Fantastic experience: Booked a last minute appointment to investigate a toothache. Was seen by Dr Nihal Rao; he was able to identify the problem, and immediately organized for a tooth extraction all in the same evening. Dr Rao took some X-rays on the spot, explained the procedure thoroughly, and went through all the different options for my care post-procedure. I was very impressed with Dr Rao's bedside manner. Highly recommend this dental practice and Dr Rao if you're looking for excellent service with affordable prices.

Negative experience: I had a routine appointment back in September where I had my teeth cleaned, and discussed getting my wisdom teeth out. Was told they will check with the surgeon if I need xrays. 6 months later, I have still not heard about whether I require xrays or not. Granted, I did not chase them up, but I had clearly fallen through the cracks. I scheduled a new appointment to get this sorted. On this occasion I saw Dr Rao, who I must say was very informative and very pleasant to deal with. He arranged me to see Dr Sean Hogan for my wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Hogan spent 99% of the consultation talking about everything other than the after care. I was handed a sheet which I read at home, most of which was not communicated verbally. Also had to wait for quite a while to be seen, sitting in the waiting room listening to him discuss everything other than dentistry, and the same was repeated with me, door wide open, with the patient after me in the waiting room. After a weekend of hell dealing with complications of the extraction (severe pain, not sleeping, needing antibiotics), I contacted the dental practice to be seen and was told that I should try and clean it properly and they couldn't see me that day. I have probably spent about 2000 dollars over the course of this whole process, and would expect better follow up for that kind of money. If you are going to charge this money you better be there for the patient when they run into difficulties. I felt totally fobbed off and brought my business to a different dental practice who recognised and acknowledged my obvious distress and saw me in a timely fashion. Overall disappointing

Negative experience: Do not go here!! Had 4 fillings done by Dr Julian Francis who felt rude and undermining during my entire consultation. I received care for 4 fillings which were not a good colour match, only took 40 minutes and didn't feel right. I later got care at a different dentist and ended up needing the work replaced. I wasted over $800 on treatment. Would NOT recommend.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Dr Nihal is an excellent dentist and extremely informative. As someone with health anxiety, I was very nervous entering the surgery but Dr Nihal put me at ease straightaway. Highly recommend this dental practice. I will definitely be returning as a patient.

Fantastic experience: I recently have had many excellent experiences with my dentist Dr. Nihal Rao During my first check-up. Dr. Rao provided a clear strategy to improve my dental health and was refreshingly honest about my options. After having two wisdom teeth removed (today), I was particularly impressed by how Dr. Rao calmed my nerves before the procedure. The extractions were smooth and gentle, making the experience much easier than I anticipated. It's not often you feel very well looked-after by a dentist, but Dr. Nihal Rao certainly has held that space for me, in each one of our dental appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Rao for outstanding service, professionalism, empathy and pricing. I've attached a photo to show you how nervous I was before going in to get both wisdom teeth taken out. More people should know about this exceptional care! 5 stars all-round

Negative experience: It’s just somehow doesn’t satisfy with the service here. Aside from the good part that the cooperate Dr. Sean did the good job to take out my wisdom tooth. Have to book appointment on certain time to do this surgery with Dr Sean. I wasn’t happy with additional X ray which i had to carry my painful tooth go to other place to have x ray scan. Then take out wisdom tooth can you believe cost me $600. And staff just wasn’t engage with patient. Always recommend to filling my teeth even though i say no alot of time.

Fantastic experience: Great dental practice - was able to book in on very short notice for emergency slot with wisdom tooth pain; Dr Rao assessed, took XRays, and then removed the tooth all within 40 minutes! Called the next day to checkup and see how I was, he was knowledgeable and professional. Couldn't recommend more - also VERY reasonably priced on comparison to other Melbourne dentists.

Negative experience: Yesterday visited about special clean & check-up. very disappointed with the service and cleanliness of the place and tools they used. equipment and the place seem never been clean for years... and asked about a filling up my bad tooth he's doesn't seem to find which one it's. and charge extra for $40 for Xray. My mistake to came to this place, equipment and quality of service are very poor. Even in Vietnam, Laos and Thai much better than this filthy place.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a check up and clean after not seeing a dentist for over a decade. Dr Shanthini was very fast, informative and kind. Doing a clean after a decade of neglect is pretty confronting, and I think this is a good place to go for anyone in a similar position who feels anxious about it. No judgement, allows you to take breaks, empathetic if you start feeling overwhelmed.

