I know she has many patients, but every time she still takes the time to carefully ask about our health and gives us the most professional advice. The reception staff at Hurstville Health Practice are also very friendly. There have been many times when I needed to see a doctor urgently, and they always tried their best to help us. I’m very satisfied with this clinic — from the doctors to the nurses and all the staff. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: I find Hurstville medical practice extremely inadequate in their administration and reception service. Their waiting queue is usually always long and appointments almost never on time with a bare minimum of 30-45 mins wait past your booked time based on my past experience. I did not find their reception staff very helpful in multiple occasions, their process is also very outdated and there seems to be quite a bit of disconnect between their doctors and reception at times as well which further adds to the frustration. The only reason why I did not give them a one star (or no star really I could) was because it’d be unfair to some of their doctors who are extremely helpful and provide sound medical advice, namely, Dr Carol Ling and Dr Aldrin Tai especially. I find some of their other doctors a bit too trigger happy with antibiotics even when it is very clear the symptoms and diagnosis point to a viral infection, whereby antibiotics will do no good but to further compromise your health by getting rid of the good bacteria as well not to mention building up resistance to antibiotics. In Hurstville there are many other practices with great doctors to choose from. I would certainly suggest patients to go look elsewhere.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this medical centre to anyone. The level of care here is horrid - staff are unprofessional, disorganized, and show little regard for patients' matter of concern or wellbeing. Appointments abysmal, i was dismissed, and the overall environment feels chaotic and uncaring. When you go to a medical centre, you expect compassion and efficiency, but instead, you leave feeling frustrated and neglected. There are far better medical centres in the area, do yourself a favour and avoid this one. I would strongly recommend avoiding this practice and seeking medical help elsewhere. There are far better clinics in the area that actually treat patients with respect and provide the quality of care everyone deserves. bomboclaat!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Michael Liu at Hurstville Medical Practice is the epitome of what defines a truly caring and empathetic doctor. He is exceptionally thorough and always takes the time to explain tests, results, and outcomes in a way that is clear and reassuring. His recommendations and suggestions are always thoughtful and practical, showing genuine care for his patients’ well-being. I trust him completely with my family’s health and could not recommend him more highly. An outstanding doctor and a real credit to the profession.

Negative experience: Honeslty horrible experience with the receptionist not once have I had a good experience with them they are so rude and snappy after making you wait ages in line and then proceed to tell you off for being late when they made you late by working at a snails pace and talking to each other and having a laugh. She asked me for my date of birth and name I gave it to her then she continued to start screaming at me to give her the exact spelling as on Medicare and it was. When she noticed that she went back to speaking to me in a normal tone. Honeslty they are so disrespectful it makes you never want to go there even if you’re dying .

Fantastic experience: Nice reception, kind Doctors especially Dr. Jiang Li he saved my life literally

Negative experience: The nurse who gave my child a vaccination today was shockingly rude and completely lacking in patience. Her bedside manner was unacceptable, especially when dealing with a young child who was already anxious. The injection was done roughly, leaving my child distressed and in tears. This level of care is simply not good enough. I wouldn’t recommend bringing children here for vaccinations. I hope the clinic seriously reviews the conduct and training of its staff.

Fantastic experience: This is a great practice, very busy considering the area but the staff are efficient and organised. Never had a problem. I'm glad I found them

Negative experience: The 1 star belongs to the rude receptionist especially some elder staff. They deserve it!(but most of the Doctors are pretty good) The mother and a 1yrs old child travle by train 30 mins away from them by call prior to let them know will be late 10 mins because the little need nappy change by accidentally and the rude lady just yell over phone said we are waste their time and cancelled our appointment without any permission from us. We still recommend the GP there but when you see any elder rude receptionist try to punch back! They deserve it.

Fantastic experience: My doctor is dr. Tanvir rahman, and he is absolutely amazing. I have never had such a fantastic GP. All the staff and receptionists at the centre have always been wonderful. Very grateful to you all!

Fantastic experience: Dr Carol Ling is professional gp that I met,she is passionate and patient, my previous gp moved out,so I go to other medical center, now I am back this clinic because Dr ling.thanks for her caring .

Negative experience: The receptionist treated the patient with a terrible attitude, complaining that the new patient didn’t fill out the forms, thus increasing their workload. While I was filling in the emergency contact information, the receptionist displayed racial discrimination due to some differences between Chinese pinyin and English, repeatedly saying things like “you Chinese people” in a derogatory manner. This is the worst receptionist I have ever met in a clinic, and it doesn't even deserve one star. I will file a complaint regarding the discrimination with the Australian Human Rights Commission and Fair Trade.

