Fantastic experience: Great experience with Dr Rusha. As a very anxious patient it was good how she explained what she thought was causing the symptoms and how to manage them. It was good to see the X-ray up on the screen as it helped me understand as she talked about how she was going to treat me and why she was making the recommendations for her treatment plan.

Negative experience: I don’t usually leave reviews but I won’t ever attend this practice again. This was our first and last time at this practice. We were looking for a dentist we could take our family to that we could trust and we would feel comfortable at and this isn’t it. First my child was refused an invoice for the services provided then I had to call and request it which is where I noticed they were overcharged. When I enquired I was rudely and swiftly dismissed. When I pointed out there was an unexplained charge on the invoice I was hoping for clarification on I did not receive a response, I’ve emailed twice and I have been ignored. Your integrity is shocking and I’ll be sure to let people know to stay away.

Negative experience: This is my first time and last time visit! Very bad experience , I arrived before 10min and happy to wait for the doctor! But first time in this place for check my teeth and take radiography with Dr Morteza Habibi just take 15min to complete my cleaning and radiography coast $271 with Medibank. Unbelievable ! I have been to other dental clinics for check-ups and they all took about 45-60 minutes. I would Never come back again, this dental clinic just take the money only.

She was extremely professional and thorough with the clean and examination and I was very satisfied with the service provided. They were so kind and lovely, my baby was getting a little agitated while waiting for her siblings turn and they kept looking over to me and reassuring it wouldn’t be much longer! Fantastic experience: Reliable practice

Negative experience: I had an extremely distressing experience at this clinic during my recent tooth extraction. The dentist administered three to four doses of anesthesia, yet I could still feel intense pain. I repeatedly informed her that the anesthesia wasn’t working, but she dismissed my concerns, insisting that it was just my mind playing tricks on me due to stress. She ignored my words and proceeded with the extraction, causing me unbearable pain. I screamed as she pulled my tooth because I knew the anaesthesia hadn’t taken effect. Even after the first attempt, when I told her again that I still felt pain, she continued to insist that I was numb and disregarded my repeated feedback. I tried to explain that I could differentiate between numbness and pain, but she refused to acknowledge my perspective. She gave me yet another injection, and again, I felt the pain when she pulled the tooth out, I screamed and cried aloud from the pain, but she stopped only to say it was “weird” because I shouldn’t feel pain. I wanted to speak, but the pain was too much to bear. She injected one more time, and though it was slightly better, I could still feel the discomfort. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a healthcare professional. The dentist was dismissive and did not acknowledge the patient’s point of view. In my understanding, anesthesia should make you numb and pain-free, but this was far from my experience. I deeply regret choosing this clinic and will not be making the mistake of returning.

Fantastic experience: We booked into Belconnen Pacific Smiles last minute when needing to do an minor procedure for my child (after our family dentist practice closed). We were glad to have been booked with Dr Liam who we found out was simply fantastic. He was skilled and efficient, calm and kind as well as innovative with my child (especially with her fears/first procedure requiring local anaesthesia).The young patient said Dr Liam's friendly attitude put her at ease. He was also very helpful and informative @ the visit, he gave us a sense that patients matter. Will be booking the rest of the children with Dr Liam too for the next visit.

Negative experience: The service was not customer-friendly at all. I felt there was an attempt to charge me a higher amount based on my private insurance coverage. The healthcare assistants seemed poorly trained, even in basic tasks like suctioning secretions. In my experience, when complications occurred, they acted as if nothing was wrong. they are very good on that. This feedback is based on my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: I've had great experiences at this dentist. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming. The dentists run on time usually and Dr Sun is outstanding!

