Positive experience: It is fine if you can find a time to book an appointment. Unfortunately around 2020 Dr Doan significantly cut his availability & practice hours (& different as advertised on their website). With all due respect, I very much understand how important family time is, however it would be appreciated if he arranged time with a colleague to cover the time he's away from the practice, rather than abandoning his patients. As ignoring his patients might be considered by some as disrespectful & insensitive/inconsiderate to his patients & practice. Also if I have to be honest, the reception don't seem to return my emails or answering machine messages. There seems to be a certain work ethic missing from the practice.

Positive experience: I want to preface this with saying that Dr Doan is a great GP. He is genuinely there to help you and cares about you. Saying this, on two seperate occasions, after showing up on time to my pre scheduled appointments, I had to wait an hour before I can see the doctor. First time I rescheduled but after it happened again, I will not be coming back. This is not right.

His dedication and expertise in pediatric care are outstanding. For instance, he explained my daughter's diagnosis in a way that eased her anxiety about treatment. Positive experience: I visited this clinic for the first time last Saturday, 25th May. The receptionist was approachable and assisted me with the questions I had. The GP was also professional and took his time to listen to my condition. I came back today for a laboratory test, and it only took me around 15 minutes. I'll be back again for follow-up check-ups and will try their dental service next time. One thing to note, though: make sure to call or verify first if there's no gap fee for your insurance, as the information in the NIB app is sometimes not updated. I had to pay a gap fee on my initial visit. Keep up the good work! I will definitely recommend this clinic to my colleagues.

Negative experience: End of 2023 Update: 2/5 stars reasoning. I will no longer be retuning for either their medical or dental services. Bulk billing only on Mondays and Fridays and medical appointments are always running late. My last visit with Dr Doan, after already 30 mins behind the booking schedule, picked up a personal call from his wife asking about shopping on the landline during my examination booking. A quick short call would have been forgivable but this was 5-10 minutes. After a few dental visits, each time being quiet expensive, the last one has damaged my nerve due what I suspect wrong anaesthesia placement. This and again, running late, and greeted with the somewhat condescending"what are you getting done today?", I'm the patient, I was asked to come back after a check up to get some filling, I'm not suppose to know exactly how to correctly respond to this. A normal check for booking confi is normal, one 24 hours before and maybe ome the day of, i was contacted by sms 3 times and 4 calls within 24 hours. This was extremely annoying since i had responded to the sms confirmations already. 4 calls in the in 4 hours before a booking at 12pm was unnecessary. Not to my surprise, they were also running 30 mins late to my booking. This annoyed me since they seem to be running hectic and lost their care for their customers. ‐-----‐------- Review from 2019: 5/5 stars Very knowledgeable and cares to know about your medical history to diagnose you properly. Great referrals to nearby services who will be able to assist. Give a you a better understanding of procedures, your options, costs and risks.

So thankful to the receptionist lady who took my daughter in , in such a short notice. The doctor we saw was highly knowledgeable,accommodating and the prescription he gave to my daughter worked immediately cause he knew what was the cause to the sickness. Fantastic experience: I'm amazed that Fr Fidel is both a dentist and a medical doctor who practices in both fields, which he does on different days each week. Such a combination of two highly educated professions is rare to find. I have never had a dentist who provided such a clear diagnosis of my teeth. No doubt, his ability to explain his observations so clearly is attributed to his extensive knowledge in two areas of expertise that complement one another. As I value life-long learning, I was also pleased to learn that Dr Fidel avidly reads many books each week to further develop his proficiency both in dentistry and the general practice of medicine. To top it off, Dr Fidel related personably and also provided bulk billing. Additionally, he, along with his team, related in warm and considerate manner that resulted in me feeling well cared for.

A big thanks to the receptionist Jenna for advising me to another doctor who does bulk billing. Dr. Lim agreed to see me and my son at such a short notice. Fantastic experience: (new patients please read) I went to this place the first time because I lived close and just needed to see a doctor for whatever reason. Since then, never seen another GP purposely besides him. Even after moving houses to strathfield and now burwood, (hopefully in the future still) i still travel to see him. His professional skill and knowledge is what I come for and his care and reassurance is what I stay for. I've been with doctors that value efficiency over quality, I can assure you I'll keep seeing Fidel if he keeps up with his ideolgy of caring for patients. I took 1 star off hoping to motivate him to improve his business model while maintaining his caring qualities. He has a lot to offer and he should get help from other doctors with the same ideology. Hopefully his business is a successful as him being a doctor.

Positive experience: I have updated my rating since the clinic called me and explained the situation. The young lady at the front desk was very nice. However, we booked a flu shot for 10.30 and had to wait for nearly 40 minutes before getting the vaccine. The patient before us had his shot and left at 10.40, but the nurse, who was supposed to see us next, kept us waiting and never turned up. We ended up seeing a GP instead for the vaccine after prolonged waiting. If you can’t see your patient at the appointment time, then please do not take appointments and waste people’s time!

Fantastic experience: I have seen many doctors in Sydney, however Dr Doan stands out as the most knowledgeable, caring and generous doctor out of all. The practice is not bulk billed, but it is a small price to pay to see a doctor who genuinely cares and doesn't rush through his patients. He is generous with his time so that he fully understands your medical issue. I highly recommend this medical practice.

Dr Fidel takes the time to listen to every issues I come to him with, and doesn’t rush me out the door like I have previously experienced. He genuinely cares about all his patients. Negative experience: Receptionist advised they would only accept concession cards from people over 75 years of age, eliminating access to hundreds of people who rely on concessions to survive. Formal complaint made to HCCC.

