Fantastic experience: I recently had dental work done consisting of three fillings, and the experience was excellent. The procedure was handled with great care and professionalism, and everything went smoothly. I was also impressed that the practice followed up with a call the next day to check on my recovery. I would highly recommend their services.

Negative experience: It’s been the worst experience at this practice after living more than a decade in the area. And yes, you don’t have the right to ask a question about the equipment etc. which is basic right of patient.

Negative experience: I took my 6-year-old son to the dental practice today for the extraction of a baby tooth that was causing him significant discomfort. When booking the appointment, I clearly stated that the purpose of the visit was for a tooth extraction. At the appointment, we were seen by a male dentist who unfortunately did not introduce himself (I'm unsure of his name). After examining my son, he explained that if I was still keen to proceed with the extraction, it would need to be done by a paediatric dentist, and a separate appointment would need to be scheduled. I was keen — that was the very reason I booked the appointment. I left the practice wondering why the appointment was accepted in the first place if the attending dentist was not confident or qualified to treat a paediatric patient. It was disappointing, especially considering the visit was charged, yet no treatment was provided. I hope this feedback will help improve communication and booking processes, particularly when it comes to paediatric patients, to avoid unnecessary stress for children and their families — and to prevent the waste of both time and money.

Positive experience: My Mum's first time appt at Mt Gravatt Dental with Dr George Coumbis was very pleasant. She was wanting to find out about a new set of dentures and was very thankful for Dr Coumbis' honesty in advising against spending $4,000 for something that wouldn't make any difference. He explained why she has a problem with her dentures and while we were waiting at reception on the way out, Dr Manna spoke to my mum and explained her problem in even more depth from a woman's physiological makeup. Mum felt she had received a caring and very knowledgeable response to her questions. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone .

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Sobia and Dr Manna. Our two year old daughter fell on tiles and snapped her tooth to the nerve- nightmare scenario. She couldn’t eat solids or have anything cold as it hurt her too much. During the next three days we went to two different hospitals and three different dentists trying to get help. The dentists took their consultation fees and did nothing, the hospitals sent us on our way saying, while our case was urgent, it would be up to a month until she was treated. The remainder of the tooth died in her mouth, and we became desperate. I searched everywhere and stumbled upon Dr Sobia. I read about her contributions in the field of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Queensland and her efforts to improve dental care for children. It seemed to me that there couldn’t be a more qualified person to treat our daughter. Raj, the lovely bloke manning the front desk made an urgent appointment for us. We arrived stressed and tired after days of being ignored. Dr Sobia snapped straight into action and showed her expertise straight away, within half an hour she had assessed the damage and taken X-Rays so our options could be laid out. Being two years old, we were terrified of our daughter going under general anaesthetic. Dr Sobia offered an alternative- local anaesthetic and a tooth extraction while we held our daughter in our arms. Ten minutes of discomfort and a few tears and it was all done. Dr Sobia saved us an hours-long ordeal at a hospital, ordering an anaesthesiologist and having our daughter carted off out of sight for the procedure. Instead, we got to comfort our child throughout and were walked through the whole procedure together. The relief we felt once our daughter had been treated was immense. Dr Sobia and Dr Manna were the most sympathetic and genuine dentists we have ever met. This is very clearly more than just a job for Dr Sobia, she genuinely cares about children. There’s no profiteering, no nonsense- just what is best for the patient based on evidence and experience. As parents, our daughter hurting herself seriously for the first time was traumatic and stressful. We will never forget the last few days and how hard they have been, but we will also remember how, in the end, it was Dr Sobia who looked after us, who comforted us and even shed a tear with us after it was all over. In our eyes, Dr Sobia and her team are heroes. We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank you enough to the team at Mt Gravatt Dental for squeezing me in last minute. I had a dental emergency which resulted in a wisdom tooth extraction. I was experiencing tooth pain for the past few days and the pain was unbearable especially at night, so I had to find a dental practice open on a Sunday. I called in the morning and let the kind receptionist know what my situation was. He told me he would talk to the dentist to see if they could do something for me. They called me back to ask me to visit the practice within the next 15-20mins, which wasn’t hard for me as I lived close by. When I got there, the lovely receptionist got me to fill out some paperwork and they were speedy to get me in the chair. I was so nervous as I wasn’t sure what the results would be, but Dr Diny calmly explained my options and told me what to expect. After I decided to get my wisdom tooth pulled out as it was impacted and was at risk of infection, Dr Diny and his assistant was quick to set up the procedure, X-ray and all. He made sure that I was all numbed up and ready to go. Let me tell you, Dr Diny has magic hands because he took that tooth out within a few minutes. When he told me he was done, I was so surprised and relieved. Dr Diny made sure I was ok and reassured me that I was doing well throughout the procedure. I could tell he was experienced in what he does because I did not feel a thing during the whole procedure. I was a very lucky today to have your team assist me in my troubles. Thank you so much to Dr Diny and the rest of the team. You guys were so nice to me the whole time and made sure my visit was as comfortable as possible. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I met Sobia through UQ, where we both work, and then I was so glad that I had found a specialist that could help me with my little girl. Complete joke this place is! damaged good teeth and tried to damage more just to make money and take advantage of my private health for there own benefit. This place should be shut down. Disgusting.

Fantastic experience: I had been seeing Dr. Amit for the past few years and organized with him on several occasions to get a crown for my front tooth. He recommended just bleaching my teeth and then getting a crown to match, however, my front tooth was darkened due to a past accident and unfortunately, a crown would not have covered, the darkened tooth behind it. It was Dr. Manna Kholi, who recommended that we lighten the tooth first and THEN perform the crown procedure. She made sure that the crown was aesthetically proportionate before administering the procedure and after it was done, she checked with me to make sure I was happy with everything before I left her office. The crown perfectly complimented my other front tooth and I am very satisfied with her work!! Dr. Kholi and her husband are very focused on quality and customer satisfaction. They are very family oriented and hospitable and I am grateful for their kind service!! I will continue to see them permanently for any of my dental necessities. -Jay

Negative experience: Saw the male dentist around 3 years ago. I needed 6 fillings apparently for around $1500. One was urgent within weeks I was told. 3 years later I have had not one filling. Disgusting, unprofessional and a conman. Should be struck off at least. Wake up....Might as well be a car salesman. Didn't want the one star. Minus.....