Negative experience: Wasted my time. Had an appointment , asked if they were behind as I had to pick my daughters up from daycare. They said 5mins so I sat there waited for 30minutes, before giving up and leaving. Won't be returning.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this practice for the folliwing reasons: 1. Firstly, I still feel the deep filling in a tooth as a rough surface when touching it with my tongue, not enough polishing effort was made by the dentist to make this filling seamless and smooth as it is expected nowadays with the new products. This is the result of time-bound pressure and profit chosen over quality. 2. Today, I had and appointment at 10h30, arrived at 10h31 and half to get to know that somebody else has taken my place for a cleaning without appointment. I was proposed to reschedule my appointment. Another example of immediate profit-related philosophy of the business over customer adequate care. I am not going to this place anymore hoping I can get my Xrays and file transferred to another practice. I am usually loyal to the medical services as I privilege the mutual rappirt and knowledge about my health history but really...I was really disappointed.

Negative experience: My experience in this clinic is not very pleasant. The dentist did the job without much care and experienced more pains than other clinics. The worst thing is the clinic booked another appointment in 6 month time without my authorization. This is wrong!

Negative experience: I needed an urgent appointment as I had split a front tooth tried to book on line page timed out, tried calling, phone when to voicemail left a message they never got back to me so I'm never going back to them, absolute clown outfit

Negative experience: 150$ for a bit of glue to reattach part of my permanent retainer. It's been less than four weeks and after 2 it was already not feeling right. Now, its entirely dislodged from my tooth again. Before this, when my original orthodontist did this, it was stuck to my tooth for almost 10years. Absolutely dodgey work. Now I need to pay someone else to fix their muck up when I already couldn't afford the first fix up. AVOID for orthodontic related stuff.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend dentist Dr Habibi and his assistant was kind and gentle. Dr Habibi was very professional and straightforward about the details of what I needed to be done with my teeth. The staff was great and the clinic was also clean.

Negative experience: Just had my teeth cleaned and I was in and out of the chair in about 10 minutes. Rush job. They didn't even offer me a chance to rinse my mouth out during the appt. The front counter ended up bringing me a cup of water to rinse at the register.

Negative experience: Showing up at 8:30 and was told dentist won’t be in for the appointment slot which they asked you to confirm 2 days prior, only attempt of communication was 1 missed phone call. You would expect at least a text message notification if the dentist is not available. No apologies from the reception except for ‘oh we tried to call you but the dentist can see you 2 hours later’. Other people’s time matters too.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and accomodating.

Negative experience: Had regular dental check up and cleaning. Spent no more than 10 minuts all together with Dr. Jhanvi Kotecha. 200 def not worth it. The eye protection glasses provided during the cleaning which had stains and water marks that didn't seem to be wiped after the previous use. The water splashed all over my face during the cleaning, they didn't cover my face. I wasn't asked to to gaggle before the fluorides was applied and it wasn't pleasant feeling the cleaning fluid left in my mouth and blood for awhile. Too much blood this time as the cleaning wasn't gentle but rough. Wont go back to the clinic, i noticed pacific dental doctors are just paid doctors and there is no quality. The receptionist was not friendly and was chewing gums while talking that didn’t leave good impression either.

You are the best dentist I have ever been to, and exactly what I am looking for in a dentist.I was thoroughly impressed by your expertise and kindness during my appointments. The office staff is also extremely welcoming and warm. I really appreciate all of your help. I would highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: They were able to check that I was going to the appointment with a reminder a day before via text message (without calling me), and to ensure that I was okay afterwards. I am not a fun of surcharge for debit and credit cards, but it is understandable to cover the cost of the use of cards with the bank systems. Anyway, the dentist are professional and they were able to explain to me what was the issues, what I had to do to avoid further dental issues and to prescribe me with appropriate medication to assist me with mitigating any further issues. So, yeah, I would recommend Pacific Smiles Dental, Belconnen. My advice is to try different dentists to see which ones you have a good bond with, especially with advice, deals and other things.