Negative experience: ****Pending**** all the prev review were for the past - they've changed. now they only care for money. after a blood test (to decide my wife needs a new hepatitis vacine) , they'd force you to pay for a visit just to tell you there's still anibody. other gp are happy to give you a call instead. Negative experience: Doctor is good if you manage to see him. The Receptionist scheduling is the worst. She will book you in for appointment but when you come in, she will either tell you the doctor is late or the doctor cannot see you at all because there so many patients. She does not respect and value your time for coming on time for your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment online for my second vaccine jab. The staff were very friendly upon arrival. The nurse who administered my vaccine was lovely, caring and kind. The nurse explained all the standard protocol with respect to the vaccination and made the whole experience very calming and relaxed, albeit my own nerves. Clean, professional clinic, would recommend to anyone within the locality.

Negative experience: We met lovely dr Lim, she is great with kids.. parking is just outside Which is very convenient. Only thing disappointing is that after my sons swab test, we called back Wednesday to chase for results... associate 1 said will call me back but didn’t, then Thursday I called again spoke to a different lady and she said no time slots available for a dr today .... So I make a booking for Sunday over the phone consul at 9:30, no call received and it’s 11am now. I call to follow up, associate explained that dr us fully booked today but will call before we close if not tomorrow. I’m sorry tomorrow isn’t good enough and by now my son is healed... our school wanted the results before he returned to school. Hopefully this afternoon we won’t miss the call! And miss our 4th opportunity today.

Fantastic experience: I stopped in here because I work in area and needed a prescription, they managed to fit me into their afternoon schedule (this is a small practice I recommend making an appointment!). After a short wait time (about twenty minutes) the nurse apologised for the wait. I have never had had that happen in a doctors surgery ever. I said it wasn’t a long wait and she said “twenty minutes!”. I’ve waited hours at other places but really appreciated her kindness and concern. The nurse was amazing, so kind and friendly and polite and welcoming and Dr Doan is just the same. Such a great bedside manner, easy to talk to, non judgemental - the sort of person you feel like you’ve known for years but also very knowledgeable and professional. I came here for convenience in a rush but I will be changing doctors because honestly this is the sort of practice you don’t see anymore but should be supported. Also, they bulk bill...!

I have seen this doctor for a couple of different issues and always leave this practice feeling well looked after. All of the staff here are extremely friendly and easy to talk to - I moved away from the area but today I travelled 90 minutes to come to this practice as I truly believe they are the best!

Negative experience: Strange & innappropriate. Last time (2019) I had a bad experience, had expressly let them know I think I'll just need to change gps & to let the gp know. I let them know I won't be coming back, & changed my review to 3 stars. The owners wife who works at reception/managing the front side often, then called me & pressed for the reason for a change in my star rating. I tried to say the call is innappropriate & didn't want to discuss it but she pressed & I told her. She then started question me argumentatively, & then, suggested not to come in again (which I already had advised them would be the case previously). I ended up having to hang up & change the review to 1 star. Dr Doan is nice for sure but seems to want to do appointments & drop Ins at the same time, not turning anyone away so the appointment setting is hit & miss, you might have to wait if the drop Ins seem desperate or have little ones and he's also running a dental clinic simultaneously as the dentist himself. There's a confirmation text for your apptmt an hour before it with no mention of a delay and then you arrive and wait half an hour. I can't see why they would sms to make sure you're not late just beforehand but not advise you there will be a delay. I gave some positive feedback at the time & the Dr tried to avoid waiting times when I had an apptmt booked myself, but it wasn't taken on properly. Even what I was prescribed the last time should have been provided in a standard 30 pack ($18) or at least a script with repeats equiv to 30 so I could buy the pack. But I was given a script for 10, & pharmacy having to break pack sizes is much more expensive, anddd I had to keep going back to see him to get more (twice). $18 & one visit became $50 & three visits. I think Dr Down just rushed and overworked, quick fixes, and tries to learn too many things so misses some obvious things, as later in the year my new GP picked up on so many things. I think his wife is just a little less customer service oriented as people managing at a front reception would normally be - the younger/other staff were always super polite & nice.

Negative experience: The Doctor is very good but for those who do not have Medicare card, don't ever go to this Medical centre. You will get the invoice of $80 and when you claim it back with Bupa or other insurance, you will be paid less than half of your invoice because of the high service fee in this centre (you can check in MBS fee). As I was paid only $38 from my invoice. Better check MBS fee and choose your GP.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Fidel Doan is truly one of, if not the best General Practitioners I have visited in Sydney. He conducts comprehensive, thorough assessments and is respectful and informative every step of the way. He is knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely cares about getting to the core of your concerns and makes sure to set up future goals/care plans for ongoing medical issues. You will definitely not feel like you're being rushed out of the door here. Additionally, the centre itself is very modern and well-kept. The staff are always friendly & welcoming. Sad to have to find another GP as I've moved interstate - Would highly recommend Dr. Doan for those looking for a long-term family doctor!

My Partner and I have both Visited Dr Fidel and I am transferring my records across to him tomorrow. If you need a trustworthy and reliable Dr I cannot recommend a better Dr in Sydney, have taken the day off work tomorrow to go collect records so Dr Fidel can treat me on an ongoing basis.

Fantastic experience: Like many other GPs, Dr. Doan is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what he's doing. However, the special thing that makes Dr.Doan stand out from many other GPs is that he genuinely cares about his patients. Whether or not the medical centre is busy, he always spend sufficient amount of time listening to our health issue and find every possible way to solve or relieve our concerns. In addition, he also follows up with us on our test results thoroughly and we really appreciate it! After a few visits, I and my partner are very happy and we decide to have him as our regular GP.
