Fantastic experience: Super friendly and helpful reception staff and doctors!!

Negative experience: My first consultation at QV was terrible. I was made to undergo unnecessary tests, and was only prescribed an ointment. Ended up buying temporary medication myself, which helped with the symptoms, but I still booked a second phone consultation to get antibiotics. During that call, the doctor asked if the medicine worked. When I reminded her that she had only prescribed an ointment, I lost trust and didn’t want to continue the conversation. Then switched clinics. The staff there were kind and helpful. I explained my previous tests and the condition I was experiencing, and finally received antibiotics. The doctor mentioned that if the symptoms persist, a different medication might be needed, but I didn’t think it was necessary to change the prescription without knowing the cause. When the symptoms returned, I needed the final medication. I didn’t want to pay every time for transport, consultation, tests, or medication, so I asked the reception if I could get a prescription only. They said yes! it would cost $30 if I already had a previous consultation and booked a phone appointment for the next day at 11 a.m. The 11 a.m. consultation went fine, but after that I only received negative responses, which was frustrating. I was told I would have to attend in person and pay again, even though explained that I couldn’t cover these costs every time. I booked another phone consultation with the doctor who had issued the prescription, scheduled for 3:15 p.m. She didn’t call on time. waited until 4 p.m., then called the clinic and was told she would call back. At that moment realized that I hadn’t eaten all day and missed the call while in the kitchen. She finally called at 4:45 p.m. After hearing all the information I had previously explained, her tone sounded frustrated, and she suggested I might need a different medication or to see a clinic closer to my address. Felt that ignored as a patient. I had clearly communicated my financial limitations, yet my situation wasn’t acknowledged. I spent the whole day without receiving a positive response, without eating, working, or obtaining medication effectively wasting my time. Because of the symptoms, I couldn’t sleep that night and woke up early to write this. If they had been upfront from the start, I could have avoided wasting time and stress, and slept peacefully. By the way the receptionists were so kind, supportive, and incredibly helpful. They really understood me. I’m deeply thankful for that. The doctors also showed care in their own ways and took the time to help me. I truly appreciate everything they did.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked into Medical One, I felt welcomed. The reception staff were friendly, approachable, and made the check-in process easy and stress-free. It’s clear they genuinely care about creating a positive first impression. I saw Dr. Gary Rodriguez, who was fantastic. He was attentive, patient, and took the time to listen carefully to my concerns without rushing. His approach was thoughtful and considered, explaining everything clearly so I understood my options and felt confident in the next steps. I truly felt like my health and wellbeing were his priority. The clinic itself is clean, well-organised, and runs efficiently, which makes such a difference when you’re managing a busy schedule. Overall, my experience was excellent from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Medical One to anyone looking for a professional yet genuinely caring medical practice.

Negative experience: Was charged double price because we went overtime with the GP by a minute. No advanced warning, next time avoid small talk, it could cost you!

Negative experience: Made the earliest appointment as I needed to get in before work. I was the doctors first patient. I was 10 mins early. The doctor arrived in practice 13 mins after my scheduled appointment time. I informed reception I made my appointment before work so I could get to work (which they went and told the doctor) Waited 5 more mins and no doctor so I walked out.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the professionalism and care that I get from Dr Elaine Tao. Always very welcoming and detailed about any health issues or concerns. I would without a doubt recommend Dr. Tao. Thank you for your patience for answering millions of questions a patient might have for their ongoing health concerns.

Fantastic experience: Modern facilities allowing for minor surgery , vaccinations, nursing and different doctors . I see Dr. Feri . Very professional, knowledgeable and caring . The reception staff are brilliant , very professional and have excellent rapport. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, the best surgery I have experienced in Australia. The receptionist is so nice, welcoming and cheery, she is an asset. Also the Dr Teo is really great and I would highly recommend her for female health.

Negative experience: AVOID this practice at all costs! Malpractice examples which I’m pursuing legal avenues and when I emailed to inform them I would no longer be using their clinic outlining the reasons, and that I would be lodging a file with Health Commission, they sent me a letter telling me they would not be taking my appointments any longer - gaslighting behaviour from an incompetent and purely a money driven practice. Genuinely avoid this place and ignore the paid reviews they’ve paid for in an attempt to balance out the many critical reviews.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr Elnaz Khorshidian. I just returned from Thailand and have been very sick and was concerned about what it could be. Dr Elnaz was very thorough in running tests and prescribing medicine and a home care routine. This got me feeling better quickly and helped to reassure me that it was not something very serious. Very grateful to be able to get an appointment and be seen quickly

Fantastic experience: The clinic has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the receptionists were incredibly friendly and attentive! Dr. Elle and Nurse Abi provided exceptional care—both were highly professional and made me feel comfortable throughout my treatment.

