Fantastic experience: My family and I recently visited NIB for our first check up with Dr Ritika Pradhan. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating especially with young kids. She was knowledgeable and helped us to make a plan on how to improve our overall oral health! I would highly recommended this practice to anyone looking for an overall family friendly place.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment as I am in pain. Received a missed call today with a voice message that my appointment needs to be rescheduled and a request to call back. Have called 5 times now but the number is disconnect.

I work full time so it is hard to get there throughout the week, however there are some days that you can get a later appointment. The dentists are amazing, gentle and they explain everything to you regarding your oral healthcare. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Dr Janice has a great sense of empathy and a passion for her profession that endears her to her patients. I have used NIB in the past because of the reputational risk of overinflated pricing. While not cheapest, their pricing is fair compared to what other dental surguries were quoting. While I have never had a need to test this there is also the expectation that they will correct any mistakes with no hassles. Dr Janice D immediatly put me at ease and took the time to discuss all my options, the pricing, the benefits and disadvantages of each option. I recieved phone reminders of the appointment. I was caught in traffic on the way and rang to say I was running 10 min late. It was not a problem, the next appointment had arrived early, she saw them and was almost finished by the time we arrived. Great experience over all.

Negative experience: Beware if you need to attend with a child in pram. The toilet facilities which do not even have a fold down change table are at the very end of the hallway . If you can manage the gauntlet to get to the bathroom that is. As there are a number of trolleys and equipment littering the hallway which I am almost certain could classify as a fire hazard in case of an emergency. The staff think the consultation rooms aren’t large enough for you to be able to attend with your child, if you are in a situation and have no one to look after them. If I attended with somebody else I would have left my child in the waiting area and gone into the consultation alone. Staff seem quite clueless and unwilling to assist.

Fantastic experience: Not far from public transport, helpful when need to change appointments. As a NIB member you get some freebies, and others automatically taken off your year's allowance. I've had two dentists, and both very considerate of me while working on my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have tried many different dentists and Dr Tejas Vather is by far the best! He is patient and understanding always putting my dental anxiety at ease. He explains everything clearly and has a friendly and welcoming presence. He performed my wisdom teeth removal and did an excellent job. He gave me all the information and allowed me to ask any questions or bring up any concerns I may of had prior to the surgery. Dr Vather also presented all the options for the procedure including full transparency with the costs options and gave me the chance to choose the best option for me. Overall, I will be recommending him to everyone!

Fantastic experience: No dental surgery is fun let's get that out of the way! However, when staff and doctors and assistants are focussed on client needs and attend appropriately it makes the process tolerable to the extent you are going to tell all your friends about it. This was my recent experience of showing up at Parramatta NIB this past week. I discussed my long standing issue with an infected root canal to assess my options for dental implant. Dr Grewal checked my xray, and said that an implant was a good option. However the tooth had to come out and the site heal before that could be confirmed and explained why. I asked if she could go ahead and remove the tooth, and with just a blink she shifted gears and said yes! This was not planned but had been on my mind and not wanting to relinquish a tooth I had hung on stubbornly for years suffering ongoing infections that would clear then return. Dr Grewal knew what I was going through exactly and it made me trust her to hear her describe it. Anyway to cut a very long story short in demonstrating her competence and compassion she made me feel confident to proceed with the inevitable. Its the day after the extraction and I don't feel enough pain to need painkillers. The mark of a job well done! Thank you doctor and NIB for hiring her.

Negative experience: Been going here for years, dental work is good. The waiting room seats are discussting. Stained and grotty. If the waiting room seats are this foul, are they cleaning the dental equipment correctly after each use?

Fantastic experience: Dr Keertana has made my experience at the dentist 100x better than expected. She is wonderful to speak with, and very reassuring and caring to make you feel comfortable. I saw my previous dentist for 5 years and was nervous about changing, but I can say I have seen nothing but kindness and have had a great experience. The reception staff leave some room for improvement, but other than than, I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

Negative experience: They tell you they’ll have to cancel appointment if running 10min late but will gladly make you wait for 30min-40min past your appointment time even when you’re on time. Receptionists are pathetic, can’t even do basic admin job and sends confirmations to the wrong number despite having the correct contact numbers on file and the dentists just try to squeeze more money out by trying to force you in getting all these extra services when you’re just after a simple cleaning.

Positive experience: Dr Shrestha from NIB Parramatta is friendly, thorough, helpful and patient. She explained why and what she was doing. She's one of the best dentists at Parramatta NIB. It's a shame she no longer works on the week ends. My partner and I have had some bad experiences with other dentists at NIB. But certainly very happy with Dr Shrestha.

He performed a surgery that was considered difficult by my main dentist and quicker than anticipated. I also praise his luck as I have no side effects such as a swollen face despite the fact that we had to cut my gums. Talented doctor! Would be happy to recommend him to anyone.

Negative experience: The management of nib should be aware why we as a family stopped going there. Dr Shrestha completely damaged my gums as well as my hubby's while cleaning. Both of us are left with a very big noticeable gap in between our gums thanks to this incompetent dentist! Plz DO NOT go there for dental service unless you intentionally want to permanently damage your precious gums!

