I used to be terrified at other dental clinics because I found them very rough and needing multiple numbing injections to get even the most basic clean, but that fear is gone as Dr Sutherland is very gentle, thorough and makes the experience a breeze.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have had all our dental needs looked after by Dr Mike Sutherland since 2001. Whilst most visits were for routine maintenance, we were impressed from the onset by his caring style and soft hands. From 2015 my wife required treatment to remediate a deterioration in her teeth. This included specialist dental surgery involving extractions, bone grafting, implants and orthodontic realignment. Throughout the extended process Mike coordinated the treatment between him and his team together with the specialist surgeon and orthodontist to achieve a great outcome. My wife’s dental health and smile have now been restored and there is no longer a threat to her quality of life. We have no reservations in recommending him. Frank n Jo

Fantastic experience: Today both my wife and myself attended Dental Care Smithfield. It was our first visit with Dr Michael Sutherland to say I was impressed would be an understatement.I have never in my 67 years been to a dentist that was so incredibly gentle. I said after the filling that it was only because I was awake at the time that I knew the filling had been done. It is great to know that we now after several disappointments with dentists have now found Michael. Both dental nurses Ashley and Jedidah are also a great compliment to the practice.

Fantastic experience: Was most impressed with this modern, state of the art Smithfield dental clinic which I’d not visited before being on holidays from Melbourne. Had been suffering quite severe tooth ache and facial & ear pain for few days, left a voice message with clinic Anzac Day (public holiday) received a phone following morning to say Dr Sutherland would see me. He X-rayed the tooth & gum, thoroughly explained his findings & suggestions, communicated with my Melbourne dental clinic, dispensed antibiotics & forwarded X-Rays to my Melbourne dentist. Found Dr Sutherland a most professional, gentle & competent dentist. His friendly, efficient staff also made for a good experience. My tooth & facial pain has since subsided. An excellent outcome!