Negative experience: My first appointment here was wonderful, but my follow up was really upsetting. Same dentist but completely different approach. I wasn’t listened to, or believed, and was made to feel inconsiderate for not obeying the dentist’s demands to get a surgical procedure under local anaesthetic - even though I explicitly said I required extra care (general anaesthetic). I also ended up doing my own research to prevent my gums from bleeding, which should have come from the dentist at the appointment when she didn’t believe me when I said I flossed everyday. I’m no longer comfortable attending this practice, but with this review I hope it improves the dentist’s approach for other customers.

Fantastic experience: I needed a filling but the xray showed major cracks in the tooth so it had to come out. Dentist Rao and staff were very patient, though with explanations and the extraction post extraction result was smooth. On leaving I had gauze in my mouth so hard to speak so i wrote on a piece of paper 10/10. Thankyou Bridge Rd Dental.

Negative experience: If you have even the slightest fear of Dentists stay away. I just went for a clean and it was the most savage, rough and painful experience I've ever had.

Fantastic experience: I attended Bridge Road Dental because a tooth was causing me intense pain. Dr Shanthini was methodical and concise in her explanation of the possible treatment pathways. For me extraction was the best option even though I was dreading the procedure due to all the stories I had heard of dentists having to wrench and wrench to extract the tooth. However, for me, today, Dr Shanthini set the pliers three times to get the best angle, then on the third she took three pulls changing angle each time with the final pull removing the cracked tooth as smoothly as can be. Awesome experience. I cannot recommend Dr Shanthini any more highly.

Fantastic experience: I can not recommend this practice enough! I was a new patient, frantically trying to find a dentist to see me and after sending a message on Easter Sunday detailing the pain I was in from an infection, Dr Nihal & Dr Shanthini opened the practice just for me on Easter Monday. They kept me so calm & were absolutely wonderful. As soon as Dr Nihal got the tooth out I was instantly relieved. I have definitely found my new practice!!

Negative experience: I’m actually disgusted with this dental office - I can’t even wrap my head around why they have so many good reviews. I booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance, in which I stated on their online portal exactly what I was needing done, I had a previous consultation with another dentist and had my x-rays I knew exactly what I needed. The dentist spent 25 minutes explaining a root canal to me which I really didn’t need as I knew what it was and was ready to start my treatment, in so much pain and was wanting to start. I go through my payment options with her and tell her I’m ready to start the first part of my treatment, mind you I’m willing to pay almost $500 upfront and she tells me she doesn’t have time to do my treatment. It had been literally 28 minutes she spent with me before saying she had other patients to attend to. Disgusting. Horrible horrible way to treat a patient, let alone a new one who’s never been to your office before. I will never go back & will be advising friends and family to not go back. Office was old & staff so unfriendly.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this dentist, which surprised me as they had a lot of good reviews here. The clinic was in a bad state (dark and old), the bathrooms were unacceptable (see pictures below), but even worse there was no hand soap available in the bathrooms. I had to go downstairs and use the "strictly staff only" sink just to wash my hands. I had a pretty bad experience in the chair and ended up finding another dentist instead for a trouble free procedure in a modern clinic. Went from a huge list of fillings that this clinic told me I needed to get done, to only one or two at my new dentist. Hard to not feel like it was a money grabbing scheme here. They also ignored the patient file transfer request from my new clinic so my files weren't able to be transferred, and I had to pay for additional x-rays at my new clinic.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a root canal, the team were super friendly and kept me at ease. I've gone back for stage 2 and 3 since, each time I've had the same exceptional level of service. Highly recommend these fellows for turning an otherwise daunting experience into something a bit more enjoyable!

Fantastic experience: I accidentally happened to visit this place to get a second opinion after having been examined by my local dentist where I was asked to straightaway book a RC surgery. And I’m really glad I chose to do so. The Denist Mrs. Shanthini was very thorough with her examination and was quick to determine the real cause of pain. A small cavity at an awkward angle on my back tooth. Everything was fixed in 30 mins. The clinic is very clean, hygienic and equipped with modern technology. It was interesting to get a live video feed of my teeth on the screen as I was being examined. The consultation was very informative and saved quite a bit of my money. They are very reasonably priced and well accessible. They also accept the Smile membership for discounted pricing. I’d recommended this place any time to all my friends and acquaintance.