Fantastic experience: I have been under the care of NIB Parramatta for many years and like most, have seen a myriad of dental practioners over this time. Like my wife, who is also a patient, we were shocked at some of the reviews that we read commenting on the practice, the service, the care, empathy, communication, skills, costs and even a comment citing “racist” (which I note did not have an actual name attached). Having been in professional business for over 40+ years, it takes only one single adverse narrative to bring down a reputation, a dedication, a skill level and an experience and also, unfortunately can sometimes be warranted. The same single but favourable narrative can also promote the experience and indeed the profession but unfortunately, is often not even offered as a review. The adverse will always be reported, the favourable often not. For my mind the single and spasmodic adverse comment often is not a true reflection of the experience. It unfortunately takes the angry and vexed customer to report their adverse experience. The care and professional skills proffered by my NIB team can only be reported as exemplary. My procedure started in August 2018. It concluded May 2021, so I can comment on a vast array of service, contact and experience. It started with a complex examination and an explanation of the entire procedure, cost and timeline. Overall, the strategy was to improve gum health, realign several teeth that were impacting my bite and smile, replace with several implant crucial teeth to correctly align my actual bite and overall, provide me with a confident smile with a full set of fully functioning teeth. Without question, Dr Tejas Vather, his surgical assistant Jenisha, the reception team of Lisa and Naa (together with a myriad of others) have been professional, caring, dexterous in delivery of service, most business like, competent and most capable. They are polite, courteous and affable and even talk about my motorcycles. My last visit was celebrated with care and eminence, culminating in photographs all round, a truly moving experience. I would wholeheartedly and without question recommend both this team and this practice for your consideration. To the “Big T” and his expert troupe, my thanks for a painless yet effervescent experience…see you in November.

My dentist Dr Tejas Vather has been fantastic over the years, very helpful and super friendly. Booking in has been super easy both for regular check ups, and even major dental procedures. I do my regular checks here and have had my wisdom teeth removal done under sedation. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: My actual dentist is very good. My main problem is the service. I arrive for my appointment only to be told its an hour later. Then magically I receive an SMS advising the new appointment time. Problem is - this has happened before. The reception staff have poor communication skills and need proper training.

Fantastic experience: I have been nothing but happy with all the dentists I've seen at this centre (and I have seen a few!). Very caring dentists who take the time to explain the problem and don't try to con you into unnecessary procedures.

Negative experience: The experience I had at this place is not one star worthy. I read last couple of comments about this dental clinic, even then thought to go for it because of doctor repute. I was absolutely wrong in my decision and must have learnt from others experience before wasting 1 good week in pain. At least from medical profession I always expect a bit of sensitivity and more so for dental profession where you are compelled more so in intolerable pain. But this place fails in all parameters. Got issue in wisdom tooth and finalized to extract it. Did my homework to zero out an experienced doc and came across about Dr. Tejas in this clinic. Spoke at reception to book an appointment and was asked to share x-rays. Did the same on very same day and nothing heard back whether seen ? All good, finally reaching there on appointment day. There is no parking space in clinic and all street parking was full. Need to park around 500m away from clinic and it wasted around 12 minutes to reach to clinic. Now the way we were treated completely shocked us and never experienced anywhere around. Receptionist told us you are late and thus your appointment is cancelled. We asked why, then given all circle excuses that some emergency appointment is given to someone else. How come can you do this without informing us ? We are travelling with a baby in afternoon taking a day off for this appointment. We insisted to speak with doctor and who was there to talk us saying see with other doctor rather than finding him occupied in attending emergency appointment. We requested he can have a look in remaining time of our appointment and we can come back for follow up treatment as extraction was planned to happen in next appointment. But unfortunately he did not show any compassion and was surprisingly unprofessional in conveying his message. The only suggestion or request to you guys : show some etiquette suitably reflecting to your profession otherwise how good you are not going to worth.

Negative experience: I've been a member of NIB for a long time now.. the time I choose to utilise my dental cover is when the office/doctors refuse to return my calls. Ive left countless voicemails and customer service advise they have too..NOTHING! With the recent increase in premiums remind me what exactly I'm paying for if I can't even get a return call to proceed with dental work.. probably better of transferring to HCF or another fund that actually has time to return a phone call...

Negative experience: I went here once a few years ago. Never returned. I have decided to post a review as I have read other reviews in the hopes they had improved and should I reconsider attending again. It was a few weeks before Christmas. My appointment had been made months before. I arrived for my appointment only to be told I had cancelled it. I hadn't. It eventuated that another family with the same surname had an appointment earlier in the day and when asked about my appointment, said no they didn't know anything about it. Despite the fact that our addresses were different, our contact details were different, our Nib membership details were different and I'm an adult, not one of their children, my appointment was cancelled with no notification. And yes, it is an ethnic surname. From there, they managed to get the one remaining dentist to agree to see me. I waited 45 minutes. During the consultation, she went to great lengths to tell the assistant - me she ignored - how annoyed she gets at customers who want last minute appointments and how she was now going to miss out on her Christmas shopping... I had X-rays taken. By the time they were ready (another wait) the dentist had left and the receptionist was left trying to explain to me what the outcome was. Yes I got charged for it. To this day I still don't know what the outcome was. Was it a Medicare/insurance rort? Who knows... I've never been back. I'm not someone who loves going to the dentist to begin with so their behaviour has significantly impacted my dental health. Even for free, this place is not worth the money.

Negative experience: Ive been here a number of times with my family. Simply because with NIB im entitled to zero gap checkups twice a year. Even though its a half hour drive for us. Average service and always had the feeling i was treated like cattle but i put up with it since when you are covered by NIB free checkups are only available from the NIB dental centres. This last time was to be my last time! I booked ahead 6 weeks in advance, left work early and pulled my kids out of school early, drove 30 minutes and paid for parking only to arrive and be told the dentist (Dr Hadeel Ibrahim) had the afternoon off and they tried to call. (i checked my phone and it was 30 minutes before the apt!) Their plan was to get in touch with her and get them to come in while i waitied there with my 2 kids. Not acceptable! I wont be back, ive also changed to Bupa and left nib after 10+ years
