Negative experience: I booked what I thought was a dentist/orthodontist appointment and was seen by someone who isn’t even a dentist. He looked at my X-rays and photos, gave advice he’s not qualified to give, swore during the consult, and then told me in front of everyone in the waiting room, “Sorry, we can’t help you.” This isn’t about whether they could treat me, it’s about how unprofessional and rude the whole thing was. Cheap for a reason, I’ll only go to a registered dentist or orthodontist from now on.
We know it can be frustrating being told that you aren't suitable for treatment that you were hopeful would resolve a long term problem. But our patient's health and safety is our top priority and we try to be affordable by only choosing mild to moderate cases as clearly stated on our website. And we won't treat cases unless we can deliver results.
All clinical records are reviewed by our registered dental practitioners before you are seen by our treatment coordinator. The only advice given was about other options and practitioners that might be able to help you.
If you are the type of person who tries to tear others down with false statements because they don't give you what you want, even though it's in your best interest, then we clearly made the right decision to refer you out. All the best finding a suitable solution.

The smile outlet gold coast has an absolutely beautiful family like feeling they’re always welcoming with a smile and they always remember everybody as an individual, they’re very helpful when it comes to payments and updating you on your progress and payments, the smile outlet gold coast is the place to go if you want a brand new smile and amazing experience throughout treatment! Plus a big bonus is the beautiful location where while you wait you can sit on the parkland and relax for the day watching the boats and birds on the water or even enjoy a nice walk over the lake. Fantastic experience: Upon entering the clinic, we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, who greeted us with friendly smiles. The clinic is well managed, and the staff have remembered our names at every appointment. My daughter received affordable braces and had a great experience. 10/10 —cheers
Negative experience: I was really disappointed all round. I am older, and maybe my old teeth did not appeal. From being called from the waiting room for my consult being addresses as "You, yes you", to being told after a 20 minute wait that my teeth were decaying and that I needed to see a dentist and then get back to them. I've now seen a dentist who told me there is no decay at all, just slight discolouration. If you don't fit their demographic of patient, or have concerns, then definately get a second opinion.
Hi Lauren, so sorry that you felt that we did not provide you with the very best of service but referring you back to your dentist for treatment was the correct and appropriate decision. Our primary concern is always for the oral health of our patients. If someone has broken teeth, possible decay or in need or any other dental work, we always ask them to attend to this with their regular dentist before starting treatment. Perhaps there was a miscommunication but we did not say that your teeth were all decaying, but said that you have some broken teeth and some possible decay that would need to be attended to before we could consider any orthodontic treatment. That's why we take photos and xrays of all new consultation. It was clear from your records that you had some outstanding dental work and no practitioner would start orthodontic treatment until these issues are resolved. So that's pretty harsh in our opinion to leave us a 1-star review for asking you to attend to necessary dental treatment. We wish you all the best finding a solution to your concerns.

Fantastic experience: Guys we thought there was a catch! How could this be so much cheaper than other quotes we received? We went In to the initial appt hesitant, but soon enough, we felt confident with the information, tests and imaging and decided to go ahead. Fast forward about 16 months and my daughter has been transformed. Her bite, palate, crowding and smile have all changed dramatically, and for the better. The confidence our daughter oozes after being picked on my peers is beyond our wildest dreams. We travel from Brisbane to receive this care and wouldn’t have it any other way. - We will definitely be back for our other two children, and can hand-on-heart genuinely recommend The Smile Outlet. Negative experience: I went here, was told I have gum disease and a missing part of my jaw bone, I was told that if I get braces my teeth will fall straight out. Spent a lot of money going to see a periodontist and an oral surgeon that Dr Stephan advised me to do, only to be told everything he said to me wasn’t true. I do NOT have gum disease and the “missing” part of my jaw was an inflamed disc that is still very well there. The X-rays they did of my mouth were extremely low quality, as they were looked at by other dentists and they even said so them selves. If I could give no stars I would. I left my appointment very upset. Do not recommend
Hi Ali, we are sorry that you left feeling upset but we cannot treat patients unless they have a certain level of oral health. It is our duty to make sure patients are healthy and medically fit to commence orthodontic treatment. If a patient has jaw pain, inflamed gums, and missing teeth, we generally refer this patient for further investigation. You are welcome to have any reports from these dentists sent to our office. Negative experience: Started well as a referral. But communication is very sub standard. Have tried 8 times for over the past month to speak to someone about an appointment as required and get nothing but a answering machine even inside published operating hours....
Hi Justin, yes if you have called 8 times and we have not responded, that would be unacceptable and we apologise greatly for that. But we don't have any patient by that name in our system. Also, as you can see we normally respond very quickly to all inquiries as we've replied to this within 15 minutes. Please email us with your correct contact information so we can reply immediately and even on weekends. We apologise again if we have let you down.

Fantastic experience: Great service and very caring. There were 3 in our family with aligners and staff always made sure to get at least two of us in at the same time or one after the other. All the staff are really lovely and it doesn't feel like a daunting dentist surgery. Colourful surrounds and doesn't smell like a dentist surgery either which is a bonus. Fantastic experience: Wow. Soo happy I found the Smile Outlet and got retainers at 60 years of age. The Smile Outlet staff are soo friendly, upbeat and professional. I can't believe it has taken only 40 weeks to improve so much that has nothing to do with the cosmetic benefits. I no longer have a huge underbight which has assisted in snoring less, possibly helped in reducing my migraine headaches, Prior to the retainers my jaw was in pain, I presume now it was due to the overcrowding. I could never floss before as I could not get floss between my teeth. Now I can and have improved my dental hygiene so much as a result. My daughter used to tell me I had bad breath and hopefully now that is a thing of the past as is the tartar problem I had as well. On top of that I have a bad family history of ALzeimers disease and studies are now saying that there appears to be a correlation between people with tartar build up and a link to Alzeimers. Lastly I am looking forward to smiling without feeling self conscious. Many thanks to the Smile Outlet for your support and just being awesome :)

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in I was greeted with cheerful smiles at reception, which already had a positive first impression. The dentist was very gentle and has the patience of an angel. I have sensitive teeth and had to stop a few times and they didn’t rush me at all! Would really recommend if you have kids.

Fantastic experience: THE BEAUTIFUL BEATA! This woman is beyond skilled! I am so comfortable throughout every experience I have had with her.(& I am usually not a fan of visiting an orthodontist.) Not only is she extremely gentle and precise, she is excellent at explaining necessary tips, tricks and instructions for the best result possible. I could not commend & recommend her more!
