dental practice. It took only 5 minutes to finish this procedure. The dentist I saw was very unhelpful and just wanted to rush me out of chair. I only attended this practice because of the no gap promotion they advertised but I wasted my time and very unsatisfied. I will go back to my old dentist though they charge me the gap. Very unsatisfied with them!!!

Fantastic experience: By far the best dental centre I have been to, Pacific Smiles lived up to my expectations and more. They are a professional dental centre for a strong passion for there patients. I went in to try out for the No Gap Offer for a discounted service I received 5* treatment, Dr Kathy Yang is gentle knowledgeable and humorous which is what I would want in a services, Kudos to the Girls and there new practice in the city. We were both a little anxious reading the previous review but there was no need! She was extremely friendly, thorough and informative and we were both more than pleased when we left.
