Fantastic experience: After years of abuse of my teeth due to adhd health issues, I was reluctant to see a dentist due to the embarrassment of the state my teeth were in. Had appointment with Boris.... I don't often put up reviews but after meeting Boris and having a comprehensive look into the state of my teeth, it's the first time I have ever had a dentist that has showed actual care and compassion relating to the treatment and work that will be required to have my teeth fixed. I actually fault like a patient he honestly cared about instead of just another patient, he makes he feel welcome and that he usnt there to just make money off you but that he actually loves the work he does and the help he can give people. The technology and comprehensive breakdown of everything that was wrong with my teeth was way beyond my expectations, the way Boris explained everything gave me so much confidence and was made easy for me to understand what is wrong and why my teeth are the way they are. Not once was I made to feel forced to go down a particular path to have my teeth fixed but instead had multiple option layed out to me then had a comprehensive email with photos and xrays emailed through to me for record to allow me time to choose a path for myself. The icing on the cake was the two beautiful receptionist that greet you when you first arrive, their bubble and friendly really made me feel comfortable and relieved a lot of my anxiety for my appointment. Huge thank you too the whole team and please if anyone is needed a dentist they can trust and make you feel wanted and cared about.... BOOK IN! You will not regret it and I'm looking forward to go back to have my teeth fixed in the future.

He is not only an absolute top-notch professional at what he does, but does it with great passion and genuinely care for his patients. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this dentist highly enough. Having just moved to Australia, I called this practice in a state of panic knowing I needed a filling to be done urgently. From the minute someone picked up the phone I felt reassured. Dr Boris did an amazing job that was totally pain free whilst also making an effort to keep costs to a minimum (minimal x rays for example).

Fantastic experience: I had found myself in need of a dental examination following a rapid deterioration of my oral health. Not having a regular dentist in the area, I identified SYDG through a Google search and was able to organise an appointment with ease. On presentation, I found my Dentist (Fiona) to be extremely welcoming and exhibiting a genuine sense of care. The examination was conducted quickly and efficiently. That said, I felt Fiona was thorough in relation to her questioning and that she was considering all possible factors and potential ailments that may be cause of my symptoms. I have confidence in her prescription and left very satisfied. I also note, that all the staff I had interacted with were absolutely lovely and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Boris is the Rembrandt of teeth! Can’t say enough positive things about him.

Negative experience: Had an ok experience when I was there, but was then quoted $3k for a mouthguard for grinding and a few fillings. But when I visited another dentist he said that I didn’t need any of those things and my teeth had no signs of grinding , also no need for any fillings. Wouldn’t trust going here unless you want to be ripped off.

Fantastic experience: It’s really tricky for someone just moved to the city to find a compatible dentist, in that case I recommend STDG and Sofia.The staff is very friendly, Sofia and the nurse are gentle. They make reasonable amount of time for your appointment and wouldn’t rush. I have a complex case, Sofia patiently explained all the possible outcomes and solutions.

They fit me in on the day and Anton was able to remove my tooth in the chair that afternoon. I was horrifically scared to do this in the chair and Anton and the team made me feel very comfortable and reassured. On arrival I opened my mouth, the nurse fainted and I heard the receptionist on the phone to the zoo, asking them if they’d lost a camel. After the initial shock, however, Sophia, OMG what an Angel, got right to work. With the sweetest bedside manner, you could ever dream of meticulously took me through what would be best to put my war torn pirate ship of a mouth back together again. ‘Perhaps we should start with a clean, now this is a toothbrush…etc.’ On my second visit as I rounded the corner into their street my teeth became so exited they actually jumped out of my mouth and started running on the pavement in front of me to get there faster. South Yarra Dental Group are the friendliest and warmest dental group I have ever been to, all of them! Fantastic experience: Sofia Vorontsov and Bao Tran Moved to Melbourne 2.5 years ago and struggled to find a dentist I fit with. Found this clinic, they squeezed me in and were so proactive in contacting previous dentist to get updated records. I was lucky enough to see Sofia.. She was / is amazing! Super knowledgeable, explained this really we'll, great attention to detail and picked up things other dentists haven't. (Like having a fracture across one I my teeth - which in hindsight I have had for many years (from grinding teeth), however no one else has picked it up. I highly recommend her, Also saw Bar (hygienist) and she is awesome as well. Again, I know I was getting a super thorough clean, she had great level of detail, super nice and friendly. Definitely recommend these guys if you are looking for a south yarra dentist!