Negative experience: Customer service level by Dentist, assistant team and receptionists were not to an acceptable standard. The waiting area was very cold, Dr Habibi was not welcoming and warm with patients and the facilities and equipments are very basic. Finally I went in about 30 minutes later then my actual appointment time, non of the team including the dentist didn’t bother to apologise. Not satisfied at all and would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience with Dr Kotecha. She was very kind and reassuring throughout the whole experience with me, a nervous newcomer to getting fillings done. I felt almost no pain from the needle or the fillings.

Fantastic experience: I do not like going to the dentist. However Pacific Smiles Dentist staff are all very friendly and make you feel at ease. Dr Habib explains the work your teeth require thoroughly before going ahead. They also give a quote to allow you to decide what work you may wish to have done first. And they offer payment through Zip and Afterpay to make it easier.

Negative experience: My wife had a very disappointing experience at Pacific Smiles Dental, Belconnen. Dr Michael Barin, advised that all she needed was teeth restoration, but she experienced pain for several days after the treatment. When she visited them two days later due to a constant pain, Dr Morteza Habibi advised that she actually needed a root canal. we were shocked and disappointed that the first dentist did not take the time to properly diagnose her issue and provide an appropriate treatment plan. It's concerning that they missed such a critical aspect of her dental health, and she feel like her time and money ($595.07 first visit, $132 second visit) were wasted on an ineffective treatment. Furthermore, the staff at the practice were unprofessional, as my wife was supposed to receive a check up phone call the next day. Unsurprisingly she received nothing and the staff explanation was busy, (don’t promise or advertise What you CAN NOT deliver). Overall, we would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking quality dental care. The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and dismissive attitude of the staff make me question the level of care provided by the practice."

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I went to Pacific smiles dental Belconnen on 30/07/2022 and did comprehensive oral check up. A dentist (gentleman) based on x-ray report and general check up, confirmed that there was only one decay need to do filling. Therefore, I made a treatment appointment on 27/08/2022. Today, a dentist (lady) told me there were 7 decays need to be fixed asap. She told me these are wide but not deep, so X ray can't capture these. I were also told the first dentist is a visitor dentist, so I've been charged examination fee again on treatment appointment, plus two fillings instead of only one shows on x-ray.

Negative experience: I had a really horrible experience here with my child who required a filling. He needed local anaesthetic and I noticed he was extremely drowsy after. I felt panicked and concerned for my child. The Dentist told me he was “tired” and having a nap.. during a filling??? He then could obviously sense my anxiety and proceeded to squirt water in my sons face, jolting him.. he looked over and said to me “are you happy now” And proceeded. Absolutely Disgusting!

Fantastic experience: Have had a heap of fillings done by Dr Habibi, his bed side manner is great and he does a great job. After many issues previously I can happily say I have found my dentist going forward. The reception staff are also very friendly.

Great service with extra attention to making me feel safe whilst having my check ups and any dental work. Highly recommend if you need to see a dentist.

Negative experience: I saw Dr Charu for a side tooth checkup and filling- at this visit she suggested that she can 'easily fix' a gap in between my front two teeth (ie. my two biggest teeth and centre of my smile). I have had good teeth my whole life this gap was only noticeable when I smiled fully. She showed me what it will look like with some mock filling -obviously a more perfect look. I decided to go ahead and have this filled at another appointment. Once the filling was done I was left with yellow line staining all over my front 2 teeth. I asked what this is and she was completely lost for an answer-and said this has never happened before. She said she will 'fix it' and what followed was a series of what felt like intense scrapping. I was left with stained and rough front teeth where I can actually see a complete indentation on my teeth and extreme sensitivity. She then went on to tell me about veneers...I am in my 20s! This was a blatant attempt to cover up the fact that she has mucked up my teeth. I have been stressed ever since- I have now seen another dentist who has assessed by teeth and has advised that a filling has been placed all over my front 2 teeth! I am beyond disappointed and upset that I trusted Dr Charu with my teeth- I now have a filling over my front 2 teeth forever- there is patchy staining and indentation remaining and cannot be fixed without complete removal- a bigger risk than maintaining them as they are. This was the worst health professional experience of my life and I will be worried about the health of these 2 teeth for the rest of my life. Please think twice before going to this practice and taking advice that something can be 'easily fixed'.

