Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Thornbury Family Dental over the past 2 years after visiting multiple different dental clinics over the past few decades. These folks are so kind and sensitive to your needs. I needed a lot of work done after avoiding the dentist and leaving it long periods in between appointments, but the staff and dentists make it so welcoming. I get major anxiety with needles and they are patient and understanding with me. Today I had my final appointment in my Invisilign journey and I couldn't be happier with how my teeth have turned out. I couldn't believe the difference! The team even gave me flowers to congratulate me. I feel they're all my friends and going to the dentist is no longer a chore. Thank you everyone!

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is brilliant! I had a painful, impacted wisdom tooth but couldn't get into my normal dentist. Thornbury Family Dental were able to fit me in. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and at ease. Dr. Hahn is a wonderful and caring dentist (as are all of the staff). She has a wonderful 'chair-side manner'. She was able to remove the tooth with little fuss. I had a second wisdom tooth removed here. Both great experiences. Dr. Hahn explained everything during a checkup and worked with me to create a plan going forward. I will be sticking with this dental practice from now on. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I moved to Melb a year ago midway through my Invisalign treatment and was so nervous about transferring my treatment to a different dentist in a new country. However, from the moment I stepped into the space to connecting with Dr Han and Dr Oliver and the girls, I felt so assured by the professionalism and care that the team provided. I proceeded to continue my treatment with them, finishing my Invisalign journey smoothly and further beautifying my smile through the magic of Dr Oliver’s teeth designing skills (idk the profesh terms). Fantastic experience: So I broke a molar at 6pm tonight. Called them, they squeezed me in at 730pm and the tooth was repaired by 830pm. I already have a dentist but they were already shut. I would come to Oliver again anytime.

From the minute I walked in, I knew that I could trust the staff to help me with my journey. Dr Oliver and his staff sat me down from the beginning and thoroughly mapped it all out. From the teeth cleaning, wisdom tooth removal (that I hardly felt) to the numerous Invisalign scans - the care and precision that was taken by the practitioners were second to none. Fantastic experience: After quite a mess up with my appointment, I was contacted after the weekend to try and explain the situation, what they have done to prevent it from happening again, and was offered compensation for the mess around. I have taken them up on the offer. They do seem to care a lot about customer satisfaction. Very well done! ======ORIGINAL REVIEW====== Had an appointment for 8:30am for a month in advance. Received multiple text messages leading up to the appointment that confirmed 8:30am. The day before, I get a call confirming my appointment for 9:30am. I said that it was booked for 8:30, but they insisted that the booking was for 8:30 and that the SMS was incorrect. I said I had an important work meeting at 9:30, so I couldn't do that. They suggested 10:20am for a consultation and clean which was a double booking. I confirmed with the lady to make sure it was a double booking because I knew I needed that. She confirmed this and we made the booking for 10:20am. I had work meetings throughout my day which I had to rearrange to get the appointment in. Then, on the day of the appointment, I get a call shortly after 8:30am saying that they were expecting me at 8:30am??? And then told me that the appointment I was rescheduled for wasn't a double and I'd have to come back later in the afternoon for the 2nd half of my appointment. Seems to be lacking internal communication. Would've loved to give a review about the service itself, but unfortunately I couldn't even make it past the appointment process. 2 stars because they at least tried to fit me in today, even if it was in multiple time slots.

I came in experiencing some pain I suspected was a cavity after a few years without seeing a dentist due to finical strain. They made me feel incredibly comfortable and diagnosed the cause of my pain. They then walked through options for treatment with particular care for my finical position. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Thornbury Family Dental by a friend after having negative dental experiences elsewhere. It's not like going to the dentist is anyone's favorite thing to do, my previous unpleasant experiences made me hesitant. Much to my relief being treated by Dr Alice and Dr Oliver has been the exact opposite to that. I even came to enjoy my time there. After an initial clean and consultation I did start an Invisalign program, so i was visiting there once every couple of months for about two years to check up on my program and receive new aligners. The entire process was completely comfortable and enjoyable. I was in control of my own treatment and they valued my input. Choosing to have an Invisalign treatment I would say is quite a commitment and it is totally up to you as the client to be diligent with your aligners, however it is the Orthodontist/Dentist (Dr Alice) who manages the program. Dr Alice Chen was friendly, very clear, and thorough throughout the entire process and made it easy for me to follow. Anyone considering an Invisalign treatment or even if you're just after a clean or a check up I cannot recommend the services of the team at Thornbury Family Dental enough. Do yourself a favor!

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Thornbury Family Dental more highly. Dr Alice and Dr Oliver have built a beautiful practice with a family feel that is truly caring. As a low income earner I was able to space out extensive treatment and have been given a renewed confidence in my oral health and appearance. Dr Alice is a dental wizard and perfectionist and always went the extra mile to make me feel comfy: playing music, watching nature docos in the ceiling, reassuring and calming my nerves during bigger procedures. All the nurses are absolutely incredible. They're friendly, efficient and very skilled. The practice is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and COVID protocols were handled impeccably. Fantastic experience: Dr Oliver and his team are always courteous, friendly and take a genuine interest in their patients. Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in 16 years and all of the staff were extremely accommodating. We put together a plan and I've been seeing Julian on and off for a couple weeks. He made me feel very comfortable when working on my teeth and the screen on the ceiling with nature documentaries is a great bonus! I recently had to cancel an appointment at late notice due to COVID and the staff were fantastic in meeting my needs. I can't recommend this place enough :)

In the past I’ve had dentist that turf you in and out in 10 minutes, whereas you feel in Thornbury Family Dental they take the full hour to go through thorough xrays and inspection, and explain to you in simple terms what it means to you and how to fix the issue. I’ve had a few fillings done so far that has been an absolute breeze, my usual attitude toward dental visits as a necessary evil is now completed changed. Fantastic experience: The best dental practice and dental care I have ever experienced. Highly recommended! Dr Oliver is genuine, patient and takes the time to discuss the details with you. And his team is really lovely, too. I started going there mid 2018 and Dr Oliver suggested a deep clean to address a receding gum issue on my bottom teeth, something my previous dentists failed to recommend (over 5 years!). After 6 months I returned and Dr Oliver measured my gum line to compare the previous measurements, and to my delight, the gum line had grown back a little and was much healthier. More recently he fitted a crown on a back tooth and did a wonderful job. Thank you Dr Oliver and the entire team. See you in 6 months! (By the way... when you were doing those fillings for me today and asked me a question and I didn't answer... I was too engrossed in the documentary on the overhead TV. Very much an indication of how relaxed I am while you do your work, haha!).

I was referred here by a freind, while I booked for a Friday I was busy and had to rebook for the Saturday. No problems with the change.
