Positive experience: Wait time in excess of 30 to 60 mins post appointment time booked is not great

Fantastic experience: Dr Patrus is an amazing GP. He is kind, thorough and knowledgeable. He takes time to listen and understand. Fantastic with children also. The clinic is clean and welcoming. We don’t go anywhere els.

Negative experience: I have had so many issues with this place . Between cancelling at last minute, main reception not passing on information and taking 3 days of continuous calling to organize,incorrect phone call info, emails not sent on time causing massive issues, charging for over the phone prescriptions ( not due to any fault of mine) . Hard to enter/exit parking, extra long wait times. I'm not happy

Fantastic experience: It is so hard to find a truly great doctor—someone who not only has the knowledge but also genuinely cares about their patients. I’ve seen my fair share of GPs over the years, but it wasn’t until I had my son that I truly came to appreciate how important it is to have a doctor who listens, understands, and shows compassion. Dr. Elizabeth Jose is exactly that. She takes the time to listen, engage, investigate, and respond thoughtfully. As a first-time mum, it can be overwhelming when your concerns aren’t taken seriously. I’ve experienced that before, and it ended badly for my son. But with Dr. Jose, I have never once felt dismissed. She has always been understanding, compassionate, and reassuring, which makes all the difference. I must admit, I’m at CFP often (my child seems to catch just about everything!), and the team is always welcoming. In particular, Shae at reception goes above and beyond to accommodate us despite how busy the practice is. I’m not sure of her exact role within the team, but I can honestly say she is worth her weight in gold. We are on a first name basis, so you know we are there alot! I am so grateful to CFP, especially to Dr. Jose and Shae, for the care and kindness they provide. Knowing we have such a supportive and reliable team looking after us is truly comforting. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If I could give more than 5 starts it would be to them. Thank you CFP, until next time.

Negative experience: I booked a vaccine appointment for my newborn and called to reschedule only to be told upon arrival of the appointment that no nurses were available to administer the vaccines. I don’t understand why a doctor couldn’t administer the vaccines. Won’t be going back waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patrus is brilliant, management of patient care and support spot on, listens and works through patients care needs and requirements in order of necessity and importance for the right health outcome, if you want top care from a brilliant GP than this dr is worth the wait for available appointments and even if I had to wait in the waiting room all day id do it for the care he provides but even waiting isn't an issue because his professional management in his GP career is brilliant before you even meet him. You don't find Drs like him anymore these days so I will be staying with him indefinitely for all my health needs

Negative experience: I booked for a skin check with a lady docter calling herself Elizabeth. After waiting 45 minutes in a very small waiting room. This docter had all my details up from my own docter without my permission. Asking me all details from it. I said I'm here for a skin check. She said I know your irritated and I said yes I am. She said come back on the Monday for skin check. I said no I won't it now. She had a look at half my legs and my arms. Not really knowing what is what. Said she will have to biopsy some. Put Vaseline on yr body for a week and come back in a week. I would never return to this docter.

Negative experience: I had not been to this clinic before, I booked in for a simple flu vaccination on a Friday afternoon only to be told once arriving that the nurse had left for the day. I would have appreciated a call at least to let me know that my appointment had been cancelled. Will definitely not be going back

Negative experience: WARNING about this place!! Carrara family practice (used to be called new life medical centre) Dr Luna used to be there, she has now sold and moved to broadbeach Since the new owners took over I have attended this practice for a vit B infusion. The nurse later told me they tried to make her ring me days later to try charge me an extra $50 and apparently every patient is phoned to ‘make an extra payments’.

Negative experience: Terrible service with unskilled GP, 5 recurring appointments (ultrasound, wound dressing) to get a splinter out then refused to attempt the small procedure referring us to the hospital. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: I was after a doctor from my country who used to work there. I called a month in advance to make sure I had made the time to go see this doctor, asked to take the day off. I completed the relevant forms, sent them my medical history, payment details, etc and on the same day of the appointment I am told the doctor doesnpt work there anymore. I could have been informed this was the case way before that day. Waste of time and lack of communication.

