Fantastic experience: Efficient. Patient. Knowledgeable dentist The girls at reception were keen to get things correct
Negative experience: Absolutely worst experience I've ever had at a dentist, I was sat down for less that 5 minutes before the dentist and her assistant where just sat laughing at my x-rays saying there is nothing they can do without removing all of my teeth which they cannot do. I then went to the Griffith uni dental clinic who managed to fix my tooth and repair and save it without extracting in the one session A STUDENT! and they took better care of me that Griffith uni then they did here. When you go to pay reception will yell out asking how you would like to pay so everyone in reception can hear, They left the doors open for the 5 minutes my appointment was, then charged me $130 to tell me they can't do anything. I cannot recommend hard enough to go anywhere else but here!!
Fantastic experience: My whole family comes to this dental practice. Dr Ethan Lim is a fantastic dental surgeon. He provides professional, genuine care for the whole family. My kids all love coming to the dentist to see him, its a highlight of their day! He makes you feel comfortable, always checking in with you throughout your treatment/procedure and has expert knowledge and advice. Just all round exceptional care! Thank you!
Negative experience: My appointment was pushed back an hour without anyone notifying me, used to be a good but this Ave has slipped in last year and won’t be coming back as I value my time.

Fantastic experience: My husband was a patient of Ethan's. Wow! I can't recommend him enough! He's a really nice genuine man, very kind and thoughtful. Like a lot of people, my husband was nervous, but Ethan worked his magic! He explained everything upfront and as he went. His assistant Montana was amazing as well!

Negative experience: I’ve been coming here for four years and usually had good experiences, but unfortunately this last visit was very disappointing. I had to stop my cleaning halfway because I felt the process was not handled professionally. The nurse didn’t provide protective glasses, seemed unsure how to assist the dentist, and was even distracted by the TV during the procedure. I hope the clinic can address these issues, as I would like to see the same level of professionalism I experienced in the past.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ethan from the Helensvale branch was amazing with my 8yr old. She was very anxious and scared about getting a needle and getting a filling but he was so patient and gentle with her and she didn’t feel anything! Highly recommend him! Negative experience: We had previously visited Pacific Smiles Helensvale a few years ago and had a genuinely great experience, which is why we felt comfortable returning. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on April 29th has left us extremely disappointed. This time we were seen by a different dentist who did not clean our teeth properly at all - I left the clinic with visible plaque still on my teeth, which has never happened in any dental visit anywhere (we typically have cleanings done twice a year). I noticed the issue that evening and called the practice the very next day. Initially, they offered to book me in again with the same dentist, which made little sense to me given the poor quality of the service. They then said someone would call me back to arrange a better solution, but I never heard back. After waiting about a week with no response, I reported the issue to my private health insurance since I would now need to see another dentist to have the job properly done. My insurer contacted the clinic and advised them to follow up with me. I finally received a call a few days later. I spent 18 minutes on the phone with the admin practice manager, who was unsure about dentist availability and had to keep checking back and forth dates. She told me we would pencil in an appointment for May 20th and I was told I’d receive a call to confirm it. The day before the appointment came and no call, no confirmation, no SMS, nothing. It became clear that no proper arrangements had been made and to this day, I am still waiting for that promised call back. It’s really upsetting to be treated like this, especially when you come in expecting professional care. The lack of accountability, follow-through and respect for the patient's time and concern is just unacceptable. This could have easily been handled with transparency and care but instead it’s turned into a frustrating and extremely disappointing experience.

Negative experience: Their booking system is a joke. 2 days after I made my initial booking I received a call to change it as they were fully booked at that time. I called on my way to my appointment today and was told that I wasnt in their system as I hadnt responded to an automated txt that was sent to me yesterday. This txt was marked as spam so I didnt even see it until this afternoon...how was I supposed to respond? Didnt think to maybe give me a call to confirm? Waste of my time. This practice was recommended to me by my private health cover so I will be making a complaint with them also.

Dr. Kayala, along with her male assistant, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and skill throughout the entire process. Before beginning the treatment, Dr. Kayala took the time to thoroughly explain the issue with my teeth and outlined the steps of the procedure, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed. During the cleaning, she frequently checked in to make sure I was okay and made sure I was not experiencing any discomfort. Negative experience: Went in to get my toddler's teeth checked out as she had several injuries. Found them as my private healthcare provider clinic and I just assumed I won't have to pay because I NEVER had to pay for any dental check ups. At the end of the visit, I was charged a gap of $11, which was not much, but I was curious why I got charged, thinking it was the cover for children, so I spoke to my private health insurance and I was advised it was because I went in for a specific issue, not the 'Free dental and check up' package. There are different ID service for different dental services. Service and staff were good, but I still feel cheated because I was not fully informed of the price involved and different services not fully covered. This information should have been provided when the appointment was made. It's the decent thing to do. But it wasn't, which was very cheeky of them.