Negative experience: Was given the wrong antibiotics, wound swelled. Went back for correct antibiotics after the doctor told me 5 days after they were informed. Still charged me for second visit. Just saying....

Fantastic experience: My go to clinic! Staff are wonderful and accommodating. Doctors are amazing and knowledgeable!! The girls at the reception they’re all amazing! Overall good experience with them.

Negative experience: This Medical Centre is reflective of the current state of Medicare, it is appalling. Charge $109 for 2 minute session to get ears cleaned, very rude if you ask any questions, they just want you in and out as fast as possible. It shouldn't even qualify as a medical service.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Vic Gardens Medical One for a year now and every time I come in I am so impressed by Betty & the friendly admin team at the front desk. I have also seen multiple doctors with Dr Preeya being my main point of contact and I feel well looked after and listened to each time. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can't thank Medical One Richmond enough. Here was I, a 56 year old woman from interstate staying in a mental health clinic who urgently needed a form filled out by a GP as I needed hearing aids because I couldn't hear well in classes. I found reception extremely friendly and Dr Nick Taheri was kind and a wonderful doctor with a lovely friendly manner. He puts you at ease. He not only attended to the form but gave me an update on a physical concern I had (he has brilliant eyesight!). He would undeniably be my GP if I lived in Melbourne. Please don't be put off by the $31 or so co-payment if you have a pension card. Where I'm from its $42 to $60 for people on pension cards if they don't bulk bill and I've never had anyone like Dr Taheri. And what's not to love about Victoria Gardens shopping centre. You can hang out at Kmart, Chemist Warehouse and get a $2 hotdog from IKEA!

I appreciate the personalised care and attention to detail in every visit. The clinic staff are also very friendly and efficient, making the overall experience positive. Negative experience: Almost all of the doctors want you in and out as soon as possible, if you have something very clear and routine I'm sure it will be fine, but they do not want to take anytime to help when the issue isn't straight forward

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this clinic enough. I have being soo well looked after from Dr Elaine Teo she is an amazing GP. All nurses and receptionists are also lovely, especially Chloe! There is also a Melbourne Pathology site right inside which makes life a lot easier. Noel works there and he is also very kind and professional.

Fantastic experience: I found Medical One in Victoria Gardens because I couldn’t get a suitable appointment at my own Clinic. Due to the wonderful reception staff and Medical Practitioners (especially Dr Feri) from this practice who made me feel immediately welcomed and comfortable, I have now moved my files over to them and I have also left a specialist clinic as this practice also has expertise in the same area I require. It’s great to have all my files and health care in one place and to have the time to get to know and discuss my issues without feeling rushed. I feel confident that any follow up appointments I might require in the future will be handled with the same standard of care and consideration. Thanks to you all.

Negative experience: Have been a patient at medical one in Richmond for more than 5 years. I will give Dr S Venables a five star rating. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. However there is one doctor that works there who has no idea how to treat patients I would avoid her completely. Very unprofessional doesn’t really know how to help but is very good at just prescribing medication changing antidepressants she is not a Psychiatrist. If it becomes too difficult to help the patient she will refuse to see you. Her initials are FR.

Negative experience: Took my daughter to an appointment on Saturday. She had to do a specimen and was told to return it before 4pm. Arrived at Vic Gardens at 3.45 went straight to Medical One, doors were open and literally no one was there! Called out to see if maybe someone was in a back room….nothing! Called another Medical One to see if they knew what was going on, nope. No idea. No emergency, etc. Went to Dental One who shares the space, dentist came and walked around Medical One, yep, looks like they’ve all gone home early! WELL WHY TELL US TO COME BACK BEFORE 4PM IF YOU HAD NO INTENTION OF BEING THERE!!!! I hope they adjusted their time sheets to show they buggered off early!!! Not at all impressed! Photo of ticket to prove I was there prior to 4pm!

Negative experience: Useless. Brought my 7yo in after she was complaining of severe pain. GP didn't even look at her, just took her temp and ordered a test. Paid over $100 for a 10min appt. They didn't even follow up when the result came back. When i followed up, the receptionist told me to make another appt. What did I pay for?

Negative experience: Never on time. Always at least 30 mins past appointment time.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting anti wrinkle injections (dysport) for six years and this is the first time I’ve been 100% happy with the service. I cannot recommend Dr. Feri enough! It was exactly enough, in the right places and I did not need to come back for a top up as there were no missed areas or areas needing a bit more; which is a first for me. A natural result was achieved. Numbing creams were provided, it was a great experience. The pricing was competitive and Dr Feri is absolutely lovely! This has been my regular GP clinic for years and they recently started anti wrinkle injectables. I’ll certainly be rebooking and recommending Dr. Feri— she is also a wonderful GP for kids, my 14 month old son has seen her three times and every time I have left the appointment feeling reassured and confident we received great care :)

Negative experience: They charge an amount way over MBS and make you come in for several consults that could be done over one phone call simply to charge more. Had to go to emergency where they told me that the doctor did not do take the proper precautions in treating me. Awful experience, I encourage you to go anywhere but here.