Positive experience: Very efficient medical center, but they don't like you to ask too many questions, you are not welcome if you stay in one session for more than 10 minutes

Fantastic experience: Today I met the best doctor ever. Dr Michael Liu is so patient while listening to my needs and pains. Not only that, he genuinely cares about me and my family as my daughter also attended to him last week which she had a friendly experience. If anyone needs a family doctor, Dr Michael Liu is your priority.

Negative experience: Idk what's the meaning for booking. Everytime you need to wait for more than 1 hour!!!!

Negative experience: Don't waste your time. 2hr+ waiting time WITH a booking. What's the point of the booking? Btw, people arriving later gets their name called first. Great! Who's managing this trash of a place? Looking through reviews they obviously don't care. Gross.

Positive experience: Dr services are good, reception service is a joke when asked to pay for results to be emailed. Never have I been charged or have I charged anyone for emails.

Negative experience: The doctors are good but the wait time is terrible even when you have an appointment. Had to wait 2 hours and receptionists are not helpful

Positive experience: Dr Ivana Lu is an absolute BEAST. She is really nice and sympathetic and really listens to what you have to say. However expect delays of up to an hour especially in the afternoons.

Negative experience: Worst medical center ever I have visited. Suggested everyone stay away from it. I booked myself via their homepage by following the instructions, I selected standard appointment base on time slot with no preference of physician. I have receive the confirmation email and txt to see Dr Tai which I didn’t choose under that name, it just pop up for the time slot I chose.When I turn up for appointment , receptionist stated that doctor only see patient under work cover. I’m very sure I select standard appointment and I didn’t pick that doctor, the system pick up that doctor for me. Receptionist didn’t believe it even I show the evidence on my phone. They did not apologize for their booking system default, and they should not sent confirmation massage. When I ask to see the other doctor , they said it’s not bulk billed , apparently on their website says bulk bill. I received no respect from receptionist, I work as a nurse in RPA hospital clinic, I was shocking by this service here. You have booking , you get turned away even the doctor you booked is here and no apology for their fault, Do not attend this clinic. I Don’t want to give any star.

Negative experience: 今天预约4：15看医生 Louis yip（叶医生），我苦苦等了一个半小时，到了5点，他把比我预约时间靠后的人插队在我前面，让我继续多等了40分钟，进屋后态度很是无所谓。整个诊所没有管理，医生没有好的态度。再也不会来了！so disappointed!! 以上所诉如有不实，可以随时对证。

Negative experience: Worst medical centre ever visited. Dnt have any sort of customer service knowledge. Receptionists seemed kind of rude. If you dont carry cash with you then stay away from this clinic. They still dont have accept card. Seems that they are still running in stone age. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tanvir Rahman is an incredible, kind and courteous professional at his job. I always feel like I've been well-looked after when I see him (or speak to him on telephone consultations). The clinic is clean and well-maintained. The receptionists are friendly and always do their best to assist. I've been recommending HMP to all my neighbours and friends. Keep up the amazing service!

Negative experience: The receptionist was rude and racist. I was not aware that the premises require patients to wear the mask. As soon as I entered, the lady got triggered and started speaking in a rude manner. I paid her a dollar in cash and agreed to buy the mask. Later, two gentleman of chinese background arrived without any masks, and no one mentioned to them why they were not wearing mask.

Fantastic experience: Dr Aldrin Tai is incredibly kind and caring towards his patients. He has great empathy and is very knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Rang to see a doctor, Apparently I would have to register and pay then see the doctor to be bulk billed .. rip off taking money off people my advice is stay away. Pay to see a doctor what a joke in Sydney nsw.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Tai for many years and the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Dr. Tai himself is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and provides me with detailed explanations of any medical issues I'm facing. The staff at this practice are also amazing - they are friendly and approachable, and always go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.

Positive experience: TINA非常好！检查得很仔细，病情分析得很清楚，用药也说得很明白，而且非常有礼貌，尊重年龄大的人。但是医师年纪尚轻，临床经验稍有不足，给我开的消炎药没有什么效果，我后来又改用了Auburn 梁医生开的老处方才控制住了病情。

Negative experience: My appointment was at 12:15pm, I waited until 2:20pm. I asked the front desk twice. The first time being that there are still four sets of people in front of me, 11:30, 11:45, 12 and then me. Bear in mind, this was at the time of 12:55pm. The 11:30am patient was seen at 1pm. When it was 2:20pm, I told the reception they 2hrs wait is way too long. They seemed confused and called the doctor (Jin Wang). She then told me to just go inside the room. Now normally wouldn’t the doctor come and invite you in Anyways I went inside and the doctor said she called me. Now that’s a lie because every time she came out of the room, I had my eyes on her and there is no way she would have called my name. I went in, she had her back to me doing something I don’t know on the computer. Out of the 5-8 mins consult, we only had 1-2 mins eye contact. She showed no care at all, just gave me the paper works and that’s it. Worst GP experience when I really needed some help.