Negative experience: The Practice has definitely not the same since Dr Luna left. Not as friendly. Had the experience where a booked appointment was cancelled and I was not notified. They have not been very helpful so I have changed to another Medical Centre

Negative experience: Worst doctors I’ve ever been to waited an hour for my appointment this is ridiculous. Doctor was walking around socialising between appointments so ridiculous wait an hour for a 5 minute appointment.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst healthcare experiences I've had in all my years here in Australia. I've visited this clinic three times now, and each time I'm more surprised by the lack of professionalism and care for serving. It's supposed to be a service that contributes to the community's benefit and helps people in need, but it seems like there's a severe lack of organization or maybe just a focus on money. First, starting with the appointments, it's impossible that every time I schedule a medical appointment, I receive a text message changing the time, and when I arrive, I'm made to wait double the supposed time. We all have countless things to do in our day, and it's disrespectful to play with everyone's time like that. Second, there's a lack of coordination between the administrative staff and the doctors. I visited for a simple reason of reading an MRI, and I had to go twice because they never had the results of the exams (and in the end, they still didn't have them). Third, many of us in the Latin community come here with the sole reason of being served by a professional who speaks Spanish, supposedly to feel the warmth of our country. But what a surprise to encounter such a rude and harsh doctor. Her way of speaking, expressing herself, and treating patients shows a lack of love for her profession. I don't know if she's overloaded with work or if too many patients are assigned to her, but one truly feels scolded after each appointment, as if we're begging for a service that is paid for and paid for dearly. There's a lack of gentleness in her speech, and I always feel like she's rushing because she's overbooked. Rude and incomplete information, in short, I could say much more... Do yourself a favor, if you want good service, respect, help, and a Latino person attending to you, go somewhere else where you can be well served and welcomed

Negative experience: My fiance has left a 2 star review that we had never received our pregnancy documents after switching doctors. We were then responded with an email and that they will send it. I‘ve emailed but still haven‘t received any response at all! Terrible service even after the changes in staff that they mentioned.

Negative experience: My Wife was a client here for her pregnancy. The doctor is good but the service outside the meetings is pretty bad. With all our appointments we had to wait 30+ minutes than what was scheduled. Also we were told that we receive all details/documents via email as we changed doctors but we never received anything even after calling twice. Hence we call it a bad service that isn’t even on time. Nevertheless our doctor was very nice and good.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad to have found My New Life Health Centre - I’ve seen both Dr Pat and Dr Luna many times for myself and my son. They are both perfect doctors - kind, gentle, knowledgeable and professional. They both take their time to do their job throughly and explain things clearly (so yes, they sometimes run overtime meaning there’s sometimes a bit of a wait beforehand, particularly in the afternoons, but it’s worth it. I would rather that than a clinic that rushes). My son absolutely loves Dr Pat - he is so upbeat and cheerful that he makes even needles an enjoyable time! I appreciate that they bulk bill for kids. Receptionist, Adam, is personable and friendly. Overall, there’s a really good feel in the centre. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr Luna has been my doctor for many years. I cannot thank her enough for her care, understanding and excellent clinical advise. She is methodical, experienced, caring and she will not rest until she finds the answer to your medical problem. One formidable lady doctor as the saying goes!!!:) I recently changed from my usual dentist to My new Health Dental Centre and I am very pleased with their professional approach, patient care and affordable rate. I cannot stop smiling to thanks to the team ate MNL Dental Centre:)

Negative experience: Bad experience! Came here for pcr test for overseas travel! Staff got me do RAT test instead of pcr saying only $20 but charged me $70 Every step of the way they lied! untrained staff they employ where the management do not provide sufficient training to staff. Another staff advised they will do rat and pcr combined $70 But then forced me to pay $70 uselessly for doing a rat test! (uselessly charged extra for report) It’s illegal to charge for a service which u do not tell ppl before u provide the service! Untrained and money hungry staff members! no threat was made to anyone, I was annoyed why u made me do something that I did not know, all I ask is train the people properly who manage the business...