Negative experience: The appointment I had at this clinic was the worst I have experienced. I thought GPs now had training about how to listen to and respect patients. None of this occurred during my appointment last week. Avoid this place if you can!

Fantastic experience: I recently took my son to see Dr Elaine Teo. I had not seen her previously. She was kind, attentive and thorough. Her gentle manner put my son at ease despite being in significant pain. Dr Elaine was reassuring and followed up with me to ensure the treatment was working. I would highly recommend her.

Negative experience: I have no idea why this medical centre charges much more if it is Covid related. A standard phone consult cost me $140 because I am a Covid patient. And it is not long consult as the call only lasted for 9 min. I have been to many other clinics and this is the first time Covid patients are charged more. Combined with other comments, I just feel this clinic want to make a fortune from patients during their difficult time. Just checked with their website re the charging rate, no rate is shown - obviously they don’t have any transparency and they can charge you without any standard.

Fantastic experience: Nurse Sabrina is an absolute star!! But the prices are so expensive compared to other places!

Fantastic experience: I took my little one in to see Dr Fereshteh (feri) Ravanbakhsh and was so reassured and pleased with her professional skills and manner. She did a thorough physical exam and showed me the compassion and warmth that I seriously needed after a stressful time caring for a sick bub who didn’t cry at all while each step of the process was gently explained to her. Negative experience: Just way too expensive. Doctors are fine but you need to do something about your prices.

Positive experience: Visited around 1pm on a weekday. The wait to be seen was short. Doctor listened and asked questions. Reception smiling, friendly and efficient.

Negative experience: Mislead into believing practice was a bulk billing clinic by one of the untrained admin staff. It is not. Private practice…

Fantastic experience: Thankyou to Sundeep Kaur and the entire practice for your amazing support. Great clinic, patient led care that is gentle and informed. Absolutely life-changing for me personally. I also appreciate the flexibility to balance In-person with phone consultation. This means that I don’t have to give up my amazing GP despite spending frequent time in regional Victoria, where the medical services are lean and somewhat lacking in comparison.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this practice, I saw a different doctor to my regular doctor and despite advising that they would bulk bill me in the private room, I am now getting threatened by the practice that they will go to a debt collection agency for not paying the fee, even though I was promised it was bulk billed. Cannot trust this practice, the only trust worthy doctor here is Lesley, who has never requested payment when I’ve been promised to be bulk billed. Completely unacceptable.

Negative experience: I had just moved interstate and needed a refill of my anxiety medication, as I can have full body panic attacks that are similar to seizures. I had taken an old empty box with my Brisbane based doctors details on it so that Dr Sunny could contact them if they wanted. Instead they just denied me the medication because they "don't prescribe Valium for anxiety". Would love to know what she does prescribe Valium for then. She made me feel like I was someone with an substance issue and even more alone and unwanted, really bringing on a bad long term attack of anxiety. Her coldness is something I will never forget, or forgive.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr Lesley Lam for the past few months. She has been extremely helpful with any questions/queries I have, and is extremely patient while explaining concepts to me regarding my health. She's an asset to the Practice & I'm very thankful for her work. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: I went there for the first time recently and can't fault the service. The doctor was thorough and professional whilst having a nice manner about her. The receptionist was also lovely. My usual GP is on leave so I'm happy to have found a good doctor and clinic.

Negative experience: All of the staff, medical and non, are lovely. The clinic is run so poorly, and communication - particularly transparency around their confusing costs - is awful. I've been going there out of convenience for years, but I'm over it.

Fantastic experience: Brought my son in for his four month injections and my flu shot. As always both doctors and both nurses we saw were friendly, professional and efficient.

Negative experience: Referred me to a mental health specialist and then refused to prescribe the medicine that the specialist recommended. Deeply frustrating and disappointing, do not go to this clinic if you need assistance with any mental health issues.

Negative experience: Inexperienced doctors who lie to your face

Negative experience: They really don’t value peoples time. The first appointment I had which was face to face had a 40minuet delay and no apology/ heads up / acknowledgment was given but they happily charged me double when they took their time. The next appointment I had was over the phone again 20minuets late with no apology / heads up etc. Can u fix up your schedule / times please !

Negative experience: The doctors are helpful & professional. The VIC Gardens clinic, however, is run poorly. More than half an hour wait past booking time every time. Miscommunication between doctors and reception. Test results take forever to come back. Then they won’t tell you over the phone. Instead I was emailed someone else’s test results!! I won’t be returning.