Negative experience: This medical centre is an absolute disgrace, they refuse to take my two and halve year old son because they don't take new patients! Someone should close it down so they can stop wasting tax payer's money!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Dr Ivana Lu. She is impatient at all. After waiting for her over 50mins appointment，she even ridiculed me, "if you are a queen, you will get premium service." We all konw Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed. How she dares to say so! So rude and so mean.No sympathy and professionalism. Disrespectful to others !! Shame on you.

Positive experience: Dr Ling is the best GP I have ever met, I’ve been with her for the last 15 years. If she wasn’t here I wouldn’t come to this medical centre, the receptionists are rude as! They are so unprofessional, can’t talk to people at all.

Negative experience: Quite disappointed by my experience at Hurstville medical centre. I was a new patient and had dr Ivana Lu. I had to wait 3 weeks for my results back when I was told I would get a call back the following week (visited June 6). Doesn't make me feel valued as a new patient at all.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr Aldrin Tai for many years, he is a very experienced, patient and kind doctor who always takes time to listen. The receptionists, Vicky and Celia are very helpful and accomodating.

Negative experience: Very poor adherence to appointment times. Making an appointment here is a joke. I have to wait almost two hours even when I'd an appointment.

Negative experience: Avoid Dr Michael Zhu at all costs. While I understand the pressure and stress that health professionals have been under due to the pandemic, its no excuse to be unprofessional and treat any patient with any less respect they deserve. We were rudely dismissed because Dr Zhu found it too time consuming and annoying (his verbatim) to answer legitimate questions we had regarding a recent medical procedure during the consultation. Perhaps Dr Zhu should consider a profession that requires less patience and empathy given that he certainly seems to be lacking both.

Negative experience: I made a 10am appointment for my 4 month old baby to see Dr Jing Wang on 31/12/21. We didn’t get seen until 11.50am. Given I have a young baby and there is coronavirus everywhere, I want to minimize the unnecessary waiting time at the medical center. I had to ask the receptionist twice to see why it was taking so long as I didn’t see the doctor come out of her room. If the previous patient needs a procedure, please allocate a longer booking window. Otherwise, other patients will have to wait longer. We waited almost 2 hours with an appointment. I feel the practice is disorganized and unconcerned about the welfare of patients and no empathy for parents with young children. Will reconsider seeing another doctor next time. Very disappointed with the service. A bit of a wait is acceptable but 2 hours for someone with an appointment is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever.. Only gives priority to their private patient. Better to hire someone who speak proper english. Receptionist told the blood test can be done on friday and later after an hour wait , she told the test cannot be done today. Gp is even worst… Zero communication skills.. Worst clinic ever. What a waste of money and time

Fantastic experience: I knew this centre from my friend who is very happy with the service and I can tell after my first visit in July, i am amazed with the service. As non-Chinese speaking I feel convenient when speaking with the receptionist. They're friendly and absolutely very patient as I saw some people sound rude to them. For sure, I won’t get worse when having this friendly environment. Today i called them to make appointment and the receptionist again clarifying clearly my query. So helpful!

Negative experience: First off this does NOT reflect my GP, he's been amazing. Unfortunately the clinic's booking system is flawed. You can not reach the reception by phone and the recorded message just adds insult to injury. Close to leaving this clinic because I need my GP but can not contact or book him online. So it has been a month since my first comment and I booked a telehealth appointment with a doctor that was assigned to me on the online booking system. NO ONE CALLED BACK at the time of the booking. The system isn't flawed. It does not work period.

My family including my extended family have all received our Covid vaccine jabs within a week from booking. We’re all very grateful for Hurstville Medical Practice. The practise is very well run and organised with an online booking system so you don’t have to wait too long before being seen by the doctor, which is a definite plus for me. Fantastic experience: Amazing receptionist who help me handle everything as I was late for my appointment. The wait time was incredibly short and the doctor was absolutely astonishing. Dr Michael Zhu went over everything related to the vaccine including side effects and what to do if anything occurs. Couldn't have asked for more!