Fantastic experience: Lost a quarter of my tooth (during lockdown), was lucky enough to get an appointment the same day. The office staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Dr Stephany Barrera was excellent. She explained everything clearly and told me what was happening as she went and made sure I was comfortable. Dr Barrera took the time to explain if I have and issues/ discomfort that I should return and told me what she could do to fix it, specifically mentioning that ignoring the discomfort could cause issues. As far as dental experiences go I would rate this highly. They are not my normal dentist but would certainly consider changing provided I could see Dr Barrera.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Barrera. She full explained everything properly and she did an amazing job that forever I will be grateful for. Definitely she is the first dentist ever in my life that I would fully trust. You can also tell from the way she explain things and the different treatment options she gives you that she has been well educated and a lot of experience. The BEST and many thanks from me ! Friendly receptionist and staff. On a side note the digital experience could be made better such as for example: 1- Online booking more accurate in regards to appointments availability. 2- As a new patient there was a lot of information to fill out in the forms which took about 10 minutes. I would suggest an email sent to the patient before coming in that can fill out the forms online, or an app that you can on the spot fill out the forms online instead of paper and pen.

Fantastic experience: There seems to be a consistent theme of Stephany Barrera having good reviews. This review will be based on my visit 19/7/21 Monday 2:40pm. Arrivals process was COVID sensible, quick and efficient. Front of house staff while appear to be busy didn't lapse in manner which is common in health settings. The cleaning and examination process was thorough and my presenting concerns were addressed methodically. Imaging was linked back to structure, function and ongoing maintenance. Often in other fast paced healthcare setting, rapport and explanation is often sacrificed but not here. I would've been ready to pay a gap amount but apparently my HBF covered my entire appointment. Will return for ongoing care. Happy patient.

Negative experience: Was told that everything would be covered by my health fund when I made a booking. However, after my appointment they said that it wasn't covered. Not happy about being tricked by false and misleading information. They should have known better.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gouni is amazingly kind and such an expert! As well as her assistant! My toothache has bothered me for days and thanks to Dr. Gouni and her assistant (nurse) it's gone! Love you doctor!

Negative experience: I had an appointment with Dr Michael Barin for a general checkup. He talked me into a "panoramic xray" and found no issues. 6 weeks later I visited another dentist for an unrelated issue, and he found two caries. Not only was this procedure ineffective, I also understood it to be free. It actually cost me almost $100. My previous experiences with this company were positive at their Woden branch and with Dr Nirosha Balasubramaniam. Unfortunately she no longer works there.

Fantastic experience: I was overwhelmed at the way that the staff supported a girl who had special needs. Amelia was simply amazing.

Positive experience: I loved Dr. Lee. She was amazing doctor, very friendly, communicated well and done great job. I’m very disappointed that she’s not working there anymore. I tried another doctor last time, she was okay but I was not as happy as before. I wasn’t 100% satisfied with teeth cleaning... I’ll try another doctor next time probably. I wish Dr. Lee will come back!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been here twice now and both times, everyone has been extremely friendly and efficient! Dr Lee is wonderful and a very caring dentist. They are also a no gaps dentist which means if you have private health cover, there is no gap to pay (hard to find in Canberra)! Wonderful service, highly recommend :)

Negative experience: Dont book a 5:30 appointment! I turned up 10 mins prior to my appointment time, and didnt get in to the appointment until 5:51pm. My appointment was concluded at 6:04. (Including Xrays) The general check up I got was so rushed and painful it was ridiculous! Never have I bled or hurt so much. The whole experience was terrible. I generally enjoy my 6 monthly clean but I will never be back. I moved from Sydney and it's actually WORTH me making the 7 hour return trip to avoid this again.
