Positive experience: So after a great first visit can't say that for the second one, showed the dentist which teeth had to come out he then wriggled every other tooth to see if there were anymore that might need to be removed which I knew there were not. Numbed my gum, mouth then extracted two teeth put a gauze pad in as per normal and sent me on my way. There was no mention of coming back in a certain timeframe to see about getting a plate made up ( as I only have five teeth left in the bottom ) or any other work that might need doing, just a thanks and pay on your way out basically. Note: the Dentist I saw was not the same as my first visit, he actually did give me timeframes to come back and get a plate done after any teeth that needed removing were done.

Fantastic experience: Sundial Dental at Laurieton has honestly restored my faith in not only dentists but in humanity. Sounds extreme but I genuinely felt so cared for, by every single person I spoke to, from the receptionists at the front desk to the dental assistant, oral health therapist and the dentist who was the owner of the practice. I was treated with such enormous amounts of respect as they each asked to hear my story and dental history. I felt like a person not just another number to get in and out. Thank you all so much. I was so nervous to come in because of my past experiences with dentists being so poor. You all settled my nerves and made me feel so extremely comfortable and valued. I’m so grateful!

Positive experience: It was my first time at this dentist. Dr. Washington showed me the X-ray of my teeth and where the problem is, so there was no denying the problem. It was bad news. Ideally the tooth needs to be capped. It will be expensive and we decided to leave it. This is not ideal. When I came home and thought about it I realise it needs to be dealt with. Either remove the tooth and have it capped, soon. I appreciate his honesty and I will be continuing with him.

Negative experience: Didn't fix the tooth that I went specifically to have fixed due to loss of a filling, instead extracted a filling from another tooth and refilled, then the tooth I originally went to have filled cracked so 1 filling turned into 3 fillings. 2 of which I wouldn't go back to Sundial. A clear case of over servicing, money grabbing. Very annoyed and very expensive.

Fantastic experience: I saw the dentist, Leila Cao, for my troubled tooth which was not satisfactorily treated after having seen about 10 dentists in the past 5 years. Leila immediately recognised the problem when I described it, and carefully treated my tooth. I have not been happier as it’s the first time in 5 years I have been able to use that tooth again. Great professional team they have there at Sundial Laurieton. Highly recommended.

Had been to two other dentists in Port Macquarie and they couldn’t find the problem and why I was in excruciating pain. 5 minutes in the Chair and my problem was diagnosed. Problem was complicated but they fixed the problem to get me out of pain. Off to endontist to finish finish the complicated procedure. I am pain free and they have phoned to check on me 24 hours later. Thank you Melinda

Fantastic experience: Reception staff very friendly - and then Dr. Jake and MJ looked after me very well in the treatment room - constantly checking to see I was not in any pain or discomfort, and talking through the various procedures along the way so that there were no surprises. Not exactly looking forward to my next visit (who is?) but I will return in the future, and would happily recommend to anyone looking for caring and considerate dental treatment.