Negative experience: Made an appointment and be there 5min before as requested because I was a new patient. After submitted the form, waiting at the reception for 20min without any instructions from anyone. Finally a receptionist told me that Dr I booked has been on emergency procedure and they don't know what time I can get my treatment. Next available booking will be in 2 days and as I have a job my schedule is not that flexible. In the end, I booked the other dentist next day. I understand long waiting time at dentist and Dr had to treat emergency patients but I thought it would be a common manner to let me know Dr may not be available on time I booked as soon as they know about it. Disappointed the way they gave me the news that I may not be able to see Dr on the day I booked. Quick notice and response are always the key to have your job done properly in any field. I hope they understand all the patients need their help but also we spend our time and money to come to see them. The receptionist lady was very kind and she apologised to me many times.

Negative experience: Went there this morning with a sever toothache. My regular dentist put a temporary filling in two days ago and now my tooth started to hurt really badly. I was shocked that they just turned me away even though I told them that I am in pain. No compassion no help.

Fantastic experience: Met Dr Nishat first who examined my mother's problematic teeth and discussed X-rays. Met Surgeon Allauddin Siddiqi who extracted mother's tooth very carefully due to her Osteoarthritis, Osteoprosis and Prolia bi annual treatment for her deteriorated bones. If Mother's GP had not recommended them, we would have never come across their excellent service! :-) The receptionist on Sunday was very polite, caring and soft spoken as compared to some Asian impolite domination female on the phone one evening. So do not let any trifle bad matter stop you from meeting the REAL professionals!

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. These dentists literally have no idea what they’re doing and it’s concerning. My partner had a tooth removed here and spent several weeks picking pieces of tooth out of his gum as it healed. The dentist’s refused to give him pain killers. He has had another tooth removed and developed dry socket after a seizure, again no pain killers. It wasn’t until he had a literal bone infection that they gave him something to help with his pain? So yeah if you’re keen to get only parts of your tooth removed, a bone infection and ZERO support from your dentist, well this is your place!

Negative experience: Avoid!! At all costs! Booked in 2 children: 1 for check up and a filling and 1 for just a check up clean. Priced at $159 and $99. Receptionist called 3 times to confirm treatment and booking. Get in the chair and old mates like filling is $224 on top of check up and clean. Should have read the reviews before booking as this is a clear trend... get you in the chair then over charge what was quoted. Previous experience they tried to have us pay to have a coating added to baby teeth on a 10 year old!

Negative experience: I called to change both my partner’s and my appointment times because we received messages stating that the doctor wasn’t available that day. The receptionist was very impatient and didn’t clearly inform us of the new appointment times. As a result, my partner had to call them again later in the day to ask about the appointment times. Unfortunately, the same impatient receptionist answered and again did not clearly inform us of the new times. We had to confirm the details with her ourselves. After double-checking, she just said "correct" and hung up without any thank you or greeting after my partner said, "thank you so much." I forgot the name of the receptionist. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: I got a vernier over there and after 6 mount very short time for a vernier they fell off while I was walking ,not doing anything that put any stress in my mouth. I was feeling very bad so I call asking if someone can fix that up for me and very rude indian receptionist shut me down very rudly and without a drop of sympathy told me that they were book. They are very friendly while they charging you. Will never come back rude people and no long lasting quality on their jobs.

Fantastic experience: So so so happy for this dentist. My little one chipped her front tooth while we were down from Melbourne on holidays and the receptionist who was so lovely told us to come in immediately so they could access it, We were there within 15 mins and the dentist did an xray and assessed the tooth. Fantastic experience: Dr .Upesh Dahal is the best along with his team ofcourse .He is very professional and explains everything in detail before he starts the actual treatment and makes his patients feel very comfortable .Very talented dentist I have finally found in Gold Coast after living here for 20 years. Always a happy patient when I leave the clinic and my family feels the same . Negative experience: Disappointing experience Went in with a sore tooth as a filling fell out. Was told the tooth was fine and pain radiating from another area. Told to do an aesthetic test at more money to prove his theory. Glad I didn’t as it was not the issue. Asked for my sore tooth to be filled regardless as it had been filled before, no surprise my sore tooth is no longer sore. Cost $333 for a tiny filling and only after I asked for it to be done. Still wasn’t a full filling. Consult seemed to be more about $$ than patient care.

Fantastic experience: After not visiting a dentist for over 22 years I was embarrassed to be showing up in the dental chair with a mouthful of issues. However, the staff make you feel absolutely comfortable and I was pain free in one visit. Glad to have had AHM dental cover which covered half the costs of extraction.