Negative experience: Horrendous service. Will never return again. I've heard the doctors are great it the front desk incredibly unprofessional and seem to have other things on their mind. There's so many better practices you can go to in the area.

Fantastic experience: I walked in on a public holiday and was served immediately by a very polite receptionist who got me an appointment straight away. Dr. Andrew Hadjitofi saw me and based on the situation at hand helped me. He was polite, courteous and straight to the point. I’m writing this to thank him for his professionalism in getting me to where I needed to go! Based on my experience, I can clearly recommend this Clinic and Doctor.

Fantastic experience: Doctors are extremely insightful. Dr Lam is a very informative and hard-working doctor. Lizzy or Lucy? Is my favourite receptionist always goes out of her way to help. I lost a referral and she found it for me promptly, and has such great manners.

Positive experience: Good bunch of doctors here. Very caring and they do everything to explain you and answer your questions. Reception service could be a little polite when speaking.

Negative experience: Can't imagine what it must be like to work at this place, judging by the attitude of the receptionists. The moment you call they want to end the conversation as soon as they possibly can. Three times I have called to have a referral sent through via email (which is always confirmed), to no avail. They charge me for next to no service, then can't provide the service promised. They chased me up constantly for a payment I felt I shouldn't have even been charged (eventually I acquiesced and paid) but don't lift a finger unless you ask and still the job hasn't been done after months. Are they overworked? Or do they hire based on having a bitter disposition? Jury's out on this one. Going to go there physically to pick up a referral and never set foot in there again.

Negative experience: Substandard doctors and dishevelled booking system. Save yourself the trouble. There are plenty of excellent doctors in Richmond who don't simply churn you in and out. I left feeling very upset and uncared for.

Negative experience: I have been going to this clinic for several years and find the doctors wonderful, but just in the last month the receptionists have been so rude and unprofessional, so disappointing! I hope they're kinder to others.

Negative experience: A Reception staff member Catherine is extremely patronising and cuts of conversations with... "I'm very busy and I have other patients to deal with".. I thought I was a patient too... But maybe not any more.

Negative experience: Really bad customer service. My girlfriend went there because she felt so sick but the receptionist was rude to her and she didn’t help my girlfriend at all. Literally, that person didn’t care about my girlfriend situation.

Negative experience: The worst mental clinic franchise that exist! No process around waiting time for those who are walk in patients, doctors cutting your appointment short and telling you you can only discuss one medical issue at a time when you are in serious pain and trying to get to the bottom of the issue, and not testing you for vitamin D because you do not wear a burka but you are confined to a wheelchair and rude receptionists. This place needs to be audited.

Fantastic experience: It’s refreshing going to see a GP who genuinely really cares about their patients. Have seen a few different doctors here and they’re all fantastic.

Fantastic experience: As parents, for many years we have had concerns about our son’s ongoing health problems. He required urgent medical attention just before New Year’s Day & he saw Dr Andrew Hadjitofi who was so professional in managing his problem. He has co-ordinated ongoing services for him. I cannot thank him enough for his concern & ongoing support, it takes such a load off our shoulders to know at last he has someone he can rely on to support him through his health problems. Fantastic experience: Welcoming and friendly receptionists whom go over and beyond to help patients when needed. Rachel the practice manager is a pleasure to deal with and from reading the review below if it was the same lady who refused to get her temperature checked at the check point, when I was at the clinic, I would like to say that her attitude was absolutely disgraceful and unreasonable. Rachel handled the situation professionally. I say, if you don't want to follow covid-19 protocols then don't enter a medical clinic.

Negative experience: This is by far the worst medical practice out there. Unprofessional and arrogant. The practice manager Rachel screamed at me and did not let me complain just because I asked genuine question. Complaint to Health Commissioner submitted. They should not be practicing with that attitude. Stay away from this practice unless you want to be psychologically injured.

Negative experience: Very bad experience. Don’t go there. They cancel urgent appointment. At the reception they said that we didn’t have any appointment, instead I received the confirmation through my email.

Negative experience: Very bad service! I booked an appointment and got the email that was confirmed and they say that was canceled. So they didn’t give me the opportunity to be visited. Don’t go there, they are not professional! And they don’t provide any solution or kind of help! I would leave 0 starts!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Andrew Hadjitofi is an exceptional doctor. I have seen many doctors in relation to an ongoing health issue, but it has been he who has been instrumental in assisting me with tackling my issue head on. I have had only 3 sessions with Dr. Hadjitofi, but it is clear he works with integrity, professionalism and the upmost respect for his patients. Furthermore all reception staff I have met at medical one vic gardens have been very accommodating and deliver excellent customer service. No wonder i still travel over an hour to attend appointments despite relocating half a year ago. Can not recommend more highly.
